Ginny and the elder Adams appeared in Grimmauld
Place. Ginny was exhausted to the bone with her extra magic gone and apparating with another person.
She sat on her twin sized bed attempted while
Serena’s mother took in her surroundings.
“Where am I?” she asked. She had light southern
accent and her voice sounded like beautiful tinkling bells. Ginny found that
she liked it.
“The Order of the Phoenix Headquarters—as soon as I
get my strength up I will be contacting Dumbledore so he can tell me what to do
next,”
“Dumbledore? You mean
Albus Dumbledore correct,” she asked.
Ginny nodded.
“Are you crazy? I can’t see him looking like this!”
Ginny took in the woman’s torn clothing and her
bruised face. Though she wasn’t at her best, Ginny couldn’t deny that Serena’s
mother was stunning. She was tall, curvy, and stood with confidence. Her
elegant single braided, grey and black hair fell across her back and her skin
was the color of dark chocolate. Serena did look a lot like her but it didn’t change
the fact that Serena did have a few of Dumbledore’s features, the most
interesting one being his bright blue eyes and his sense of humor.
“Well until
he comes to this house Miss Adams there is nothing more I can do to make you
look presentable. You are taller than I am so I can’t lend you any clothing. I
can request that he have Serena bring you some clothing—I’m sure you will want
to see her,” Ginny said.
“Well of course I want to see my baby—and we are
about the same size. I guess I can wait for them to show up. I just don’t want
to see him before I am presentable,”
“Alright then, there are towels in the dresser here
so you can take a shower. I’ll show you to the guest bedroom,” Ginny said,
attempting to stand.
Serena’s mother took pity on her and helped her stand up.
Nodding her thanks, Ginny waddled out the bedroom
door. She showed Serena’s mother the guest bedroom before making her way to the
floo.
The house was abnormally quiet as Ginny made her
way to the library. She glanced at a clock on her way and saw that it
read half past midnight. Remus and Sirius were probably sleeping, growing tired
of waiting for her to arrive back from Voldemort’s summons.
Ginny made it to the library. She walked over to
the fireplace and flooed Dumbledore’s quarters.
“What do you need Miss Weasley?” Dumbledore asked,
sticking his head through the floo.
“Well, I managed to retrieve Miss Adams for the
Dark Lord earlier tonight. We need Madam Pomfrey and we need Serena to bring
some extra clothing for her. Could you also bring a pensieve? I believe there
are some thoughts that you need to see,”
Ginny shifted, gritting her teeth at the pain that
shoot from her knees to her back.
“You have Miss Adams? Well by all means I will be
there as fast as I can. I will call a small meeting with the people that we
need. Meanwhile, wake Sirius and Remus sees to Serena’ mother needs and get
some sleep. You look as if you’re going to fall over,” Dumbledore said.
“I will try Headmaster,” Ginny said giving
Dumbledore a weak smile.
“I look forward to hearing about your heroics Miss
Weasley—until then,”
Dumbledore closed the floo.
Ginny stepped away from the floo and summoned Kreacher. She ordered him to wake Remus and Sirius.
Ten minutes later both Sirius and Remus stumbled
into the library, looking as if they both just rolled out of bed.
“What’s going o …” Sirius let out a huge yawn,
stretching his hands high to the ceiling.
“Serena’s mother is here. Dumbledore is on his way
with a number of Order members to have a quick meeting,” Ginny said, yawning
herself.
“How is she here? Wasn’t she missing for most of
the last month?” Sirius asked.
“I will clear up everything at the meeting.
Dumbledore told me to call both of you to help Serena’s mother out so that I
can rest up a little bit before the meeting. She was in the shower before I
left but she should be in a guest bedroom by my room by now,”
Sirius was about to ask another question when Remus
stopped him.
“Of course Ginny—by all means, rest up,” he said,
giving her a soft smile.
Ginny smiled gratefully.
“Thanks,” she said.
She left the room to do just that.
---
Sirius turned to Remus after Ginny left the room.
“I still don’t understand how she could have
possibly gotten that woman—I mean how a sixteen year old pregnant teenager
manages to find a woman missing for one month is hard for me to wrap my head
around,” Sirius said.
“As Ginny said, she will explain everything later.
Right now I think she needs some rest. Did you forget that she had to service
You-Know-Who tonight? I’m sure doing that would drain anyone,” Remus said.
“Right, forgot about that. Well, I need to get
dressed for this meeting. How about you go help the Adam’s woman?” Sirius said.
“Fine,”
Remus left the library and made his way to the
guest bedroom.
He knocked on the door softly.
“Come in,” a soft southern voice came from behind
the door.
Remus opened the door and quickly averted his gaze
at the towel clad woman.
“I’m so sorry—I thought you were decent,” he said.
The woman chuckled.
“I am decent sugar—it’s not like you can see
anything,”
“My name is Remus and I am here to make sure that
you have everything you need while Ginny gets some rest,” Remus said, keeping
his gaze on the wall.
“Is that the sweet chile’s
name? It fits her. She deserves some rest after what she did to get me out of
that hell hole. Lord knows I’ve been in worse but that scaley
bastard did a pretty good job in making me feel hopeless,”
Remus smiled softly.
“I know what you mean—he’s not a very nice wizard,”
The woman chuckled again.
“That’s an understatement if I ever heard one,”
“Was there anything I could get you Miss Adams?”
Remus asked.
“Oh don’t start with this Miss Adams nonsense. Call
me Georgia,”
“My apologies Georgia,”
“Don’t apologize to me for something you didn’t
know Remus—you can’t control that. Any who, I need a robe. Can’t have you
staring at the wall the whole time now can I?” Georgia teased.
Remus blushed.
“Of course not—let me go find you one,” Remus said.
Remus left Georgia and went to his room.
After digging around for a little while, he came up
with an extra bathrobe.
Knocking on Georgia’s door again and getting a positive
response, Remus went back into the room and gave Georgia the robe.
“Alright, turn around dear while I put this on,”
Georgia said.
“Maybe I should just lea—”
“If I wanted you to leave I would have told you
Remus now turn around,”
Remus turned around without argument.
‘Merlin this
woman is bossy,’ he thought.
“Okay you can turn back around now,”
Remus turned around and saw Georgia covered in one
of his ratty robes to mid shin. She sat on the bed and crossed her legs.
“Was there anything else you needed?” Remus asked,
feeling uncomfortable with the way she studied him.
“You’re a werewolf aren’t you Remus?” she asked,
putting her chin in her hands.
Remus opened in closed his mouth a few times. He
was not expecting that as a question. He thought he was fairly good at hiding
that part of who he was.
“How did you know?” Remus finally managed to ask.
“The sadness in your robe sweetie—I can feel it in
my bones. Why are you so sad? Being a werewolf isn’t the end of the world,”
Georgia said.
“Maybe not for Serena but it is for me,” Remus said
quietly.
Georgia patted the side of the bed.
“Come talk to me about it,”
Remus suddenly felt his heart open with a warmness
that he had never felt before. He didn’t who to hide that essential part of who
he was anymore—even if he did consider it a curse.
He walked over to the bed and sat where she patted.
“So you know about my daughter’s condition then?”
Georgia asked.
“Yes—she offered herself to me actually,”
Georgia chuckled.
“Well you aren’t a bad looking man and my baby
wouldn’t have done it unless her heart told her to do so,”
“Her father won’t let me anywhere near her though,”
Remus said with a sigh.
“Hm—that sounds like
Albus. Always trying to protect others even when they don’t want protection,”
Georgia said.
“That’s right—Serena was not happy to be told what
to do,”
Georgia patted Remus’ hand.
“No worries—I will have a talk with Albus if you
truly want to mate with my daughter,”
The reality of what Remus actually wanted didn’t hit him until that very moment. Remus was
used to being denied what he wanted so he never let himself hope for getting
what he wanted. But Georgia Adams, she gave him permission to dream.
“I do want your daughter to be my mate,”
“Good—I can feel the desire in your heart,”
Georgia gave Remus a hug. She pulled away and
winked at him
“Welcome to the family sweetie,”
There was another knock at the door.
“Come in Albus,” Georgia called.
Dumbledore walked into the room. He raised an
eyebrow at seeing Remus sitting on the bed next to Georgia.
“Georgie, don’t tell me
you’ve been reading people again,”
“For our daughter’s sake Albus—now what is this
about you not letting Serena mate with this nice man?” Georgia asked.
“Georgie, our daughter is
only eighteen. She has whole life ahead of her. She doesn’t need to worry about
being tied down to anyone right now,”
“Just like you left me without saying goodbye to
protect me from the crazy manic trying to take over England. Guess what, your
logic didn’t work and it doesn’t work for Serena. She’s an adult and she can
make her own decisions. Just as she is your daughter she is mine. If she feels
in her heart that she wants to become Remus’ mate, we should not stand in the
way of it,”
“Georgie—”
“Don’t try that with me Albus. You have already
hurt me bad by trying to make decision for me—I don’t want the same for our
daughter. Don’t hold them back any longer. Let them do what their destiny is
telling them to do,”
Remus was surprised to see Dumbledore sigh and hang
his head in defeat. What kind of magic
did Georgia Adams have?
As if reading Remus’ mind, Georgia focused her
attention back on him.
“I’m Divination Professor in the States. Dumbledore
originally came to me because of a rumor saying that I told a prophecy about
the Dark Lord. Though the rumor was false the feelings that we had for each
other weren’t. Well fell in love and I planned on leaving my life in America to
be with Albus but before I could even pack, he left back to England without me,
simply leaving a little note as an explanation for why we couldn’t be together
any longer,”
“Georgie, you know I
never meant to hurt you,” Dumbledore said.
Georgia stood and walked over to Dumbledore. She
laid a hand against his cheek and gave him a sad smile.
“But you did and though I thought I forgave you
many years ago—now that I see you, I realized that maybe I never did,”
With that, Georgia walked out of the room, closing
the door softly behind her.
Dumbledore stared at the door.
“I believe I owe you an apology Remus. In my effort
to protect those around me, I almost hurt who I cared about again. I won’t
repeat that mistake. If you feel that in your heart you should be with Serena
then I won’t stop you from doing so,”
Remus stood and walked over to Dumbledore, putting
a comforting hand on his shoulder.
“She’ll come around Albus—I’m sure she still loves
you,” Remus said.
“I sure hope so my body—I sure hope so,”
---
“Ginevra,”
“Go away,” Ginny moaned, turning on her side to
sleep some more.
“We need you at the meeting love—you still have to
tell us how you managed to get Serena’s mother away from the Dark Lord,”
Ginny peeked open one eye and was greeted with the
sight of Lucius standing over her like some kind of angel (or better yet god).
She bit back the urge to groan in frustration. She
felt as if she only got three seconds of sleep rather than an hour.
Ginny took Lucius’ outstretched leather clad hand
and got to her feet with a grunt.
Though she was groggy, she noticed Lucius stare.
Without warning, she felt her clothing shift completely. What used to be her
semen covered gown was changed into an elegant set of dark green (what was him
obsession with seeing her in green?) wizarding robes.
“Thanks,” Ginny muttered, latching onto Lucius’
arm.
They both made their way into the kitchen full of
Order members.
Her parents and Bill were there along with Tonks, Moody, Remus, Sirius, Snape,
Dumbledore and Georgia.
Lucius lead Ginny over to the two empty seats next
to Tonks.
Ginny caught her dad’s eyes. He was looking
questioningly over to Lucius pulling out her chair. Ginny quickly averted her
gaze. Both Snape and Lucius agreed that telling her parents about her binding
to Snape wasn’t the best idea in the world at that moment.
Still, Lucius spent so much time doting on Ginny
while they were in public that it was bound to get noticed sooner or later by
someone in her family.
“Thank you for joining us Miss Weasley,” Dumbledore
said as a way of greeting.
“I’m happy to be here,” Ginny said with a weak
smile.
“As I am sure that everyone wants to go back home
and sleep, I believe the one question on everyone’s mind that needs to be
answered is how you managed to get Georgia away from Tom” Dumbledore asked.
“I actually think it would be best for all of you
to view my memory in your pensive sir. If I tried to explain what happened, you
wouldn’t believe me,”
“Of course—select your memory and place it in the
pensieve. We’ll all view it from there,” Dumbledore said diplomatically.
Ginny drew her wand from her transfigured robes and
placed it to her temple before drawing a long silver strand out.
She placed it in the pensieve and watched everyone
in the meeting eagerly shuffle to the large bowl.
The only person that didn’t shuffle was Georgia.
She gave Ginny a small smile after everyone was engrossed with the memory.
“I never thanked you for getting me out of there,”
she said.
Ginny waved her hand dismissively.
“You would have done the same for me.”
“You’re a good person Ginny Weasley and your kids
will be blessed in having a mother like you to raise them, despite your youth,”
Georgia said.
Ginny blushed.
“Thank you very much Mis—”
“I swear if one more person attempts to call me
Miss I might pull my hair out. I am Georgia and don’t you refer to me
otherwise,”
“Yes Georgia,” Ginny said smiling.
By this time, everyone finally pulled away from the
large bowl of memories. They looked at her in shock.
“I can’t believe he actually gave you his wand,”
Tonks muttered, her hair turning from pink to rainbow stripes.
“I can’t believe you actually Obliviated
him,” Bill looking at Ginny as if he had never seen her before.
Moody nodded to Ginny.
“Good work girl,”
Ginny blushed. She was not used to getting any kind
of praise. That was more Hermione’s thing.
“From the look of the memory, I would say the extra
magic in your belly had a lot to do with it. Tell me Severus, how much do you
know about this mystery potion and Miss Weasley’s condition?” Dumbledore asked
rubbing his beard with his long fingers.
“Not much I’m afraid
Albus. I have two more potions to look up before I can start to look into the
effects it’s having on Miss Weasley’s pregnancy,” Snape said neutrally.
Inside Snape was reeling from the images of Ginny’s
memory. He couldn’t believe she actually had the gall to trick the Dark Lord
the way she did.
“Whatever time you need within the next three days
Severus I will give to you. We need to figure out what the potion is,”
Dumbledore said.
“You are welcome to come into my library tomorrow
night Severus, I’m sure we will find the solution there,” Lucius said.
“Thank you for your offer Lucius—I will be there,”
Snape said with a slight nod.
“Wonderful and Ginevra, as brilliant as it was for
you to rescue Georgia, I would feel better if you don’t try another risky
mission like you did tonight until we figure out what kind of magic we are
dealing with,”
“Of course Headmaster,” Ginny said, nodding her
head.
“Excellent! Well I believe this meeting is
adjourned. Ginevra, I would like for you to travel back to Hogwarts with me
since school is back in session tomorrow. The rest of you, I will call if I see
another meeting is needed—otherwise the regular monthly meeting is still on,”
With those parting words, the meeting was over.
