Pairing: Yaoi M/M, Harem – top Harry x bottom de-aged Severus / Tom / Lucius
Last Time:
“It’s mmmworth mmit. The-mm potiommm willmm makemm mme strommmg.” Ron garbled through food he stuffed in his mouth. He sent the confused witch a smug look, never noticing the fox, who just finished getting Lucius safely back to through Severus’ floo, climbing into Harry’s pocket ...

Rabastan sighed as he sat in his usual chair that faced his patient, “I’m happy you didn’t bite me today. Thank you, Sirius.” He said casually and smiled despite getting a snort from the big black dog.
Some people might think that weeks have gone by and Sirius hasn’t shown any progress, but that wasn’t what Rabastan was seeing. Just seeing the healthier canine form meant that the meals and potions were doing their part and that alone should help. In fact, you could see the drastic difference in the eyes of the dog. What were once crazed and frantic eyes were now very alert and focused.
“You’re an Auror so you know how to protect your mind. That part of your training is well known so I don’t know what is keeping you from talking to me. It’s not like I can use magic to get in your head and we never tried to hurt you.” Rabastan commented, trying a more blunt approach to get through the stubborn wizard. “You know, Hogwarts is trying something new for the seventh year students. Apparently, Dumbledore is incorporating the Forbidden Forest in the lesson. They all, especially Harry, have to go in the forest and take note of what they see. I believe that the first walk through starts tomorrow.”
The seemingly casual conversation made Sirius react. The black dog’s eyes widened and quickly narrowed threateningly as he stood. While Rabastan could tell that the barks from the dog were some sort of angered rant he didn’t react.
“Is there something wrong with that?” Rabastan asked calmly, but sighed as he only got more pissed off barks. “Not sure what you expect me to get from that when I don’t understand you.”
In an instant a dog lunged forward, but it was a full human wizard that knocked Rabastan out of the chair and to the floor. “Why the fuck are you not watching out for Harry?! I knew you sick Death Eaters were going to do something to Harry!” He screamed while trying to strangle Rabastan.
Rabastan shot his left hand out and grabbed the crazed wizard by the collar to force him back. “We were never the ones Harry had to fear.” He said calmly, feeling excited on the inside. Not only did he finally drag Sirius out of that canine safe space, but he finally got Sirius to really look at the beautiful whimsical pentagram vine symbol on his left forearm. In fact, Sirius was currently staring right at it in confusion. “Can you really say the same?”
Sirius reluctantly ripped his eyes away from the strange, but very clearly not a dark mark, symbol and glared at the mind healer. “What the hell does that mean? He’s my godson! I’d never hurt him!”
“Do you honestly believe that?” Rabastan asked and prepared to say some blunt, albeit carefully worded, truths. “It was Narcissa who went through Gringotts to legally save him from the abusive relatives he was dumped with because you ran after Peter-“
“That bastard is a Death Eat-“ Sirius gasped as he was easily flipped onto his back and was forced to see the strange mark again.
“Are you a Death Eater?” Rabastan asked, making sure Sirius could see the mark. “You were imprisoned for years because everyone thought you were, but you seem to think you can’t make the same mistake. Peter happens to have the exact mark I have.” He commented as he shoved the wizard off.
Even when his butt hit the floor Sirius’ eyes returned to the mark and seemed to be mentally scrambling for an answer, “He was there!” He suddenly snapped and tried to get up, but the mind healer was faster and was already crouching casually over him.
“Weren’t you there too?” Rabastan asked calmly.
Sirius scowled, “He betrayed James and Lily!”
“Gringotts helped clear our names and Peter was included. We didn’t do the crimes we were accused of and Peter wasn’t the secret keeper for the Potters. He never hurt Harry, but you are a different story.” Rabastan said and caught the wizard’s wrist before the punch from a furious Sirius landed.
“I never hurt him.” Sirius growled suspiciously like a dog.
Rabastan feared his next step might cause more harm than good and he’d slip back into his canine form, but it could be the best way to get through to the stubborn wizard. “You handed Harry over to hunt Peter. You are the one his parents trusted with his life and you practically gave him over-“
“It wasn’t some random person! It was just Hagrid coming to get Harry on Dumbledore’s orders.” Sirius scowled, but he started questioning his response when his mind healer, who was only going to say ‘abusive muggles’, looked stunned.
Of course, why wouldn’t Rabastan react that way? How Harry got to the Dursleys was always assumed to be just Sirius leaving him there for Dumbledore to find since no one saw the half giant arrive. Severus and Peter left when Sirius arrived, but Peter was spotted and was already running for his life. This ‘Hagrid pick up’ fact was a previously unknown fact and an extremely suspicious one at that. Sirius didn’t realize that something was truly wrong with what he said, but Rabastan was determined to get the wizard thinking logically for, as it seems, the first time in his life.
The mind healer looked him in the eye, “That might explain a lot … We can ponder why Dumbledore assumed both Lily and James were dead and that he had any right to take Harry away from you later. Right now I need you to recall the most recent time you saw Peter. It was in this house, you got mad and someone held you back before you could hurt anyone, yourself included. Who was that person and what did you do to them?”
It wasn’t a mystery to Rabastan by any means. The news of Hagrid only surprised him, but he already knew the old headmaster was Harry’s magical guardian so it made sense. Poor Sirius, it seemed, was having trouble remembering what happened. Rabastan watched the weakened wizard’s eyes dart around like they were trying to catch that elusive memory.
Rabastan waited patiently, but Dobby arrived with the patient’s meal before that memory could be dug up, “I'll see you tomorrow, Sirius.” He said, but the wizard was apparently too distracted to acknowledge his comment. “For what it’s worth, Sirius, we are helping you because Harry needs you in some part of his life. We won’t let him be hurt again, however.” He said and took Dobby’s hand. Once the elf apparated them out he looked at Dobby. “Keep a close eye on him.” He said when he appeared next to Rodolphus, who was looking for any new wounds.
“Dobby will.” The head elf said seriously.
“Looks like it went better than the many times before.” Rodolphus commented.
Rabastan sighed, “We’ll see. Good thing is I think I know how to explain Dumbledore’s role in this … assuming Sirius starts thinking logically. I’ll explain later.”
The house elf’s eyes narrowed when he spotted Amycus and Alecto being followed by a small army of kneazles. “Master said they couldn’t stay here.” He said firmly ready to transport the felines, who were once Ms. Figg’s reluctant pets before the Carrow twins adopted them, elsewhere to protect his master’s peacocks.
Amycus raised his hands in defense with a nervous chuckle, “It’s ok! We’re not going to be staying long. We just came to put some spelled tags on them. You know, Lucius keeps the ones for his peacocks.”
“Why do these guys need them?” Rabastan asked as he scratched one kneazle behind an ear earning a purr.
Alecto rolled her eyes, “Peter sent us a report. He can’t find anything and it’s worrying him.”
“Nothing?” Rabastan frowned in concern just like his brother, but raised an eyebrow curiously when the kneazle rubbed his hand to remind him to get back to petting. “What does this have to do with Lucius’ peacock tags and our kneazle friends?“
“I would like to know as well.” The Carrow twins winced and turned to see none other than Lucius. “I believe I made myself clear about the kneazles.“
Alecto shot her brother, who hid behind her like a coward, before gulping nervously and looking at Lucius, “We’re keeping them away from the birds! Honest! We just need tags to keep track of all of them when they’re in the Forbidden Forest. Peter needs some extra eyes to watch Harry and everyone in the forest and they volunteered.”
Even Lucius looked concerned by that information, “It’s very dangerous-“ Not caring to hear what he had to say, all of the kneazles meowed sharply. “Very well. Dobby, go get about 20 tags.” The house elf immediately left to get the items. “Managed to avoid injury this time, I see.” He commented noticing that Rabastan looked quite well.
“Thankfully, yes. Tomorrow might be the breaking point … or he bites me again. We’ll see.” The mind healer said all too casually. “I did get an interesting fact out of him though.”
Everything went smoothly after that. The kneazles were all given tags and they all went with the twins to assist Peter. Everyone else listened to Rabastan;s plan before going off to their own rooms, which for Rabastan and Rodolphus that was in the Malfoy manor instead of their hidden home. It only made sense that the mind healer would stay close to his patient during this sensitive process especially now. After all, Rabastan was positive the turning point, be it good or bad, was coming. What he didn’t expect was the final nail being a disturbing interruption …
That day started like any other. Rabastan had breakfast with his brother, friends and just relaxed before his appointment. Once the time came Dobby appeared to report what things he observed and, thankfully, it wasn’t a report of wounds. A part of him did fear Sirius might hurt himself, but nothing happened. Nothing obvious, at least, and it was clear that blood wasn’t the only concern. Emotional distress was the other and the appearance of a heartbroken dog whimpering in a corner was the other issue.
“You didn’t mean to hurt him.” Rabastan said softly as he sat down on the floor next to Sirius. “He doesn’t hate you … but you should know something. While his relatives aren’t in the picture and we aren’t a threat he is still in danger and he needs you.” The dog perked up almost instantly and whimpered. “Have you thought about that other point I made briefly mentioned? The one about Dumbledore? Can you tell me why that seems off?” Rabastan frowned as he was gifted with a puzzled puppy type look. “Let me start again by telling you a fact. The secret keeper wasn’t written down, but Dumbledore was chosen as Harry’s magical guardian. As Harry’s magical guardian he would probably know if something happened because of the protective runes on the home. Much like how you probably realized something happened, correct?” He asked the clearly startled canine.
After a couple minutes of a thoughtful silence the dog changed back into a human, “Yeah … I was tied into the wards, but I was the only person tied to the alarm besides the secret keeper Albus wasn’t involved and I wasn’t the-“
“I know. Your name would’ve been written down as such if you were the secret keeper, but while you were picked as a godfather you only needed a magical mark as proof and not much paperwork for proof beyond a few papers in your vault. However, if you were written down as a magical guardian, or the role that needs paper documents for proof, and then made the secret keeper would your name be written down twice or once? … and yes, Sirius. Dumbledore was Harry’s magical guardian before Narcissa’s interference. If he wasn’t the secret keeper how’d he know to send Hagrid?” Rabastan watched as all the color drained from Sirius’ face. It’s not a theory that can be proven through paperwork, but it’s a theory they’ve been pondering a while and Hagrid’s orders seems to solidify it.
Sirius looked frantic as he shook his head wildly, “No … Albus has been nothing but kind to me!” He yelled as he suddenly started pacing frantically, almost unconsciously hoping that the constant motion will prevent the information from sinking in. After all, it couldn’t be true if his mind wasn’t allowed to consider it … right?
The mind healer decided not to push it and simply stood up calmly despite the frazzled patient with a biting history running around. “If you have any other explanation then please say so.” Sirius looked ready to scream. “Perhaps we should cut this session short today. I want to be ready in case there’s any issues during Harry’s trek through the Forbidden Forest. Dobby.”
Sirius was fully prepared to shift into his canine form and rip the bastard’s throat out just for suggesting that Albus could hurt anyone. Fortunately, Dobby got Rabastan out of there before that happened, but it did nothing to calm the wizard down.
However, Sirius did still shift back into his canine form and attacked the helpless pillows on his bed. The gory feather and fabric riddled crime scene did seem to satisfy the bloodthirsty wizard and the exhausted dog finally curled up on the bed on top of his victim’s remains. That’s when his mind started to wander. The first couple times the Albus theory popped up he mentally swatted it away.
The man was nicer to him than his own mother! Why would he even consider that Albus would betray anyone? Much to Sirius’ annoyance, though, the persistent thought kept coming back even after hours and a full meal courtesy of the annoyed house elf who replaced the pillow. The wizard just stayed in his canine form to annoy the elf further by licking up the meal. Amusing, yes, but those distractions didn’t stop that pesky thought for long.
For a split second he was thankful for the sudden loud ruckus downstairs that occurred hours later. It meant he didn’t have to ponder the thought any further. To his surprise, the welcomed distraction turned into a nightmare when a Dobby suddenly appeared and took him somewhere without so much as a word ...

Tiny rat whiskers carefully sniffed around the office of one Albus Dumbledore in the early morning hours. Peter has just sent for help through Severus’ floo after finding no leads or traps in the dangerous forest. Right now he was shifting gears as he waited for reinforcements.
After all, there was still that strange issue that happened to Ron about 3 nights ago. The red haired Gryffindor still seemed slightly sick and that was quite usual for any potion, which normally have side effects that burn out quickly if there’s any at all. There was more to this and Peter wanted to know what. However, a tapping caught his attention and he froze in horror at the shocking sight of the Sorting Hat tapping loudly against its glass case.
(Dammit! I thought that hat was on our side! It’s going to alert the portraits to my- …) Peter’s thoughts trailed off and he cocked his furry rodent head to the side. (No way. They aren’t responding anymore.) Peter thought in shock as he noticed the portraits continue chatting about nothing as if the hat wasn’t even there.
Taking a risk, like many times before, Peter jumped up on the desk to look for any response. The only thing that changed was that the Sorting Hat stopped making noise and looked relieved to see that the rat saw the portraits. Other than that. Nothin changed. None of the portraits, that were once responsive, acknowledged him.
(If Dumbledore swapped out the portraits then maybe he’s hiding something behind one.) Peter deduced quickly as he leapt from picture frame to picture frame. Once he checked out the painting of a late female professor he knew he was right. Unfortunately, he was only allowed a quick glimpse inside the hidden compartment before he had to close it and hide under the desk . If Peter wasn’t as quick as he was he would’ve been spotted by Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall when they walked in.
“A late breakfast will be a nice change. I better not hear complaints about being tired tomorrow.” Professor McGonagall huffed as Dumbledore came around the desk nearly hitting Peter’s nose with his robes.
“Yes, I want them all alert on this challenge. Plenty of sleep, filling breakfast and early dinner once everyone is back should work perfectly … ah! Here’s my list. It’s going in pairs of people from the same houses, beyond that they’re random. You can announce it at lunch.” Dumbledore said as he pulled a parchment out of a drawer and gave it to McGonagall.
The witch hummed presumably taking in the list, but Peter couldn’t see exactly what they were doing. “Harry is with Sam. That’s no surprise, but why are they last?”
“That’s how my lemon drops fell on the list of names.” Dumbledore commented casually. “Do you think I should change it just for him?”
Peter rolled his eyes at the wording. Minerva has had a chip on her shoulder since Harry begged to leave her beloved Quidditch team. She’s not actively trying anything to sabotage Harry, but she’s against giving the young wizard any favors.
“No. There’s no reason to go to all that trouble for him. Let’s go announce this to the students … I’m sure we’ll need to repeat it at dinner.” She muttered knowing there will always be a few students that won’t listen the first time around.
(Harry is in the last group … that can’t be a coincidence.) Peter thought and decided to come back to investigate the portrait later. Right now he needed to go to get eyes in the forest. Thankfully, when he went to check the hidden room behind the potion pantry while everyone was at lunch he found an army of helpful kneazles ready to go. No part of the path went unseen and hopefully they’d be able to prevent any traps from Dumbledore tomorrow.

The day of the new forest trek started odder than usual. Draco raised an eyebrow when he spotted Hermione Granger get between Ron and Pansy when Ron started getting huffy, “You ok, Pansy?”
“Yeah … that was sudden. Is it just me or is Weasley a little odder than usual?” Pansy asked as she adjusted her green Slytherin tie, which got a bit ruffled when Hermione broke in to get Ron away from her.
Greg and Vincent glanced at Ron who looked tired and almost green, “He doesn’t look great, but that’s an even better reason to stay away from him. Merlin knows what he’ll do in this state.” Greg whispered to his fellow Slytherins as they all saw Minerva McGonagall walked over and stood in front of the edge of the normally restricted forest while facing the seventh years.
Professor McGonagall smiled as she stood in front of the entire group of the seventh year students, “This new exercise should be a great way to understand the magical creatures in their own habitats. As I said yesterday, you must stay on the path, in your chosen pairs and keep moving. There will be no dawdling. Now, first up is …”
Pair by pair each group strolled in after each other with only a minute between each of them. Most of the Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws went first with only a couple Slytherin sets. Those Slytherins were followed up by none other than Hermione and Ron.
The rest were Slytherins and one Gryffindor group. It took longer than the other groups, but after Hermione and Ron disappeared down the magically marked forest path lined with protective crystals the Malfoy heard his name called. Draco couldn’t resist glancing at Harry and Sam before he went into the forest with Vincent. He knew they could protect themselves, but he didn’t like the feeling that they were being separated for a reason.
“Is that a Slytherin tie?” Vincent asked and sure enough right off the path. The path took a sharp turn and bent back almost making a loop and the tie was in the center.
Draco scowled as he pondered which of the first Slytherins it belonged to and if they simply dropped it or were attacked. It did bother him that Ron was in the group that followed the first Slytherins, “Weasley had better not have hurt any of them … to be safe let’s try that branch.” He suggested pointing to a branch that was touching the path lined by crystals.
Obviously they couldn’t step off the path. A Gryffindor could probably get away with breaking a rule, but not a Slytherin so they had to be smart and get the tie without stepping off the marked path. Draco and Vincent hurried down the loop of the path and up to the branch. The branch was clearly long enough, but it was easy to see that it was a little snagged on a root so both Vincent and Draco reached down to try and yank it free.
The second they touched the branch they felt a familiar tugging sensation and felt sick. There was no longer a path under them. Instead there was a mossy patch filled with bones and fragments of webs under their feet. As the realization of what happened sank in they looked up at the rustling sound they heard from above.
“Fuck.” Draco hissed under his breath as he and Vincent just stood frozen at the sight of several large acromantulas scuttling around the treetops ...
