Hey Hey guys! Me again! Sorry it took a little longer to post this chapter. I have decided to let me sister in law read through it after I type it because I have a tendency to change things as I am typing. She just got it back to me so here it is.
Just a little bit about this chapter, it starts off collectively with both Hermione and Draco, then goes to Hermione and it ends with Draco. There was a lot that I was trying to fit into this chapter so it is a little bit longer. I'm going to try to make the chapters just a little bit longer from here on out.
As always, response to reviews are at the bottom and please let me know what you think.
“I’m exhausted.” Hermione said as she toppled onto her bed.
When everyone got back to the Common Room, it was about nine thirty. Hermione had summoned the remaining letters to her, and everyone helped her go through them. After opening all of them, with no avail, everyone sat around the fire and continued to chat about the events since the ball.
It was now after midnight and she and Draco were in her room.
“I know the feeling,” Draco said sitting on the edge of the bed. “I forgot how stressful it was to carry these problems by myself.”
“Technically, it’s your own fault.”
Draco sighed and lay back as well. “I know. I really shouldn’t have acted the way that I did. I think it’s the only time since we’ve been together that I acted on my own.”
Hermione looked at Draco. “I think so, too,” she said through a yawn.
Draco chuckled a little. “You look as if you are already asleep. Would you like me to go?”
Hermione rolled to her side and smiled. “Not yet. I actually wanted to know if…you might be willing…to umm…try something your mother suggested.”
Draco looked at Hermione as she bit her bottom lip nervously. He rolled to his side and propped himself up on his elbow, concern written all over his face.
“It’s something she and your father did at night. Well, before Voldemort came along anyway. She said it really helped with their communication and they never went to bed angry at each other.”
Draco still looked skeptical, but asked “what was it?”
“They talked. One would start, then before the other took their turn, they had to repeat, well summarize, what the other said. She said sometimes it would take hours, but it really worked.”
Draco smiled at her. “I think that’s a wonderful idea. What would you like to talk about?”
“Question ten – do you regret being with me because of everything that has happened?”
“Of course not! There is nothing to have regrets about. All of this, except the death threat, was to be expected. We knew that not everyone was going to accept us as a couple right away.” Draco pulled her close and kissed her forehead. “My turn. When did you first realize you loved me?”
Hermione smiled. “The realization hit me when we were in the Prefects bathroom. That’s when I knew that I could get in trouble with you and you’d still be here. I could laugh and have fun with you, and you let me take care of you. Not to mention the fact that you’ve been taking care of me since we’ve been together. You’ve never been pushy to get me to do things that I’m not comfortable with. You’re very patient.”
Draco smiled. When he looked at her face, he noticed that her eyes were closed. “You’re very honest when you’re sleepy.”
“I know.”
Draco looked around the room. He already had it memorized, but didn’t want to leave just yet. “What’s that vial on your desk?” It was the only thing different.
“My memories of my parents.” Hermione sat up and looked at it. “After our fight at the lake, I was yearning to talk to me mum so I pulled all my memories of them. I was planning on sending them off, but Ginny and Pansy showed up before I did. I felt a little better after they left so the memories have just been sitting there. I’m still unsure about sending them off.” Draco starred at the vial for some time, until he felt Hermione get up. “I’m going to get dressed for bed, but can you stay until I fall asleep and then go to your room?”
Better than nothing. “Of course.”
Hermione smiled and started unbuttoning her school shirt as she kicked off her shoes. Draco watched her every move. Down, boy, down. I know she’s a tease but you can’t have her yet. Hermione turned to her dresser as her skirt fell to the floor.
“Is this one of those times that I can look but not touch because of the fight I caused at the lake?” Draco asked as Hermione turned around in just her bra and panties.
Hermione smiled. “It’s all I could think of to punish you without causing you physical harm.” Hermione put her night shirt, that happened to be Draco’s shirt, on the bed and reached behind her to undo her bra, all while looking at Draco. She watched his eyes follow it to the floor than focus on her breasts. Hermione reached for her shirt and saw the bulge in Draco’s pants. She smiled as she pulled her shirt over her head, than climbed into bed and turned the lights off.
Draco sighed in frustration and moved around until he was next to Hermione again.
“Goodnight, Draco. I love you,” she said as she snuggled close.
“Goodnight, sweetheart. I love you, too.” Draco listened to the sound of her breathing and thought about everything that happened that night. After a while, he eyes landed on the memories again. He wished there was something he could do to help Hermione decide what she should do.
I got it. But I’m going to need help. Someone they might know. I need to talk to Harry. Draco stayed for just a few more minutes, just to make sure Hermione was asleep, before heading to his room with a plan.
First things first though. He undressed completely before going to his bathroom, stocking himself as he went. He thought back to Hermione undressing in front of him and thinking about how she said she fell in love with him. All it took was five minutes before he emptied himself.
He cleaned up and put on clean boxers, as he thought about the fact that everything Hermione said about falling in love with him was the exact same as how fell in love with her. Draco laid down, his head filled with Hermione, and fell into an easy sleep.

“No, no, no. Please, no!” Hermione looked around the drawing room. However, everything was different. Well, the people were, at least.
Instead of being on the ground with Bellatrix carving into her arm, she was being held back by a hooded person. She quickly surveyed the rest of her surroundings as a voice across the room started to speak.
“You should have let her be. You should have listened to the warnings.” The voice was speaking to Draco, who was kneeling on the stone with ropes around his wrists, pulling his arms out to his sides. His face was swollen, black and blue, and bleeding.
“Leave him alone!” Hermione heard Narcissa scream. She was trying hard to crawl to her son.
“Quiet woman!” Another covered person said. The voice was that of a male, who, to Hermione, sounded very familiar.
Narcissa continued to attempt her crawl so the man walked over and kicked her in the stomach. As Narcissa took the blow, she grabbed the hem of the cloak, revealing the man under it.
Blonde hair became visible as Lucius spoke again. “You’ve gone soft since the war.”
“Father?” Draco asked. “It was you?”
“I’m so disappointed in you Draco.” Lucius said walking over to him and the first cloaked man. “I raised you better than this. Marrying below your status. Tut, tut.” SMACK! The noise sounded off the walls, causing Hermione to wince.
“Wait!” She cried out. “It was me! I forced him to stay with me!” All eyes were on her.
“Very well.” Lucius said. He looked back to the other person and nodded his head once.
Hermione followed his gaze and saw that it was Patrick. Knowing what was going to happen next, Hermione broke loose from the person’s grip.
Hermione started running to Draco, shouting “NNNOOO!!!” the whole way. She was only halfway across the room when a green light filled the room, startling her awake.
Hermione sat up, drenched in a cold sweat. That felt to real, she thought. She grabbed her wand and looked at the time; 4:08 am.
Hermione got up, grudgingly, pulled on some yoga pants, grabbed her Ancient Runes book and headed downstairs. The Common Room was completely empty. She made herself a cup of tea and sat down next to the fire. She starred into it for a while, thinking about her dream, before opening her textbook and studying.

Draco’s alarm sounded at eight Saturday morning. As he rolled over to turn it off so he could sleep some more, he remembered why he set it in the first place and scrambled out of bed.
Ten minutes later, he was dressed and making his way downstairs, determined to catch Harry before Hermione woke up. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he almost walked right into Ron.
“Morning,” he said as he made his way past him. When Ron didn’t answer, Draco looked at him closer. “What’s up?”
Ron was starring at the couches. “I woke up this morning to an empty bed. I’m not sure when Daphne woke up, but I came downstairs to find her, and this is what I came across.”
Draco looked toward the couches where Ron was pointing, and saw Daphne asleep on one couch and Hermione asleep on the other. “I wonder when Hermione came down here.”
“Hey guy. What are you looking at?” Harry asked, almost running into them.
Hermione and Daphne are both asleep on the couches,” Ron said turning to him. “Where are you off to?”
“To get breakfast for Ginny. I want to surprise her since it’s been a long couple of days.”
“Mind if I join you? There’s something I was hoping to talk to you about.” Draco asked. “And you, too, Ron.”
Draco saw Harry and Ron look at each other before nodding. “Sure.” Harry said. He lead the way out of the Common Room. “What do you want to talk about?”
Draco hesitated for a moment. It’s now or never. “So…you know how you told me not to buy her anything?”
“Yes,” Harry answered, still eying him questioningly.
“You’re not going to, are you?” Ron asked from Draco’s left.
“No, but I want to make this up to her somehow. Last night I had an idea and I was hoping you two could help me.”
“How farfetched is this idea?” Ron asked as they passed the Great Hall.
“Well, last night we were in her room talking and I noticed a small vial of blue. She told me it was memories of her parents because she felt like she didn’t have anyone to talk to – well a mother really – and it really made her miss her parents. So I wa-“
“Was wondering if it would be a good idea to go get them and bring them back with our help.” Harry stated from a few feet back. Draco had been too busy looking at the ground that he didn’t notice Harry and Ron stopped walking.
“Well,” Draco said rubbing the back of his neck. “Look, I know it sounds crazy, but I also know Hermione will be much happier with her parents in her life again. Plus, I’m sure that no matter how much she wants them back, she’s not going to do anything about it for a long time.”
Draco watched as Harry and Ron exchanged a silent conversation.
“I know it’s farfetched, but I thought, with your help, it would be a good Christmas present.”
“When were you planning on doing this?” Harry asked Draco while still looking at Ron.
“Well, I was going to get those memories somehow, without her noticing, right before break, since we have a few extra weeks, and go where her parents are at the start of break and bring them back in time for my mother’s Christmas ball on Christmas night.” Draco replied with a smile.
“I’m guessing Hermione is not to know about this?” Ron asked.
“I would prefer it if she didn’t.”
Harry looked at Ron for a second longer before turning to Draco. “I’ll arrange transport with the Ministry. We should be able to leave the first day of break.”
Draco smiled bigger. “Thank you.”
“Yeah, yeah. Let’s go get some food now.” Ron led the rest of the way to the kitchens.
LadyShire: LOL I'm glad they made up to. This fight definitely brought them closer together, but there is still a lot more that is going to happen starting next chapter. As for who sent the letter, I honestly haven't decided yet LOL. But i'm sure the next few chapters will help me LOL. They may not get married in this story but if they don't I promise to write a sequel where they do.
