Alexandra’s POV
I sent my memories of that night to my father the next morning via the floo network. Seen as I suspected Dumbledore of watching me, probably waiting to intercept any of my outgoing owls, I sent Octavia out with a letter to my father anyway, talking about the Halloween dance, and of course I included Pettigrew in that letter. If I hadn’t, it would have been suspicious, Dumbledore was probably waiting for me to send out such a letter.
On Monday Severus took me to the meeting room for Slytherin house, where Sirius and Regulus were waiting. Regulus informed me that they had given Sirius ‘the Slytherin talk’ and that they were planning revenge on Pettigrew on my behalf. When I started to protest, he said ‘you are one of us, and no one messes with the Slytherin princess.’ I cringed at the title. I knew that was what people called me behind my back, but that didn’t mean I had to like it. ‘We need just one thing from you at the moment’ Sirius said, getting closer, whilst pretending not to notice my reaction to the nickname. ‘We need your memories.’ I gaped at him, not sure how to respond to that. If Dumbledore found out about their plans they would be in serious trouble. Severus held out a glass vial, which I took. ‘Is there any way to convince you not to do this?’ I asked the three of them. ‘it would be a waste of time’ Sirius said, grinning at his brother. I gave in to them, handing over my memories, I hoped that whatever they were planning, was subtle.
Pettigrew stayed in the hospital wing for over a week, I was informed that he had told Dumbledore that I had been leading him on for months, Dumbledore took his side more seriously than mine. I hadn’t expected anything else. When he returned to class, I noticed that many of the other houses were whispering about me. Lily had gotten in trouble for hexing someone for spreading lies about the incident.
It would seem that the teachers had been briefed to ignore me completely, professor Sprout was the only one who acted normal towards me.
All in all, the two weeks after the incident were the two most horrible weeks in my life. Mary and Lily had believed me, they knew Pettigrew was a horrible person, and believed him capable of rape. Lily told me that James, Sirius and Remus were siding with me on this as well, they were not speaking to Pettigrew.
My father didn’t get back to me about it, which I could only assume was because he didn’t want Dumbledore to intercept our messages. It would have been nice to receive even some lines from him.
The most unexpected thing came on Thursday, three weeks after the incident. Regulus halted me on the way to history of Magic to give me a letter in a closed envelope. He winked before walking away. I took a seat in the back of the classroom, just in case, and opened the envelope.

Dear Alex,

Several of my sources inside the castle have reported that you were assaulted at the Halloween party. I have also received the memories of you, and the other parties involved in this. I cannot express how much it displeases me that this happened, and no action was taken on your behalf. From what I hear, you are viewed the cause of trouble instead of a victim.
Our mutual friend has expressed plans for revenge. Whilst I don’t like the idea of putting others at risk, this action can’t come without consequences. While you take care of the directly involved parties, your father and I have made sure that there will be repercussions for the adults who failed to care for you.
Your father would like for me to tell you that you acted for defence, and that he is proud of the way you handled yourself.

Take care of the situation from within, and we will focus on the other things.
Please know that should you need any kind of assistance, the king and queen are in your debt. Do not hesitate to use this to your advantage.

Also, should you ever be in need of anything they cannot provide, let me know.
I still want to be kept updated on everything that might be out of the ordinary.

I looked around me, most of my classmates were looking glassy eyed already, but I couldn’t risk setting it on fire in a classroom. I had to dispose of the letter though, as soon as possible. It wasn’t specific, and Tom had kept it vague, but it would raise questions if I was found with it. I charmed the letter to look like notes when anyone but me touched it, and spent the rest of the hour diligently taking notes.
My next class was charms, which we had with Slytherin. I sat down next to Severus, in the back of the class. Charms was the perfect class for a conversation, everyone was always so busy watching each other. ‘I want in on the revenge squad’ I told him. He seemed surprised, but nodded. ‘Of course you do’ was his reply. He waved his wand, effectively executing the assignment for today. ‘What’s the plan?’ I wanted to know, waving my want at my own raven, to silence it. He looked around, at the others. ‘Meet us tonight after diner, same place, then we can talk.’ He told me. ‘I’ll inform Regulus.’ I promised him I would tell Sirius in the double potions we had after lunch.

Later that night I told Mary that I would be in the library to study. She rolled her eyes at me, stating that we didn’t have any homework to be handed in tomorrow. I was lucky that Mary was never suspicious of me doing homework, and that she was such a last minute person. If this would have been Lily, she would have tagged along.

I was the last one to arrive in the room, when the wards were up I asked them about the plan. It was clear to me that Regulus had gotten some of these ideas from Tom.
So far, they had planned to abduct Pettigrew, and make it very clear that he was not to ever touch me again. They had also decided that they were going to do this the day before we went home for Christmas.
‘Maybe you should make it look like it’s the Death eaters that are abducting him?’ I asked them. I didn’t just want revenge, I wanted him to fear me. I wanted him to be too afraid to even look at me. I knew Tom would back us up. Sirius looked surprised at my suggestion. ‘It’s what Dumbledore fears isn’t it? That the Dark Lord is recruiting here?’ Severus and Regulus mumbled in agreement. ‘Let’s give them foundation for that fear.’
Severus smiled, liking the idea. Regulus looked unsure, which I could understand. By having a Death eater retaliation on Pettigrew, I would pick a side in this war. Sirius however was completely against the idea. ‘You’d be openly declaring yourself for the dark side.’ He argued. I shrugged, I had already chosen my side but I didn’t want to tell Sirius yet. I placed my hand on his arm in an attempt to calm him down, it seemed to work, at least he looked at me. ‘Like it or not, I am the Slytherin princess, a Zabini, a pureblood, think for a minute, who are the Death eaters?’
I could see him processing what I said, everyone knew that most of the Death eaters were purebloods. The perceived dark side was all about bloodlines. They would protect anyone with pure blood. I saw Sirius coming to the same conclusion. I would not be declaring sides, the dark side would be showing their devotion to a possible member.

I had Regulus write a letter to Tom with the things we would need, Tom promised to help us out, on the condition that I spoke to Lucius and Narcissa about this. We would need their help, and if anything was to go wrong, it would always help to have such powerful families helping us. I had always hated Lucius, but he proved to be very useful in this. He was good in spotting the weaknesses in the plan, and had a great input. Narcissa was usually quiet, but had loads of good suggestions.

After the last month of careful planning, this was the night we would execute our plan.
It was the last day before the Christmas break, and most students would be packing now. We got Pettigrew out of the common room by hiding his stuff. He was going home for the break, and Sirius had been smuggling Pettigrew’s stuff out of the dorm for a month. About a week ago, we had started to put the stolen items around the castle so he would find them. The last item was his transfiguration book, which he would need during the holidays to complete the assignment. He would be searching high and low for it. As we had discussed, we all had to work out an alibi, so we couldn’t be implicated in any way.
Sirius would be at the Gryffindor end of term celebrations, and would be seen headed to bed early. Regulus, Severus and Lucius were protected by Slytherin house. Narcissa had been part of the planning, but would not be part of the execution of the plan. I was to be seen entering the Slyhterin common room for a girls night with Narcissa, she would be my alibi.
Sirius would borrow James’ invisibility cloak, change into the death eater form of Mcnair Sr. and bring Pettigrew. The four of us would be changing into our Death eater aliases in the meeting room, and would be disillusioned until we got to the shrieking shag, so no one would see us. To make sure we didn’t run into any teachers, Sirius had given us James’ map of the castle. As soon as we got to the willow, I charmed a twig to still the tree. I looked around, ghosts couldn’t have done the damage in this house. Seen as Sirius knew how to get in, he must know more about this, I would ask him about it in the next week. Next to me, Regulus, disguised as Goyle Sr. took another swig of the potion, and indicated that I should do the same. ‘and now we wait’ Severus, who was behind me disguised as Mr. Carrow said. I looked at him trough my own mask ‘and now we wait’ I repeated.

Please tell me what you think, I know I promised more romance, but I wanted to get this out of the way first. On the Cayman islands there will be romance, I swear!
