“Minister!” Sirius internally groaned when he heard Lily call the Minister over the second he came into view.
Cornelius Fudge glanced up from the papers in his hands, “I see you arrived, Mrs. and Mr. Potter. I must say that was fast. We only arrested him a couple hours ago.”
“That’s Lord and Lady. For your sake Michael had better be released faster that this foolish arrest. We demand that he be released into our custody.” Lily said, of course, expecting their demands to be met.
“Michael has several serious charges against him. There’s no way he’ll be released until the trial.” Fudge said calmly.
Lily looked horrified, “We won’t allow Michael to stay in such a place. Our lawyers will arrange-“
“You better discuss some things with the goblins. You see, I just received a notice from your family’s lord saying no extra service or arrangements will be insisted on for you both and Michael.” Cornelius said as he gestured for the four Aurors nearby to arrest the two Potters.
“Us? What are you talking about?! I’m the head of the Potter family! Don’t touch me!” James snapped as he and his wife jerked away from the first Auror that grabbed them. “Sirius-“
“Is suspended due to unethical decisions on the job and was supposed to be at home. Actually,” Cornelius looked Sirius over a little confused. “Wasn’t your floo supposed to be shut off?”
Sirius nodded, “The guys in charge of that have to go through the Lord of my house and because of that very sudden change there was a delay. I should go back before Remus needs to come get me because I can’t get back.” Sirius chuckled sheepishly despite the fact that his friends were violently struggling while being dragged away.
Lily’s eyes widened in horror as she came to a terrifying conclusion, “James calm down. This is all a mistake and we’ll get this fixed.” James huffed and finally allowed the Aurors to drag them away. Once they were placed in holding cells next to each other and left alone she scowled, “He told.”
“What?” James muttered and gasped as he spotted a sleeping Michael lying on a special cot wrapped in bandages just one cell over.
Lily looked furious at the state of her child as she hissed, “There’s only one reason we’d be arrested and Sirius would be suspended along with our baby getting arrested. He told everyone about that foolishness with those bludgers.” She whispered and wasn’t too far off for someone who wasn’t informed on the full list of charges. The ministry simply sent a letter saying Michael was arrested and they raced over. No details were given.
James scowled, but shook his head in confusion, “If that’s-“ Lily hushed him warning him to be quiet. “Why are they saying I’m not the Potter Lord?” He whispered, “and what was that Sirius said? Is he not the Black Lord?”
“It’s a trick. It has to be. After all, who could be the Lord if not you?” Lily pondered quietly, ignoring that little voice pointing out that Harry was the only Potter not present …

Hermione frowned as she noticed Michael, Harry and the headmistress weren’t there for breakfast, “That’s rather odd.” She said as a new person shook Albus’ hand and sat next to Professor Riddle at the staff table. After looking around she noticed Fred and George looked concerned. Fred and George both frowned, “We can’t say anything that could give details away, but Harry should be back soon.”
“Ok.” Hermione said noticing that the twins looked like they just wanted to drop the subject. She glanced at Ron who simply shook his head making it clear he didn’t know what was going on with them either. With a sigh, she went back to the Ravenclaw table.
The students finally started to settle down when Albus stood to speak, “I know many of you have noticed that a few people are missing. The headmistress had a family emergency and had to leave so I will be taking over for the time being and Mr. Noles will be assisting Professor Riddle with a new dueling club the headmistress wanted to get started.” He said gesturing to the friendly looking guy next Tom who waved to the students. “Now as for Harry and Michael Potter. You’ll be seeing it in the Daily Prophet so I will mention this now. Michael Potter was arrested.” As expected the entire student body erupted into chatter. Hagrid actually stood up and used his booming voice to tell everyone to quiet down so Albus could continue. “Yes, it’s true. No details can be given for it is an ongoing investigation. As for Harry Potter, he has a part too, but he was found to be defending his mate and that’s not criminal. When he returns everything about his absence will be explained. Please have a good breakfast and don’t worry about the case.”
“You ok?” Gellert asked his dear friend who looked tired as he sat down to eat.
“Yeah … just tired. Having all this going on and the extra duties on top of that must be affecting me.” Albus admitted.
Severus frowned, “Skip the after curfew rounds tonight and go to sleep early. We’ll handle it.”
Albus hummed and smiled playfully, “You guys hoping for that delivery too I take it?” He chuckled at the faint pink coming to his friends’ cheeks. “Right … you guys handle that and I’ll get to sleep early.”
Tom looked at Hagrid hopefully as he set some food on his plate, “How long should it take for Harry to get the titles?”
“I’m afraid I wouldn’t know. I never knew someone who personally went through the process. I suspect he should be back soon-there he is now!” Hagrid exclaimed cheerily.
The professors, of course, assumed he meant that he saw Harry coming through the door, but they didn’t see the creature. That’s when they noticed that Hagrid wasn’t looking at the door of the Great Hall. In fact, the half giant was looking at the window where the owls come through to deliver mail. Since he flew into the Great Hall it was non stop questions and only a few were about Michael. The Daily Prophet had only a statement saying the Potter family was arrested, but nothing else. Other than the mention of his lordships there was only a date for a trial, which was a month from now. The lack of details didn’t make the students of Hogwarts curious about his brother at all though! They all wanted to know about the creature they have unknowingly been attending classes with.
