Title: What I Did During The Summer

Rating: R

Summary: Hermione is due to start her seventh year at
Hogwarts. However, she has a little surprise for Harry and Ron, one that will
test their friendship.

Chapter 23: Hermione�s Embarrassment And
Meeting Harry�s Mother

�� Hermione
gasped as Severus entered her, feeling the incredible sensation when they joined.
They had jumped into bed the moment Remus had left and now that they were alone,
she intended on enjoying this moment until her husband had to return to his home
to keep from being noticed by Dumbledore.

�� Severus
captured her mouth and Hermione felt him start thrusting in her. She met his
thrusts with several of her own. He broke off the kiss and Hermione whimpered.

�� Faster,� she begged.

�� Are you sure? The baby!�

Hermione smiled warmly at him. She loved when he cared about
the baby before his own needs.

�� Don�t worry, she�ll
be fine,� Hermione said.

He let out a sigh of relief and started to thrust in faster,
making Hermione scream with pleasure.

�� Both Remus
and Lily entered the shop, Lily�s face covered so that she wouldn�t get any
attention. He closed the door and then they both heard Hermione scream. Both of
them bolted for the source of the noise and when Remus opened the door it was
Lily�s turn to scream.

�� MY EYES!� she
yelled.

Remus slammed the door shut. A few moments later they both
burst out laughing.

�� Never in all my
life have I been that embarrassed,� Hermione said as she put her clothes on.

Severus muttered something that felt like a threat.

�� They both
headed downstairs and Severus was about to say something when he saw Lily. His
mouth dropped open in surprise and Hermione stared. She had only seen this face
once and that had been when Harry had showed her a photo of her.

�� How is this bloody
possible?� Severus asked. �She didn�t go through the veil.�

Remus sighed.

�� I don�t understand
it either,� Remus said. �But that�s where she appeared.�

Hermione stared at her husband, then to Remus, and then to
Lily.

�� Can I say
something,� Hermione asked.

Both men looked at her.

�� I think that death
is all connected and the veil wanted her to appear back in this world through
it,� Hermione explained.

�� I think you might
be right, Hermione,� Remus said.

Severus snorted at that.

�� Remus, we need to
talk,� he said.

Remus nodded and then was led away.

�� While the
men were talking Hermione made Lily a nice cup of tea and put cookies on a
plate. As both witches ate Lily wanted to know what had happen to her son.

�� Well he saved the
Wizarding world and is a wonderful person, but his behavior leaves a lot to be
desired.�

Lily looked at her.

�� What do you mean?�

Hermione bit her lip, wondering how she was going to explain
this to her.

�� Your son has said
not so nice things about me and Severus marriage, along with my daughter. He
fails to realize that all the signs were there before the end of the war and he
was so busy with whatever he was doing, some to the point and some not, and
didn�t even notice. He tried to get me and Ron together because he thought that
we would make a great couple. I hate to break it to him but there is only one
person for another and I and Severus fit together like a glove. We just work well
together and that�s how I want it to continue.�

Lily said nothing for a few moments and then she cleared her
throat.

�� There are a lot of
things that I don�t understand, since I was out, but I need to get some of the
facts from my son before I make any decisions about what I think is far and was
isn�t. I�m delighted, of course, that Severus has found someone to spend the rest
of his life with and I�m happy that he�s finally going to have a family. When is
she due?�

��Cerridwen
is due in April,� Hermione answered, touching her swollen stomach.

Lily seemed surprised.

��You named
her after the goddess that stirred her cauldron of knowledge for a year and a day.�

Hermione nodded.

��Well I�m
sure that she�ll make a fine witch,� Lily said. �Now I need to see Remus and have
him take me to Hogwarts. I need to start looking into this now. If I find that he
has done things that I wouldn�t approve of, then I shall know the whole story.�

She got up and quickly left.

��How in
the world are you going to watch over her?� Severus asked Remus while the two witches
were having tea and cookies.

��I�ll have
no problem with that,� Remus said.

Severus looked at him, wondering what the real story was. However,
he knew it would come out in time.

��Look, I
need to go,� Remus said. �Let me know how things are going with Hermione.�

Severus nodded and then suddenly he remembered why he was going
to yell at him.

��Remus,�
he said.

The man turned him.

��What.�

��Knock next
time,� he warned.

Remus grinned at him.

��I thought
the whole thing was rather funny.�

Severus glared at him.

��Remus,�
Lily said when they stepped out.

��Yes.�

��I was wondering
about what is going on with my son and Severus wife?� she asked. �You must know
the whole thing.�

Remus sighed and then they moved forward.

��All I�m
going to tell you is that Harry doesn�t approve of who Severus is married to,� he
told her. �He has always hated Severus and Severus has always hated him. However,
Harry behavior does leave a lot to be desired and I�ve tried to tell him to let
it go, but he won�t. Ron tried to rape Hermione once and even though Harry knows
about it, he wouldn�t even think that what Ron had tried to do was wrong.�

Lily bit her lip. All this stuff couldn�t be true. Not about
her son.

��I need
to talk to him,� Lily said.

Remus looked at her.

��And why?�

��Because
I want to hear Harry�s side of the story,� she said. �I can�t even imagine my son
condoning anyone trying to rape another person.�

Remus said nothing.

Note: Sorry about the delay, but I had all this stuff to do and
I didn�t get a chance to write anymore chapters, just update on the Mudblood and
the Werewolf since I�ve got so much of it done. Next chapter: Lily meets her son
again and finds out the whole truth.
