The next morning Charlie showered and got dressed and headed down to breakfast. In the Great Hall he saw Friday and saw that today her hair was different, the top half was braided and pulled back into a half pony tail. Charlie could not figure out why he found her so interesting, so he just sat down next to her.
"Morning Friday," Charlie said.
"Hi Charlie," Friday said. "This is Artemis and Meliora."
   Friday motioned to the two girls next to her, the Artemis girl was white and blonde with blue eyes and was kind of stocky. Meliora was obviously of Indian decent, but had put blonde highlights in he hair.
"Weasley!" Cosmo said, reaching the table. "I thought we decided that we would wait till we made dorm rules before heading to breakfast."
"It's Sunday," Charlie said. "We have all day. Plus you decided that, I never agreed."
"You sound annoying," A black girl said, walking to the table.
"He is," Another girl said. This girl had brown hair and green eyes.
"Ella!" Cosmo said, to the brown haired girl. "I forgot to congradulate you on making Gryffindor."
"Come on Abby," Ella said, to the black girl and sat farther down the table.
"Ella and I grew up in the same town," Cosmo said, like he assumed people cared. "I was rather surprised when she also got a letter to Hogwarts."
"Just sounds like you just never hung out with her," Richard said, walking in with Soren and a girl with very curly dirty blonde hair. The girl sat across from Friday.
"Morning Anastasia," Friday said. The girl just nodded and yawned.
"Why do we need dorm rules?" Soren asked, sitting next to Anastasia and grabbing some bacon.
"Because it makes the dorm run smoothly," Cosmo said.
"Sounds more like you want to control us," Lincoln said. Charlie looked up to agree and realized that Lincoln had styled his blonde hair to be spikey.
"We do not need rules," Charlie said. "My brother Bill is a third year and his dorm does not have any specific ones."
"It's to help the muggle-borns!" Cosmo said. "It is our duty as purebloods to make sure they navigate this world well."
"I agree!" Seth said, walking in.
"Why do I feel like he should be in Slytherin," Meliora said.
"I heard the hat does make some mistakes," Artemis said.
"The hat does not make mistakes!" Cosmo said. "What are you doing?" He was looking at Friday.
   Charlie looked over and saw Friday cutting up a banana to put with a little waffle and made the shape of two turtles. He had to smile at her odd creativity.
"Breakfast turtles!" Friday said, as she grabbed some chocolate syrup to put on them. Then she looked at Charlie. "Can you charm food to move around?"
"Yes," Charlie said. "Though mother only does that to get Ginny and Ron to eat."
"It's how chocolate frogs work," Cosmo said. "Bloody muggle-borns. This is why we need the rules."
"Ginny and Ron?" Friday asked, ignoring Cosmo.
"My two youngest siblings," Charlie said.
"You are one of four?" Friday asked.
"Two of seven actually," Charlie said. Cosmo started to ramble, but Charlie didn't listen and made himself an egg and bacon sandwich.
"So it's Bill then you?" Friday asked.
"Then there is Percy," Charlie said. "After that there are the twins, Fred and George. Then there is Ron and Ginny."
"Lucky," Friday said "I'm an only child."
   Just then Professor McGonagall came to pass out their class schedules, luckily she also heard Cosmo talking. Then she reprimanded him and told him there are to be no special rules in the dorms. It was a very crammed schedule, Bill had warned him of this, but his brother's class size was smaller so some of the houses were paired up.
"A midnight class?" Richard asked.
"When else would you take Astronomy?" Cosmo asked.
"Why is it even important?" Finnian asked. "Is fortune telling that big of a deal?"
"That's Astrology," Friday said. "Astronomy is study of planets."
"Rogers you are so stupid," Cosmo said.
"Don't call people stupid," Charlie said, he really disliked this boy.
   Just then Tonks came into the room, and then proceed to trip and knock over Cosmo.
"Watch it!" Cosmo said, then he notice the uniform "Leave it to a Hufflepuff."
"Hey Tonks," Friday said.
"Charlie you never mentioned that your brother had a girlfriend," Tonk said, it was hard to tell if she was jealous.
"He does?" Charlie asked.
"He's out there snogging a 6th year," Tonks said.
   Just then Bill walked in with a much older girl, who had black hair and brown eyes. The other boys seemed to notice how hott this girl was, but Charlie did not care.
"Charlie!" Bill said. "This is Lola. Lola this my little brother Charlie."
"He's soo cute," Lola said, as she proceed to touch Charlie's hair. Charlie was uncomfortable.
"He will be twelve in December," Bill said. Charlie was confused as to why this mattered.
"I shall keep that in mind," Lola said, stroking Charlie's hair more. Chalie just moved his head. He was done eating and realized Friday was also done, and he really just wanted to leave.
"Friday do you wanna come see if the library has more dragon books with me," Charlie asked.
"Library?" Friday asked. "This place must have a huge one."
"Yes," Charlie said.
"Lets go!" Friday said excitedly.
   Charlie and Friday got up and headed out of the Great Hall, Charlie also made sure to avoid getting up too close to the Lola girl. The new friends headed up to the fourth floor, since it was Sunday neither were in their uniforms. Charlie was a pair of loose jeans and red tee-shirt, Friday was also in a pair of jeans, but hers were a tighter fit, and she as in a green shirt.
   They reached the huge library and were both in shock with the amount of books, they were also excited. They met two librarians that day, an Irma Pince who was very strict, the other one as Biblio Page, he was a bit more relaxed. Both of the librarians were shocked that any student would be in there today, and even more surprised that these two spent the whole morning looking at dragon books.
   On they way out they ran into Lincoln, Soren and Anastasia again, and Charlie saw them all better. Lincoln had blue eyes along with his spikey blonde hair and was dressed in green. Soren had black hair in a mushroom cut style and brown eyes, but he was very pale and white and was dressed in grey. Anastasia had pulled her hair back, it was very thick and she had brown eyes as well, and she was dressed in a blue and white dress.
"Charlie!" Lincoln said. "Friday! Were you two in the library all morning?"
"Yes," Charlie said.
"Did you see a cute older Ravenclaw in there?" Lincoln asked. Charlie looked at him oddly. "I saw her at breakfast. Long blonde hair and blue eyes. She looked like a princess."
"We only met the librarians in there," Friday said.
"Friday you missed it," Anastasia said. "Artemis put Cosmo in a headlock!" Charlie and Friday laughed.
"What did Cosmo do?" Charlie asked.
"He said something very mean to Meliora," Soren said, Charlie looked confused. "I will not repeat it."
"McGonagall came over to figure out what was going," Lincoln said. "And when she heard what he said..." The three shared a look. "She gave him dentention till Christmas."
"And she dragged him off to see Professor Dumbledore," Anastasia said. "It was that bad."
   Charlie and Friday were a little confused, but considering how McGonagall reacted they figure it was best not to know. Then the five of them headed to lunch together. Once they reached the Great Hall they sat with the other first years. Cosmo was not there though, and only Seth wondered where he was, apparently he had not seen or heard what happened.
"Ooo a sandwich bar," Friday said, then she proceed to make herself a very strange sandwhich.
   Charlie watched as she added mayonaise and a slice of Mozzerella, a slice of Colby Jack, a Slice of Provolone, then she six strips of bacon, three tomato slices, and lastly she added three slices of roast beef. Friday then sliced the sandwhich into four triangles. Everyone else made their own sandwiches, but none were as unique as Fridays.
"What's the plan for after lunch," Elias asked. "It's our first day and there is nothing to do."
"I was thinking about taking my schedule," Anastasia said. "And try to figure out where all the classes are. I'm worrying about being late or getting lost. I just don't want to go alone."
"I should do that too," Friday said. "I have been know to get lost. Mainly because I am not paying attention. But it would still be good."
"I'll go too," Finnian said. "This place it too big."
"It is better then getting lost," Richard said. "I will go too."
"Navigating the school," Soren said. "Im in."
"What about you Charlie?" Friday asked. Charlie was actually planning to go back to the library, but he wanted to hang out with Friday more.
"Sure," Charlie said, surprising himself.
   After the group was done eating they got into a little argument, some wanted to start from the Great Hall. The others thought they should start from the dorm room. Eventually they decided to both, and began navigating the school. At one point Professor McGonagall found them just wondering the halls, she was going to reprimand them, then she found out what they were actually up. She was so impressed that she each gave them five house points, it was an excited day.
   Later that in the common room, Bill was very proud of his little brother, and was telling all his friends about the house points. It was only the first full day and Gryffindor had 30 whole house points, no other house had any. Eventually they all headed to bed; Cosmo was pissed though, he had gotten detention, and now Charlie and others got house points. For some reason Cosmo Mynett took this personally.
