Finally We Meet

Goku and Karcdob appeared in Bardock’s room on top of the Saiyan’s bed “Oops!” yelped Goku and he jumped off the bed “Sorry about that Professor.”

Karcdob stepped off and chuckled “It’s alright.” He dug his fingers into his fists as he suddenly became nervous.

Goku smelled the change of emotion, waves of nervousness and anxiety rolling off of Karcdob. “Professor? Are you alright? We’re not going to get caught, you don’t have to worry about us.”

Bardock jolted then shook his head, his heart thumping in his chest; why was he getting so nervous all of a sudden? He’d taken on foes that are ten times the size of him no problem, yet trying to convince himself to tell his own cub that he’s his Father is making him a nervous wreck. “It’s… not that. I have full confidence in them.” He took a deep breath and clenched his fists harder “I… I wanted to tell you something.”

Goku shrugged “Okay.” He sat down on the bed and put his head on his fists “What’s up?

Karcdob’s heart rate increased as he felt a small panic attack coming along; seriously body, what the Hell?! He cleared his throat “U-Uh… I-” his voice cracked and he cleared it again “I have something… Very uh, important to tell you.”

Goku nodded “What is it?”

Bardock felt his chest tighten and he walked up to his cub and took a shuddering breath “I… I’m…” he gulped then said “I’m proud of you.”

Goku smiled “Thanks.” he tilted his head, a slightly confused expression “That’s what you want to tell me?”

Karcdob growled at himself and started to pace in front of Goku. He grumbled to himself in the Saiyan tongue “Come on you pathetic monkey just tell him! He’s your damned cub! Toma must be hissing from Otherworld by now!” He put his hands into his pockets then froze; his flask. That’s it! That’s how he would reveal himself; face to face! Karcdob turned to Goku and clenched his fists inside his pockets “Could you perhaps wait here for another… Ten or so minutes? There's something I want to show you. But it has to wear off first.”

Goku looked confused “Alright then?”

Bardock ran a hand down his face “I want to show you what I really look like. Then I'll explain in further detail.”

Goku stood up “You mean this isn't what you really look like?”

Karcdob nodded “I wanted to show you sooner Kakarrot, I really did. I was just so nervous…”

Goku’s brow furrowed “Kakarrot… How do you know that name?”

Bardock chuckled “Well, for one thing it's the only thing Prince Vegeta calls you. He doesn't call you by this other name, he calls you by your birth name.”

Goku’s Ki flared once as he narrowed his eyes “How do you know that? Who are you?”

Karcdob held up his hand to try and calm his angered cub “I’ll tell you everything you need to know as soon as this form wears off. I swear it.”

Goku relaxed his Ki but his muscles were still tense “Okay. But if you try anything, I’ll make you regret it.”

Bardock smiled “I don’t doubt it.” he sat down on the bed and ran his fingers through his hair “I can’t believe i’m doing this… It feels as if this isn’t real.”

Goku huffed impatiently “I don’t get what you’re saying but this better not be a trick.”

Karcdob shook his head “No trick, I wouldn’t dare trick you about this.” he sighed and mumbled to himself in the Saiyan tongue as he wrung his hands together nervously “I wish you were here too Toma… If I had you beside me I wouldn’t be so nervous.” He then blinked and reached over into his bedside drawer and pulled out his red cloth. He smelled it the sighed as he bowed his head and waited for the tell-tale signs of his transformation.

“What’s that?”

Karcdob looked up to see Goku sitting next to him and looking at the red stained cloth in his hands. Karcdob gripped it tighter “A promise.” he closed his eyes tightly “And a memento.”

Goku nodded then laced his fingers together and stared at his fingers. He sighed then crossed his legs and started to meditate.

Bardock looked at his cub curiously but shrugged and went back to paying attention to his red cloth so he didn’t lose his nerves. Nine minutes and thirty-seven seconds later Bardock gasped softly and clenched his fists.

Goku opened his eyes and looked at the Professor, sensing the pain coming from the man “Are you alright?”

Karcdob gasped again and chuckled weakly as the usual feeling of pins stabbing into his skin rampaged his body. “Not really but this is normal- GAH!” He hissed as his lower back got that usual feeling of being on fire as his tail bones grew out; that one always hurt the most.

Goku stood up and watched as the man bowed his head in pain as he slowly transformed. His hair grew out and more spiked, his figure bulked up with more muscle and height, his skin darkened slightly like he had been working out in the sun, and something else that caught Goku off guard completely; a tail sprouted from his clothes and withered painfully as it grew out its fur.

Bardock gasped in pain as his tail felt like thousands of hot pins were bursting out of his tail skin. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth as he tried to not yell out during his transformation. Suddenly and finally, the transformation was over and Bardock gasped with relief and shuddered thankfully. He gulped and rasped out “Always fucking hurts… The tail bit is always the worst.” he chuckled then looked up.

Goku’s eyes widened as he took a few steps back “W-What?” he blinked as he tried to put the pieces together “Are… Are you me from the future?”

Bardock grunted as he stood up and cracked his back “Nah, pretty sure I’m from the past actually Kakarrot.” he smiled crookedly “My name is Bardock. I’m… I’m your Pops.”

Goku’s world seemed to freeze as soon as he heard those words. He stumbled back one step “M-My… Po… P…”

Bardock chuckled “Father, Pa, Dad, any of those work for me. Raditz calls me old man but I hate that one so don’t get any ideas.”

That name wrung a bell “Raditz…?”

Bardock nodded “Yeah, he’s your older brother. Pretty sure he’s five years older than you.” he tilted his head in thought “If you’re around fifteen now, he should be… Sixteen I think?” Bardock furrowed his brow “Or are you five years apart? I can never remember for the life of me…” he chuckled “But he’d be happy to finally meet ya wherever he is. A bit of a pain in the ass if you ask me but I think he got that from me or hanging around with Nappa.”

Goku suddenly felt extremely guilty; this obvious Saiyan male, who claims to be his Father, obviously has fond memories of his his brother… That he killed…

Bardock smelled something wrong with his cub and tilted his head at him “What’s wrong cub?”

Goku’s tail dropped as he mumbled “I’m sorry to have to tell you but… Raditz… He’s dead. He’s been dead for years.”

Bardock froze then sighed “Right… I-I forgot about that.” he curled his tail around his waist “Damn demon told me already… Didn’t tell me how though which is killing me. I have a feeling he just pissed off the wrong person. He always had a bad habit of doing that, getting off on the wrong foot with someone he just met I mean.” He suddenly sensed his cub get more depressed. His paternal instincts kicked in and he pulled his cub to his chest and purred softly to try and comfort his cub “It’s alright. Is there something you know about it?”

Goku felt even worse now that he was this close to his Father. He then remembered that Raditz kidnapped Gohan and tried to use him as bait. Goku pushed Bardock away angrily then hissed “He’s dead because I killed him!” He snorted “Technically is was combined efforts between me and Piccolo, but he was killed in combat. I held him in place as a hole was formed in his chest then tore through mine!” his tail lashed behind him “Even though I died with him, I’m glad he’s gone! He stole my son and ltried to lure me off the planet with him!” Goku scanned Bardock’s face and felt himself take a step back.

Bardock’s face was pure shock. His eyes wide open and his lower jaw loose in a silent gasp. Bardock gulped thickly, his mouth and throat dry “N-No… Th-That…” Bardock fell to his knees, his eyes still wide in shock as he stared at the floor in disbelief “No…” His tail went limp behind him as his youngest cub’s words suck in.

His youngest cub killed his older brother…
His own kin…
His blood…

Bardock’s body shook with anguish and heartbreak. Suddenly though his emotions changed as a single tear fell from his eyes; he was severely pissed now. He clenched his fists and slowly stood up. “You... killed… your blood…” His voice shaking with rage.

Goku narrowed his eyes “He took away my son!”

“YOU KILLED YOUR KIN!” Bardock roared then suddenly choked as tears fell down his face “You killed… my cub… Toma’s cub…” he put a shaky hand over his mouth.

Goku’s brow furrowed “Toma?”

Bardock nodded and removed his hand “Y-Your bearer… Your carrier… My mate…” Bardock fell backwards so he was sitting on the edge of the bed. “I… I can’t…” he shook his head “I can’t believe… You killed him…”

Goku growled “I don’t regret it. He was… What’s that word Vegeta uses? Oh! Insufferable! That’s what Raditz was!” he bared his teeth animalistically “As soon as he hurt my friends and took my son, he wasn’t my brother anymore!”

Bardock stood up and growled “You take that back! He is still your brother! You are bound by blood!”

Goku hissed at Bardock “I don’t care! He ruined my life!”

Bardock snapped his teeth angrily “He loved you! He probably spend years looking for you or looking for the right time to get you!” he waved his hand angrily “I don’t know how you or he lived, but I know for a fact he loved you!” Bardock’s tail lashed behind him “We are a Saiyan family! That means no matter what we say, our bodies will always accept family as just that!” he huffed angrily “Yes, he probably grew into more of a fool than he was as a young cub, but nonetheless; he loved you just as I do! Just as Toma does!”

Goku hissed then growled deeply “I don’t even know if you’re my actual Father!”

Bardock looked bewilder “Don’t-Don’t know?!” he was genuinely shocked “Listen to your instincts boy! You might not want to believe it, but your Saiyan instincts will know!”

Goku growled again “Why should I believe you?”

Bardock growled “Gods be damned Kakarrot!” he ran his fingers through his hair and gruffed out “Toma was right, they both did grow up a lot like me.” Bardock shook his head then glared at his cub “If you’re still denying your Saiyan instincts, our Prince doesn’t deserve a poor excuse of a Saiyan like you.”

Goku’s anger flares and he roared as he lunged at Bardock, a fist aimed at the male’s face. Bardock took the hit then hissed loudly and punched his cub’s jaw. They exchanged anger fuel blows till Bardock got a window of opportunity and went behind his cub and pinned his arms to his side then brought Goku to his knees then onto his stomach, holding his arms behind his back. “Stop this instantly!” All he got back was an angry hiss and growl from his cub as he felt his cub’s Ki raise higher and higher. Bardock thought quickly; what would Toma do whenever Raditz was being troublesome? Something clicked and he leaned down then started to sing nervously “Look at the sky. Look how lovely it is to-night. Can you count all the stars. In the sky?” Goku slowly started to calm down but was still aggravated. Bardock continued, his voice shaky since he normally didn’t sing so it was more like talk-singing that actual singing. “Look at me love. I can see the galaxy in your eyes. Hush now love. You will see me at the sun. Hush little one. Now don't you cry. Sleep now. Sleep until the morning-”

Goku sung softly “Rise…”

Bardock let go of the now passive Goku and sat with his legs crossed “You… You know it?”

Goku sat up and hugged his legs as he faced Bardock “It… It’s in my memory. I don’t remember hearing it before this year but… I remember it.”

Bardock smiled sadly “He sung it on the day you were born to help you stop crying.”

Goku blinked “He? Toma was a Beta?”

Bardock nodded “He was.”

Goku titled his head “What… What happened to him?”

Bardock sighed “He was killed along with the rest of my team. Dodoria's team killed them by surprise I assume. I… I wasn’t there.”

Goku felt a wave of guilt and sadness from Bardock “Where were you?”

Bardock sighed again “I was recovering from some wounds from our last team mission. I got out of the tank then headed out in my pod.” he clutched his chest and shut his eyes “I still remember feeling like someone stabbed by bond mark… The moment Toma was on Death’s doorstep…” Bardock opened his eyes slightly and moved his hand to his bond mark “He… He died in my arms on that purged planet…” he shook his head “When your bonded mate dies unnaturally… It’s the most painful thing you could experience in your life. It feels like someone took a rusty shovel and dug out your heart, ripping it straight from your chest.” The elder Saiyan shook his head “Your bond mark feels likes someone took a torch to it and you can’t do a damn thing to get away from the pain.” Goku stared at Bardock then moved forwards and pulled the other Saiyan into a hug. Bardock froze then said hesitantly “Ka-Kakarrot?”

Goku buried his face his Bardock’s neck then breathed in his scent “I'm sorry…” Goku felt tears slip out of his eyes “I'm sorry for Toma dying… I'm sorry for hurting you… I-I’m sorry for… Raditz’s death…”

Bardock’s breath hitched at Goku’s words then he hugged him tightly and rasped out “My son… My cub. Oh gods Kakarrot, you don't know how much I've been wanting to do this.” He felt tears started to fall from his eyes again but this time from happiness “To finally hold my cub in my arms…”

Goku sniffed as he felt overwhelmed by emotion “Dad…”

Bardock’s resolve completely shattered and he broke down into Goku’s neck. “My boy…” He gasped out as he held Goku tighter, his tail coiling with Goku’s.

Goku sobbed “My Dad… My real Dad!” He sniffed again and smelled the scent that told him that this was, in fact, his Father and blood relative “Kami... I never… I never thought that I would meet you!”

Bardock nuzzled his cheek against Goku’s shoulder and started to purr “I'm here now. And I am not leaving you again Kakarrot.”

Goku sobbed hysterically but happily as he nuzzled into Bardock’s neck. His body started to purr in response to his Father's and the two pure-bloods were now purring happily. Bardock rubbed his Father scent onto his cub and Goku drank up that scent like a starving man.

“Kakarrot!” The door burst open revealing a pissed off and stressed out looking Saiyan Prince.

Goku was hesitate about releasing his Father so he just moved his head and looked at his mate, wiping the tears from his eyes and cheeks “What's up Geta?”

Vegeta growled “What's up? Are you serious? I've been trying to get some rest with Draco but the two of us kept getting woken up!” he raised an eyebrow at Bardock “Who's that?”

Goku purred happily “This is my Dad!”

Vegeta’s eyes widened and immediately blocked his and Draco's bond temporarily so he didn't somehow tune in; even though he was pretty sure he blonde didn't know how to do that yet. “Dad?”

Bardock didn't want to let go of his cub so he looked over at the Prince, quickly wiping away his own tears “Hello Prince Vegeta. Forgive me for not revealing myself sooner.”

Vegeta narrowed his eyes “Weren't you at the front of Frieza’s attack? According to records, you should be dead.”

Bardock shrugged “I don't know what happened. All I know is that I'm alive.”

Vegeta growled slightly “Explain low class. I want to know everything.”

Bardock sighed “Alright. I promised Kakarrot I'd tell him what happened after I transformed anyway.”

Vegeta raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms “You can go Super?”

Bardock blinked “Uh, yes but that's not what I was talking about.”

Goku grinned at Bardock “You can go Super Saiyan too?”

Bardock chuckled “I can. What I'm surprised at is that you said ‘too’. Does that mean you can as well?”

Goku nodded as they stood up and sat on the bed “Yup! Geta and Gohan can too!”

Bardock’s eyes widened as he looked at the Prince “Really?” Vegeta scoffed then with a burst of Ki, he turned into a Super Saiyan. Bardock gawked “Incredible.” He watched as Vegeta then powered down.

Vegeta glanced at the door “Your brat is here Karo.”

The door opened a second later to a worried looking Gohan “Otousan! Is everything alright? Me and Piccolo felt a lot of Ki flares!” Piccolo nodded from his spot behind Gohan as they walked into the room.

Piccolo smirked when he spotted Bardock “Hn, so you told him?”

Bardock nodded “I have. The Prince doesn't yet. I was going to but you two entered.”

Gohan blinked “Um, okay…? You guys know each other?”

Piccolo and Bardock said “No.”

Bardock Sattler down on the bed then rubbed his hands together. “For those who were not here, I am formerly known as Karcdob.”

I've been waiting a long time for this moment and been wondering for a while now how I was going to reveal Bardock to the group! I hope you guys enjoy the family drama!
