Agmos' POV
Having no need to sleep, I decided to go to a nearby library. I didn't realize it, till I felt the pressure, but I had wandered into a magical district of businesses, offices, a couple of homes, and the library. I go in and the head librarian nods. I nod in return and look around, before wandering to the area that houses books about this world. I see titles such as: A History of Magic, Great Wizarding Events of the Twentieth Century, Great Wizards of the Twentieth Century, Hogwarts: A History, Important Modern Magical Discoveries, Modern Magical History, and Nature's Nobility: A Wizarding Genealogy. I ignore the one mentioning discoveries, a school and the wizards themselves. I pick up the others and take them to a nearby table and delve in. What I read intrigues me more. Their form of magic is done with wands and spells, potions and curses, runes and something called Divination. I read about the war and saw the pictures of the travesty that happened to so many in Britain. I note that this war never made it to American soil so that is why I never heard of it. I read of the sacrifices of the Potters and someone named Snape. Having read my fill, I turn to the lineage book. I pick it up and see the table of contents is a list of surnames. I see that the names come in three different colors. Some, like Abbot, Black, Carrow, Shacklebolt, and Weasley, are gold. Others, like Potter, Dumbledore, Goyle, and, I recognize, Prince, are silver. Others, like Spinnet, Boot, Corner, and Lovegood are bronze. I turn a page and see that the 28 names I saw in gold represent the Sacred 28 of purebloods. The silver represents the ones that are older than the Sacred 28, but have too common of a surname in the Muggle world, or were dying out. The bronze ones were the new family names. I flip back and note the page number for the beginning of the Prince section and skip to it. I read. Apparently the vampire was cousins with the Snape character that sacrificed himself in the war, he was her cousin. I read on and see that her betrothal, to a Regulus Black, was destroyed as he died young. I look up in thought and realize. The memories she had seen... they must have been of him. I return the books and go retrieve more, finding books on the magic itself. I wish to know her world. The magic here is so different from what I have seen before, Voodoo and dark magic. I read that there is dark magic, but it is highly regulated and that the three worst spells can get you sent to prison. I nod to myself, good. Hours pass as I continue to read. I note that the sky is lightning as I get to a stopping point and I return the books to their place before heading to the doors. I start suddenly. I see her appearing in a twirl of blue and black fabric at the end of the little street. I gasp, the dress she wears shows her shoulders and her curves, but not too much. And the color on her. I shake my head and watch as she adjusts her wand into a holster on her waist alongside a bag and she heads towards the lone bookshop. I hide behind a bookshelf as she passes out front. I see her turn, almost like she can sense me watching her, but she doesn't see me. The librarian sees this and gives a small snort. Zuria gets to the bookshop and heads inside. I slip into the shadows and appear inside the bookshop. I see her greet the people inside, then see her don a white apron on, tying her hair up, before sticking a quill inside and starting to check out the few customers inside the store. I hear about Ilvermorny, which I can only imagine is a school of magic somewhere, apparently here in America. The day continues as I quietly watch her, before I hear her tell her coworker that she is going to stop for a break. I see her head outside for a table and sit. She pulls a sandwich and chips from her bag. I get an idea and fade back to the shadows, before appearing in front of the tea shop beside the bookshop. I sense her see me and I walk inside. I head to the counter and ask for a cup of Earl Grey tea, remembering she is British, and a cup of coffee with pumpkin spice creamer for myself. I walk out, the teashop saying it's on the house, and head to her.
"Good afternoon, Zuria. Might I interest you in a cup of tea with me." I ask, offering the cup of Earl Gray, which the cashier insisted on handing me a small container with lemon and sugar with. She smiles and I see the glint of a fang.
"Of course, Agmos. I am surprised you wandered this far into a wizarding alley. Most demons I come across are hermits. They generally don't want to deal us mortals," she says as she sniffs the tea, smiles, and adds the lemon and sugar to. She sips afterwards and sighs appreciatively.
I sigh and lean back as I sit. "I generally don't. But... after our meeting last night, let's say I got curious. Not about you, more about this world. I have encountered other magic, but it was strictly dark or harmful. I wanted to see why this magic was different," I say, watching the mortals pass. I see a few mortals pass and a few of the witches stare at me with lust. After the fifth witch, I feel the familiar pressure... magic, from last night. I look at Zuria and she smiles at me while pocketing the wand.
"Like that. What did you just do," I ask, pointing at her with a talon, eyebrow raised. She smirks and glances at the passing mortals.
"I cast a ward to keep us to ourselves. I cast the same at your table in the bar last night. I figured you wouldn't want a repeat of last night," She replies.
I look at her appreciatively. She did that for me? Why? I decided to voice that last question.
"Because, while you may not need to be saved from every witch, even i get disgusted with the american witches throwing themselves at any man they deem hot enough," she says. The conversation has happened while she has been eating. I watch her. I notice the sandwich she is eating made from thicker bread than usual. I pull in a breath and smell venison, like it was recently killed. I look at her and she smiles.
"I can eat mortal foods, but with me helping idiotic kids all day, I normally try to ingest some blood to keep me from going off," she explains, as she licks her fingers from the blood that drips as she eats it. I watch that talented tongue and red tinted fangs and feel my pants tighten, as well as my heart tighten. Her dead family and betrothed have been on my mind since last night. I feel like I never want to see her upset again. That i never want her to be alone. Suddenly a white owl, a young snowy with darkish red tail feathers, flies down. It alights on Zuria's shoulder and she smiles.
"Tobias! Did you bring me a letter from young Albie Sev? Let me see," She says, as the owl bobs its head. It turns to me as she takes the letter and stares at me. When she removes the letter, it flies to the table before me and studies me. As this interaction happens, Zuria opens the parchment roll and reads. The owl, seeming to decide something, flies to my face. I swear this owl is giving me a death glare. If i could put words to that look it would have said 'hurt this being who is friends with my Master and i will kill you'. I nod and it bobs its head as it returns to Zuria's shoulder just as she finishes. She pulls parchment from her bag and quickly writes a small letter, before handing it back to Tobias and he flies away. She turns to me and I raise an eyebrow.
"Just a letter from a young, to-be student of mine. Asking about when i will leave here." she states.
"And what did you respond," I inquired, curious.
"I told him that as it's the 5th of August here, I will be leaving in 3 weeks so I have plenty of time to settle in before my students start at Hogwarts," she says. She finishes her tea and stands. She brushes her dress off and goes to head back in, but I feel something on my head. I jerk when I realize she has cast something over me. She bends over and whispers.
"That spell is a version of a Notice-me-not charm. I made it. Witches who would normally bug you will instead see a ferocious demon instead of the hot beast you are," her hot breath blows on my ear. I clear my throat and softly thank her. She brushes her hand on my shoulder as she goes inside and finishes, "that will last as long as you are in the alley today. If you leave it will end."
I stay sitting for a bit, before I head back to the mind realm that is my home. I don't see the others right now and that is fine. I head to my room and sit on the bed, that is rarely used, to think.
Zuria's POV
I get home and go straight to bed. I have to be at the bookstore early. I smile at a picture on my nightstand as I drift off. There stand the Weasleys and Potters. Arthur and Molly stand in the back. Bill and Fleur stood to Molly's right, Victoire standing before them, a beautiful witch of 15. Charlie stood to Arthur's left. Percy stood beside Charlie, hand around Penelope's waist, Lucy, 12, and Molly, 15, in front of them. George and Angelina stood beside Ron and Hermione, their respective kids in front. Fred II, 13 and Roxanne, 10, had bunny ears over each other's heads, while Hugo, 8, and Rose, 10, were standing calmly. Finally, Harry Potter and Ginny stood at the front, Albus, 10, James, 11, and Lily Luna, 9, proudly standing in front. The adults all held up wands that helped create glowing letters that read, 'come home soon, Aunt Zuria, we will miss you'.
I fell asleep. I slept hard till my alarm went off near dawn. I got up and put on my black to blue dress. I went to the kitchen in my loft and put together a deer sandwich and some crisps. I slipped them in the inner pocket of my bag at my waist, charmed to be chilled and protective. I grab my wand and look around, making sure I missed nothing. I then turn and disapparate to the alley of my work. I settle my wand in its holster at my waist and start to head to work. I feel eyes on me and a familiar presence at the library, but looking around does not yield anything, so i continue. I enter work and greet my coworkers, before grabbing my apron and tying it to my waist, pull my hair up, stick a quill in case I need one, and start taking care of customers. The first few are easy as the only ones out and about this early are adults grabbing on tomb or another. After 10, the students start coming in, either with parents or by themselves. I have memorized the book lists this year from Ilvermorny and am able to tell certain kids no when they try to sneak the wrong book past me, or add a wrong book to their set. Noon approaches soon enough and I tell my coworker that I am going on my lunch break. I head outside to a table and just sit down when I see.... Agmos? What is he doing here? I get distracted just long enough for him to go in and come out before I have pulled my lunch out. He walks up with two cups.
"Good afternoon, Zuria. Might I interest you in a cup of tea with me." he asks, offering a cup, with a container of lemon and sugar. I smile.
"Of course, Agmos. I am surprised you wandered this far into a wizarding alley. Most demons I come across are hermits. They generally don't want to deal us mortals," I say as I sniff the tea, smile, and add the lemon and sugar to. I sip afterwards and sigh appreciatively.
He sighs and leans back as he sits. "I generally don't. But... after our meeting last night, let's say I got curious. Not about you, more about this world. I have encountered other magic, but it was strictly dark or harmful. I wanted to see why this magic was different," He says, watching the mortals pass. "I cast a ward to keep us to ourselves. I cast the same at your table in the bar last night. I figured you wouldn't want a repeat of last night," I replied.
"Why," he asks, looking a little confused.
"Because, while you may not need to be saved from every witch, even i get disgusted with the american witches throwing themselves at any man they deem hot enough," I says. The conversation happened while I was eating. He watches me. I see him look at me curiously and decide to answer his unasked question.
"I can eat mortal foods, but with me helping idiotic kids all day, I normally try to ingest some blood to keep me from going off," I explains, as I licks my fingers from the blood that drips as Ieats it. Suddenly a white owl, a young snowy with darkish red tail feathers, flies down. It alights on my shoulder and I smile.
"Tobias! Did you bring me a letter from young Albie Sev? Let me see," I said, as the owl bobs its head. It turns to Agmos as I pull the letter off. I read the letter, unaware of what happens. Albus has written to complain about James again, then asks when i will be returning for the new semester at Hogwarts. I pull parchment from my bag and quickly writes a small letter, before handing it back to Tobias and he flies away. I turn to Agmos and he raises an eyebrow.
"Just a letter from a young, to-be student of mine. Asking about when i will leave here." I stated.

I brushes my dress off and goes to head back in, but I stop. I put my wand to his head and cast a modified Notice-me-not that I had invented. It would make whoever it was cast on look eviler or more disgusting than normal.
"That spell is a version of a Notice-me-not charm. I made it. Witches who would normally bug you will instead see a ferocious demon instead of the hot beast you are," I say as I lean over and grip his shoulder through his jacket. I purposely let my warm breath blow across his ear. He clears his throat and softly thanks me. I brushes my hand on his shoulder as I go inside and finishes, "that will last as long as you are in the alley today. If you leave it will end."
I return to work and keep an eye on him for a little while, before I see him stand and go to the corner. Shadows consume him and he vanishes. I note that he looked thoughtful as he left. I continue to check people out till the end of my work day and then head home.
