Pitt: Every time I look for new chap of A/M there’s only 70 chaps up an I already read more then that. You know what’s going on?

Chapter 28 Nina makes a stand
“What do you mean you ‘don’t know‘?” He mocked.
“I…I’m not sure what you said.”
“So your hearing is going along with your ability to understand a simple question.“
“No, it’s not. But when you get angry and start yelling at me, you word things so that I don’t know what the safest way to answer you is without getting my backside whacked.”
She turned a petulant face to him. “And….and I don’t think I should have it whacked now.”
As on previous occasions, he leaned over her and held onto the arms of her chair, his face almost touching hers.
“Is that so?” His voice was quiet. Purring.
She nodded.
“And perhaps ‘I’ think that I might enjoy giving your bottom a good spanking.” ‘Oh and wouldn’t I just.’ He thought.
“Eek” Was all she managed to squeak.
Severus stepped back from her a little.
“However, on this occasion, I am willing to overlook your misbehaviour. But¾
only this one. Any more infractions on your part and I shall not….hold myself back. I do hope that was clear enough for you to understand.”
He raised both eyebrows at her as he spoke.
“Yes Sir.”
Nina was gritting her teeth when she answered him.
“Good. You may go.” He turned and walked around his desk, seating himself and picking up some parchments, ignoring her.
Nina looked at him for a moment, stunned. She hadn’t meant to but she had caught his thoughts when he had admitted to himself that he would like to spank her. And now he was just telling her to go as if she didn’t even matter.
She frowned as she got off the chair and walked to the door, muttering as she went. Just as she was about to step through Severus heard her mumbled comment of “sarcastic, miserable bastard.”
As she slammed the door behind her she ran into Draco.
“Oh. Someone looks to be in a bad mood.”
“Sorry Draco, and yes I am.”
“Anything I can help you with?“
“No. Not really. Why are you dressed like that?”
Quiddich practice. Wanna come and watch?”
“So long as I don’t have to go on a blasted sweeping brush to. Yes.”
He laughed at that remark. “No. Not if you don’t want to. Have you ever actually tried flying? ”
“Once. But I had a lousy flying teacher. Come on.”
Severus was already narked that she had just opened the door so easily when he had not yet unwarded it and had flown from his chair in a rage when he had heard what she had called him under her breath. He knew she had not meant him to hear it, but he had. Now he was really going to give her one hell of a spanking. He had just put his hand to the doorknob when he heard Malfoy’s voice. He cast a listening spell so that he could hear them clearly. He chuckled to himself when she said ‘blasted sweeping brush’ but grew angry again when she had told Malfoy that she had a ‘lousy flying teacher’. ‘She would keep.’ But he would have to be careful. He wanted her. Badly. And he was finding it harder to contain himself. So he dealt with it the only way he knew how. He kept her at a distance as much as he could, emotionally. It was difficult.
Nina and Draco walked down to the quiddich pitch. I never heard of this game till I came hear. Do you really play right up there?”
She pointed to the hoops at one end of the pitch.
“Yep. So you’ve never seen anyone play then?”
She shook her head.
“Your in for a treat then. Go sit in the stands and we’ll be out in a bit.”
Nina had sat down and was thinking that Draco clearly didn’t know about what had happened when she and the Professor had lunch with his father, when the team flew out onto the pitch, taking her by surprise. She had never seen anyone fly before. Well, except for herself, but then she had been too terrified to think of anything but the fact that the Professor was going to kill them both.
Draco flew directly to her and hovered. You sure you don’t want to have a go? I’ll go slow and keep close enough to the ground that you can jump off if you want to.”
“No. Thanks but no. I’d rather just watch.”
“Ok. Suit yourself. But shout if you change your mind.”
After giving her a big cheesy grin, he whizzed off to join his team.
Nina hadn’t even thought about the fact that she was still wearing the cashmere dress she had donned that morning. She was sitting quite high in the stands and when she had sat down her dress had ridden up to her thighs. Nor did she know how distracting she looked to the Slytherin males, who were more intent on flying at a level that might enable them to get a peep up her dress rather then concentrating on their quiddich moves. In a world of her own, she sat thinking about the family that she and Severus had rescued that afternoon and the young girl who could quite easily have had her life torn apart. Scaly had, had plans for the girl that evening. Nina had not told anyone about that.
Draco began to get suspicious after Blaize Zabini dropped the quaffle for the fifth time and Goyle seemed to be craning his neck as if someone had loosened the bolts that held his head on, Draco called a halt to ask them what the hell was going on.
Zabini smirked at him and nodded his head towards Nina.
“Your friend Draco. Damn but she’s hot.”
Draco turned his head to where she was sitting and realised with a shock what had gotten them so hot and bothered. She was sitting staring into space, her lips slightly parted and her hands resting on the bench beside her. Her knees were slightly apart and she was swinging her legs back and forth as she was thinking. Also her nipples were very prominent.
He whipped out his wand and said. “Accio Nina’s cloak.” A couple of minutes later her cloak came flying across the pith and directly into Draco’s waiting arms.
Nina hadn’t even noticed, so lost was she in her own musings.
When Draco appeared in front of her and tossed the cloak onto her knees she let out a small yell of surprise.
“Thanks.” She called after him as she stood and put it on.
“You looked a bit chilled.” He told her with a smile before heading back to the others and allowing a frown to form on his face.
“Now, can we get on with the bloody game?” He growled.
There were a few black looks from his team mates but they got back to practicing now that there was nothing too interesting for them to see anymore.
After twenty minutes Nina was bored. Fifteen minutes after that she was very bored. After a total of forty five minutes she thought that she would fall asleep with boredom.
Draco got a surprise when a small piece of parchment kept trying to hit him in the face. He kept wafting it away as he tried to concentrate on the game but it persisted. In the end he got mad and grabbed it. He screwed it up in his hand and it cried out “Ouch!” Shocked, he nearly dropped it. “Try reading me.” Said the voice.
He smoothed it out and it said “That’s much better.” Causing the boy to smirk. It was a note from Nina.
Draco. Sorry. Feeling tired.
Gone back inside.
See you later.
Nina.
He folded the note this time and put it in his pocket as he glanced over to the stands where she had been sitting.
Not knowing what to do with herself she headed back to her rooms.
Unfortunately, she had forgotten all about the Potions Master.
Severus had lost none of his previous desire to punish her. Snape style. In fact he was quite looking forward to it. He had caught up on all of his schoolwork and was waiting in his armchair near the fire, a Firewiskey in his hand.
He felt her coming. He did not know how or why, but he did.
Nina, still lost in thought was walking passed his study door when she was grabbed suddenly, tipped sideways, held under the Potion Masters arm and pulled inside. She hung there stunned for a moment as he locked and warded the door, followed by a silencing spell. He stalked over to his armchair and sat down, flinging her over his knee as he did.
!Noooo!” She yelled at him. “You said you wouldn’t. You said.”
She was yelling at him and struggling, but to no avail. His hold on her was firm.
“That was before your little outburst of insults as you were leaving. And the slamming of my door. And your comments about me to Mr Malfoy.”
“What comments? And I didn’t even mention you to Draco. And you had been yelling at me. I can’t help what I think and you weren’t meant to hear it anyway. Now get off me. It’s not fair.”
He looked down. I the struggle her dress had ridden up over her hips and he had a lovely view of her perfect round bottom, encased only in a pair of flesh coloured knickers. ‘Gods I am going to enjoy this.’ He thought.
He raised his hand and was about to bring it down.
Nina had felt his body tense slightly. She knew what he was about to do. But Nina had had enough. It wasn’t fair as far as she was concerned. She heard the movement of his arm as it began it’s downward journey to her backside.
“Veto. Statim.”
I forbid. Immediately.
She whispered.
No one was more surprised then Severus when his hand was halted mid swing. He raised it and tried again. Once more it stopped mid swing.
“What did you do?” He hissed at her.
“I stopped you. That’s what I did. I’ve had enough of this.”
His grip had loosened in surprise and she had taken her opportunity as soon as it presented itself. She wriggled hard and fell on the floor at his feet. He made a grab for her but, using her hands and feet as leverage she shufftied backwards on her bum.
“No!…No!No!No! I won’t let you.” She sobbed.
“It is not for you to decide. I am, and shall always be the master in any….this relationship.” He told her. His face was set in a scowl. Rage pouring from his eyes.
She got to her knees and stood, pulling her dress down as she did.
“No. That’s not fair. It’s not. We’re supposed to care for each other the same. But then you get yourself in a good old strop and I end up with a sore bum. Well I’m not gonna let you keep doing that. I’m not a little child throwing a tantrum. I don’t need to have my bum smacked. If you need to shout at me then shout. But not this. Please. I’ve done nothing to you. I’ve never tried to hurt you. I wouldn’t.”
She was crying in earnest by now. But they were angry tears. Nina was the proverbial ‘Worm that Turned.’ Even though she knew that he didn’t intend to abuse her as her Uncle had, she did not want him to punish her like this every time he considered she’d done something wrong.
He stared at her aghast. ‘How dare she speak to him this way. No one spoke to him like this. No one would dare. His voice turned dangerous.
“You have constantly disobeyed me, insulted me, forced me into doing things that I did not wish to do. You have even made me think that you were dead. And you believe that you have not hurt me.”
“Amor Omnibus Idem”
Love is the same for all.
She told him softly as her tears slowed and dropped gently to the floor.
“How can we ever….show each other our love if we keep arguing and you keep putting me over you knee every time? I have never meant to hurt you. Why do you want to hurt me?”
His face relaxed and his eyes lost their had glint. He knew, deep down inside of himself that she was right.
“I do not wish to hurt you.” He told her. “But I am not, I have never been, the kind of man who would submit to any witch. Nor have I ever considered any witch as my equal. I am by nature a dark wizard Nina. I cannot change that.”
“But your not. Don’t you see. When you saved my life in the library, you didn’t do it with darkness. You did it with light. A truly dark wizard would not, could not have done that.”
Severus held his eyes to hers as he wondered how such a wise head had grown on such a young body. It was time for him to start truly looking into himself. Nina’s held her arms out to him and he left his seat and went to her, embracing her as she held him tight, her cheek against his chest as he laid his in the top of her head.
“Amor Omnibus Idem”
He repeated her previous words to him.
They stayed that way for a while until they were disturbed by a tap tapping.
They raised their heads to see a large eagle owl waiting outside his window. Severus knew who’s owl it was. Malfoy’s.
He walked over to the wind owl and opened it. The owl landed gracefully on Severus’ desk and held out it’s leg to Nina, who was nearest to it. She looked to Severus. The last owl she had met had shit on her food but this one looked rather mean as well as being much bigger then the others she had seen hear.
“He will not hurt you. He is too well trained for that.” Severus wanted her to learn how to remove the missives from the post owls. “Put your hand out to him slowly and untie the cord around his leg.”
Nina gave the Potions master a doubtful look and took a step closer to the owl. She stared onto it’s eyes as she raised her hand, ready to whip it back if the owl tried to take a bite out of her.
Instead the owl bowed it’s head and brushed against her hand as if it wanted her to pet him.
She did. The Malfoy owl all but collapsed on the desk as she stroked it’s feathers and whispered softly to it.
Severus was amazed. He knew that Malfoy’s owl had never behaved in this fashion. It was an arrogant creature, just like it’s owner and Lucius would have been enraged to see his owl behaving in such a fashion.
“I think you should stop doing that now or the bloody bird will fall in love with you. If it has not already done so.”
He was smirking.
The owl gave him a glare and held his leg back out as she stopped petting it. Before she had the chance to unfasten the cord that held the letters in place the owl bent his head and pulled on the cord himself, loosening it and passing two rolled pieces of parchment to her.
She told him thank you and gave him a small chuck under the chin before it gave her a grateful look and took off through the window flying so closely over the Potion Masters head that he had to duck to avoid getting clawed. He pulled the window down rather firmly before turning back to Nina.
“It would seem that you have made a new friend.” He told her with a raised eyebrow.
“Yeah. I didn’t realise how soft and friendly they were.”
“The Malfoy owl is neither soft nor friendly. If Lucius had seen his owl behaving in such a fashion he would kill it instantly.”
“That was slobber gob’s owl? Here then, you better have these.”
She passed him the two parchments as he grinned at her nickname for Lucius.
He passed one of the letters back to her.
“This one is for you.” He told her.
“Me. But I don’t get letters. Ever.”
She took the scroll and studied it before she opened it, slowly and carefully. This was the first letter she had had in her life and even if it was from someone she didn’t like, she wanted to enjoy this moment. Her first letter. It was a big deal for her.
Severus had already read his and had a pretty good idea that Nina’s would be the same.
“It’s an invitation.” She read it with a bit of difficulty since her reading lessons had stopped at primary level. “To Halloween party. At his house.”
She told him with surprise. “Why did it have to be him. I’m not going. What did you get?”
“The same. And no you shall not be attending. Come. We shall have to inform the Headmaster.”
She followed him as he strode through the door and along the passage that led out of the dungeons, running to keep up with him.
“Will you please slow down a bit. My legs aren’t as long as yours you know.”
He stopped and turned to see her dashing to catch up. He gave a small grin.
“No. But they are much more attractive.” He purred.
She went red. “Stop it.” She told him.
He looked around to make sure that they were alone before he leaned down to her and whispered in her ear. “No.”
Before turning and moving on. Considerably slower this time.
“Your really mean you know that.”
“I do. So mean that I shall make you blush at every opportunity.”
Nina kept her vividly red face on the stone floor as they continued their way to the stone gargoyle.
She brightened considerably at the sight of the gargoyle as she waited to hear him say the password. She knew he hated saying them.
He attempted to put his hands over her ears but she sidestepped him.
“My turn to see you blush.”
He scowled at her for a moment. He could see that her lips were already twitching in anticipation. Even the bloody gargoyle was grinning manically. Worse, this one had to be sung. Oh how he hated Albus at this moment. As quietly as he could he began it sing in a deep baritone voice.
“Only the crumbliest,
flakiest chocolate.
Tastes like chocolate never tasted before.”
Before Nina could do anything, Severus had picked her up, clamped a hand over her mouth, leaving her nose clear so that she could still breath, and marched up the stairs to Albus’ office. He did not wait for the staircase to take them up.
“Hmph mfp hmm humph.” (Let me go you great oaf)
Was what Albus heard as Severus barged through the door. The potions Master flung himself down onto a chair and deposited Nina on his lap, one arm around her arms and body as his other hand remained clamped over her mouth.
“Severus. What on earth has happened?” Albus was quickly rising from his chair, while looking appalled at a struggling red faced Nina.
“Your stupid bloody passwords Albus. That is what has happened. Either you begin to use something sensible or I shall not come up here any more. This little chit has conniptions every time she hears me have to humiliate myself with them.”
“Mmm pfm fmp hmh mph. Hmm.” (I am not a chit. Huh.)
“I think that first Severus you need to let her breath.”
“She can breath. Her nose is clear.” He growled. Although he did wish that she would stop wriggling on his lap like that. For obvious reasons.
“If she can breath, then why is she so red?”
Nina was red but not because she couldn’t breath. It was because she had just felt the effect her wriggling on the Potion Masters lap had caused. She stilled. Afraid to make it any worse than it was. Although by the feel of it, it couldn’t get any worse.
Feeling uncomfortable now, Severus removed his hand from her mouth. His arm however, remained around her body.
Albus had noticed the faint spots of colour on the Professors face. He had also noticed the way that Nina had suddenly stropped squirming on Severus’ knee. He decided that tact would be prudent at the moment.
“You are obviously here for a reason. However, if you would excuse me for just a few minutes and then I shall return.”
The Headmaster left through a door to the left of his desk. Thus giving the couple a chance to compose themselves.
“If I let you go are you going to behave?” He growled.
“Yes. Of course I am.” She gave a little wiggle. “Are you?”
“Gods. Don’t do that.” He hissed. “Your making it worse.” He practically shoved her off hi knee.
Nina moved herself to the next chair as he stood and turned away from her, trying to adjust himself.
“By the way.“ She giggled quietly. “You have a lovely singing voice.” She tried very hard to keep her expression serious as she told him that but her eyes gave her away as the tears spilled down her face. Tears of laughter that is.
“He gave her a dirty look as he sat back down just as Albus re-entered the room.
“Now. You wished to see me. I assume it was not just to complain about my passwords.”
“No Headmaster it was not. We have both received invites to attend a Halloween party at Malfoy Mansion. We know the real purpose of these invites.”
“Do we?” Nina asked.
Albus looked at her over his glasses. His face serious.
“Miss…Nina. The reason for this invite is not because Lord Malfoy thought it would be nice just to throw a party for his friends.”
“Well I guessed that Sir. And I definitely don’t think he sees me as a friend. Or Professor Snape for that matter. So what does he really want.?”
“First you must promise that you will not attempt to do anything, or go anywhere without express permission from both the Headmaster and myself.” Severus told her.
“It’s that revel of scaly’s isn’t it? That’s what the invites are for.”
“Promise.” He told her again.
“Okay. I promise. But you have to promise that if I do need to go, that you won’t stop me. I can take you with me again. But If I have to go then you both have to let me.” She narrowed her eyes at Severus. “And no threats of….well, you know what because I wont let you do it any more.”
“Very well, I shall consider it.” He told her.
Nina knew that was the best she would get from him and turned to Albus, who was looking slightly confused.
“Sir?”
“The same as Severus of course my dear.”
This reply seemed to be the safest option to him, since he was not entirely sure as to what she was not allowing the Potions Master to do.
“Okay. So it is the revel then. And that means that he’s gonna have more muggles there doesn’t it?”
Both men nodded to her with intent expressions.
Severus added.
“You…We shall not be making any more rescue missions in the meantime.”
“We might not have a choice. I wont rest knowing that there might be others, children there waiting for him to do what he wants to them. You know I can’t, wont be able to leave it. And it wouldn‘t be fair of both of you to expect me to.”
“She has a point Severus. Several in fact.”
“I know Albus, but she cannot keep popping in and out to rescue the Dark Lords prisoners as if she were visiting an ice cream parlour. He will already be on his guard now.”
In fact, Voldemort was more then on guard. He was livid. He had no idea how his prisoners had just disappeared. He was adamant that some of his Death Eaters were responsible. But he had no idea which ones and he had been using the Cruciatus on them as if it was going out of fashion. And he was still waiting on information on that stupid girl. Plus he had not been able to summon Snape. He knew that he wasn’t dead because Malfoy had seen him. But why wasn’t he answering his summons.
A great many of his Death Eaters had been sent away licking their wounds and wondering what on earth had sent their Lord into such a fit of rage. Still, most of them agreed that the Dark Lord did not need an excuse to go on a torture rampage, and none were about to question him about it.
“If you let me…oh don’t look at me like that. I ‘m asking for permission.” She told Severus. “If I can just have a quick peep now, while both of you are here, we might have a better idea what he’s doing. Please”
She looked at them both hopefully.
Albus nodded to Severus, who in turn sighed and turned to Nina.
“Very well. But not for long. And do not get any idea’s about rushing in for another rescue mission. Understood.”
“Okay.” She told him exasperatedly.
The two men watched her, as once again her eyes took on that red hue. It gave Severus the creeps when they did that. It was too reminiscent of Voldemort himself. He wondered it they did that every time or only when she was watching Voldemort.
Ten minutes later Nina came back into focus with a smirk on her face.
“Well he hasn’t got anyone else yet.”
Both men let out a sigh of relief.
“But that’s not all.” They looked at her again. “He’s in a right foul mood. He hasn’t got a clue what happened to those people we rescued and he’s blaming all his soldiers and pointing g his wand at them and giving them the Cruciatus thing. But he’s still none the wiser. None of ‘em are best pleased with him. He‘s mad too because he hasn‘t found anything out about me yet. He‘s also been trying to summon you.” She turned back to Severus. “He knows your alive but he can‘t figure out how your resisting when he calls you. Apparently he‘s been calling you constantly. He‘s really pis…err, angry about that.”
“Well. It would seem that you chose a good time to, ah, call Nina.” Albus’ eyes were twinkling when he spoke.
She grinned. Glad that she had got it right this time.
“Indeed.” As to the revel. I feel that we should discuss it nearer to the time Headmaster.”
“I quite agree.”
“But why not now. We can…”
Severus scowled at her. “No, It is enough for today. I think that you also might wish to shower and change before dinner. We shall see you later Albus and please, do something about that damned password. I refuse to sing to that idiotic grinning gargoyle of yours again. Good day.”
He steered a chuckling Nina out of the door.
“Now what are you giggling at you silly girl?”
“I’m not silly, and you just reminded me about the ‘crumbliest flakiest chocolate.” She laughed. Ducking her head as he took a light hearted swipe at her.
She continued to sing the little ditty to herself all the way back to the dungeons. In between short snorts of laughter.
When they reached his quarters he opened his door and turned to her.
“I do hope that you can pull yourself together before dinner. Oh and by the way.”
She peered up at him as he spoke.
“Do you know that you sound just like a pig when you snort like that.”
He grinned and shut the door in her face.
“Arggh” I do not.” She shouted at the door.
She wasn’t laughing quite as hard when she entered her rooms. She wasn’t sure if he was joking or if he had just insulted her.
“It only took her twenty minutes to get showered and dressed but it was another hour before dinner. She thought about going to see Hermione; but if her friend was in the library, then Nina didn’t want to go there. Instead, she smiled as she thought about Harry and Ron.
It was only when she felt water splashing on her face that she realised both boys, along with several others were standing naked in front of her in the showers.
Who went the reddest and who screamed the loudest she never knew as she Apperated straight into the Griffindor common room.
“Hello Nina. What are you doing here? And why are you all red? Is something wrong?”
“Hermione. Oh God. Something awful just happened.”
“What? It can’t be as bad as what’s happening up there.” She indicated the direction of the boys dormitories.
Nina flopped onto the arm of Hermione’s chair.
“That’s just it. I thought you might be in the library and I was fed up so I thought of Harry and Ron.”
“Oh. So you gave them a fright.” Hermione grinned.
“Worse.“ Nina told her. “They were erm, in the shower. Along with several others.”
Hermione stared at her for a moment before bursting into hysterics.
“You didn’t?”
“Yeah. I did. And they were…you know….naked.” She finished in a whisper.
Harry, Ron and about four more very red faced boys eventually came into the common room to find Hermione and Nina laughing hysterically.
“Oh great. She’s told Hermione. Who else is she gonna tell?” Ron asked Harry. “Soon the whole school will know which of us has got the biggest wanger.”
The girls laughed even harder when they heard that although Hermione managed to control her self enough to ask Nina. “Which one is it then?”
Nina, unable to speak any longer, pointed at Dean Thomas, then put a finger to Hermione’s temple to show her the shot scene, before they collapsed into laughter again.
The boys meanwhile were busy arguing that no, Dean didn’t have the biggest while he stated that he now had undeniable proof. Thanks to Nina.
It was two very giggly, flush faced girls, one very smug Dean and five very disgruntled boys that walked into the Great Hall that evening.
“Why don’t you sit with us?” Hermione asked her.
“I better not. I’ll leave you to deal with this lot. Besides, I have a bone to pick with someone.” She grinned.
“Oh thank you very much.“ Hermione laughed.
Nina went to her usual seat next to Severus.
“You seem in high spirits again. Has someone else been revealing their hidden talent to you?”
She almost choked at his choice of words and he had to pat her on the back.
“You could say that.” She told him. “But they weren’t singing. More a …baring of souls.” She snickered to herself.
He looked at her curiously with a raised eyebrow, but made no further comment. He could always find out later.
Dinner passed without incident.
Well, apart from the occasional snicker whenever she caught Hermione’s eye. She forgot all about taking him to task about calling her a pig.
