Chapter 21: Not Over

Running, hard and fast, she had to get to them she had to protect them. She pushed herself to get away from her captors now they are chasing her. She could hear their voices shouting in the dark trying to find her but she had to keep going. Her body was screaming in pain but she ignored it. She could feel her blood and sweat mixing together on her face but she kept pushing. She had to get to them she just had to,

She turned her head and saw the shadows of them coming closer, she had no time to stop she had to keep pushing through until she got to them.
"Going somewhere," That voice sent ice cold chills up and down her spine. The shadow stepped out of the darkness with an evil smirk. She raised her wand, "Where are they?!" she yelled. Before she could think a flash of green light started heading her way.
"Riley, baby wake up!" Hermione had her by the shoulders trying to hold her thrashing girlfriend down. "Another one?" Draco asked as he rushed into the room and helped Hermione hold down Riley.
"Riley come on wake up!" Hermione tried everything this time to get her to wake up but it wasn't working. After more tries Draco looked at her and nodded, "No anything but that go get her mum!" She was refusing to give her the wake up potion because she didn't want her to wake up so suddenly she just wanted her to open her eyes not snap them open.
Katie came rushing into the room and grabbed Riley's face, "Riley sweetheart come on wake up," she said. It hurt to see her daughter in pain like this. Even though her eyes were closed she could see that she's been crying and she couldn't stop it this time. "Riley come back to us honey," she tried but nothing was working and she was thrashing more than she used to. This was going on for two weeks straight and they don't know what's causing it. "Hermione sweetheart I know you don't want to but you have to give it to her."
Finally sighing in defeat she reached over to the night stand and got a vile of white looking potion out and gave it to Katie. "Hold her down while I give her some," she instructed to two and they nodded. Trying to hold her down was hard but they finally manged to do so. Katie got her mouth opened and poured just a little bit of it into her mouth. After serveal moments Riley eyes snapped open and she sat up gasping for air. Katie took her daughter's face in her hands, "Riley it's okay it's mom. You're fine sweetheart you're safe. Breathe in and out slowly." She helped Riley calm down her breathing and she looked at her mom, "Mom?" she asked and Katie nodded. At that moment all Riley could do was cry. "Oh my darling," she whispered softly as she let her eldest cry in her arms.
Draco and Hermione took that time to leave the room and softly closed the door behind them. Draco sat back on the cough with a big sigh, "The lessons aren't working and neither is the dreamless potion. Whatever or whoever is getting into her mind is really powerful," he said as he rubbed his eyes.
Hermione was standing by the fire trying to figure out what or who could be doing this. Riley's father was finally put away and awaits trial again in the next few weeks and now some one is still trying to hurt Riley. "We need to find and see if there were any folllowers. Tonight was the worst of them all and we need to start a search."
"Dumbledore is already working on that. It might be someone on the inside agian like with Jessie but she's put away too. Some that's close to us but there's no one I can think of anyone. Harry and Ron you've been close to since first year, Ginny you've gotten close to over the years. I've know Emma for a while. Susan wouldn't hurt a fly and her boys have been around for years.Luna i is is a bit weird but she's not weird to hurt some one. Somebody is either getting into her mind from afar or some one has been slipping her potions."
"But who would? We can't rule anyone out we have to find them and find out why," Draco got up from the couch and started to head out of the commone room, "I'm gonna find everyone and get them up to speed," he walked out and Hermione stared back into the fire just as Katie was coming out of Riley's room. She closed the door softly and saw Hermione, "How about some tea sweetie?" she asked as she put her arms around her and led to the couch. Just as they sat down a tray with a tea pot, two tea cups, some lemon and some sugar appeared. She pourted some tea into the two cups and gave one to Hermione. She could tell she was tired, they all were. All her friends have been working in shifts to help Riley come out of her nightmares and it's taking a toll. She asked Remus if he could do anything and he was trying his best to find out. She got a closer look at Hermione and she could tell from her tired eyes and the bags under them that she hasn't been getting much sleep.
Hermoine didn't want to leaver her girlfriend because Christmas was just around the corner along with the ball. Dumbledore gave everyone the option to go home for some of the holidays and come back a few days before. As the thought came to her she finally let the tears go. Katie put down her cup and put her arms around the young woman. "I don't want to leave her," she sobbed. "I know you don't but it's your choice."
Meanwhile in the Room of Requirment Draco told everyone what happened and that he and Hermione thinks it might be someone on the inside again. They sent word to Dumbledore since he was traveling trying to find if Rliey's father had any followers. He looked around the room and saw all the people he became close to over the start of the year. They all wanted this to be over but it's not going to be over until they find out who's doing this to Riley. Christmas was closing in on them and he knew it was far from everyone's mind right now. Something had to be done and it had to be done soon.

"I don't want to leave you," Hermione said as she held Riley close.
"I know but you need a break from all this. Plus you'll be back before Christmas." She smiled as she kissed her on the top of her head.
"You're gonna be okay right?"
Riley nodded, "Yeah I'll be fine. You have my e-mail, my cell phone, and there's always an owl. I'm not gonna let you miss out on Aspen," She told her with a smile.
Hermione just nodded and leaned up and kissed her softly. Riley pulled her closer and didn't want this moment to end but the sound of the train brought them back.
"I love you stay safe please," she whispered.
"I love you and I will be right here when you get back I promise." With one finally kiss they let go of each other and Hermione boarded the train. She found Ron and Ginny and sat down across from them. "Don't worry Hermione we'll be back before you know it. She just nodded and they all looked out the window and waved. Riley blew a kiss to Hermione and she blew one back. The train started to move and she slowly lost sight of her. She finally let the tears fall and Ron and Ginny went over to her and held her until she fell asleep. They looked at each other and sighed as if to say this is getting to be too much.
Later that night all the boys and Riley were in the Head's common room. "So Harry with most of the castle gone what is there to do?" Ryan asked.
Harry smirked, "Well if you're looking for trouble meet me at Filch's office at midnight and bring the Firewhiskey." They all got up and started getting ready for their night of fun. Which of course they all needed.
Dressed in all black the plan was to get Mr. Filch's desk and put in on top of a tower. They decided it would be Hufflepuff's. Mike and Eric broke into the office and Mike used his wand to shrink the desk and he put it in his pocket. After that was done they hurried to the castle doors. Taking out the small desk in his pocket he brought it back to normal size and then he floated it up to the tower. They gave each other high fives and started to walk throughthe snow to the shack. Keeping their eyes open making sure no one was around Harry used the spell to freeze the whomping willow and he lead the rest through the secret passage that was there.
Once they made it Draco made quick work of putting on a fire and everyone had heating charms on their jackets and cloaks. Eric started to empty his bag. He brought out bottles of Firewhiskey, glasses, sleeping bags, pillows, chairs and a small radio. He found a station that plays muggle and wizard musicians. When everyone was settled he poured a glass for each of them, "Here's to good friends, good relationships and good drinks," he said and they all clinked their glasses together and drank.
It was nice to have friends around and her family close this year and she couldn't be happier. She had an amazing girlfriend that she loved and she had everything she could possibly ask for what more could she want.
"So Riley any wedding bells for you and Hermione?" Draco asked with a smirk.
She chuckled, "I have a plan and it does have Hermione in it but it's too soon for wedding bells we haven't been together that long."
"What's the plan?" Harry pipped in.
"Well graduate first and since Outsiders is about to sign with a bigger label I know what I'm doing until I put down the mic. Once Hermione chooses what she wants to do I plan to move in together with her and then about a year or so later ask her to marry me. And of course I want all my best guys right now to stand up with me on the day. I can't just pick one of you."
"Here here!" Kelesy said with a smile and they all took another drink.
"What about you Draco you and Emma seem kind of close."
He smiled, "Well I do plan to go to school to become a Healer and then be able to settle down with Emma after a while."
Harry went next, "I'll be in Fiji with my Godfather soaking up the sun and living a nice carefree life for a few years. Then I plan to open up my own resturant."
Kelesy lit up a cigerette and spoke, "After school and after Outsiders I'm going to be opening up my own pub in Ireland."
"I'm going to move to California and surf as much as I can," Ryan told them with a smile.
"I'm going to produce music and start my own label for those that know what music is all about," Eric said smiling.
"I'm gonna start a charity for Danielle" everyone got slient at that then Riley stood up and held up her glass, "Too Danielle"
"Too Danielle" they all repeated and they took a drink.
The rest of the night they talked about their futures and what they want in it. About how many kids they would like and what they would like their kids to do. They also decided that no matter what happens in life they all should meet at least once a year no matter what. They continued into the night with more drinking and talking and laughing. This was something they all needed.

In a dark cell he read a small piece of paper, "She's having the dreams will attack soon." He smiled an evil smile, "It has begun."
