Hermione sat down next to Harry and across from Ron, without his usual leech attached to his face, thank god. She purposely positioned herself with her back to the Slytherin table, avoiding to look at a certain blonde haired boy. “Where did you go yesterday, Hermione?” Harry asked as he dug into his breakfast. Hermione looked up at him. “The library” she answered as if lying was her second nature. Harry laughed. “Well, of course you were, why did I even bother asking.” Hermione smiled at her best friend before digging in to her plate. She could feel his eyes stinging in her back. But she wasn’t going to look around, like hell she was! “He’s up to something” Harry scowled.
“Who is?” Ron asked, his mouth filled with food, of course.
“Malfoy” he hissed. Ron turned around to look at the culprit. Hermione quickly glanced behind her, just enough time for his eyes to find hers. She snapped her head back.
“He’s a wanker” Ron commented “did you see how he keeps looking over here, like he’s demanding an asskicking”.
“Don’t engage, Ron, you’ll just play into his game” Hermione tried to diffuse the tension, rolling her eyes.
“He’s been marked Hermione, I’m sure of it” Harry whispered. Then it dawned on Hermione, she didn’t even look for a mark last night, she didn’t even pause to check. Well, clearly, she wasn’t in her right mind. She was definitely going to plead temporary insanity on this case.
“I’m sure he isn’t, Harry, why would Voldemort want someone like Malfoy in his army?” Hermione inquired. Harry shrugged and that was the end of the conversation about Malfoy, luckily. But she felt his gaze on her for the rest of breakfast.
“Oi, Hermione” Harry poked her side. “Harry, I’m trying to pay attention, someone has to if the three of us ever want to pass this year” she hissed. She saw Harry think it over for a second. “But it’s important” he protested. “Okay, fine, you have one minute, and please, try not to get us both stuck in detention” she turned to her best friend and averted her gaze from Professor McGonagall. “Dumbledore wants to meet me in his office later this evening” Harry told her.
“Why?”
“I don’t know, the message didn’t say much, just that he was expecting me and that it was important.”
“Well, than you should go and meet him.”
“I know, I was just giving you a heads up.”
“Well maybe you should give Ron one, seeing as he is the one who usually relies on you for his evening boytime.” Hermione said. Harry nodded and turned to Ron. Hermione sighed and tried to catch up to what the professor was talking about. She was just getting up to speed when a tiny origami dragon landed on her lap. The tiny figure flapped it’s wings one last time and then puffed out some smoke, before coming to a complete stop. Hermione looked at the beautiful display of magic. The dragon was black, and the detail was amazing. In the muggle world, origami was considered a time consuming hobby, but nothing measured up to the dragon she saw in front of her. It has a small roll of paper in its mouth. Hermione rolled the message open and looked at the golden letters on the black paper.
We need to talk. Astronomy tower,9 pm tonight.
D.M.
As soon as Hermione was done reading the message, the dragon spit a fire and destroyed the message. Just in time, mere seconds later, Harry turned around to look at her again. Hermione subtly let the figure slide into her pocket and smiled at Harry before returning to talking notes. But her head wasn’t anywhere near the lesson. Was she going to see him tonight? Was it even safe? Maybe he is a deatheater. Maybe he’s going to kill her. She did want some questions answered, but hell, being alone with him was not a good idea. However, he could’ve killed her yesterday and he didn’t. She took a deep breath, she still had time to decide, it was only the first lesson of the day after all.
Hermione fell onto her bed as soon as she reached the common room. What was she going to do! How in the name of god had she not yet made a decision yet. She could kick herself right now. Come on Hermione, you’ve never took this long to make a decision. Alright, she would have to use logic to get out of this one. She took a blank sheet of paper and started writing down the pros and cons of meeting with him.

Contra:
“Okay, so it’s decided, I’m not going” she said to herself, proud. She threw the list away and took some clothes before wandering out of the common room to the bathroom. She deserved a bath.
She slowly slid into the hot tub, the scent of fresh vanilla entering her pores. The bubbles only left her shoulders and head untouched. Her head resting on the edge of the huge bathtub (which would qualify as a pool in the muggle world), Hermione let her mind wander. It was quiet in the bathroom, with only the occasional sounds of water dripping when she moved. The ideal place to relax. Harry would be with Dumbledore right now. Hermione wondered what they would be up to. Dumbledore had been showing Harry things that could help him defeat Voldemort when the time came. Hermione could only hope that he had something useful to tell Harry, they could use any help they could get. A fight was inevitable at this point. She could only hope that she and her loved ones would make it out alive. Suddenly, her thoughts took a different direction. Where would Malfoy be when the fight started? Would he be fighting alongside his father with Voldemort? Maybe he was already fighting for him now. Malfoy… the white haired boy with marble skin and stormy grey eyes. An image flashed before her eyes. Malfoy, looking down to her, his hair hanging in his face and his eyes piercing hers. She remembered the way his body had felt under her hands, the way his hands had felt on her body, the way he had made her feel when he was inside her. She felt a flutter in her stomach. Shit. Her eyes shot open. This was Malfoy she was thinking about! She couldn’t be thinking about the ferret in that way! It hit her then, she would have to go see him. Only then would she be able to think about him and what happened between them. Maybe then, she could forget all of this ever happened.
