Chapter 27: Time Alone

After dinner Ron wanted to play chess. Harry reluctantly agreed, giving
Ginny-pleading glances. While Harry and
Ron were busy playing chess and Hermione had her nose buried in a book again
Ginny snuck over to Remus to plan an escape for Harry.

�
Hey Remus, Harry wanted some alone time for the two of you and asked me to help
plan it,� she whispered.

�
Did he now. Well do you have any
ideas?�

� I
thought maybe I could ask him to show me something outside or go for a
walk. You could slip outside and meet
up with us and I could hang out somewhere while you two had some alone time.�

�We
can use that another night. Harry and I
need to go to Hogwarts tomorrow for a staff meeting, I think that we need to do
some revisions to the lesson plans,� smirked Remus.

�
That will work. It gives you two plenty
reasons to be up there ALL NIGHT,� she grinned.

Remus
laughed causing the others to look at him.
� That was a funny joke Ginny,� he covered. He noticed that Ron and Harry had just finished their game.

�
Harry I hate to interrupt your time with Ron but we do have some lesson plans
to go over for the meeting tomorrow.�

Harry
looked at him confused until he saw the � follow along stupid� look on Ginny�s
face.

�
Right. I had forgotten all about
that. Sorry Ron this will probably take
a while.�

�
It won�t take all night will it,� asked Ron.

�
We do have a lot to prepare and pack.�
He stopped seeing the questioning looks. � We are setting up the classroom and the office after the
meeting, � said Remus.

�I
will probably just go to bed afterwards, I am still a little tired,� said
Harry.

� I
guess we will see you in the morning,� grumbled Ron.

�
We need to leave here no later than eight-thirty in the morning,� said
Remus. He thought of something to
occupy Ron�s time. � Ron I found some
wonderful Quidditch books that James had, upstairs in my room. Why don�t you walk up with us and you can
take them back here or to your room to read.�

Ron�s
eyes lit up and he nodded. They went
upstairs to Remus� room where Remus retrieved the books from the bookshelf and
sent Ron on his way. Remus warded the
door and took Harry in his arms.

They
kissed languishly, lightly caressing each other. Eventually they broke apart, resting their foreheads against each
other�s.

�
We really do have some things to discuss about tomorrow,� said Remus.

� I
know, � said Harry. � Just sitting and
talking is what I wanted anyway. I
already miss our quiet evenings together.�

Remus
kissed Harry�s forehead. � Me too
love. Let�s go cuddle on the couch.�

Harry
nodded and Remus led him to the couch.
Remus lay on his side and Harry snuggled in beside him, laying his head
against Remus� broad chest.

�
Comfortable,� asked Remus with a smile.

�
Very,� said Harry kissing Remus� chest.

� I
talked to Albus about the dueling club.�

�
Really? What did he say?�

�
He liked the idea. Tomorrow we can
check out some unused classrooms to see if there are any big enough to
use. I would rather set-up the dueling
stage only once instead of using the Great Hall everytime.�

�
We could use the Room of Requirements.
It would automatically set up the stage when we needed it and if we
needed anything else the room will change accordingly,� said Harry.

�
Possibly. We can talk to Dumbledore
tomorrow.� Remus hugged Harry
tighter. � So are you really ready to
teach. The Slytherins will give you a
hard time. You will have to ignore the
urge to hex them all�� Harry smirked, �
�and give responsible punishments.�

�
What no taking 100 points from Malfoy, that�s no fun,� joked Harry?

�
Brat.�

�
Seriously though, I know the Slytherins will try to rattle me. I�m prepared for them.� He leant up to kiss Remus. � So what�s the plan for tomorrow?�

�
You will join me in the meeting at first.
Albus will tell the other Professors about your position and then you
and I will go over the lesson plans and the ideas for the dueling club. After that you will be excused from the
meeting. I thought that maybe you could
start setting up the classroom until I can get out of the meeting.�

�
That sounds fine with me.�

�
Great. We can both set up our office
together.�

�
Our office?�

�
Of course. You will need to have office
hours at least a few times a week in case a student needs your help. Some may be more comfortable coming to you
for advise than to me.�

�
Wow I didn�t think about that. This is
going to be a challenge balancing teaching with my other studies and Quidditch.�

� I
know you can do it.� He kissed the top
of Harry�s head. � Let�s get the boxes
shrunk and ready to just grab tomorrow.
We can sleep a bit longer tomorrow if we do it now. �

�
Ok,� said Harry. He reluctantly got up,
pulling Remus up with him. They shrunk
the boxes and tanks, putting them in a knapsack.

�
What�s next? � asked Harry.

�
Do you have anything you would like to take as well? �

� I
guess there is a few books in my room that might be handy to have. Why don�t you gather your clothes for
tomorrow and meet me in my room while I gather the books together.�

�
Wonderful plan my love, see you in a few minutes.�

Harry
left Remus� room by the door in case anyone happened to be around and entered
his own room. He was just finishing
packing the shrunken books in his sachel when he heard Remus coming into the
room from the passageway.

� I
was planning on taking a shower, care to join me?�

�
It will be my pleasure,� said Remus.

They
undressed each other slowly, kissing lovingly.
They stepped into the shower and proceeded to wash each other, becoming
more and more aroused. They stumbled
out of the shower casting drying charms on themselves as they made their way to
the bed. They made slow, passionate
love until they climaxed together. They
drifted off to sleep sated in each other�s arms.
