It was Thanksgiving Day and for Riley's family it was a big deal so Dumbledore decided to have a Hogwarts first ever Thanksgiving with the school. Not many know about the day only in the U.S. so before dinner Dumbledore gave them a small history lesson about how the pilgrams when over to the U.S. to start in a new land. During their settlement they had a few little tiffs with the Native Americans but they soon put aside their differences and sat down to their first meal together. To this day that day has been marked as the First Thanksgiving and has been a traidtion since then. Some of the students still didn't quite understand why they were having this but it was something new and different.

Earlier today Riley was in the kitchen helping the house elves with the massive fest and she was laughing and having a good time with them. She taught them how to cook the turkey just right, how to make stuffing, pumpkin pie, mashed potatos and gravy and the ham. Dobby was really excited to have Riley in the kitchen and told her that she's more than welcome to come anytime if she wanted to cook a meal.

Now they were on in the Great Hall along with the house elves that cooked Riley inisited that they join them. Riley and her family were sitting at the Gryffindor table smiling and thankful to be together again. After Dumbledore's speech the food appeared and there were gasps all around. Riley and the house elves smiled at each other and they began to dig in.

The night went on with eating, chatting, laughs and good times. It was around nine that night and Riley's mom said good night to put the little ones to bed and Riley gave them each a hug and a kiss good night Remus accompiend her family to their dorms. Kelsey came up to Riley and whipsered in her ear and she nodded and stood up and walked outside with him and the rest of her band.

They walked down to the lake and they all lit up a ciggerete. "So what's happening now?" Ryan asked.

"I don't know now that my father is locked up I guess we will see what happens," she said just as Harry, Ron, Draco, and Hermione joined them.

"So you never did tell me what happened with your mom and Remus," Hermione said standing next to Riley taking her hand.

"My mom went here along with Remus and Sirius and Harry's parents. They hit it off since the first day and they were together for the seven years but didn't start dating til about their fifth year. After they graduated my mom's parents got word of Remus being a werewolf and took her away in the middle of the night and they never saw each other again until now," she explained. "I always knew something was missing with my mom but I didn't know it until now her marriage to my father was an arranged marriage between her parents and his. She always said the greatest gifts he ever gave her is her children and that even though we came from a man she didn't love she loves us regardless," she finished explaining.

The smokers put out their ciggerettes and the gang walked back up to the castle and said their good nights. Draco, Riley and Hermione walked into their common room and said good night. Riley and Hermione went to their room and started to get ready for bed when there was a knock on their door. Riley answered it and it was Remus, "Might I have a word?" he asked and Riley nodded and followed him out to the common room and they both sat down.

"I suppose you know about me and your mother," he started and Riley nodded.

"I know that we haven't seen each other in years but know that you are the oldest and that you are the one that's been taking care of her and the little ones I figured it was only right to ask you,"

"What are you getting at Mr. Lupin?" she asked already knowing the question.

"Well I've loved your mother from the start and I still love her and she's the only woman I can see myself spending the rest of my life with. That night of our graduation I was going to ask her to marry me but she left without so much of a goodbye and now seeing her I know it's a sign. What I'm trying to get at is with your blessing can I marry your mother?" Remus asked.

Riley looked at him and she couldn't believe that this man that she doesn't even know wanted to marry her mom she wanted to smile because she knows he's a good man but after seeing the pain her mom went their she doesn't want that again.

"I know you're a good man from what the others tell me but after what I saw my mom go through growing up I can't see her with anyone else. I don't think you should marry her right now but at least get to know each other over again and then you can marry her," she said, "You do have my blessing but get to know each other once more," she told him.

Remus smiled and nodded, "I understand and don't worry your father is never going to get out this time,"

Riley nodded and stood up, "I will hold you to that," she said and without another word she walked straight to her bedroom and closed the door. Hermione waiting for her in bed and she climbed in and wrapped her arms around her.

"Have you decided if you're staying or going for the Christmas break?" Riley asked.

Hermione sighed and shook her head, "No I haven't part of me wants to stay and they other part wants me to go. My parents keep talking about Aspen but I just don't know," she said.

Riley nodded, "It's up to you I'm not gonna ask you to stay or to go this is your choice," she said softly and Hermione nodded.

They both fell asleep after talking more and woke up to their alarm going off, Riley turned it off and got up and started to get ready for training. Even though it was over the training continued no matter what because they didn't know what was going to happen in the future. Hermione slowly got up and got ready and they both walked out of their room and saw Draco tired and ready to go, "I still can't believe we're up before the sun is up," Draco said with a yawn. Riley smiled, "You'll get used to it trust me," she said as a tired Hermione leaned against her.

They met up with everyone else who looked tired except Riley and her friends who looked wide awake. Dumbledore and Snape came up to them, "Good morning thought we would start with a morning run around the lake," Dumbledore said with a smile and they all followed him outside, "Now just start off with a light job and then once your reach the tree go off in a dead sprint back up to the castle," he instructed. Riley and her boys started and the rest groaned and followed.

"Riley is ready she just doesn't know it yet," Snape said.

"I know but she has to know she's ready before she can use her powers," Dumbledore said. They both knew that she is the secret weapon for any darkness that will come their way but she didn't know that. The private sessions the two can tell that she's getting stronger and stronger by the day. It's just a matter of time before she knows that she is the one that can break down any dark wizard. Harry was the first male wizard to ever live through the killing curse and Riley doesn't know that she's the first female to live through the killing curse. She doesn't know much of her past because Dumbledore blocked it but soon Riley will realize just how powerful she really is.
