Getting out of the shower, Ron wrapped a towel around his waist, left the bathroom and made his way to the bedroom.
"Finally! I've been waiting on you!"
Ron jumped and had to grab the towel to stop it falling as he realised who had spoken. Ginny was sitting on the bed.
"What are you doing here?" Ron asked anxiously while fixing the towel.
"It's about last night. We can't just pretend it didn't happen!"
"It was a mistake! We'd both had too much to drink. No one ever needs to know. We'll just go back to how things were before!"
"Was it really?" Ginny asked as she stood up and started walking towards Ron. "I enjoyed it. And I'm sure you did too! Can you honestly tell me you're glad we were interrupted?"
Before Ron could reply, Ginny had closed the distance between the two of them and put her lips on his. Ron's resistance crumbled and he began to kiss back.
After about a minute, Ginny broke the kiss, took hold of Ron's hands and led him to the bed, smiling all the while. She pushed him down and proceeded to climb on top of him. She began kissing him again. Her hands wandered down his body, enjoying his toned chest. Breaking the kiss again, she moved her mouth to his ear, "Tell me you want me!"
"I want you!" He responded instantaneously, no hesitation in his voice.
Ginny slid down his body, running her tongue along his abs. Continuing lower, she reached the towel. She opened it, revealing his manhood.
"Impressive!" She said and then moved her mouth to the tip.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"Huh?!" Ron snapped awake. His alarm clock was beeping. It had been a dream. Just a dream. Disappointment flooded him. He hit the alarm clock, turning it off.
What was going on? Making a drunken pass at his sister had been one thing. Dreaming about receiving a blow job from her was quite another. It was wrong! He knew it was wrong! But if it was so wrong, why did it feel so right? Rather than wishing it hadn't happened, he was wishing the dream had lasted longer. He wished the dream had been real.
That day, work was fairly uneventful. No smashed potions, no complaints, no talks from his brother, no major incidents of any kind. He got on with his work and everyone assumed the issues of the previous day had been dealt with. He was still glad to get home that night though. Far from being resolved, his issues had actually intensified. He had to decide what he was going to do next. He had to talk to Ginny for a start; had to apologise for last night and make sure their relationship wasn't beyond repair. But what was he going to do after that? Should he tell Hermione he kissed someone else? Was he still considering leaving her? He just didn't know. For now though he had other things to deal with; the kids were home and they'd be expecting dinner.
Ron expected Ginny to turn up at some point that night, or rather he hoped she would. But as time went by, minutes turning to hours, hope faded. He understood that the later it became, the fewer excuses she'd have for coming round. Around midnight he gave up entirely and headed up to bed. Within minutes he was drifting off to sleep. Whatever problems he had in life, sleep wasn't one of them. But at that moment he heard a tapping at the window which woke him up. He walked over to the window and opened it. An owl flew by him and landed on the bed. Walking back to the bed, he took the note from the owl's leg. As soon as the note was detached, the owl took flight and was gone.
He looked at the note:
Ron,
I've spent all day thinking about what happened. We need to talk! Stay home from work tomorrow and get rid of the kids. I'll be there at 10.
Ginny
He read the note again and again. He couldn't tell if this was good or bad. Sure she wanted to talk, which was good. But the more he read the note, the more he became convinced that it was written in anger; that there would be shouting involved and that he may well be about to lose a sister. He returned to bed, this thought weighing heavily on his mind. He tossed and turned and for the first time ever, sleep eluded him.
By the time ten o'clock arrived the next morning, Ron had already been out of bed for four hours and had been ready for three. The kids ate a quick breakfast that he had prepared (nothing like the meal prepared by Ginny a couple of days earlier) and then were practically thrown out of the house.
He sat in the living room, anxiously awaiting the arrival of his sister. He considered having a drink to calm his nerves, but realised that it was drink that had gotten him into this situation in the first place. Actually, if he was being honest with himself, he knew that wasn't true. Sure the drink didn't help, but he knew what he was doing; had been thinking about doing it all day. He just needed someone or something to blame. Alcohol couldn't defend itself.
At 10:01 the door opened and in stepped Ginny.
"Hi," Ginny said, barely glancing in his direction.
"Hey! Look Gin, about what happened. I'm sorry! Really, I am! It was stupid! I was an idiot! We're both married! Not to mention brother and sister. It was wrong! It shouldn't have happened! I'm sorry!" He knew he was rambling on, but he couldn't help himself.
"Ron, shut up for a minute, would you?"
"Ok! I'm sorry!"
"And stop apologising!" Ron looked sheepishly at the ground as she told him off. "Like I said in my note, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what happened and I'm not so sure it was a mistake."
"What?" Ron couldn't quite believe what he'd just heard.
"At least not your mistake. When I saw you the other morning, standing in your boxers, I felt something. Something I hadn't felt in a long time. I can't quite explain it, but my mind was filled with thoughts of you wrapping your arms around me and of me getting to enjoy that body of yours. I was filled with longing, desire. I wanted you. That's why I came back that night. So it's me that should be apologising. I took advantage of you. I'm sorry!"
"No, you didn't take advantage of me! I wanted you too. When I saw you dancing in the kitchen, it made me extremely happy. It caused me to question my entire life. You're the reason I messed up at work. I couldn't stop thinking about you! I was so happy when you came back that night! It might've be wrong, but I don't regret kissing you! Of that I'm sure! I just don't want you to hate me! I couldn't live with myself knowing I'd ruined our relationship!"
"Ron, I could never hate you! Whatever happens you'll always be my big brother and I'll always love you! But I don't know what we're supposed to do here. I don't regret kissing you either, but like you said, we're both married and brother and sister. As much as I'd like it to, nothing can happen between us."
"You want something to happen between us?" Ron sounded completely shocked.
"I... I guess so! But like I said, nothing can happen!"
"Why not? You want it! I want it! I think we owe it to ourselves."
"But too many people could get hurt! You have Hermione and the kids. I have Harry and the kids. If anyone ever found out our lives would be ruined!"
"But they never have to find out! We could make each other happy. Sure it's a risk, but what is life without risk? You just said I made you feel something you haven't felt in a long time. Harry obviously isn't satisfying you! Give into your feelings!" As he said this, he stood up, walked over to where Ginny was seated, kneeled in front of her and took her hands in his.
"I don't know, Ron. This is..." Before she could say anymore, he stopped her.
"Please! I love you! And I want to be with you! I'm willing to take the risk!"
He leant up and kissed her. For a moment she just sat motionless, thoughts running through her head. However, all the arguments she'd created in her head began to slip away. This felt right. She couldn't argue that away. And with that thought, she returned the kiss.
Their tongues mingled together, both fighting for dominance. Ron released Ginny's hands, moving one of his own to stroke her face, before beginning to play with her ear. He'd always had a thing for ears and judging by the noises coming from Ginny, she enjoyed having her ear played with. He moved his other hand to her knee and slowly inched his way up her thigh. Thankfully she'd decided to wear a skirt today, so he got to her panties with no resistance. He gently started rubbing, noticing that they were slightly damp. Ginny's moaning increased. Ron broke the kiss and moved his mouth to her ear.
"Let's go to bed," he whispered.
He moved his head back to look at her. Gazing into his eyes, she gently nodded. He placed one more kiss on her mouth before standing up. He took her hand and led the way.
