Well, it's time for another year at Hogwarts. Our lovers haven't seen each other in almost 3 months. Have feelings changed? Snape's the new Headmaster, how will that effect his relationship with Ginny. Do they still even have a relationship?
"I am going back to Hogwarts." Ginny tossed her flame red hair angrily over her shoulder, her light brown eyes glared at her mother.
"I don't know, Ginny." Molly said softly. "Your father and I have been thinking that it's just too dangerous. Dumbledore's dead. Severus Snape is the Headmaster. Hermione, Harry and your brother are Merlin knows where….."
"Did you not read this?" Ginny hissed, shoving her Hogwarts letter towards Molly. "Attendance is Mandatory. Mum," Ginny sighed, softening her voice, "it will be hard enough to keep up the lie that Ron has Spattergroit. It will just be too suspicious if I'm not there too. I don't want to risk the family anymore. I'll be fine." She insisted at the worried look on her Mum's face.
"We'll see Ginny." Molly muttered, turning away.

Severus Snape paced nervously across the floor of the Headmaster's office. Even though it was his office now, he had made no changes to the room.
"And how exactly am I supposed to keep the students safe? Thicknesse has appointed Amycus and Alecto Carrow as Deputy Headmasters. He has placed them in charge of discipline."
"I cannot answer that, Severus." Dumbledore's voice spoke patiently from his portrait. "But you will do it. And you will protect all of the students, not just the one closest to your heart."
Severus blanched as he stared towards the painting. "And what exactly do you mean by that statement?"
"I am speaking of your attachment to the youngest Weasley child, Ginevra."
"How do you know about that?" Snape eyes widened in shock.
"I did not truly know until just now." Dumbledore said mildly. "I merely suspected, but your face now tells me that my suspicions where correct."
"I suppose you would deny me the little bit of comfort and happiness I have managed to find in my miserable life?"
"Certainly not, Severus. As long as you remember that your number one priority is and remains your promise and obligation to me. Nothing, no one life, is more important than that."
"As if I could ever forget." Snape muttered, his voice disgusted. "I must go. The students will be arriving shortly."
Snape's stomach churned as he made his way to the Great Hall. Most people who thought they knew him would be surprised by the turmoil inside of him. He had no desire to be the most hated person in the Wizarding world and he knew he was exactly that, he was the cold blooded murderer of the sainted Albus Dumbledore. He knew that in most people's eyes he was even worse then The Dark Lord himself. His heart was pounding as he entered the hall and took his seat at the long table.
As he sat through the sorting ceremony and the feast, he tried to see her. He caught glimpses of red hair at the Gryffindor table, but his direct view to her was blocked by other students. His mouth was dry and his stomach clenched when he thought about how much she must hate him. Hate him for what he had done to Dumbledore and then to her brother. Even though he knew she could never again care for him, his heart still ached for her. His fingers itched to touch her, his skin longed to feel her pressed against him.
When the plates and goblets disappeared, he could put off the moment no longer. As he approached the podium, the boos and mutters of 'murderer' cut him to the quick. He stood for a moment, staring down at the student body. Unfortunately, or possibly fortunately, she was still blocked from his line of sight. He listened to the boos and mutters for a moment longer.
"Yer a murderer" An unknown voice rang out loudly from the vicinity of the Gryffindor table.
"Settle down." He roared, his deep baritone voice reverberated through the stone room. He waited until a relative quiet had fallen over the room.
"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding. The new ministry regime has appointed me as your new Headmaster."
Boos and shouts of "killer", "murderer" fluttered around the room.
"Silence!" He stood for a moment trying to fight back the bile that had risen in his gorge. "As I am sure most of you are aware or will have realized, Hogwarts from hence forth will bear very little resemblance to the school once headed by my predecessor, Albus Dumbledore." He was forced to pause again as more shouted insults rang out from points around the room.
"There will be new house rules that your heads of house will go over with you after breakfast tomorrow morning and before classes start. It is up to each and every one of you to be familiar with these rules. Failure to adhere to them will result in dire consequences. Allow me to introduce Amycus and Alecto Carrow." The brother and sister Death Eaters stood for a moment before returning to their seats. "Along with teaching Dark Arts and Muggle studies, they have been appointed as my new Deputy Head Masters and are in charge of discipline. Corporeal punishment is no longer a forbidden practice. I strongly suggest you do nothing to incur the need for punishment." Snape gripped the edges of the podium, struggling to hide the tremors in his hands. He could no longer bear to face the angry students before him. "The feast is over; please make your way to your dormitories." He muttered quickly before leaving the head table in a flurry of billowing robes.
Trying desperately to appear calm, Snape took long strides down the aisle between the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor tables. His heart beat quickened as the saw Ginny talking softly with Neville Longbottom.
"Follow me Ms. Weasley." He said and continued towards the doors.
"What's that about, I wonder?" Neville whispered, his voice worried.
"Probably just wants to ask me if I know where Harry is." She muttered, hurrying to follow after him. "I'll see you later." She called over her shoulder.
Ginny trotted after Snape's billowing robes as he headed towards the main staircase. He had not looked back at her. When they past the sixth floor and continued heading upstairs, she began to get an idea of their destination. When they reached the seventh floor corridor she paused, trying to catch her breath, as he paced back and forth three times across from tapestry depicting Barnabus the Barmy and the dancing trolls. The door opened and he stood back, ushering her inside.
