Author�s notes: Ok this is my very first fan fiction, so if I make mistakes on the characters I�m sorry. This story of Harry Potter follows the original in some ways but I put a lot of my own stuff in it too.

Takes place after the battle with Voldemort, Harry missing Voldemort is destroyed. This story is yaoi or will be in up coming chapters, if you don't agree with it don't read it. The pairing is pretty obvious.

Chapter 22 � Hermione's Turmoil

Hermione laid still quietly watching the scene next to her; this was the second time she had secretly watched as her friend was embraced. The first time still leaving her with a sense of confusion and jealously.

She watched as Malfoy knelt down bringing his arms around Harry, pulling the sobbing boy to his chest. Harry stiffened at the contact, but Hermione could still make out the muffled crying from where his face; still covered by his hands, was pressed to Malfoy's chest.

Malfoy's eyes were closed; his head bent forward resting on top of Harry's hair. Hermione knew; even though she couldn't see them the platinum blonde's eyes most have been completely hazed over in sliver. Her eyes widened when tendrils of silver magic started to emerge from Malfoy then slowly began to encompass Harry.

She opened her mouth to warn Harry; but her mind hesitated to provide her with words. Instead it feed her images of Ron embracing Harry, Ron kissing Harry, Ron making lov- 'No!' She mental screamed, in an attempt to get rid of the thoughts. 'He wouldn't do that�he wouldn't�' She continued to argue with herself.

'Then why was he so desperate to find Harry?' She heard the question in her thoughts; asked in a voice that sounded strangely a lot like her own.

'Because Harry's our friend, I wanted to find him too." She quickly replied to the question.

"Why was Ron going to run away with Harry and leave you behind then?" The voice asked another question sounding more vicious and spiteful this time.

Hermione was at lose for words, it was true Ron had demand that he would be leaving with Harry; without a second thought as to how she would feel if he were to disappear with their dark haired friend. She turned her head to fight back tears at how angry she was at the red headed boy, just in time to see the silver tendrils had almost completely surrounded Harry.

'Stay quiet! Let Malfoy take him! Ron will be mine!" The voice scream in her mind demanding back her attention.

"No�" She whispered so low it was barely audible as she parted her lips releasing the lock her teeth had on the lower one; which as now bleeding down her chin from the gash.

"Harry is like my brother�he protected me so many times, risked his life�" Her eyes widened once more, as a new memory popped into her mind, muffling the screams of the vicious voice. In the garden, when she was frozen in fear as all hell was breaking out around her�that voice�those words� "Harry�"

She looked up her eyes filled with determination, tears starting to run down her checks. She sat up fully turning to the two veela. "Harry, you need to move!"
