“Do you think she’s pregnant?” Ginny asked her mother as they hurriedly worked on some last minute wedding preparations.
“No, Ginny” She said “At least…I hope not. That’s no way to bring a child in to the world. Have you not talked to her at all?”
“No” Ginny said “I had a few appointments leading up to when I found out and on top of that with Sirius back Harry didn’t want me to go to the castle”
“I’ve only spoken to Tonks” Molly said “She spent a few night here, you know she’s sick, right?”
“I do” Ginny said “Why was she here?”
“Well that’s a whole new can of worms…how do you not know?” Molly looked at her daughter in shock “Last year apparently Remus and Hermione had sex after a drunken night”
“And Snape is still going to marry her?!” Ginny exclaimed “Oh my goodness. He must love her. Wait…mum…don’t tell Harry, he may freak out like he did with Sirius and he needs at least one adult male to turn to”
“I won’t” Molly promised “Anyway, Sirius was trying to convince Hermione to leave Snape and runaway with him. Tonks told her not to do it, they had a fight over people telling Hermione what to do with her life and then Tonks told her that she had done some sexual thing with Severus a few years ago…”
“What a bitch!” Ginny defended her friend.
“Yes” Molly frowned at her language “Well anyway, Hermione told Tonks that she slept with Remus just last year and things really heated up. Remus and Tonks had a fight and she came her to escape the fighting”
“And through all this Snape and Hermione what?” Ginny said “Decided that it would be an amazing idea to get married?”
“Apparently” Molly said as she looked at the stuff she had finished for the wedding “Anyway the wedding is coming up!”

Severus was pacing his private sitting room alone. It was only four more days until he was to get married and he was now wishing he hadn’t agreed to this. He wanted to marry her but…he was terrified about what it meant. Like any other male in the world with blood running through his veins he couldn’t wait for the wedding night, he wasn’t even worried about the actual wedding. It was after that bothered him, after the wedding night, after the honeymoon, when they were back and real life had to start up again. He looked at the door when Remus walked in and looked at him with a small smile and a giggling Teddy in his arms.
“How are you holding up?” Severus asked the werewolf.
“I’ve been better” Remus answered “But you want to hear the screwed up thing?”
“What?” Severus asked confused.
“I’ve been better” Remus repeated “But I’ve been worse. My wife leaving me doesn’t bother me as much as it did before…what does that mean?”
“I think it means you’re tired” Severus said “If it makes you feel better I think I’ve figured out what’s wrong with her”
“What?” He asked.
“It is the Lycanthropy” He answered “Not changing her, but its weakened her greatly but the good thing about that is if I give her strengthening potion along with a mild Wolfsbane potion I’m pretty sure she’ll be fine”
“What’s the Wolfsbane going to do?” He asked.
“You get tired when the moons coming up, right?” He asked and the other man nodded “That’s what happening to her, constant fatigue so the Strengthening potion will do just what it supposed to do and the Wolfsbane will help with the Lycanthropy that is attacking her cells. Quick and easy fix, she’ll have to take the potions once a month to make sure that she is indeed okay”
“She’ll be happy to know that” Remus said “Thank you”
“Go talk to her” Severus said “I have a certain Mutt that needs to be taken care of before my wedding”
“Are you…going to hurt him?” Remus asked.
“Does it matter?” Severus asked as he signed his name to something “Take this to Tonks, it explains about the sickness along with what will have to be done to keep her safe”
“What about the potions?” He asked.
“She’s going to have to come and get it herself” Severus said with a smirk “Now, go. Make up with your wife while I go kill your best friend for attempting to woo my fiancée”
Remus was iffy about letting Severus talk to Sirius but another part, the part of him that was still angry about Sirius trying to steal his own wife let him go. That way, maybe Severus would be able to give him the punch that Remus had been unable to and that would make him feel better. So he went to the Burrow and left Severus alone to do what it was he needed to do. Snape took a deep breath and made his out of the dungeons and to the sleeping quarters that held the mutt that he wanted nothing more than to kill. He knocked and the door swung open and Black stood there in an under shirt and sleeper pants.
“What do you want, Snape?” Sirius hissed, he had considered himself pretty lucky. He had been staying at the castle for the past three days and while he’d seen Hermione the first day, he’d not seen her since and he hadn’t seen Snape either…until now.
“We need to talk” Severus said pushing his way in to his rooms.
“What could you possibly have to say that I will care to hear, Snivellous?” Sirius sneered at him.
“That insult is tired and overused” Severus told him “I hoped you would have come up with a new one” He shook his head “But that is not why I am here. Hermione and I are going to be married…”
“Not if I convince her to be with me” Sirius snapped angrily “And I am so close to having her choose me”
“I heard that conversation” Severus said calmly “And you know what happened after you walked away?” Sirius glared “I told her that if she wanted to be with you I would not stop her from leaving”
“Why?” Sirius asked suddenly suspicious.
“I have fallen in love with her” Severus said “Honestly. It’s different than with Lily, I can admit that now, but I love her enough to let her go and be happy with someone else if she’s not happy with me”
“What did she say?” Sirius asked with a cocky smirk.
“She wanted to move our wedding date up to this Saturday” Severus answered and felt a moment of pure delight when he saw the other man’s face fall “She has chosen me”
“So you came to gloat” Sirius guessed “Well, congratulations on finally winning the girl”
“She adores you” Severus said suddenly “You’ve been in her life since she was thirteen and you guys have gotten close…”
“Yes…we have” He sneered.
“I know about that” Severus said calmly, mentally clapping himself on the back for keeping his cool this long “She wants you in her life which means that I am going to have to see you. I would like to extend the hand…well, not of friendship but at least a truce”
“Fine” Sirius said raising an eyebrow “Truce. I won’t bother you if you don’t bother me. I’m probably going to be leaving soon anyway so that will be easy for you”
“Do what you have to” Severus said shaking his hand as their eyes burned in to the others “Just one thing”
“And what’s that?” Sirius asked, Severus suddenly pulled him closer so his face was a mere inch from his own.
“Touch Hermione again” He said “Or try to get her to runaway with you again…and I promise, they will never find your body…not in one piece, at least” There was twitch of Snape’s lips which could be seen as an actual smile before he started to walk away towards the door “Oh and Black” He tossed down the envelope be picked up off the floor, under a table and was dated a day or so back “Good luck”
Sirius looked at the envelope after Snape had left and opened it. He hissed at the paper and sat down looking at it, he tilted his head to one side and looked over the letter and then the list before him with a strange smile. He had been running from what, he didn’t really know, but something about the situation he found himself in now felt…good, like maybe this was supposed to happen. He looked at the letter again and took a deep breath before leaning back and wondering, could he actually be a husband and someday someone’s father?

I would like to inform you that due to the war that happened two years ago there has been a horrible decrease in magical families. Therefore, the Ministry has decided to enact an old marriage law that was previously gotten rid of. This is only in place until out numbers swell enough the end it again, we have fixed the spell placed on all the candidates so they will only be placed with matches that complete them somehow. As you are only 39 years old you are still eligible to be married and to start a family, so below is a list of eligible females that complete you mentally, emotionally, physically and sexually. A/N: Short chapter. But to the point. Sickness wasn’t too bad and Snape found the cure as we knew he would. I may explain it a bit more in the next chapter but then again that’s probably going to be the wedding chapter. But more or less the Lycanthropy attacks her good cells and while it does not change her in to a werewolf it greatly weakens her immune system. Breaks that down, then starts to break down everything until there is internal shut down of her organs and she slowly dies. The strengthening potion will make her muscles, nerves, blood cells and everything else strong enough (he made it a little stronger) to fight off the Lycanthropy cells. The Wolfsbane potion weakens the Lycan cells which will make them easier to be beat with the strengthening potions by a normal persons immune system…..sounds like he may also be on the right road for a cure to Lycanthropy, hmm?
