Author’s Note: I’m surprised and delighted at
the turnout of people reading my story. I didn’t know that I was that
popular. To all the readers thank you, you humble me by reading it.
Thank you to all the reviewers too, you make me smile, and grit my teeth
in frustration, but you do elicit an emotion of some sort. Please keep
reading I haven’t given up. Oh and I know that there was something
mentioned about the surprise that Hermione was going to find in her
room, that’ll come later. So don’t be too confused after reading
this chapter.
Hermione walked slowly towards the girls bathroom, not sure if
she would make it before she tossed her cookies. She was about to push
the door open when she sensed people behind her. She turned her head
slowly and her eyes widened as she saw Malfoy loom up with Crabbe and
Goyle behind him. “What do you want?” She managed to croak out
before throwing ur lur lunch on Malfoys’ polished shoes.
“Ewwww.” Crabbe whimpered out before his vomit splashed the
back of Malfoys shoes.
Goyle moved wearily back, not wanting to be splashed. He knew
that Malfoy would not like this change of events, in fact this would
only make him more determined to make the Gryffindor girl get killed.
“Goyle grab her.” Malfoy snapped out, his own stomach rolling
at the sight of vomit. The smell wasn’t that nice either. Draco was
furious but he would deal with that later. If everything went well no
one would know that it was the three of them that took precious Granger.
Draco smiled and watched as a limp Granger was bound by Goyle. Her eyes
were dull, the spark in them that had always annoyed Draco suspiciously
absent. “Come.” Draco said and threw Crabbe a disgusted look. Draco
would make sure that Crabbe got what was coming to him. Draco grimaced
at his shoes before shaking the vomit from them and following Goyle.
Hermione knew that revealing her hidden talents might not be a
good thing to do right now, what with her being tied up and all. ‘Well
at least my stomach’s feeling better.’ Hermione thought, and it was
true, thanks to her throwing up her stomach now felt better, her head
wasn’t whirling and the pounding had settled down to a mere throb.
Draco looked around, making sure that no one was about before
gesturing for Goyle to follow him with his bundle. They were at the
edges of the dark forest and Draco couldn’t help but shiver as the
sunlight failed to even reach into the forest. The branches loomed over
and blotted out what little sunshine there was. Draco had only been here
twice, once with Potter and once on his own. Draco smiled as he thought
of the evils that would befall the precious Gryffindor at the hands, or
claws of the inhabitants of the dark forest.
Hermione knew she was in trouble when she saw where they were
headed. She wasn’t stupid; the dark forest was off limits and for
Malfoy to bring her here only meant one thing. She wasn’t meant to be
found. She turned her eyes towards Goyle. He was ignoring her and she
knew it. She was weak, not at full strength and knew that once she was
alone, tied up as she was that there wasn’t a thing she or her feline
side could do to protect themselves. Hermione desperately racked her
brain for anything, any sort of plan. Hermione tried to move her hands
and was rewarded when the ropes budged a little. Her wand was in her
pocket and Hermione hoped that Malfoy wouldn’t take it from her, not
before she could cast one spell. Now that a plan was forming Hermione
knew what she had to do. She had to follow in Voldemorts’ footsteps
and create her own full moon. If she did a spell that dissolved her
ropes they would simply tie her up again. No this was the only course of
action Hermione had left. Hermione knew it was wrong of her but she
couldn’t suppress the shiver that ripped through her. She had only
been in her wolf form once thanks to her turning on the last night of
the last full moon but she knew that it wouldn’t matter. In wolf form
she could handle anything that this forest threw at her. She stopped
struggling and went through her mental library trying to recall the
spell. She turned her eyes skyward as she remembered. Praying that it
would work Hermione reached into her pocket and whispered out the spell.
“Formo falsus plenus luna donec nox.” Hermione vainly tried to see
if Draco or Goyle had heard. She hoped not. The moon wouldn’t show
that it would become full until night, at least that was what the spell
meant roughly translated. Hermione closed her eyes and focused on her
other senses, namely her nose. She tried to smell any other creatures
stirring at this moment but only smelt Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle and
herself.
It seemed like forever but finally they stopped walking. Hermione
opened her eyes and stared hatefully at Malfoy. “You’ll never get
away with this you know.” Hermione spat out her hackles rising as
Malfoy laughed.
Draco bent down until he was eye level with his prisoner. “And
what makes you think I won’t? You won’t have your wand now will you?
Mudblood, good for nothing mudblood.” Draco spat out and watched with
satisfaction as the Granger girls’ face drained of colour as Draco
reached into her pocket and took out her wand. “That’s right, no one
will think of looking for you here, now will they? They’ll think
you’ve gone to your room feeling poorly. You probably locked and
warded your room didn’t you? That will only further support the idea.
Now we’ve got to leave you or it might seem suspicious, oh and to make
sure you don’t scream for help….or for any other reason. Confuto!”
Draco was rewarded when the Granger girls’ rantings immediately
stopped abruptly. “Come on then.” Draco said and walked away.
Hermione watched in anger as the three boys left her. Her nails
lengthened and she tried to bend over so that her nails could reach the
ropes on her ankles. She sighed when all she did was overbalance herself
and knocked herself onto her side. Her scream of frustration didn’t
make a sound and that made Hermione want to scream even more.
‘Nightfall, wait until nightfall and then he’s mine.’ Hermione
smiled at the thought. A pissed off witch is a sight to behold, a pissed
off werewolf makes one run in the opposite direction, hoping that
you’re not the one that pissed it off.
Remus was walking towards his classroom but stopped when he heard
Filch muttering about messy students. He pondered for a minute but
continued onto his classroom, thinking about the problem only what?
Three nights away. Remus looked at the clear beakers sitting on his
desk, twin bottles of both hell and salvation. He put them in the bottom
drawer and locked it, promising himself that he would give it to
Hermione tonight.
Severus watched as the last of the students filed out of the
Great Hall and wondered again at Lupins’ words. Had he really
succeeded in killing her will? Her spirit? Severus shook himself as a
chill swept down his spine. He wasn’t scared, at least he didn’t
think that Hermione would have given up so easily. He hoped.

Hagrid watched as the students sat down on the stumps and watched
as Ron and Harry looked around and glanced at their watches. Hagrid made
his way over as quietly as possible and whispered. “What’s the
matter boys?”
Harry looked up at his friend and grimaced. “Hermione said that
she would meet us here earlier and she still hasn’t appeared. I know
that she said that she was going to the library but we checked after she
didn’t show up her like she said. No one has seen her since she left
the Great hall. I’m worried.” Harry said and Ron nodded his head in
agreement.
Hagrid frowned. He had heard rumors, had even wondered at the new
necklace that he’d seen Hermione wearing but hadn’t asked. Hagrid
patted Harry on the shoulder and motioned the boys to the side. “I’m
gonna see the headmaster about this matter. I’ll leave the class an
assignment that makes us all go ithe the castle. Sound about right?”
Hagrid nodded and mentioned the change in lesson plan to the class
before heading back up the path to the castle and Dumbledore.
Hermione took in deep breaths and tried to calm her racing heart.
Moonrise was only a few hours away, 3 and a half to be exact and already
Hermione could feel the change starting. Her bones ached and her heart
raced as her organs slowly molding themselves. Normally this would have
taken place in an instant but because it was a false full moon, one that
was of her own making it caused the changes to happen at a slower rate.
Hermione gritted her teeth as a sharp pain took hold. Her ropes were
tight as ever and she had had no luck loosening them at all. Hermione
held onto the thought that when she changed she could go after Malfoy
and make him pay. Oh yes that little bastard would pay and so would his
henchmen. Hermione smiled and forced herself to go over her thesis for
her Transfiguration final.
Dumbledore looked up from his book as he heard tnocknock on his
door. “Enter.”
Hagrid walked in careful of his larger size, making sure not to
touch anything breakable. “Uh Dumbledore I think we got a problem. It
involves Hermione.”
Albus felt his stomach plummet as he heard those words. Forcing
himself to remain calm he asked “And what has made you think that
there is a problem involving Miss Granger?”
“That’s the thing Dumbledore, sir, it twasn’t me that
thought that there be something wrong with Hermione. It was Harry and
Ron. Supposedly Hermione was to meet them at a certain time but then she
didn’t show up so they checked where she was to be but had to come
back to my class.” Hagrid drew in a deep breath as he finished his
explanation.
Albus reached for one of his candies and chewed thoughtfully. It
wasn’t as bad as he had first thought or maybe it was. Albus sighed
and chewed on another candy. “We’ll wait until dinner. If she
doesn’t show up then we’ll organize into search parties and search
the castle. Can you please send Harry to me?” Albus sighed out loud as
Hagrid left. Not many people knew that he knew of the Marauder’s Map
and Albus hoped that Harry still had the damned thing.
End of part 21. Hah! Didn’t see that one coming
did you? See what I mean about don’t be confused about Draco’s
plans. You’ll see what he did to her room, oh and he locked and warded
her room, Hermione didn’t she just walked out. So everything fits. I
lied when I said that updates won’t be as usual. I got my creative
juices flowing again and the commissions can always wait a few
hours…days…who knows. I am the artist after all. LOL. Review if you
want more.
