‘Oh …’ Harry muttered with a blush. That serpent was most likely telling another perverted truth, but he did get the feeling she was also trying to avoid the Noles topic ...

The Great Hall was out of control the next morning. All of the students were clamoring for answers to all sorts of questions …
Is it true the Potters are all locked up? Did Michael really attack someone? Was it Harry? Is Harry going to the trial? Where is the headmistress? Was she gone because of the trial? Is Gringotts really allowing the Daily Prophet in the courtroom for mirror broadcast? Can we watch? What was that explosion last night? Where is Hagrid? Where are the other professors?
“Ok! Everyone, calm down!” A tired looking Albus called out with the use of a spell that greatly enhanced his voice. Thankfully, that helped and the students slowly became quiet. “I know you all want answers. I want that too. In order to get them I need to contact Harry and Gringotts. If, and only if, we are given mirror access I will allow you all to follow throughout-“ he sighed as everyone exploded in excitement. “BUT you must all behave or i'll cut off the connection. No arguments. As for the other professors … I’m guessing they’re still asleep since it’s still fairly early. If you could all go back to your dorms and get dressed we can discuss this at breakfast.”
Admittedly, Albus found the looks on the sheepish students rather funny. Clearly they were all just now realizing that they were all still in pajamas and sporting some bed head. Of course, now that the first part of the madness was over he actually had to go get the answers everyone wanted. However, just as he was wandering back he felt someone drag him back. To his surprise he was pulled into a room he never saw before through a doorway that he was sure was a wall a minute ago. It took a second, but he did recall that Harry and Tom mentioned passages like this.
“Albus, where’s Harry?” Tom’s voice exclaimed from behind the wizard whose arm he was holding.
The transfiguration professor sighed as he turned to look at everyone standing there, which included his friends, brother and the Weasley twins. “I haven’t seen-“ he blinked as he looked closer at his friends and brother. “Don’t you know? You guys look like you spent the night with him.” Albus smirked as he looked at the flushed faces of Tom, Aberforth, Gellert and Severus. They each looked very ruffled as if they rushed to dress and had a limp.
“Yes, well … he was with us, but didn’t stay with us.” Severus muttered, sounding a bit disappointed that the creature didn’t stay with them.
The twins both frowned, “Our Dad said Harry was helping with a ministry project.”
Gellert raised an eyebrow, “Does this have to do with Noles being replaced? Is that why you two came to find us?”
“Noles was replaced?” Albus asked. That news concerned him a lot. He couldn’t help but wonder if it meant someone tried to hurt Tom and Noles was injured.
Aberforth chuckled as he pointed at an embarrassed Tom, “Fred and George came to get us to warn us about the news their father owled them about and we met our new guards. They told us that Nagini attacked Noles and he had to be taken away. We know Harry flooed the ministry to get medical help, but where he went after … I guess it became a ministry situation?” He asked curiously as he looked at the twins hoping they’d explain.
George shrugged, “Our Dad sent us an emergency owl-“
“- and since we were already up because of that explosion we read it.” Fred said as he pulled out the letter. “He wanted us-
“- to spread the news of the Potters’ arrest. The minister is apparently seriously going to use the trial as a diversion.” George said.
“And with everyone awake, save for these pervs, we just started telling … we didn’t think the news would cause such a mess in every dorm. It’s surprising how many people are dating and know the passwords to other dorms.” Fred said as he and his brother chuckled sheepishly, completely ignoring the blushes on Tom, Gellert, Aberforth and Severus’ faces. Yes, they were so out of it they didn’t hear anything.
Albus frowned, “Yeah … I have to find out what-“
“Nagini.” All the professors said in perfect deadpanned syncretism making the Weasley twins burst out into laughter.
“Huh?” A stunned Albus exclaimed.
Tom cringed slightly in embarrassment, “My new guards told me that Nagini attacked Noles … with fireworks. The damage is restricted to the area in front of Gellert’s living quarters so it’s not too bad.” He said almost trying to defend his familiar by making it seem ok, but it was a weak defense.
“Where did she find fireworks?” Albus wondered in his shock at what that snake would do, but he quickly shook his head. “I need to focus. Contacting Gringotts should come first-“
“You don’t have to!” Fred said as he handed Albus a mirror.
George pointed to the runes on the edge, “You control the size with the runes. Dad snuck us this Gringotts issued mirror and told us to give it to you.”
“Sounds like the minister’s plot again.” Gellert muuttered not liking the parading of his new mate in front of people for a dangerous distraction.
Albus sighed, “Probably … I’ll make a quick floo call to get the repairs done on the castle so we don’t need to delay classes to fix them ourselves. After that we can set the mirror up …” he yawned and rubbed his eyes tiredly. “Why did Nagini have to cause trouble so early? Where is she anyway?”
“No clue.” Tom groaned feeling very nervous about not knowing where his familiar was at this exact moment.
As the professors opened the wall and walked out of the hidden passages, the twins glanced at each other. “Should we tell them we made the fireworks for a graduation celebration at the end of the year?” Fred asked his brother.
“Let’s let that just stay between us for a while. At least until after we graduated.” George commented and his brother nodded in agreement before they both ran after the professors.

“You look tired. “
Harry looked up from the Gringotts bench and saw Lucius sit down in the seat next him, which was reserved for the heir’s representative, “I was very busy last night.” He said he still felt drained for many reasons including the steamy ones.
“Yes, I work in the ministry too so I have an idea of what you mean.” Lucius whispered as they heard the crowd growing right outside the courtroom doors. “Everything will be starting soon.”
The creature sighed trying to ignore the growing knot in his stomach, which only eased a little when a certain scent hit his nose. “Dad.” He immediately perked up and looked around the surprisingly dim courtroom. Finally, Harry saw Hagrid and Dr. Izeki being escorted by goblins and soon joined him in a section of benches next to him.
It was an interesting set up for a courtroom, but this room was being used specifically for this complex case. If you strolled in you’d see a few rows of benches going parallel to the door, but that’s only the first five rows for the media or random watchers. When you pass the little gate that separates the first section you’ll see a walkway leading you to a large bench where the judge goblins will listen. Along the walkway were four sections meaning 2 on each side. Harry and Lucius were in the section that was closer to the judge and Hagrid and Dr. Izeki were in the section next to them. The part Harry wasn’t fond of was that his and Hagrid’s sections faced the 2 sections on the opposite side of the walkway, which meant he’d have to look the Potters in the eyes. The Potters, by the way, were arriving at this very moment with Sirius and they were all being escorted by three Aurors, a few goblins and the most unexpected people he could possibly imagine! The minister and Minerva McGonagall!
The sight of the minister, who should’ve been organizing an ambush, and his very dead headmistress deeply confused the creature, “How …” Harry murmured as Michael, James and Lily were seated, just as he feared, right across from him. However, after the Potters warred chained in place the escorts came towards his section and that's when he smelled it. “A fake …” Harry whispered so low no human could hear it. The minister wasn’t real, but very good golem. As for the headmistress, he had no clue.
“Hey, Harry. How are you doing?” Sirius asked as he was guided to the seat on the other side of Lucius.
“I’ll be better once this is over.” The creature sighed not liking the look Lily was giving him. She clearly put the pieces together and was not happy with the conclusion. “Kreacher.” The house elf appeared with a large cup of some much needed blood, which he drank gratefully. He’ll need every drop to remain sane here especially with Minerva McGonagall gliding into the bench behind him.
Lucius shot Sirius, who was wiggling in his seat trying to get a proper look at Harry, a sharp look for being restless, “We’ll all feel better soon. Now quiet. It’s starting.” He said as the fake minister and his guards stood back and the goblin escorts split up to sit in each section.
Minerva placed a comforting hand on Harry’s shoulder not realizing how close she was to being burnt with acid, “Nagini isn’t as convincing as she likes to think. The minister and I wanted to make a gamble and I’m still too sore to help with the crate dance so I’m here. Will it work?” She said getting so close that she practically had her chin on his shoulder.
Suddenly, Harry smelled something in her breath that made his jaw drop as he turned to look at her more closely, “Perhaps it will … how did you mimic her scent so perfectly?” Harry whispered, still stepping around a certain subject and for good reason.
“We aren’t interested in the details. I doubt we can prove anything anyway ...and while I did get my ass handed to me by a snake it doesn’t mean I have no skills.” The fake Minerva whispered before leaning back in her seat after subtly hinting that she was none other than Noles.
A team of five goblins entered the room and sat at the large bench, “Today we will discuss the charges of abuse, attempted murder, conspiracy and attempted rape. We want to treat each case separately so first we will discuss the abuse and abandonment of one Harry Potter. The attempted rape case will be last because the victim has other responsibilities that can’t be overlooked right now. Now if there are no objections we will open the doors for the reporters to join.” The goblin explained detailing a plan that will definitely stretch out the timeline. No doubt it was for the minister.
Lily looked horrified and immediately stood up. “This is a private matter and my husband refuses to allow this to be … broadcast.” She hissed the last word through clenched teeth.
As far as she was concerned muggle terms like those were disgusting. It baffled her that Hogwarts started taking kids on muggle trips, which she learned about from Michael. There was nothing to see in the disgusting muggle world so why bother?! Despite her attempt to speak against it the trips continued. Such foolishness actually made a big impact that caused the muggle lifestyle, which she tried to abandon long ago, to seep into the magical world and taint it.
“Huh?” James blinked, not comprehending the situation right away, but then quickly stood up. “That’s right, we don’t want this made public until everything is sorted out.”
Lucius leaned toward Harry, “As the Lord of their family you get the final say.”
“Ok.” Harry nodded and stood up. “I wish to broadcast these trials … accept the attempted rape one. It will be private unless my mate says otherwise.” The minister may have wanted a show, but Harry refused to use such a personal issue as part of the distraction without considering what his mate wanted.
The goblin seated in the center nodded, “As Lord Potter commands. Open the doors.” He ordered and the doors opened allowing the Daily Prophet reporters inside with mirrors attached to the lenses of some of the cameras.
All through the trial Harry wondered if everything was going to plan. We’re the right people watching? …

“My Lord, we found a large mirror.” A Death Eater said as he set up a full length mirror next to a fireplace.
The dark lord slowly raised his eyes from the newspaper article that was announcing the Potters’ arrest, “Well done. Were you seen?”
“No, my lord. The goblins were handing them out to any first comers so I transfigured into a reporter and just grabbed one.” The loyal minion said happily.
“You’re dismissed.” Gaunt ordered sharply as he waved his hand over the mirror. The happy Death Eater practically skipped away just as the images appeared in the mirror.
‘WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THAT FREAK IS THE LORD?! MY DAD IS, NOT HIM!’
Lord Gaunt actually flinched at the painful volume of the scream, “Dear Merlin-... him.” The dark lord located the image of the screamer on the mirror and immediately felt his anger spike as his eyes locked onto a very pissed off Michael.
The goblin in the Potters’ section tried to hush the wizard, ‘Michael Potter, you will be wise to be quiet-‘
‘Don’t tell me-‘ with a snap of the goblin’s clawed fingers all of Michael’s sound vanished leaving him silently screaming to himself.
The five judging goblins took a note of the reaction, ‘Yes, Michael Potter. Harry Potter has been confirmed as the new Lord of both the Potter and Black families due to a clause in both of their founding laws.’
The goblin the Potter section, the one who just shut Michael up, stood up after Lily told him something. ‘What is this clause? The Potters knew nothing of it and why weren’t they informed the second the title of Lord shifted to Harry? The Potters also wish to clarify that they never abandoned Harry and they want to know how no one knew Harry was with Hagrid. The potters frequently visited the Hogwarts, but never saw him and therefore wish to suggest that the half giant is actually an abusive kidnapper.’ He said, speaking for those in his section to prevent them from digging themselves a deeper hole.
The Dark Lord scowled, “I don’t envy that goblin moderator. Just say Harry is a creature and lock the fucking idiot up!” Gaunt snapped not realizing he sounded like a muggle yelling at their favorite sport. However, his mood brightened considerably when he spotted Minerva. “My loyal subject has truly outdone herself. I look forward to hearing how she brought about this parade of humiliation for the Potters.” He commented before focusing on Harry who seemed to bristle at the remark towards Hagrid’s character, but sadly the Malfoy stopped the creature from jumping up to say or slash something. Harry calmed down and they spoke quickly with the goblin in their own section.
Harry’s goblin nodded and spoke up, ‘We would like to first point to the house elf , Kreacher.’
The house elf dutifully appeared on the rail next to his master, ‘Kreacher felt the change in title the second the master was born, but there are no house elves to sense that on the Potter side and the Black family’s house elves were always told to not announce the change since some family members get murderous. Kreacher would like to point out that if the Potter idiot didn’t sell his founding laws and instead trusted his goblin to stash it away then he might’ve been told by the clever goblins who would have noticed the magic from the book shift.’ Kreacher said carefully buttering up the goblins for his master’s benefit. Off to the side Sirius could be seen nodding, clearly annoyed by his family’s well known cruelty.
The goblin in Harry’s section spoke to him and the creature stood up. He removed his upper clothes and spread his wings. ‘The clause in the founding laws was about rebirths of a specific creature called a Gidatuko. If a rebirth of a Gidatuko occurred then they get full control of the family they were born into and other benefits that were reserved for him or her. As for my care growing up, I remember only severe hunger in the Potters’ care and an attack on my 6th birthday severed any possible relationship I could have with them. My dad, Hagrid, took everything into account including my eyes.’
‘Hold on. Let’s let the record state that Harry Potter mentioned an attack and the transcript and notes documenting his injuries were recorded by Dr. Izeki who is held by a healer’s vow even today. We even have floo records proving Hagrid tried to contact the Potters over a span of month until said attack and if anything it proves that he was acting in Harry’s best interests.’ The goblin gestured for Harry to continue.
Harry took a breath, ‘I slowly changed over time and every wound or impactful event made something in my body adapt. The only things that haven't fully changed are my affinity for the night and my sensitive eyes. My dad, Hagrid, would only leave me with trusted friends, who were either creatures themselves, Dr. Izeki or a special muggle daycare run by squibs, or he’d carry me through the castle when he checks the halls for students. The students he found actually did see me, but my dad is so big they never noticed me hanging on his back. Other times, when I really started climbing, I just hid on the walls or ceilings or in the secret passages I found, but no one could see in the dark like I can-‘ Harry casually caught the shoe that nearly hit his head and the reporters started chattering excitedly at the development.
The goblins at the judging bench scowled, ‘Control your section, Flareflesh!’ The goblin in the center of the judging bench snarled.
‘My apologies to the court.’ Flareflesh said and glared at Michael, who somehow managed to remove and throw his right shoe without him noticing. Before Michael could grab his other shoe the goblin promptly snapped his fingers. In an instant, the chair bench behind Michael sprouted arms. Those gangly wooden limbs grabbed Michael and pinned him down much to Lily and James’ horror.
‘How dare you! My son deserves to be treated with more respect than this! He saved you all from a dark lord, did he not?!’ Lily yelled, though she missed Michael twitch in irritation and she never knew that the supposedly dead dark lord was listening right now.
In fact, Gaunt found the trial quite amusing. From the Potters all being restrained to their bench to hearing the details of the abuse to Sirius’ cover up. Every tantalizing fact kept his attention for hours. When the clock showed it was the middle of the afternoon, however, he noticed something strange.
Silence …
Not one bumbling Death Eater could be heard outside his chamber. Actually, there was no sound at all, but the door seemed to be shaking slightly. Without bothering to check on his loyal minions he stood up and went to the desk nearby. The drawer opened to reveal a small marble, which was actually an illegal portkey ...

The minister breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the large number of creatures waiting at the edge of Hogsmeade, “Thank you all-“
Some cloaked creatures, most likely vampires, drifted a bit too close to the minister, “We are here because Harry asked us to come not because of any of you.”
“Yes. Yes, I understand that.” Cornelius said coming to a bitter realization on the relationship between the ministry and creatures. Harry and Hagrid’s fear of punishment suddenly made sense. The trust for the ministry was so low they thought he’d execute a child! it was clear something had to change. “I won’t allow the policies for creatures of all levels to remain-“
“This isn’t a political rally. Move aside and I’ll open your crate.” The Aurors gaped as none other than Aragog stepped out of the forest. “I expect you to help my dear friend, Hagrid, for this.”
“Of course.” Cornelius gasped as the massive spider spread the enchanted crate so far that the back silently fell open on its own. “Curse breakers first! Trap them in. Hit hard and fast.” He said as silencing spells were cast on many there, though many creatures there didn’t need it or didn’t want a wand pointed at them.
The small army advanced into the crate and came into the dungeon of none other than the Dark Lord’s hideout. With the curse breakers breaking through any security runes and putting up a barrier to prevent anyone from escaping the Death Eaters were rounded up easily. However, breaking through the door to get to Lord Gaunt proved tricky. While they worked quickly and quietly they were too late.
“Shit. He must’ve had a portkey.” One of the curse breakers frowned, but then his eyes widened as he looked at the broadcast mirror. “Minister!”
Cornelius looked at the mirror just in time to see all the cameras focus on one man yelling at the crowd of scared reporters and prepare to shower everyone with deadly curses. The Dark Lord was in Gringotts and ready to slaughter every innocent person in range ...
