Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of Jk Rowlings works and/or characters, and I do not make any money from this story, its just for fun |
Author’s Note: Yeah I don’t have a good reason for not posting regularly. Interviews, original writing, spending time with family, yadda yadda. It’s all true but its not a good excuse. Well here’s another chapter. I don’t anticipate this story going on too much longer. Once I feel things are as resolved as I want them, then it’ll be over. I know the writing has declined too. I apologize, but am not sure if it will improve. Still, thanks for reading and I hope that this is a silly fun thing for you all to enjoy!

Draco was in a remarkably good mood. He’d had the most amazing date with Hermione. Hermione, not Granger. He knew after their kisses, he would never call her Granger again. Alright so things were a bit messy and complicated, but he was in no rush. He was willing to take what he could get.
He was looking forward to his breakfast, when he saw the Weasel sprinting full tilt toward the courtyard, Potter hot on his heels. Don’t get involved, don’t get involved. He took two steps in the direction of the Great Hall doors, but upon hearing Potter calling the Weasel, trying to get him to slow down he sighed, and dashed in the other direction, intent on cutting Weasley off.
“Impedimenta!” Draco shouted as he saw Ron approaching him on the opposite side of the courtyard. The boy slowed from the spell, allowing Harry to catch up and Draco to stand in front of him, getting a good look at the lanky boy.
His eyes were wet, face splotchy. As the spell faded, his breathing was shaky, and Draco knew it wasn’t from running. He was crying much the way Hermione had earlier in the year. Which could only mean that Ron must have found out about Hermione and him.
Harry helped Ron onto a seat, glad that it was too early for people to be in the courtyard. “It’s not the end of the world mate… I don’t know why you’re upset.” Harry was trying to be soothing, and was failing miserably.
Draco couldn’t slip away at this point, so he leaned against a column, surprised that Weasley hadn’t started yelling or at least staring daggers at him yet.
“Why wouldn’t I be upset? Him and her? I never would have guessed it…” He was sniffing, trying to prevent tears.
Draco felt himself tense, but didn’t move, it was better to get this over with. Before he could speak, Harry was talking again. “They dated before. It makes sense they might want to again.”
Wait, what?
“After last night though…that was really difficult for me to let my guard down and do anything with him. And it was incredible.”
Draco was really lost now. “Okay will one of you fill me in?”
Ron scowled. “It’s none of your business Malfoy.”
“Maybe not, but we both know Potter is the pits with advice.” Draco drawled, smirking at Harry who merely shrugged.
“Ron hooked up with Neville and Luna last night. This morning they were making out. Now Ron’s upset.” Ron glared at his best friend but Harry brushed it off. “What? He’s right.”
Ron grumbled to himself but stayed silent, refusing to speak out loud. Until Draco started laughing.
“What’s so damn funny?” Weasley lurched to his feet, staring down at Malfoy. It was easy to forget just how damn tall he was.
But Draco didn’t back down. “This is the same shit you pulled on Hermione. You couldn’t figure out why she was upset. Well, now you know.” And with that Draco walked away, still laughing.
Ron sagged back onto the bench, his head in his hands. “Bloody hell….it is the same isn’t it.”
Even oblivious Harry knew it was no question. “That’s why I don’t get why you’re upset. You seemed to think it was fine when you did it.”
Ron took a few moments, and Harry sat by him quietly, stomach starting to rumble. “I’ve been a real prat haven’t I?”
“Do you really want me to answer that?”
Ron shook his head and stood. “There’s only one thing left for me to do. I have to ask him if he wants me or Luna.”
Harry walked with him, as they strode purposefully back to the hall. He had no idea how this was going to turn out, and really there didn’t seem like he could do anything about it except just watch.
To their surprise Neville was standing at the door entrance, watching them approach. Ron’s steps didn’t falter though and he marched right up to Neville. “Ron I can exp-“
But Neville didn’t have a chance as Ron pulled him into an embrace, leaned down and kissed him with so much passion, Harry felt his face flush as he tried to look anywhere but the entwined boys.
When they broke apart Neville was speechless. But Ron wasn’t. “If you are back with Luna, I just had to do that once more. I wanted to show you exactly how I feel, even if you didn’t feel the same way back. I really like you, and last night was one of the best nights of my life.”
Ron was about to turn away, when Neville grabbed his hand. “I’m not with Luna. I want to be with you.”
Harry’s face flushed deeper, and he stopped paying attention to their words because within seconds they were all over each other again. Luckily he spotted a scowling Ginny trudging towards the hall, some of their teammates scurrying behind them. But they all stopped up short at the sight of Ron and Neville snogging.
As Harry approached his girlfriend, she whispered something to the others and they scrambled around, pulling apart a long banner. When the couple pulled apart Ginny whistled, directing Ron’s attention to the sign. He flushed scarlet, but looked pleased as he nodded at Neville, causing the shorter boy to let out a whoop of excitement.
They whispered together for a moment, the team clapping at the new couple when Ron broke away from his new boyfriend and approached Harry. “I think I better actually apologize to Hermione. I should never have treated her like that.”
Harry was already exhausted from the roller coaster of emotions and drama that had happened, all before he had had his breakfast. Despite his confusion, he did like the change in his best friend. “Yeah I think that’s a good idea.”
