When everyone started getting up and leaving to head back to their common rooms because dinner was over, Draco was beyond relieved. He could feel the smugness radiating off of Blaise, and he could only hold back clocking Blaise in the face for so long. He knew that Blaise was trying to get under his skin, he wasn't an idiot. The two of them had been best friends since they could walk, he knew Blaise better than anybody. The thing that pissed Draco off the most was that it was actually working. Blaise loved to try and do things to piss Draco off, and usually Draco was indifferent.
"Where are you headed in such a hurry?" Blaise asked, his smirk still plastered on his face.
Draco pictured himself punching the smirk off of his face and smiled at the thought.
"Drake?" Blaise asked waving his hand in front of his friends face.
"What?" Draco snapped, annoyed at being interrupted in the middle of his day dream.
"Where you headed?" Blaise asked again.
"I'm heading back to my common room" Draco stated.
"Perfect, I'm actually heading there myself to see Hermione. I'll walk with you" Blaise said standing up.
"I can walk myself" Draco snapped.
"I know that mate. But, since we're both heading in the same direction, we mind as well keep each other company. It will make the trip less boring" Blaise said starting to walk ahead.
Draco scowled at his friends retreating figure, but followed non-the-less.

"So what are your plans for tonight Hermione?" Ginny asked.
"I'm actually not entirely sure yet.." Hermione admitted.
"Great, let's have a girls night!" Ginny squealed excitedly.
"Ughhh.." Ron groaned.
"What?" Ginny asked.
"Girls nights are so boring. All you do is gossip and paint each others nails and do whatever it is girls do" Ron stated.
"You're just jealous" Ginny said smiling.
"Am not!" Ron argued.
"Before you two start brawling in the middle of the hallway, I think it would be best to change the subject.." Harry said playfully.
"You're just afraid that I'll kick Ron's ass" Ginny said smirking.
"Oi! You can't kick my ass" Ron said sticking up for himself.
"That's questionable.." Harry stated.
"Hey!" Ron shouted.
"What are you guys up to tonight?" Hermione asked.
"Honestly? Nothing. That's why we were asking you guys what you were doing. We were thinking of getting a good friendly game of Truth or Dare started. We haven't played that for a while" Harry said.
"Why don't you guys all come to Hermione's dorm and we will play there?" Ginny asked excitedly.
"Is that alright with you Hermione?" Harry asked looking over at her.
"Sure sounds good to me" Hermione said smiling.
"Alright, me and Ron will go and round some of the Gryffindors, and we will be there in a bit!" Harry said taking off in the other direction.
"See you soon Hermione, Ginny" Ron said taking off with Harry.
"Well, this is going to be interesting" Ginny said smirking.
"Why's that?" Hermione asked as her and Ginny started walking towards her dorm room.
"You do remember who you share a dorm with right? All those Gryffindors in the same room as Malfoy? Things could get ugly" Ginny stated.
"Oh my gosh! I totally forgot about that" Hermione said smacking her forehead.
"I don't think Malfoy is stupid enough to try and start something in a room full of Gryffindors, unless he's looking for a death wish. I wouldn't worry too much about it" Ginny said comforting her.
Hermione said the password to her dorm, and the two of them walked in and saw Blaise and Draco sitting together, awkwardly, on the couches in the common room.
"Blaise? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked as soon as she spotted him.
Blaise and Draco's eyes both snapped up to her direction at the sound of her voice.
"Hey Hermione, I was waiting for you" Blaise said standing up and engulfing her in a hug.
Draco narrowed his eyes and said "Get a room"
"You offering yours up?" Blaise asked turning and winking at him.
"Fuck off" Draco snapped.
Blaise laughed and said "Cheer up mate, it's Friday!"
"Whatever" Draco said.
"Oh, just so you both know, Harry and Ron are going to be here any second with a bunch of our…"
Ginny was interrupted by a knock on the door, which Hermione answered.
"Truth or Dare time!" Seamus yelled entering the room.
"Truth or dare?" Blaise asked raising an eyebrow.
"It's sort of a pass time for us Gryffindors" Hermione said smiling.
The Gryffindors became quiet once the realized who was currently in the room with them.
"Ummm.. Hermione? Are you sure it's a good idea we play here?" Ron asked looking pointedly at Draco and Blaise.
"Of course. There isn't going to be any problems is there?" Hermione asked looking at both Blaise and Draco.
Blaise held his arms up in defence.
Hermione turned and looked at Draco.
"I'm not a complete idiot Granger. I'm not going to pick a fight when there's a room full of people who want to kick my ass." Draco drawled lazily.
"Great, then we're not going to have a problem" Hermione said.
She conjured up some more couches and said "Let the games begin!"
Draco stood up and started making his way towards his room.
"Draco? You not going to play?" Hermione asked.
"No offense, but playing a game of Truth or Dare with a bunch of Gryffindors isn't under my definition of fun. I think I'm going to pass" Draco stated.
"Let him leave Hermione, he's too scared to play with the big leagues" Ron said loudly.
"What was that Weasley?" Draco asked turning and looking directly at him.
"You heard me Malfoy" Ron said smoothly.
Draco made his way back over to the couch and sat down on the empty couch.
All the Gryffindors stood there staring.
"Well are we going to play this bloody game or not?" Draco asked impatiently.
The Gryffindors all took their seats, on the couches opposite from Draco. Hermione sat beside Draco, with Blaise on the other side of her, and Ginny on the other side of him.
"Who wants to start?" Seamus asked looking around the circle.
"I will" Ginny said.
"Ron, truth or dare?"
"Dare" Ron said.
"Tomorrow in class, I dare you to confess your undying love for Professor Snape" Ginny said smirking.
Everyone in the room broke out into laughter.
Ron narrowed his eyes dangerously at his sister. He did not want to do this dare whatsoever, especially in front of his classmates. But, he knew if he didn't he would never hear the end of it, and, he didn't want to look soft in front of Malfoy. He couldn't believe that Hermione invited the two Slytherins to play this game with them.
"Fine I'll do it" Ron hissed.
Harry slapped Ron on the back and said "Better you than me!"
"Shut up Harry" Ron said shoving him.
"It's your turn Ron" Ginny said impatiently.
"Oh! Right. Ummm.. Malfoy. Truth or dare" Ron said looking over at Draco a mischievous look on his face.
"Dare" Draco drawled lazily.
"I dare you to go to the kitchens in nothing but your boxers, get a tub of ice cream, and take it to McGonagall and ask her if she is in the mood to have an ice cream date" Ron said bursting out laughing.
"What the fuck Weasley I am not going to McGonagall in my boxers" Draco snapped.
"You scared Malfoy?" Ron asked challengingly.
"Of course not" Draco snapped standing up, stripping down to his boxers.
Draco noticed that everyone was staring at him.
"I know I'm sexy and all, but I find it extremely uncomfortable that all you guys are staring at me also. I don't swing that way" Draco said cockily.
"Oh shove it up your ass Drake and go do your damn dare" Blaise said smirking.
Draco turned towards Blaise, bowed, and said "As you wish Princess."
"Wait!" Ron shouted.
"What Weasley?" Draco asked annoyed.
"How are we going to know if you actually did the dare or not?" Ron asked.
"Hermione will go with him" Ginny stated.
Blaise looked over at Ginny with an eyebrow raised, leaned in and said under his breath "Trying to make sure the two of them have alone time are we?"
"Whatever helps them out" Ginny whispered back.
Harry had watched the exchange between Blaise and Ginny, and did not like how comfortable the two of them seemed to be with one another. But, he didn't say anything, just kept his eyes on the two of them.
"Harry I'm just going to grab something from your room I need to borrow it, I will return it once I'm done okay?" Hermione asked.
Harry nodded, knowing that it was his invisibility cloak that she wanted to borrow.
"Go on you two!" Ginny said getting up and shoving the two of them out the door.
As soon as they were out in the hallway, Ginny shut the door behind them, but not before sending Hermione a wink.
Hermione and Draco walked awkwardly together, neither one knowing what to say. The last time they had been alone and so close together had been when Draco had 'accidentally' kissed Hermione and then ran away afterwards. He had been ignoring her existence ever since. Hermione had so many things she wanted to say to him, and questions that she wanted to ask, but she knew better than to do that. Plus, she was trying to play it all cool.
Hermione looked over at Draco and noticed that he was looking at her. She sent him a small smile, and then looked away, not wanting to make things even more awkward between them then they already were.
Draco cleared his throat.
"So, this is what you Gryffindors like to do for fun? Make each other do crazy things in order to embarrass one another?"
"It's a source of entertainment, and being around friends and laughing and joking around relieves stress. Sometimes it's nice to just fool around and have some fun sometimes" Hermione said.
"I can't exactly say that I am having a whole lot of fun" Draco said waving his hands showing off his half naked body.
"True" Hermione said with a small smile.
They rounded a corner and saw Filch and his cat turning down the hallway that they were currently walking.
"Shit!" Draco hissed. "It's Flich and that damn bloody cat"
"Calm down Draco, we're Head Boy and Girl, we can easily come up with an excuse as to why we are out past curfew. Perks of the job" Hermione stated.
"Maybe so, but how are we going to explain about me being half naked walking around the school in my boxers? We can't exactly tell him that we have a whole room full of students in our dorm after hours playing a game of truth or dare unless all of us want to get into trouble" Draco said back quietly.
Hermione grabbed Harry's invisibility cloak out from underneath her robes and grabbed onto Draco's arm pulling him towards her.
"What the!" Draco started, but Hermione cut him off by putting her hand over his mouth as she threw the clock over top of the two of them.
Just as they became invisible, Filch turned around the corner.
Because Hermione had grabbed him so suddenly, Draco had not paid attention to his surroundings, but as he started to register what was going on, and that Hermione had just saved them from getting caught, he also noticed that he currently had Hermione pinned against the wall. She caught on at the same time as he did, because her face went bright red. He could tell that she wanted to say something, but couldn't because Filch was pretty much right beside them.
Draco was staring down into Hermione's eyes and noticed that within the brown, there were golden streaks. He had never been close enough to notice, and found himself watching as the light hit her eyes and really lit up the gold. He could feel himself admiring this girls features and he could tell by the look on Hermione's face that he was staring at her and examining her like an idiot, but he didn't care.
He lifted his right hand, and ran his thumb smoothly across her cheek, feeling how soft her skin was, and watched as the blush rose to her cheeks as he touched her. He felt Hermione shiver under his touch, and it ignited a fire in him that he couldn't control. He reached up and grabbed her hand that was still covering his mouth, and put it down beside her waist. He put his hands on either side of her head and leaned in and kissed her hungrily, pushing his body up against hers so she was pinned completely against the wall. Hermione responded immediately, and Draco felt her put her hands into his hair and tug on in gently as she threw herself into the kiss. Draco slid his tongue into her mouth, and felt hers respond hungrily. He dropped his hands from her face, and picked her up, and she wrapped her legs around his waist responsively. He pushed his weight against to hold her into place. He was losing himself into this kiss, and into this girl, and he didn't care. She ignited a fire inside of him, made him feel things he didn't even know existed, and he liked it. After a few minutes, Draco slowly pulled back, and unwrapped her legs from around him gently, placing them back onto the floor. He placed both hands on either side of her head, and let out a deep sigh. He opened his eyes and saw Hermione staring at him, a whirlpool of emotions all over her face and in her eyes. He knew that what he was doing to this girl wasn't fair, one minute kissing her with all the passion that he had, and the next minute running away and ignoring her existence, but he didn't know what else to do. The feelings he was experiencing scared the crap out of him. He closed his eyes again and leaned his forehead against hers.
"Draco?" Hermione said softly.
Draco opened his eyes and pulled his forehead away from hers.
"What's going on?" Hermione asked confused.
Draco let out a deep sigh and said "I honestly don't know."
Hermione placed her right hand on the side of his face and made him look at her. "Draco it's okay. You don't have to be scared."
Draco let out a low chuckle and said "Malfoy's don't get scared."
Hermione smiled at him and ran her hand across his smooth face. She was surprised when Draco leaned into her touch.
"What are we going to do? What am I supposed to do?" Hermione asked. "Are you just going to run away and ignore my existence and pretend like this never happened again? Because guess what Draco, it did happen, and more than once. You can't run away from this, not this time. I won't let you."
Draco pulled back from her hand and looked directly at her and said "I don't think I can run away anymore even if I wanted to. Something about you keeps pulling me back. I tried fighting it and denying it, but it only made it all worse. I don't know what I'm doing, this is all knew to me. So I am bound to mess things up every now and then. I don't know how to act when it comes to being with someone and actually having feelings and caring about someone. So you have to be patient with me."
"I'm not expecting you to be perfect Draco, hell, I'm not even perfect regardless of how hard I try. I will help you along the way. This is knew to me also, so we will work on this together" Hermione said smiling, her heart feeling like it was going to explode out of her chest. She could not believe what was happening. She felt like she was in another world.
Draco nodded his head in understanding and agreement.
