Welcome Back To The Den!

Trunks coughed as a plume of strawberry red smoke went up in his face. “Nope- ack… not right…” he waved his hand and grimaced.

Ron snickered “Having trouble?”

Trunks stuck out his tongue then went back to working on a new product for Fred and George. Ever since the twins left the wizarding school, they’ve been doing really good for themselves, especially since opening their dream joke shop. Trunks started working for them for fun and loved designing new products for them. He designed new fireworks, a frisbee that looked like a flattened crocodile, a portable swamp, self-writing quills, decoy detonators, different versions of their classic fake wands and other new sweets like edible dark marks and he modified the canary creams recipe. He was currently working on a new product that would explode in different colors of flavored smoke. Right now, he was having trouble making the flavors stay and not taste like burned rubber. Trunks hearing picked up a new sound down stairs and he looked at Ron “Is that an owl?” Ron shrugged and Trunks put his things down then started down the stairs.

“Mum?” Trunks heard Ginny call out from the bottom floor.

Molly poked her head down over the edge of the stair handles “Ginny? What is it?”

“I was only wondering when Harry got here.” Ginny called up.

Trunks frowned “Harry’s not here. I think me and Ron would’ve known if he was.”

Ginny shrugged “Then why is Hedwig and his trunks here?”

Trunks hopped down the stairs and looked at the bags and snowy owl “Huh.” he looked over and grinned “Well hello there Harry!” he walked over to the teen and gave him a hug “Good to see you!”

Harry grinned and hugged the time traveller “It’s nice to see you too Trunks!”

When they parted, Ginny rushed past Mirai and hugged Harry tightly “Harry!”

Soon all the Weasley’s and Hermione were down stairs and taking turns hugging the young wizard. “Ah haha! Harry!” Molly looked happiest to see Harry and she cupped his face “Why didn’t you tell us you were coming?” she asked with a smile.

Harry smiled “I didn’t know. Dumbledore.”

Molly laughed “Ohhh that man! But then what would we do without him!” everyone chuckled and agreed.

Trunks lifted up all of Harry’s bags “I got it Harry.” he curled his tail around Hedwig’s cage loop on the top and floated up the stairs.

Later that night, the four of them -Ron, Harry, Hermione and Trunks- were sitting around in a curl around a burning and floating wad of newspaper. “So,” Harry started “When did you get here?” he looked at Hermione and Trunks.

Trunks smiled “Molly said as long as I helped around I could stay here.” Bula, a russian blue cat meowed and found her way into Trunks’ lap. Trunks chuckled and scratched her behind the ears.

“Two days ago.” Hermione said. She then looked sad “Though for a while I wasn’t sure if I was coming.”

Ron rubbed his hands together “Mum… sort of lost it last week. Said Ginny and I have no business goin back to Hogwarts. That it’s too dangerous.”

Harry looked bewildered “Oh come on!”

Hermione huffed “She’s not alone. Even my parents, and their muggles, know something bad’s happening.”

Trunks nodded “Molly tried to convince me too but I assured her I would be fine.”

Ron sighed “Anyway, Dad stepped in, told her she was being barmy and it took a few tries, but she came around.”

Harry shook his head “But this is Hogwarts we’re talking about! It’s Dumbledore! What could be safer?”

Hermione looked nervous “There’s... been a lot of talk recently that… Dumbledore’s got a bit old.”

“Rubbish!” Harry exclaimed “Well, he’s only… what is he?”

Trunks shrugged “Hundred and fifty? Give or take a few years?”

They all laughed at that. Harry looked at Trunks “Hey Trunks? How’s Vegeta?”

Trunks paled “Er… fine…? I don’t like to go over there…”

They all knew by now that Vegeta was carrying Goku’s child when Goku brought Vegeta with him to show Molly. Goku had asked Molly if she would be able to look after their cub when he was born while they were at school or were busy. Molly of course agreed with much enthusiasm. Vegeta was reluctant at first but knew how much his mate trusted the plump woman.

Harry chuckled “Yeah, I can understand that. He’s due any day now yeah?”

Trunks nodded “Yes, he is. They already named him from what I heard on my last visit.”

Hermione leaned forwards “Let me guess, Vegeta?”

Trunks shrugged “Vegeta told me it was part of the royal tradition to name the first born male, Vegeta. Goku said he was going to refer to the cub as Veget to keep the confusion down.”

Ron chuckled “Thank Merlin for that.”

Harry smiled and looked at Trunks again “And you and the twins? How’re you guys going?”

Trunks grinned brightly “Brilliant! I’ve made them so many new products that they and the public love! I’m working on a new product that’s a mix of a sweet and a joke product! When it explodes,” he made a huge motion with his hands “a big plume of colored smoke appears and you can taste what ever flavor was assigned to it!” he grinned mischievously “I want to make a black pepper one. It would make a lot of people sneeze and would be an excellent decoy product.”

Harry grinned back “Sounds awesome Trunks! But how’re you guys doing relationship wise? I’m curious.”

Trunks sighed with a smile of his face “It’s going great.” he winked and growled playfully “They’re amazing in bed…”

Ron put his hands on his ears “I DON’T WANT TO HEAR THIS!”

Trunks cackled scaring Bula who jumped off his lap and took to chasing Crookshanks around. “Not my fault I’m getting some arse and you’re not Ronald!” Ron groaned loudly and Hermione and Harry laughed louder. Potter then fell over on his side and clutching his stomach.
