If there was one thing she could say about being completely immobile for the past week was that it gave her an incredible clarity of mind.
With only the beeping of the monitoring machines and the medical teams doing their routine rounds (she still posed as unconscious whenever they came into the room) as the only external stimuli for better part of a week, she quickly got bored. Surely anything was better than waiting for who-knows how long until she regained mobility.
While ruminating on the reasons why she ended up in the past, on a girl's body of all things sounded like the adequate response to her circumstances, a life of adventure and perils taught her that practicality was the way to go, so she ended up focusing on more immediate concerns.
She would have time for self-deprecation later.
Much to her delight, she still had magic. It caused a lot of discomfort at first but eventually she managed to cast a perfectly decent Lumos.
She didn't get the memo that her ability to use magic had been augmented in a rather excessive fashion, thus she almost blinded herself when her attempt at the first-year charm shone much, MUCH brighter than expected. Fortunately the sun-like sphere of light shone for a fraction of a second.
Magic being sentient and protecting her, even from herself and all that shebang (which was really fortunate since otherwise she would've probably gotten third-degree burns on any unexposed part of her body… which were her eyes. Not even Pomfrey would've been able to heal those kind of injuries...)
Tuning down her magic A LOT she continued testing the luminous charm. Eventually she got it down to the level expected for an average wizard, a surprisingly hard endeavor because of the extremely minuscule amount of magic she required.
From there one she experimented with something she hadn't seen before in her previous life: modifying it so the color of the light changed. It was a childish effect but it proved something deeply concerning about the Magical World, something she hadn't stopped to think about until she suddenly found herself with a week of (involuntary) relaxation and introspection.
So long as something worked, most magicals were content with leaving it as is, not bothering to innovate or change things until they specifically required it. After all who cared about the color of the light, a white light, a green light or a blue light illuminated the same, right?
Wrong on so many levels (she needed to read on physics and electromagnetic spectrum asap).
That tiny bit of spell modification felt extremely satisfying and was much more easy than she expected. It wouldn't be until much, much later than she would figure out that the reason why it came easy for her was the absolutely baffling amount of magic she could command, making something that would have usually taken a lot of complex arithmantic formulas and several tries under specific conditions a somewhat mundane task for her.
It would drive several of her acquaintances mad in the future.
Regardless, she continued experimenting for the better part of that week. Now knowing to tone down her spells to the absolutely minimum, she went on to try the first few years of transfiguration and charms from the Hogwarts curriculum. Some things came easy for her, some things were markedly more complicated but eventually she managed to complete them without much struggle, all things considered.
Just like with the Lumos, she tried modifying the spells a bit, pushing both her control and creativity to the extremes.
The day of her cast removal came with a pleasant surprise. Right after the procedure and her relocation to the long-term ward, she was visited by her (or at least her current incarnation's) relatives. She still feigned unconsciousness though, but the heartfelt words spoken by her paternal aunt were more than enough for her.
As someone that was deprived of family love once, the reassurance that she still had someone that cared for her was more valuable than a vault full of gold.
Perhaps the whole 'resuscitating' business was not such a bad deal after all.
One thing that came out from her semi-freedom was the astonishment the medical crew experienced at seeing the state of her body, though. Her improvement was nothing short of miraculous and, as far as they could see, there were no reasons for her to remain in a coma.
Unbeknownst to them, despite being freed from her hospital-y constrains, she still had no feeling at all on the rest of her body, her very own magic working overtime to redo the nerve connections that still had still had to be remade.
She was adamant not to officially 'wake up' at least until she regained feeling on her limbs.
Unable to continue practicing her magic due to the frequent visits of Aunt Bonnie, she focused on the only other thing she could safely practice even with people around her: Astral walking.
It was far easier than before for her to enter in a meditative trance and in a matter of minutes she felt as her very being separated from her physical body. Now she could finally see how she looked like!
'Hmm… Seeing yourself is weirdly disconcerting…' She thought.
Lying on the bed was a petite brunette, her wavy hair was long and looked well-cared, no doubt thanks to her magic. Her face still had some of the baby fat kids were known to have, as expected, she couldn't really say one way or another if she was going to grow up to be a beaut, the fault laying on her non-experience with children during her previous life, but she could say that she was cute.
Her gaze was particularly attracted towards her left shoulder, more precisely right where she thought her collarbone should be.
While she still had some scarring from the accident and subsequent operation to save her life, on that part of her body she could clearly see a particular scar. The shape of which she was intimately familiar with.
'Bugger me…' was all she could think of at that moment.
Not an exaggeration considering she was staring at the symbol of the Deathly Hallows.

She officially 'woke up' after another week, one day after she regained the feeling of her limbs.
Contrary to what she would've wanted, and perhaps much more realistically, her miraculous awakening from the 'coma' she had slipped onto garnered a LOT of attention.
She thanked her stars at not currently being in the magical world. She shuddered at thinking the Merlin forsaken title the magical populous would've given her otherwise. A lifetime of being the Boy-Who-Lived made her almost allergic towards any kind of hyphenated names/titles, and considering the average lack of common sense Magical Britain showed her in her previous life, something like the Girl-Who-Awoke wasn't too far fetched.
It did made a media circus, however; A grievously injured 7 years old had just became an orphan from a terrible car accident in which she was the only survivor, died several times during the operation and then slumbered into a coma from which she wasn't expected to wake up anytime soon, just defied every single expectation and woke up in less than two months.
That too with little to no scarring from the terrible events that she had been through.
It absolutely baffled the living socks out of most of the medical world. It was such an unimaginable event that she received a visit from princess Diana herself!
On a side note, Diana was an even much more wonderful a person in private than her public persona portrayed. (They would become closer in the following years, Eloise was determined to prevent her surrogate Aunt's future death by 'car accident').
Thankfully, all media-related issues were handled by her family clan.
The Mackenzies were wildly influential in Scotland, particularly in the Highlands. As it turns out she and her now deceased family were 'cousins' to one of the main branches of the family, the Mackenzie of Cromartie (from which the current Clan Chief originates); whilst they were separated by several degrees and could barely be called cousins, her father had spent many years of his childhood in the company of one John Ruaridh Gran Mackenzie, who was next in line to both the chieftainship of the clan and the Earldom of Cromartie.
The convoluted and otherwise whimsical familiar relations between her and the main family suddenly became extremely relevant for her future. Her 'Uncle' was extremely saddened by the news of her family's death, even though they had become distant with the passing of time, they (her father and uncle) still held each other as close friends/almost brothers (she could identify him in some of the memories that she managed to recover from her pre-accident years as the 'doting uncle' that gave her and her siblings Christmas gifts a couple of times), naturally he felt it was his responsibility, then, to look out for her well-being.
It resulted in her and her Aunt moving to Castle Leod a couple of weeks after her miraculous recovery.

Eloise was relishing and flourishing under the attention and care of her (now) expanded family.
A lifetime of being neglected and otherwise ignored by her small family must've filled her with so much positive Karma that, even with the death of her immediate family, she now had many more relatives than she knew what do do with.
The fact that none of them held any animosity towards her was both baffling and uplifting.
One big hurdle she had to overcome during her 'new life' was the fact that her emotional response towards her death family was muted at best.
She had regained some of the memories from her life as Eloise only, that however couldn't translate to feelings or emotions. She was fully cognizant that her family, mother, father and siblings loved her and while she was happy and even giddy of that fact, she couldn't bring herself to feel truly saddened by their passing.
She was somewhat sad by the fact that in two lives now she had to grow up without parents, though… And that was it.
A lifetime of living without any parental love (or care) beyond what brief stories she was told by family friends and people to knew her parents didn't left her with much to work with on that regard. That her previous self managed to live up to his 40s and had already made peace with his terrible childhood/teenage years didn't help much either.
Thankfully, everyone else in the clan attributed her reaction (or lack of) to the shock and psychological trauma associated to the accident. It did mean, however, that she would be 'forced' to go to sessions with a psychologist for the foreseeable future.
Another obstacle for her was the fact that she now had to act her age.
Her past life was not a good example of what a 'normal' childhood should look like (thankfully she was fully cognizant of it), that and the accumulated memories of a forty-something (amazing) wizard, used to adventures and life-or-death situations on a weekly basis combined to the absolute train-wreck that was her acting skills turned that task from difficult and annoying to borderline impossible.
She had to think on something fast before it became too obvious that she was NOT acting as a normal 7 years old should.
As if the universe itself felt her distress at her own situation, a series of events happened that gave her the chance she desperately needed.
Firstly, Princess Diana decided to pay an impromptu visit to the Mackenzie Clan at Castle Leod, bringing her sons with her.
She was concerned with Eloise's recovery and wanted to see for herself how she was faring. The uniqueness of the situation was somewhat explained considering the fact that Eloise was kind of a Scottish celebrity thanks to her unthinkable survival, so beyond some initial disbelief coming from her family, Diana's friendly demeanor and down-to-earth attitude (plus the cuteness bonus provided by a pair of Royal children) soon ingratiated her to the rest of the Clan.
Secondly was the fact that even though Diana wanted to make her unofficial visit alone with her two sons, protocol dictated that she had to be accompanied by a suitable amount of people to look out for her safety.
The life of the Royal family couldn't just be jeopardized on a whim.
Fortunately for her, and ultimately, for Eloise, she managed to get an extremely reduced security detail.
The reason?
It wasn't because they were made of the fiercest, most combat-savvy security experts available to the crown.
No, the trio of them, two men who looked to be in their 40s and a woman in her 30s were part of a special group, a group made up entirely of dissatisfied magicals that found themselves working directly for the Crown. No intermediaries, no oversight (heavily worded magical contracts and oaths designed to leave no loopholes to abuse ensured that even the most drastic actions they took fell under the 'absolutely necessary' umbrella), some of the best medical care and retirement plans available and an extremely accommodating schedule made them some of the happiest employees in the whole United Kingdom.
(Only the liaison to the Veela Enclaves could brag about having a more satisfying job… if he was careful enough not to anger them, that is).
Trained by current and retired SAS members (all previously informed of the 'nature' of the task-force), they were capable to adapt to most situations in short notice.
Another perk of said training was that, unlike most of the magical population, they didn't stick as a sore thumb in mundane environments.
Contrary to what one would expect their membership wasn't composed solely of 'muggle-born' or 'half-blood', they had a nice number of pure-bloods on their ranks, mostly those that were regaled to a second place inside their families or were skipped over when looking for a job or a promotion at the Ministry (unsurprisingly, pure-blood doctrine and camaraderie meant shite when another, much richer, pure-blood threw money around to get whatever they wanted).
While it took a bit to de-indoctrinate some of them from their blood-status way of thinking, at the end of the grueling training (nothing changes one's mind about the mundanes' capabilities faster than a quick peek at their military prowess) they became a cohesive, extremely efficient unit.
It was a win-win situation. The magicals got a chance at a high-paying, high-benefit, high-risk job, enjoying the comforts of modern life and technology and the camaraderie of like-minded individuals (those with more patriotic mentalities could also be proud at knowing they were working for the betterment of their mother-land, both mundane and magical sides of it). The Crown got an in at the magical side of their territory, their politics, their education and even a small but steady supply of both potions and enchanted items that made the lives and jobs of everyone involved so much easier.
As a side note, a bunch of homeless house-elves found themselves employed by the Crown, saving them from a gruesome death-by-inaction by doing the kind of cleaning jobs no-one was willing or capable of taking, (and if the government found itself with a nice donation from some of the of big-shots in the USSR following the Chernobyl disaster, which was contained much more quickly than initially projected for no apparent reason, well… no one was going to look too deeply into that).
(House-elves were immune to radiation, who would've thunk?)
Thirdly, whilst Princess Diana and her detail were being given a tour of the Castle itself, her oldest son did as children were wont to do and got lost in one of the many hallways of the building, coincidentally near Eloise's room.
Being absolute pants at comforting children on her own, Eloise did the only thing she figured out could distract a prepubescent prince (not that she had any idea who he was at that moment, maybe one of her cousins she hadn't yet met?).
Figuring out she could always Obliviate the incident out of the almost-crying mess in front of her, she started an impromptu magic-show filled with floating balls of light, animated teddy-bears and an incredibly accurate depiction of the Battle of Agincourt made entirely with common items found in her room: soldiers made out of string, sewing needles used as arrows and even a bunch of compelled mice acting as cavalry, a bunch of clothes making the terrain of the battle.
She narrated as string soldiers clashed against each other, she explained the failed French cavalry-charge against the bowmen (no mice were hurt during the depiction), she reasoned the motives behind King Henry's execution of the French prisoners and the eventual retreat of the French forces, much to the young prince's elation.
It wasn't until she was relating Henry's successful return to London that she realized there were quite a few more spectators to her whole 'show' than originally planned.
Caught with her metaphorical hands in the imaginary cookie-jar, Eloise stood still as the two members of the security-detail were shocked mute at the blatant display of absolutely controlled and somewhat complex magic they just witnessed. All coming at the hands of a 7 years old.
A 7 years old that just recently became a local celebrity after miraculously surviving and recovering from a horrifying accident.
A 7 years old that they knew was the true reason behind their protectee's visit to the Mackenzie castle.
Young William was completely oblivious to the whole drama unfolding between the two parties, him completely forgetting that just a couple of minutes ago he had been lost inside the ancient castle. He was cheering the string-knights and was even asking Eloise for a repeat performance, too delighted by her narration and the adventure-filled depiction of the historical battle that the unnaturalness of the whole situation completely flew over his head.
It was only when the rest of the visiting party arrived arrived at the room, teddy-bears still animated and doing complex pirouettes with light orbs still floating around the room on the background, that they broke out of their stupor.
The cat was so out of the bag that it might as well have taken a flight to Australia.
Whilst the remaining magic spectacle was enough to amaze the recently-arrived, it held nothing to the reaction that the story the two magical agents told them happened just minutes earlier garnered.
Eloise quickly found out that the Princess wasn't the only one in the know with regards of the magical world. In fact, from the Mackenzies only her Aunt (and surrogate mother) was the only one present that was not informed of it.
Minutes of explanation later and Eloise wondered if the Statute of Secrecy ever had a chance at all. Apparently all major families all over the world knew (whether by necessity or by coincidence) of the existence of Magic.
That list also included the top echelons of some of the biggest companies (with sufficient enough networking it was impossible, after all, to remain ignorant of a 'secret' society that numbered in the millions).
She knew that things would only get direr for those in favor of seclusion with the advancement of technology.
It was apparently just pure luck that, in her past life, the Magical world managed to remain isolated for so long. It certainly looked like that wouldn't be the case this time around.
Integration of the two societies was now not only something desired but something that would become necessary in the coming years. She had no doubts that there were people who had already reached the same conclusion.
Suddenly, stopping Voldemort before he could actually start another war stopped being her first priority. The revelation of the magical world, if handled incorrectly, could lead to a global war the likes of which no one had ever seen before.
Thankfully, and knowing that she could count with the government's help, she had plenty of time to figure things out before they spiraled out of control.
She then had to think on her toes when questioned about her uncanny proficiency with magic, however. It wasn't everyday that you could catch a pre-Hogwarts child doing and sustaining complex animations with little effort.
She spun a story of how she noticed that 'things' happened around her when she was emotional enough or when she strongly wanted something. She explained how she tried to recreated the feeling of those events (one of the agents helpfully identified them as accidental magic), figuring out that things happened if she focused enough.
From then she practiced daily, whenever she was alone, until it became as easy as breathing.
She was asked if she knew about any spells, one agent demonstrated by intoning Lumos and lighting his wand, her response was a cute tilt of her head and the best confused expression she could manage.
That prompted more minutes of explanations in regards to the education wizard-kind received at Hogwarts (the only magical school in Britain), including silent casting, gesture-less casting and what they little knew about wandless magic. Most of the mundanes in attendance found themselves shaking their heads in disapproval with what they were hearing.
Apparently, no one had ever bothered to find a connection between wandless and accidental magic. As far as the magical community was concerned, any kind of meaningful wandless magic was a myth spoken in legends, something so impossible to achieve the few who did were always spoken of in reverence.
That wizards were capable of Apparating without a wand or that Animagi were known to keep their ability to switch without one never crossed the minds of the common British wizard.
It always struck odd for those few parents of muggle-born who sat down to think about the matter. How can a child cause a magical reaction seemingly at random just to be told later, after years of 'schooling', that attempting to do the exact same thing was just not possible.
Anyways, with the knowledge that not only were some of her clan knowledgeable of the magical world but also were pretty accepting of it AND also the revelation of the magical division employed by the Crown itself, Eloise began to think on ways she could use it to her advantage to, hopefully, stop pretending being just a prepubescent girl.
As if the Universe was still indebted to her, destiny and fate itself decided to throw her another bone.
"Oh… That explains it!" The only female from the magical task-force exclaimed, bringing her fist on her palm in understanding.
Seeing that she had caught everyone's attention, she explained further.
"You were telling us how her responses to the whole… event" she whispered the word, not really wanting to bring forth bad memories "were a bit… muted, right?" seeing as Eloise's family nodded she continued "Well, there's a branch of magical studies that delve into the mind, namely Legilimency and Occlumency…"
Her fellow agents raised their eyebrows in surprise but quickly understood where she was heading to, nodding in comprehension.
"Legilimency is most known as the art of 'delving into another's mind and subconscious', it usually requires an actual spell to do so, but someone sufficiently proficient with it could do a much less powerful version of it with mere eye-to-eye contact.
Now, I know it sounds like mind-reading but it's a bit more complicated than that… Other than freshly acquired memories or thoughts, a Legilimens would need a considerable amount of time to 'navigate', for a lack of a better term, a different mind… And there's a plethora of issues attached to it that makes it almost impractical to use for on-the-go information-gathering purposes...
Occlumency, on the other hand, is sometimes thought of as the opposite of Legilimency, a field of magic specialized on protecting one's mind against external influences and breaching attempts.
In reality it's much more complicated than that.
Through Occlumency, one can have an incredible control of their own mind, it not only helps with memory, it also allows one to… 'leash' both feelings and thoughts… An Occlumens has the ability to deaden their emotional reactions to any and all situations by, and this is an extremely simplified comparison, 'cocooning' a given memory, allowing only the event itself out while keeping all the feelings and/or emotions stored until they decide to deal with them."
"But…" Eloise's aunt started "Doesn't… Occlumency was it?" she received a nod "Right, doesn't Occlumency requires practice? Or at least some kind of teaching to know what to do?"
John Mackenzie, the next head of family nodded at that "While I am aware of those disciplines and in fact some of our family have experience with both, none of those who are proficient enough to teach it have visited the castle in the time Eloise has been here… Considering we just found out she's magical, I very much doubt she had found a teacher elsewhere…" he finished with a frown on his face.
"Its true that both disciplines traditionally require a teacher, since there are barely any books written on the subject and even those few are restricted by the Ministry…" One of the male agents took the opportunity to speak "However, there have been accounts of people developing an affinity for Occlumency after a particularly traumatic episode… Mind you, those are few and far in between, there's less than a hundred reported cases that I know of currently."
Eloise couldn't believe her ears. She was struggling to find out a reasonable excuse for her 'abnormal' behavior and suddenly a bunch of Crown-endorsed magical agents came with their own reasoning… And looking at everyone else faces, they were buying it up!
"I think that magic reacted to her emotional distress and started doing whatever it could to protect her mind… That would also explain why she took so little time to get out of the coma. Considering the magical show we just witnessed, it's even possible that she did it all on her own, subconsciously…"
"You speak as if magic was sentient…" Princess Diana remarked, frankly intrigued at that notion.
"It's well known that magic can act on its own… There are several constructs around the world that are classified as 'sentient', as an example, the only magical school in Britain, Hogwarts, has long since been thought of as being alive.
A good rule of thumb is that older constructs and those that have been exposed to a great amount of magic have a good chance of becoming sentient."
They all took a moment to digest that evening's revelations. It was quite frankly too much in too little time for anyone to reasonably process.
The Mackenzies present just discovered that sweet Eloise was a witch, an incredibly talented one, apparently, and someone that has subconsciously repressed the feelings and emotions attached to the car crash that took the lives of her closest family and that she barely survived.
Her Aunt thanked the starts at the fact that she was a witch, obvious now that the reason she still had a niece was because of Eloise's magic. The impact of the whole 'magic is real' revelation quickly fading from her mind all things considered.
Princess Diana was even more determined to generate a rapport with Eloise. She knew the girl was special, dammit! And that was without taking into consideration the awe-struck expression on her eldest son.
The magical agents, however, were thinking on the shocking revelations that day brought to them. Things went from 'just a routine escort mission' to 'earth-shattering news that could potentially bring down society as we know it' kind of scenario.
It would bring A LOT of attention to young Eloise should the news about her magical abilities reached the light of day. None of them were naive enough to think it would be the right kind of attention either.
Magic was a touchy subject for most of the British magical population. Old Houses prided themselves in being capable of tracing back their magical ancestry by centuries. They were so proud of it, in fact, that they believed it translated directly into magical prowess.
To suddenly have a muggle-born child performing feats of magic not even a 6th year Hogwarts could easily replicate would threaten the so called 'blood superiority' of theirs.
It was never a good idea to hit someone in their pride, not unless you wanted to make everlasting enemies. Worse still when those whose pride would be hit were the ones that made and enforced the law in their society.
The agents quickly reached that conclusion, informing the gathered of their thinking.
They all agreed to keep mum of Eloise's full abilities (that they knew of). Knowing full well the repercussions should it get out in the open before she was ready, they reluctantly consented to a magically-binding contract that would ensure the secrecy of it in the magical world. Since they were Eloise's abilities, she was not bound to it, giving her the faculty to let anyone she deemed trustworthy enough in the secret, though.
Given the fact that Hogwarts was the only school for magicals on the isles and, regrettably, it only accepted students once they reached 11 years of age (and relocating to let her attend another school was considered as a last-ditch option), the Princess and the agents convinced Eloise's family to meet with the Queen (in her capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Army and, thus, the Magical Task-force). With the crown resources, Eloise's potential could be fully harnessed, they argued, there was no reason to wait another 4 years for her to begin her formal magical education.
(And if she got to learn something extra in the meanwhile, it was a win-win situation for everyone).
While the adults present were all discussing and otherwise planning her immediate future, Eloise was thinking on an entirely different thing.
Now that she had a reasonable excuse for practicing magic and being on such a big and important family in the mundane world AND with the windfall that meant being in close contact with Royalty, there were a couple of 'issues' she had to resolve before things went bad.
First of her concerns were the integration of magical and mundane communities, arguably the hardest of all the tasks the set out to do and the one that would take her the longest. It wasn't just telling the mundanes that magic existed, no, it was fighting against centuries of indoctrination, entitlement and fear.
Next was the whole deal with Tom. Yes, he might be a dangerous psychopath but she still had seven or so years before he fully came back and the war started. Plenty of time to deal with the soul-pieces and thinning his power base, first she wanted to be sure said soul-pieces were: a)The same as when she was still Harry and b)Still hidden in the same locations.
(By that point in time, Eloise was pretty sure she was on a reality different from the one she lived through as Harry, there slight differences between them that convinced her of that).
She also had to find a way to get rid of the one in Harry's head.
Which brought her to a completely different-but-relevant matter. Supposing there was a prophecy as in her time as Harry, one that said that Harry was the one to vanquish Ol' Tommy, could she still take the place of the boy-who-lived or was she now completely free from fate's design?
Food for later thoughts.
Anyway, next in the priority list (but actually rivaling getting rid of Voldie), what to do with certain Azkaban inmates.
She had to get her facts straight before attempting to free Sirius. As much as she loved the old dog in her previous life, she was most certainly NOT his current godchild nor was she 100% sure he didn't commit any crime, e.g. betraying the Potters.
In fact, she didn't even know if he was currently alive.
She would find a way to figure it out later.
There was another inmate that could be in need of assistance, though.
From what she found out later in her previous life, marriage contracts in the magical world were disgusting and insidious pieces of magic that could, under the right circumstances, grant one full control over another one's body, mind and spirit.
Thankfully they were banned by pretty much every ICW country around the 19th century.
Unfortunately, the Black Family had no fucks left to give concerning the wider magical population. As long as it meant them acquiring more power, they were willing to skim over any and all laws and morals.
In a way Andromeda and Narcissa were lucky to the nth degree. In spite of being banished from her family, Andy managed to find love while despite being 'trapped' in an arranged marriage, Cissy found herself in a loving relationship.
The same couldn't be said about Bellatrix.
Ever the rebel, she fought hard and for many years against the magic of her contract, she fought until the pain was simply too much, the compulsions too strong, her will too broken.
What was left was a husk that could barely be compared to the surprisingly cheerful-but-still-fiery-tempered Bellatrix Black.
Fortunately for everyone, Eloise had the knowledge required to reverse most of the damage caused by such an aegis.
She was only missing one little piece that, if the realities were similar enough, she knew exactly where to find.
She had the time, the determination and the means to change and fix things up this time around.
The Magical World will never know what hit them until it became too late to stop her.
The adults watched in deadpan as young Eloise began cackling up like a maniac. That young Prince William joined her soon after only added to the ridiculousness of the situation.
No one noticed as the weather turned decidedly thunderstorm-y for a brief moment.
