Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Author Notes: Okay kiddies—here it is. And the groom is... Well, read it and find out, and don't cheat and scroll to the bottom and read the last two words!!! Tempting isn't it!!! Well, anyhoo I know I said that this is going to be a lemon. It is, but I have to set it up first. Heck, maybe even give it a plot!! But don't expect any heavy breathing for at least one more chapter.
I Do, Part II

Hermione couldn't believe that her soon-to-be-husband was standing in front of her. They were to be wed in least than an hour. He knew perfectly well that that would not happen if someone caught him here, in her dressing room. She had to put an end to this, and fast. "Yes, I want you to leave. In fact, I don't want to see your face again for at least an half an hour." She knew that these words hurt him to the core. The look on his face told her as much. But saying them hurt her more then him. She wanted nothing more than to press her lips to his, roam his lean body with her hands, learning every curve every flat plain. She began to feel a certain feeling in her stomach, right behind her navel. She had to stop this line of thoughts before she decided to "screw" this whole wedding thing and make this thoughts reality.
Removing his hands from her shoulders he took a step back from her. "If that's what you want, than I'll leave," he replied. He walked soberly to the door. Not wanting him to leave with that sad look on his face she raced, well walked as fast as she could in her dress to the door. Even with her dress, she beat him there. Putting her hand on the door she barred his passage with her arm.
"Wait!" I didn't mean to be mean. Trust me, I want nothing more than for you to stay. But you can't. I'm going to be very unhappy if I walk out of this church not married. Like I said before, I'm only going to wear this dress once." His eyes strayed downward over her dress and stopped at her bust line. Men, so easily distracted. Lifting his hand by the chin to make his eyes meet her once again she continued, "But if you screw it up by getting caught where you don't belong, than I'm not going to marry you at all. Do you understand?" He nodded his head in agreement.
With that she reached behind his head for the hood of the invisibility cloak and pulled it up halfway. She smiled up at him before placing a tender, almost chastely kiss on his right cheek. Pulling the hood up all the way. She turned and opened the door. She made sure that the hallway was clear before shooing him out of the room to his own dressing chambers.

Standing outside the church hall's double entrance doors Hermione was nervous. Very nervous, the "I-think-I-might-puke-after-I-fall-over-nervous". She knew that she didn't have anything to be nervous about. Everything was planned, right down to her steps. Right-together-left-together-right-together, the same all the way down the aisle. All sorts of horrible thoughts were racing around her head.
If sensing her panic her father placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. This simple act went along way to comfort her. She could do this. Nothing bad or horrible would happen. In fact, bring it on! This moment of confidence was dashed the moment the wedding march started to be played. All of the pervious insecurities came flooding back. As the double doors opened she took a deep breath to calm her nerves and to focus on her steps.
All eyes were on her as she moved down the aisle. However this fact didn't register. To her there were only two people in the hall, herself and her husband-to-be. He was standing tall at the front of the hall. His hands drawn in front of him, clasped in an almost death grip. After what seemed like an eternity but only a few minutes she was standing in front of her bridegroom waiting for her father to hand her over.
When the priest asked who was giving this bride's hand in marriage her father said that it was he. Before placing her hand into the awaiting groom's he leaned closer to him and whispered something into her ear. If judging by the reaction on his face along, it wasn't good. Greg Granger pulled back and placed his daughter's hand in the grooms then turned around and sat next to the weeping Helen Granger.
Now hand in hand they turned and faced the priest.
"We are gather here today to witness the joining of these two souls in the eyes of God. Two souls that have fought side by side to conquer demons and evil this world processes." The priest probably hasn't spoken truer words. Hermione thought to herself. If only he knew about Voldemort. A truly evil demon that was defeated only two years ago by Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix. Is musing by the bride a good thing during the wedding ceremony? Hermione asked herself. Probably not. She pulled her thoughts back to the present. "If anyone has just cause why these two souls should not be joined in holy matrimony than speak now or forever hold your peace," he paused for a moment of eerie silence that seemed to stretch on forever.
Satisfied that there was no opposition the priest continued. Speaking first to Hermione, "Do you take this man to be you lawfully wedded husband, though sickness and health, for richer or poorer, till death do you part?"
"I do," she answered quickly. Tears welling up in her eyes.
The priest than turned his attention to the groom, "Do you take this women to be you lawfully wedded wife, though sickness and health, for richer or poorer, till death do you part?"
"I do," he replied with an almost silly grin.
The exchange of the rings came next. Hermione held off the tears that had been threatening though out the ceremony until the cool, golden band was slipped onto her finger. With tears running down her face she slipped the matching band onto her husband's finger.
The priest than instructed them to turn around and face the family and friends gathered.
"By the power vested in me by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I now present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Remus Lupin."
