I would like to give a shout-out to Kittykat575 for this chapter’s story plot. Without you, I would still be stuck trying to come-up with a mind tingling plot. Thank you!
Give Me One More ChanceWARNING: This is about male pregnancy and male/male relationships. I’m letting you know now what the relationships WILL contain. So, if you are AGAINST such pairings, please find something else more to your liking, you have been WARNED.
Flames will be ignored.
This chapter is not beta-read. All mistakes are mine.
Note: Severus is a little OOC for this chapter.
Also, I just realized that Lucius is about five years older than everyone else and that there is no way possible for him to have known Severus and the others while attending Hogwarts. He would have been in his 5th or 6th year whereas Severus, Sirius, James, and Lily would have been in their first year, if he did know them; Lucius probably would have been a bully or ignored them altogether, but taking a special interest in Severus. So, with that being said, I’m going to change his birth year to make him and Calhoun only a year older. Please forgive the oversight. I will make corrections to previous chapters soon.
Special thank you to: Slytherin vs. Gryffindor yahoo group, duchessme, cullengal101, Kittykat575, Jan, and for those who read and didn’t review thank you for even taking the time read up to this chapter.
Enjoy!

Chapter 27: Sly is for Slytherin
Sirius stormed directly out of the infirmary—mind firmly focused on one thing, ignoring all calls of his name being shouted. He was going to kill Calhoun for every laying a finger on his precious baby girl.
He knew!
He just knew that Calhoun had machinations toward Sheridan; and now he knew why. No one could resist the prestige and notoriety of the Noble and Ancient House of Black, not even supposed close friends. What a fool he’s been in believing that Calhoun was different!
Well, he wasn’t going to just stand-by and allow Calhoun get away with it. No Ministry official would condemn him for murdering that son-of-a-bitch having taken liberties with his female heir without his permission.
Sure Sheridan was of age to be courted but not without a chaperone and she definitely wasn’t of age to consent to having sexual relations with a man that was the same age as her parents!
He was at the Apparating points just outside the castle’s gates. Sirius wasn’t going to use he wand to cast an Unforgivable—oh, no— that was too good of quick death for that bastard, he was going to use his bare hands to rip out Calhoun’s throat.
“Sirius, will you please just listen to reason for one bloody moment!” Lucius pleaded finally catching up to his friend. Wow, he didn’t realize that Sirius could move that quick when hell bent with killing intent.
“Fuck-you, Malfoy,” Sirius growled whirling around drawing out his wand.
Expecting to duel, Lucius faced-off with the Black monarch—holding his cane aloft in his left hand with his wand in the other.
“Calhoun has been going behind mine and Severus’ back for who knows how long, seducing Sheridan while playing up to your Father and this, this is how he treats our friendship by impregnating my daughter!”
The ex-Slytherin didn’t know if he wanted to strangle his best friend’s spouse or simply knock Sirius upside the head for being so stupid at the moment. The former was mighty tempting than the latter. However, Lucius settled for merely stating, “Calhoun didn’t deflower Sheridan. My son did that and don’t be surprised by that fact. You were doing much worse at their age. How many girls did you seduce out of their panties before you enchanted Severus, hmm?
The other pure-blood was thunder-stuck by that last question. However, Sirius had to concede Lucius’ point.
“Sirius, I’m just as much in shock at the circumstances that we have now found ourselves in. Don’t make is worse by committing murder. Severus would not be pleased.”
Lowering his wand, the Marauder deflated a little.
“She’s just fifteen, Lucius. I’m at a loss on what to do? How can I care for Severus and Sheridan? What did I do wrong?” Sirius asked as they headed back toward the castle.
Lucius knew that Sirius refuse to accept the fact the twins were no longer babes in arms. His little girl was blossoming into a young woman with an obvious fancy for much older men—not that he could blame her, far from it.
Calhoun was a walking sex magnetic; Lucius seen first-hand what the man can do—a few pretty words, a flirtatious smile, a saucy wink and he would have practically anyone eating out of the palm of his hands. It was quite a sight to behold. It was no mere chance at all that he became a lawyer, Calhoun and his father had a way with words. Lucius figured Calhoun’s bloodline must have some type of Veela ancestry. Heck, Lucius wouldn’t be astonished if Calhoun was part Vampire because of his blood colored eyes.
“Apparently, Sheridan convinced Draco to drink a batch of Polyjuice to…” Lucius trailed off clearly becoming uncomfortable discussing their children’s sexual escapades.
“To what, Lucius?” Sirius said coming to a dead halt. Grey eyes beseeching quicksilver ones not to confirm his worst nightmare.
“Well, um…” Lucius cleared his throat. “It was a fantasy of Sheridan’s to-”
“STOP!” Sirius said holding up a hand to prevent Lucius from speaking. “Just stop. For my peace of mind, just don’t say anything else, Lucius. My poor heart can’t take hearing about my daughter in compromising positions with your son under the guise of Polyjuice.”
Then he thought about it. “Wait-a-minute,” Sirius said stopping to stare at the blond. “The potion—it made the contraceptives Draco was taking ineffective.”
Lucius merely nodded his head.
“Sheridan brewed the potion,” he continued gradually. Severus had told Sirius once a while back that Sheridan was a master in the making. She had the ability when creating potions to instill a bit of her magic to it as she saw fit—something that only true Potions masters could do. Octavious could do it. Severus’ grandfather, old-man Tobias, could as well, and who knew how many more before him. Heck, even Severus could infuse his magic into potions without a thought and that’s not to mention him creating spells.
Again Lucius nodded his head in acquiesce, knowing that Sirius was working out the particulars in his head.
“Then that means-”
“It means, Sirius, that Sheridan’s desire was so potent while she brewed the Polyjuice that Calhoun’s essence—everything about him was literally brought into being. Therefore, the child she carries is Calhoun’s. She wanted to get pregnant,” Lucius stated.
Negatively shaking his head in denial, Sirius couldn’t believe that his daughter would do something like that on purpose, so conniving.
“But why?” Sirius asked heartbroken and disappointed with his daughter for entrapping a man that was twenty years her senior.
Smirking, Lucius now was about to hurt Sirius’ Gryffindor sensibilities.
“The baby is to ensure her hand in marriage to Calhoun. Sheridan is after all Slytherin,” Lucius replied. “I must applaud Sheridan, really. She’s done what no other witch or wizard has been able to do—tie down Calhoun into marriage.”
Sirius gaped at Lucius as if he lost what little facilities the blond had left, watching him as he walked-up the stairs leading into the entryway of the castle.
For the more part, Sirius was going to have a long talk with Severus—this was all his bloody fault!
“Damn Slytherin genes,” he grumbled to himself trailing behind Lucius at a much leisurely pace.

The soft ticking of the clock on the mantle, soothe the lone occupant in the vast library with the wide mouth hearth that was dark and cold underneath. With a book in hand, Octavious settled himself on the lounge for a quiet relaxing evening.
Not ten minutes into enjoying his novel, he heard a knock which was preceded by his wife entering.
“Tobias?”
“Eileen, why do you disturb me at such a late hour?” Octavious said through clenched teeth.
She didn’t falter from the unveiled threat of being hexed. “A messenger from the Department of Records came.”
He snapped his book closed. Dark fierce eyes were piercing her own.
“He gave me this.”
Not saying another word, she handed him a scroll of parchment. Breaking the Ministry’s official seal, Octavious sucked in a breath of air.
The rolling script was fine and elegant as the paper it was written upon. Reading the title: New Amendments of Snape Family Tree
Octavious Tobias Snape (b. 1938)Severus Tobias Snape (b. 1960)
soulmate: Sirius Orion Black (b. 1959)
bonded: 1976, officially married: January 1980

Sheridan Celeste Black (b. 1980)
soulmate: Calvin Mercier Calhoun (b. 1958)
bonded: 1994
pending birth of son, estimated date: November 6, 1996
father of unborn child: Calvin Mercier Calhoun
“Oh, my stars!” she exclaimed. “Tobias-”
“Shut up, woman! I’m trying to think,” he yelled. There was only possible scenario and he didn’t care for it not one damn bit.
Grabbing some floo powder from the urn next to the clock; Octavious wasted no time. He called out, “Hogwarts, Headmaster’s office!”
Dumbledore’s head appeared after a few seconds of waiting; the bright twinkle in his blue eyes dimmed only a fraction. “Oh, dear.”
“Indeed.”

Stepping through the door of his ancestral home, Matthew undid the clasp holding his traveling cloak in place around his shoulders as well as removed his riding gloves. The night was a total waste, although he couldn’t fault James for going into labor. Babies just had bad timing.
Going into his study, Matthew went to his liquor cabinet to pour himself a shot of Firewhiskey. He downed it in one go, barely feeling the slow burn of the alcohol. Sitting down in one of the chairs in front of the roaring fire, Matthew’s mind began to drift as his eyes closed of their own accord.
“Father, I didn’t expect you back home. Did everything go as planned?” Calhoun asked walking into the study after one of the house-elves informed him that his father was home.
“I proposed, yes.”
“I hear a ‘but’ coming,” Calhoun stated as he helped himself to a drink as well.
“But there was an emergency at the school. James went into labor. We should be receiving word any time now announcing the new Malfoy heir,” Matthew said explaining away his early appearance for being back home.
“So, Lucien didn’t accept then?”
“He didn’t have ample time to give me a proper answer. He left with Lucius before he could,” Matthew answered with a forced grin.
Calhoun knew that his father had been planning on asking Lucien to marry him for quite a while and then Severus had to him about the annual dinner party that was coming up, Calhoun told his father to propose to Lucien then.
A few moments later their house-elf, Yertle, popped into the study.
“Excuse us, sirs, but Lord Malfoy, Lord Snape and Headmaster Dumbledore is heres.”
Both men stared at each other wondering why Severus and Dumbledore would come to visit them. An owl would have sufficed to inform them about the newborn babe. What was even more puzzling was why Lucius was with them. Shouldn’t he be with his husband and child?
“Show them in, Yertle,” Calhoun said, wanting to get to the bottom of this intrigue.
To both men’s utter surprise, it was Lucien and Octavious coming through the double ornate doors with Albus pulling up the rear.
A foreboding feeling fell over Matthew as a chill went down his spine—nothing good would come of this impromptu meeting especially with Octavious and Lucien.
It was a known fact back when they were at Hogwarts, Lucien and Octavious were dueling partners. The students had a hard enough time fending them off separately but when they dueled juxtapose of one another—they were unbeatable.
He was in no shape to fight.
“Gentlemen, what do we owe the pleasure?” Matthew greeted warmly.
“Would any one care for a drink?” Calhoun offered, feeling the tension in the room as they made themselves comfortable.
“No, thank you,” came the clipped reply from Snape. The Potions master did not look happy at all.
Calhoun would have sworn that Octavious was glaring daggers at him.
“Well, then let’s cut to the chase shall we? Obviously, this is not a social visit, so why are you really here?” Matthew asked.
“Matthew, a delicate matter his arisen concerning Mercier and Miss Sheridan Black,” Dumbledore began.
When no one said a word, Lucien coughed. “Draco and Sheridan… well, that is to say…”
Lucien made a motion with his hands indicating that the teens had relations.
“I didn’t know that they were seeing each other in that type of capacity,” Calhoun commented off-handedly.
“They’re not,” Octavious interjected venomously. “My grandchild takes after her mother in wanting things that they should not have. Therefore, she wasn’t satisfied with her choice of suitors her age. She successfully brewed a Polyjuice potion that was infused with the real life essence of the person she wanted Draco to pose as. In doing so, Sheridan is now pregnant.”
Potions making was beyond their comprehension.
“Okay, Octavious, what does that hav-”
“Sheridan used Mercier’s hair! She’s pregnant with his child not Draco’s!” Octavious shouted jumping out of his seat, unable to maintain his composure.
“Do you know what type of scandal this will cause if this gets out? Regardless of how the pregnancy came about,” Matthew said now standing as well. “Our family name would be ruined—not to mention the bigotry that Sheridan will face by having a child out of wedlock.”
“Which is way I’m here, Matthew,” Octavious silky said, folding his arms across his chest, effectively wrapping his robe around his lithe frame. “We need to keep this out of the public’s eye—therefore Mercier will conduct himself accordingly.”
Blink, blink
“Now, see here, Octavious, you don’t expect me to just… just bind myself to Severus’—to Sheridan,” Calhoun protested. “I will not do it for the sake of propriety—you can forget it!”
Turning to face the other wizard, Octavious said, “Unless you want to deal with my son’s madman of a husband—the current Head of the House of Black—you will do whatever it is necessary to keep our family’s name from being sullied. And trust me; you want have Severus around to stop him from killing you.”
Oh, shite, Calhoun thought, remembering how Sirius nearly beat him to a bloody pulp for flirting with Severus.
“He was actually on his way over here to put you down like an old dog because he thought that you violated his little girl in the worse way imaginable.”
Calhoun paled from the implication of what Octavious said. He would never—
His father had warned him that something like this would happen sooner or later if he didn’t stop his shameful philandering. Leading women and men on and now this was payback for all those broken hearts throughout England and wherever else he had traveled.
Hanging his head in defeat, Calhoun said, “What do you want me to do?”
He had to simply give-in or else Sirius and not to mention Severus, would string him up by the balls and nail them to the nearest wall.
“Well, I think the first order of business would be for you, Mercier, is to propose to Miss Black,” Dumbledore offered. “With a ring, of course, to make it official. Then we’ll proceed with the wedding arrangements.”
Dragging a hand down his face, Calhoun nodded his head walking over to his father’s vast liquor supply. Changing his shot glass for a much larger tumbler and filled it with a rarely used bottle of Ballantine’s—a lightly colored blended Scotch Whiskey he picked-up when he had last visited Edinburgh a few years. It was one of the finest mixes the company has ever produced.
Matthew escorted the other wizards out, leaving his son to his solemn thoughts.
“You know, Octavious, maybe you should have held your wand to his head and threaten to curse him to marry Sheridan,” Matthew snidely commented.
Sharply rounding on Matthew, Octavious snarled, “Mercier is like any other young pure-blood. Doing as he damn well pleases, not caring how they treat others. I warned you years ago, Matt, that nothing good will come of him stringing women along; but like most fathers I supposed, you over indulge him. You never gave Mercier any type of punishment as a consequence to his actions. I’m just surprised that his numerous affairs haven’t awoken his dormant trait.”
“How dare you? This is not his fault because your granddaughter is hot in the ass,” Matthew nearly shouted and regretted instantly saying those words.
SLAP!
“I would hate to terminate our friendship, Matthew, because of a few misspoken words. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must prepare my son for the fallout of this shite-storm that has been set into motion.”
Octavious swiftly walked down the end of the drive and disapparated with a loud crack.
“Gentlemen, I will see you both soon,” Albus said leaving as well.
Quicksilver orbs stared into crimson ones.
“Lucien, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say that,” Matthew said rubbing his still throbbing cheek.
“I’m not the one you should be apologizing too, Matthew. How would you feel if your so-called best-friend called your grandchild to two-bit whore?”
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Really? Because that's what it sounded like to me,” Lucien countered. He was extremely pissed-off with his lover for that faux pas comment.
“Please, Luc, I don’t want to argue with you,” Matthew begged.
“Fine. I’ll see you in the morning.”
Lucien left without another word or even a kiss good-bye, leaving Matthew standing alone outside of his house.
The pure-blood hung his head in shame and slunk back indoors to lick his wounds. He now knew with those devastating words that his marriage proposal was being thrown out the window right along with his relationship and quite possibly his friendship with Octavious.
If there was a bright side to all of this, he was delighted to be gaining a daughter-in-law with a grandchild on the way.
oOoOoOo
By night fall Severus was up and about—disregarding Madame Pomfrey’s protests of him leaving her care for the privacy of his own rooms. She insisted that he remained for at the very least another day, strictly for observation; but Severus was not having any of it. He needed time to himself to digest the information about his daughter and come to terms with his own pregnancy.
Never really giving a bit of thought of having any more offspring, Severus always believed he would never conceive again. He placed his hand on his flat stomach once the medi-witch had left him alone.
Merlin! What do I do now? the Potions master pondered. He was close to pulling out his hair. How was he supposed to deal with this and Sheridan?
And thinking of Sheridan, Severus’ slight smile turned into a frown.
Severus about-faced from the exit, walking down the short hallway to another set of doors, knocking lightly. Steeling his nerves, he wasn’t quite sure how broach the subject with her. She purposely wanted a baby and for the life of him, he could fathom why. Had it been a simple childish crush on Calhoun was one thing, but too intentionally to snare the man by begetting a baby was something altogether entirely different.
Hearing the timid, “Enter,” Severus now found himself facing one of many hurtles of having a pregnant teenager. He was just fortunate that Sirius wasn’t here. Now as he thought more on it, he wondered not for the first time where his husband had ran off too. He didn’t seem pleased at all with the fact the paternity test revealed that Calhoun was the sire of their daughter’s forthcoming little bundle. He couldn’t exclaim ‘bundle of joy’ because the situation was not a joyous one. At best, it was strained and tense, and Severus didn’t like for his family to be disjointed in such a way.
Over the years, while Sirius was in Azkaban, Severus made it a point to make sure that Orion and Sheridan were able to talk to him about anything, which had included talking about boys, girls, and their feelings on relationships in general. In some way, he felt that he somehow failed as a parent and allowed his baby girl to want to be free of the responsibility of being the second heir apparent to both the Black and Snape’s family fortunes.
It would be a considerable amount of time before she would gain (if ever) the title of Matriarch to either estates—providing if Orion sired children or not.
“Mum?”
He was brought out of his inner musings by the timid call of his name.
Sitting down next to her on the bed, Severus wasn’t quite sure where to begin in wanting to understand her reasoning behind this whole debacle.
“Mum, I’m sorry.”
Sheridan was tearing up again. He couldn’t bear the sight of her crying in front of him. He loathed tears. For one, it showed one’s vulnerability. Secondly, tears just didn’t move him as they did with Sirius as kids felt that it was a way to get out of whatever trouble they had found themselves in to begin with.
However, with his daughter being the one in trouble, he had to remember that he too fifteen years ago found himself along with his parents and then boyfriend sitting in the Headmaster’s office announced to all present that he was with child and unmarried to boot. Be that as it may, he and Sirius were adults (twenty-one in fact) and both of them were working, not living off of their inheritance or (Merlin forbid) living with his parents.
So, he couldn’t be upset with Sheridan.
“I just need to know, Sheridan. Did Cal, ever… did he ever touch you in any way that was improper or uncomfortable to you,” Severus asked.
Onyx orbs widen beyond their sockets. “No, no! Never! Besides, Father never left him alone with me or Ori. Actually, Father didn’t let us out if his sight for any length of time when we went out together and he made sure that we stayed in our rooms, warded of course, when guesses came to the manor,” Sheridan answered alleviating Severus’ or for that matter, any parent’s fear of their child being molested.
Through the years, he’d seen it too many times to count of either a relative or a closed family friend sexually assaulting Hogwarts age students. In most cases, the children in question haven’t even received acceptance letters. It was a frightening thought that people the children trusted would do something so horrific.
Sheridan couldn’t believe that her mother asked that type of question, but she continued not allowing him to say anything. “I… There was is something that pulled him to me and I knew that you and Dad would be not pleased if I came to you to talk about me having a crush or having any type of non-platonic feelings toward Mr. Calhoun.”
Ack! It was weird calling him mister.
Severus sat-up straighter. He did not like where this conversation was heading or how his daughter was describing her feelings toward the other man—it was very disconcerting.
“Sheridan, you’re only fifteen,” Severus began.
“I know, Mum, but it started out as nothing more than me being a hormonal teenager.”
“But?”
“But I wanted more,” she finally said. “After a couple of times of me making the Polyjuice potion… I knew that if I wanted the real Calhoun I had to guarantee that I would have him lock, stock, and barrel.”
By Merlin’s beard! It couldn’t be, could it?
On the verge of having a panic attack, Severus then ask, “How do you feel when you see Cal, sweetie?”
A deep crimson hue appeared on Sheridan face. Severus couldn’t believe that the mention of thinking about Calhoun had his little girl blushing! It was worse than he originally had perceived.
“I’m not sure I should tell you something so personal, Mum, but it feels like my heart is going to beat right out of chest when I see him or hear his voice.”
Standing, Severus needed to talk with Sirius—immediately!
“Mum?”
She was a bit concerned on how pallid he became and how his eyes lost focus.
“Sheridan, you…Calhoun… Oh, my-” His breathing was coming out in short pants. His vision wavered.
The door to Sheridan’s private room opened admitting her father in plenty of time to catch her mum as he passed out cold.
“What happened?” Sirius said alarmed as Sheridan vacated her bed to help. “No, Sher! I don’t want you exerting yourself. Go get Poppy!”
Placing Severus on the bed, Sirius began gently tapping him on the face.
“Sev, come-on, babe, wake-up,” Sirius pleaded. In two days, Severus fainted. Sirius hoped that this wasn’t from him begin pregnant. If it came down to his husband’s life and his unborn child’s, he would always choose Severus—always. Their bond was too strong. He couldn’t live without Severus.
Maybe it was time for them to discuss possibly terminating the pregnancy. Madame Pomfrey rushed in with Sheridan right behind her.
“What happened?” she asked.
“I… uh… I don’t know. When I walked in he was going down,” Sirius explained.
Poppy swiftly examined Severus.
Tutting and shaking her at the professor’s stubbornness, she said, “His blood pressure is a bit high and heart rate is elevated somewhat… Oh, I warned him not to move about just yet, but no, he would not hear of it,” the medi-witch complained.
“You released him?”
“I had no choice, Sirius. He was determined to not stay here under any circumstances,” Poppy answered. “You know how your husband is, Sirius.”
“Yeah, I know.” Running fingers through long wavy hair, Sirius sighed. What in Merlin’s name was his husband thinking?
“Is it okay for me to take him back to our rooms?”
Poppy looked ready to protest, but she relented.
“Very well. Once he wakes he can leave. Only under the condition that he can walk on his own without your help and Sheridan can leave as well.”
Giving the medi-witch a hug, Sirius sat down on the vacated chair with Sheridan sitting next to him. Poppy silently closed the door behind her giving them some privacy.

A/N: Well, tell me what you think. I know this chapter was a kind of long but I had a lot of say. Hopefully, some of your questions were answered. Does any think that Lucien will break-up with Matt? Will Octavious stop speaking to Matt because of what he said about Sheridan? Will Sirius ask Severus to abort his pregnancy? Don’t know? Well, stay tuned for the next chapter.

Not knowing what else to say, Sheridan crossed the room to him intending on walking him out. He lifted a hand to her face, gently caressing it.
“I didn’t get an opportunity to ask you, Sheridan, as strange as this came about, I think that Fate has a twisted sense of humor wouldn’t you agree?”
“What do you mean?” she whispered her face growing hot from being in close proximity of him.
He leaned in closer to her. “Fate… it would seem set us to be born at the wrong time. You knew without even realizing it, but you knew.”
