He lost his temper.
It was rare, but when she hit him…
He saw red.
He wasn’t aware of sound or noise. He only remembered pointing his wand at her.
And screaming curse after curse at her.
It wasn’t until she stopped moving that some sense of reality came back to him.
He stared down at her still, unmoving body, and he began to panic.
Was she dead?
Had he killed her?
He dropped to his knees beside her and felt for a pulse.
None.
She couldn’t die, not until he said so, and he still needed her alive.
He aimed his wand at her chest and shot a small bolt of electricity into her body.
The girl’s entire body arched, but no pulse.
Again he tried, and still nothing.
Extremely worried now, he pulled out his fist and brought it down on her, right where her heart was. Once, twice,--
On the third try she coughed, breathing hard.
Lucius took a deep breath.
I am losing my mind.
He snapped his fingers and called his servant over, ‘Return her to her room.’
He stood, and watched the man pick her up.
I am going to kill her.
‘No, on second thought, give her to me.’ He held out his arms, ‘I have something to discuss with her.’
‘Get away from me,’ she groaned, but she was far too weak to do anything remotely stupid, like before, when she had the gall to actually slap him.
‘You and I are going to play doctor,’ He softly said.
