                                                                                                                                  -Coming Home-
Only two months after saving Matthew from his bullies in the Muggle world, Harry Potter walked into his home with five year old Matthew in his arms, his blue eyes flying over everything, taking in his new home.
“Wow this place is so big.” He said, awed as he looked up at the arched ceilings.
“You'll be surprised to find it's not as big as other houses.” Harry said with a chuckle, thinking of some of the mansions in the Wizarding world.
“I'm scared of getting lost.” Matthew admitted, hiding his face in Harry's shoulder.
“Don't worry I still get turned around sometimes.” Harry said, feeling his face flush a bit. “But I have this neat little item that will help you get around.”
“Okay.”
“So are you ready to go and see your room since you've already seen the outside and the horses?”
“Yeah!” Matthew said excitedly.
“Now there aren't a lot of decorations on the wall because I wanted you to be able to decorate your room. We'll take a trip to some stores later after your nap and you can pick out anything you like.”
Yawning, Matthew rubbed at his eyes as if the word nap made him tired.
Chuckling, Harry headed up the stairs, trying not to bounce Matt around too much.
“This hall on the left here goes to the bedrooms and the bathroom. The other wing goes to the second floor of the library and there's a surprise room I have set up for you that you'll see later okay?”
“The library is two floors?” Matthew asked.
“Yep. There aren't a lot of books yet, but maybe we can have one floor of it set up as your own little library. We can get you a bunch of books and a little table and chairs you can read in if you'd like.”
“Yeah that would be cool.” Matthew said even as his eyes drooped.
Chuckling, Harry headed down the hall and opened an oak door with a shimmering name scrawled across it.
“This is your room here.” Harry whispered to the boy.
“I like blue.” Matthew said smiling at the walls that were slowly changing between shades of blue.
“I'm glad. If you ever want a different color we can change it.” Harry reminded the boy.
“Okay, but I like this.” Matthew said with another yawn.
“Alright time for my little Wizard to take his nap before we go exploring some more.” Harry said with a fond smile as he pulled out his wand and used it to pull the blankets down so he could settle Matt down.
Once the boy was settled, he used his wand to change his clothes into comfortable pajamas. Pulling the blanket up over him, Harry ran his finger's through Matt's hair.
“Would you like a story before your nap?” Harry quietly asked.
“No thank you...would you stay in here with me until I fall asleep though?” Matthew asked shyly.
“Of course buddy. Don't be afraid to ask.” Harry said, moving to sit on the bed.
“Daddy?” Matthew called, forcing his eyes open.
“I'm here.” Harry said with a dopy grin at being called daddy, recalling the first time Matthew had called him that.
“I'm glad you found me daddy.”
Reaching over, Harry tucked Matthew in even more and pressed a kiss to his son's forehead. “I'm glad I did too, buddy. I'm glad I did too.”
