Champion of Angel�s: Chapter 20

�Kiba, tell me again how Toshi was acting toward Demis.� Sesshomaru asked in concern, wondering if what was going on was what he thought.

�His eyes were streaking with red Uncle. Also, he seemed to react strongly to Demis�s body language. Trying to touch him and keep him close.� Kiba sighed; she didn�t feel as though Toshi was a threat to her brother. It was just she had never seen Toshi act that way before.

Sesshomaru�s eyes widened briefly, before speaking, �Kiba, I think that Toshi has chosen Demis as his mate.�

�Uncle, Demis is too young to mate. You know this as well as I. � Kiba growled in frustration as her shadow powers swirled around her.

�True, however if that is what is occurring then Toshi will make his intentions known and ask Alexandros to write up a petition to court.� Sesshomaru stated with certainty, not wanting his goddaughter to unleash her magic in his office.
At that, Kiba pulled her magic back. And with narrowed eyes, she stormed out of the room with determination on finding Toshi and having a few words with him.

Sesshomaru smirked in amusement; he knew that Toshi would have a fight on his hands. His pup would have to prove his worth to Kiba as well as Alexandros if he was going to get Demis. Figuring that Alexandros needed the heads up just in case, he moved quickly to floo to Tashio Academy hoping to corner the Vampire in his office.

Demis was listening to Toshi tell him about the Egyptian language, taking notes at the same time. It was one of the oldest languages in existence and slowly changed through time. Demis knew that he would have to master it before Kiba would take him there. And he was determined to do so as quickly as possible.

�Well little one that is the end of this first lesson. Did you understand the concept behind the old language, or do you need me to go over it again?� Toshi softly asked as he looked into Demis�s eyes.

�I think I have it. But if I have questions later can I call you?� Demis whispered as he felt the blush form on his cheeks again as he looked into those golden eyes.
�Of course you can. I�ll be heading to Aki hotel after lunch. So if you need me later on you�ll know where I�ll be.� Toshi announced trying to keep from touching the boy again. He knew now that after three hours with Demis that he needed to talk to Alexandros. This boy was his mate; there was no doubt about it now.

�Oh, well ok I�ll call you at the hotel if I need any help then.� Demis stated trying to keep the upset from his voice. But when Toshi pulled him into his lap, he knew that he didn�t manage it.

�Don�t worry little one, I�m just a call away. And I�ll be back tomorrow as well. It will take several months for you to master this language.� Toshi responded as he held the boy in his lap. Causing his beast to growl in joy.

�I�m hungry Toshi.� Demis whispered into Toshi�s chest, not wanting to leave the safety of the Inu�s lap.

Smiling Toshi stood up with Demis in his arms and walked back into the Mansion. He knew that Demis was too young to mate. But he wasn�t about to pass up the opportunity to spend time with him. They were just about to the dining hall when he noticed Kiba storming toward him.

�Kiba?� Toshi whispered to Demis not taking his eyes off the young woman coming toward them.

Demis lifted his head quickly, �Sister!� he exclaimed. Wondering what had her in a temper.

�Toshi, I need a word with you.� Kiba growled out her eyes cold, as she reached the two. Her eyes softened as she looked at her brother. �Demis your lunch is at the table. Toshi and I will join you shortly. �

Demis opened his mouth to protest, but from the look on his sister�s face he knew to remain silent. So as quickly as he could, he pulled out of Toshi�s hold and entered the dining room.

�Come with me Toshi-kun.� Kiba hissed as she motioned to the door next to the dining room.

Toshi sighed as he followed, wondering how she knew of his interest in her brother. Once inside he waited for Kiba to say her peace. Knowing it wouldn�t matter in the end. Because Alexandros had final say when it came to Demis.

�I want the truth Toshi, is my brother your mate?� Kiba hissed out as she turned around sharply at the Inu-Prince before her.

�Yes,� Toshi sighed preparing himself for a fight.

Kiba gasped, before her face became ice. �He is untouchable Toshi, until he reaches adulthood. Make sure he�s the one before you string him along. I will not let you pull him into your bed until he�s of age.�

�I would never force him into my bed. I promise you that I will do right by him.� Toshi exclaimed clinching his fists.

�See that you do.� Kiba snapped before heading out the door and toward her brother. Not looking back to see if Toshi was following or not.

�Bitch�, snarled Toshi as he followed behind her moments later.

Tashio Academy

Sesshomaru moved quickly from his mate�s office in search of Alexandros. Hoping that the Vampire was not in classes, for he always had difficulty getting the times right between Tokyo and the Academy. He was almost to Alexandros�s office when a voice stopped him in his tracks.

�Father?�

�Lucas.� Sesshomaru growled out as he turned to face his pup.

�If you�re looking for Alex, then you need to head toward his classroom.� Lucas stated with amusement.

Sesshomaru grunted walking past his son without another word. It didn�t take him long before he was standing outside the Blood Ruins door. As he was about to enter, the door came open quickly as one of the students ran out.
Walking inside he noticed Alexandros was sitting behind his desk with a look of furry.

�Alexandros!� Sesshomaru exclaimed as he moved closer to the Vampire.

�Sesshomaru,� Alex hissed watching the Inu-King come closer.

�Problems?� Sesshomaru exclaimed with a raised brow.

�You could say that. What brings you here my friend?� Alex remarked as he moved his papers to a drawer, giving his full attention to the Inu.

�Indeed, well it seems that Toshi has chosen a mate.�

Alex�s head snapped up at Sesshomaru quickly. �Really, well congratulations Sesshomaru. I know that you have been pushing the boy to find one for years.�

Sesshomaru smirked; he was going to enjoy this. �Yes, however my friend I feel the need to congratulate you as well.�

Alex blinked as confusion marked his once angered face. �Come again?�

�Toshi has chosen Demis as his mate.� Sesshomaru exclaimed waiting for the reaction of his old friend.

�You mean to tell me that my 12 year old son has been chosen as Toshi�s mate.� Alex stated as he tried to remain calm at the news.

�Yes.�

�No Sesshomaru, Demis is too young to mate. I will not have it.� Alex snarled at his friend, knowing that Toshi would not remain faithful while he waited for Demis to come of age.

Sesshomaru knew this would happen. He loved his children, but Toshi was a player. And he knew that Alex was saying no because of it. �What if I demanded it of you? Alex you can�t keep a Demon from their chosen mate it is suicide.�

�Toshi will not remain faithful. You know this as well as I. Sesshomaru I can not allow my male heir to be used and then thrown aside.� Alex hissed slamming his fists onto his desk in anger.

�We can make stipulations Alex with regards to Toshi�s claim. Demand he remain faithful and wait until Demis is an adult.� Sesshomaru pushed, as his face remained cold as ice.

�You mean that we write out the contract for them.� Alex remarked calming so what.

�Exactly, and if Toshi goes against the contract in any way, then his claim to Demis will be forfeit.�

�Alright, but I do not want Demis to know anything about this until he comes of age.� Alex stated coldly to his friend.

�Agreed. I will write out what Toshi needs to adhere to and you do so as well. Once we�ve come to an agreement, Toshi will be allowed to view the mating contract.� Sesshomaru stated passively, hoping that Alex would agree to this as well.

�Fine Sesshomaru I�ll agree to this. But I can guarantee that Kiba is going to be livid. You know that she will have her say as well. It�s only fair Sesshomaru; Demis is her brother from birth. We can�t keep this from her. For she will be the one training Demis over the next several years.� Alex remarked with frustration, this was one thing he didn�t want to deal this so soon.

�She already suspects, I�m sure she has said something to him.�

�Good. Sesshomaru, when Kiba�s contract is finished with you, I want her and Demis out of Tokyo. I don�t care where they go, but until Demis is older, I don�t want him around Toshi. Not until I can safely say that Toshi has changed his ways.� Alex demanded as he stood from his desk to head toward the door.

�She�ll be done in three months Alex. By that time, Demis will be well versed in Egyptian and they can move on. But Demis will need to be back by sixteen, so that he can sign the contract as well.� Sesshomaru announced.

Alex nodded his head in agreement, before walking out the door with Sesshomaru at his side. The next three months would be a giant headache for him. For he would not rest until Kiba and Demis were out of Japan.

Three Months Later

�What do you mean we�re leaving tomorrow?� yelled Demis at his sister, as he paced the large library.

�Just as I said little brother. Our time in Tokyo is over for the time being.� growled Kiba as she ran her fingers through her hair. Watching the frustration of her brother while he paced.

�I still have much to learn. Why must we leave?�

�Because, Father has demanded it of us. You knew that we would leave at this juncture from the beginning.� Kiba exclaimed hoping to calm Demis with those words. She did not want to explain the true reason, for she felt him still too young.

�Why don�t you just go without me? I want to stay here with Toshi and learn all he can teach me. I feel safer with him than I�ve felt with anyone, including you!� Demis roared in anger before storming out of the library and toward his rooms. Not looking back at his sister, or understanding what his words of anger had or would cause.

Kiba stood with a face of ice, as she watched her little brother walk away from her. The only sign of visual hurt was the single tear running down her cheek, from his words. Wiping the stray tear away harshly, �As you wish!� she whispered to the empty room. Then shadow walking toward Lord Sesshomaru�s study. For it seemed a change of plans were in order.

Sesshomaru glanced toward his left as Kiba walked through the shadows. And even though her face was blank, he could feel she was upset. �What happened?�

{Demis does not want to leave. He wishes to stay with Toshi and learn.} Kiba barked out trying to keep her feeling in check, as well as her magic.

{He has no choice, this was part of the agreement that this Sesshomaru made with your father.} Sesshomaru barked back with finality, watching his goddaughter knowing something else was bothering her. {Is Demis not wanting to leave what has you upset?}

{He said he does not feel safe with me. I�ve failed in my duty as his protector and it has only been half a year.} Kiba whimpered as she collapsed to her knees, covering her face in her hands.

Sesshomaru gasped not believing what he was hearing. His goddaughter was questioning herself, when it came to her brothers� protection. So without a word, he moved quickly to her side. Falling to his knees, Sesshomaru gathered her in his arms. And as he was holding her tight, he felt the silent sobs racking her body as she shook in his arms. Feeling his beast rising to the surface wanting to add comfort, and for once in many years Sesshomaru allowed it.

At that, moment gold receded to red showing that the Inu within was in control. Growling softly as he nuzzled into Kiba�s neck in a sign of comfort. Sniffing in victory as his bundle�s breathing evened out indicating she had fallen asleep. Not relinquishing his hold the Inu lifted her from the floor bridle style, only to carry her to the large sofa in the corner and take a seat with her in its arms.

/Pup� Hurt/ Inu Beast whimpered.

/Yes, she feels as though she has not protected her brother well enough./ Sesshomaru mused to his counterpart quietly.

/Why?/

/Demis stated so in a temper I�m sure./

/PROTECT� PUP� MARK� PUP� MINE!/ Inu Beast growled in demand to his counterpart, and before waiting for a response quickly plunged its fangs into Kiba�s neck. Marking her as his pup, not caring about the consequences.

Sesshomaru�s jaw dropped in shock as he watched his inner Inu bite their goddaughter, from the recesses of his mind. He couldn�t believe his beast would claim her as a pup without his agreement. Even though he would have given it regardless.

Kiba whimpered as she felt her godfather�s fangs break through her neck. What happened next shocked both Sesshomaru and his Inu. Kiba began to glow a bright gold, and when the glow was gone. In the arms of the Inu sat a black & silver Inu-pup. And when the pup�s eyes opened, they were golden, marking her as a Tashio. What made the pup unique were the shadows swirling around all four paws.

/Shadow�pup�Mine/ Came the Inu�s voice filled with pride as its red eyes watched the pup before it yawn, before closing its eyes for rest.

/Great, now how will I explain this to our mate./ Sesshomaru sighed to his Inu.

/Carefully./ The Inu stated with smugness, before handing the control back to his counterpart.

Sesshomaru blinked as the red receded back to gold. Showing that his Great Inu had retreated to its cage, leaving him to make the explanations in regards to Kiba�s new status. �Well damn,� he sighed as he cradled his new pup in his arm. Feeling the bond to a new pup snap into place. And knowing that his mate would be on her way shortly, sat back behind his desk waiting for the reaction from his mate.

He did not wait long, for as soon as he sat down the fireplace sparked green. Before his mate walked through with fire in her red eyes. Sighing before closing his eyes waiting for her rage, but when it didn�t come. He snapped his eyes open again. What came next filled him with pride, as is mate spoke.

{Where is my new puppy?} Barked Selena as she moved quickly toward her mate in demand.

Sesshomaru smirked before standing with the new pup for his mate to inspect. Selena leaned down to take in the pups scent, snapping her eyes up at her mate. As she realized the new pup was Kiba their goddaughter.

�You have a lot of explaining to do my mate!� Selena growled as she took the new Inu-pup from his arm.

�That I do, please have a seat mate.� Sesshomaru stated resuming his seat. He could already feel a headache forming as his mate sat across from him with a demanding look.

�Well it began like this��
