Cache frowned as he saw several gloomy students in the hallways, "This isn't right." He said, hating that so many kids were hurt and scared because of these recent happenings.
"Poor babies." Trocar whimpered heartbrokenly from under his cloak as they quickly made their way to the headmistress' s office.
The consistent gloom extended all the way from the dungeons, where Cache and Trocar flooed into via Severus fireplace, to the children sitting on the stairs outside the Headmistress's office waiting to ask for case details. Lyra and Libra decide to stay on the stairs with the kids to try and get their minds off what was going on as the Trocar and Cache went towards the statue hiding the headmistress's office. They knew they were expected so Cache said the password to make the statue move. It also seemed wise to keep the vampire from lingering too long in one place for too long to avoid being discovered before an explanation was given.
It was not what this school was meant to be. Hogwarts was supposed to be safe for everyone. The students should never be afraid, but here they were. Everyone was questioning their safety in the supposedly safest place in the magical realm. It was a line of gossip already extending far beyond the school too. The appearance of Arthur Weasley was proof of that …
Trocar didn't feel like being spotted by anyone before seeing Minerva so he used his speed to hide before he was seen, "Hello, Mr. Weasley, is something wrong?" Cache asked as he saw Arthur step out of the floo right after they stepped into Minerva's office to wait for her to come back.
Arthur smiled, "Hello, Cache. I … I need to know where Ron is … have you seen him?" He asked trying to be polite, but he was definitely in a rush.
Cache frowned, "I saw the Bloody Baron as we went passed the Great Hall so he must be there getting ready for breakfast."
"Thank you … do you think he has Scabbers with him?" Arthur asked.
"Ron normally feeds Scabbers in his pocket while at the table so probably." Cache said curious as to why Arthur wanted to know.
Arthur looked relieved, "If you don't mind would you please inform the headmistress that I'll be borrowing Ron for an hour. There's been a family … dilemma."
"I understand… would you like me to get Ginny, Fred, George and Percy?" Cache asked.
"No." Arthur exclaimed a little too quickly and immediately backpedaled, "This particular family dilemma is something that will greatly affect Ron being he's close with his mother. I want to explain it to him first." Arthur explained hoping it'd be enough to explain the decision to include only one child in the 'family dilemma'. After all, he couldn't very well say that this was a ministry related operation to arrest a Death Eater that has been hiding around the students of Hogwarts for years ...
"Ok, just tell me how I can help if you need it." Cache frowned as he watched the wizard smile gratefully and quickly leave. "That seemed odd."
Trocar reappeared frowning in thought, "It was, but there's probably a good reason. What does Mr. Weasley do for a living? … and what's a Scabbers?" He asked recognizing the names Harry told him about and effectively figuring out who the wizard was without much difficulty.
Cache pondered a moment, "Scabbers is Ron's rat. You know, the one I said Lyra and Libra always growled at ..." He said wondering why his kneazles only reacted negatively to Scabbers. They never threatened any other pet or familiar, but there was something about that rat. "If I remember correctly he worked in the ministry … oh, this could be related to everything going on there."
"Possibly, but why involve his son?" Trocar pondered not likely that a child would be involved if this was a ministry issue. He glanced up noticing at cat running along the sill.
The fake blonde sighed, "Don't know, but I'm sure it's not too serious if a kid is involved-" He suddenly deadpanned as his mind flashed through his first year of school, "Well, hopefully … how did Mr. Weasley know Professor McGonagall was standing in for dumbles already? Does news travel that fast weren't though there was a lockdown? Actually, is that still going?"
A cat jumped up down to the desk from the highest open window and transformed mid jump into none other than Minerva McGonagall who stood on the floor before them, "To answer your question yes. The ministry lockdown was completed for the most part. I was informed about this by owl moments ago." She said charming the shutters closed for the vampire and lit some candles for light, but kept her wand in hand in case the dark creature became dangerous.
Trocar lowered his hood letting his red eyes show, "So you decided to run around in your animagus form because of something related to that?"
"The Minister asked me to ensure that someone was present. It was a rather urgent matter so please understand my inability to meet you here personally." She said noticing the small amount of annoyance in the vampire's voice. The thought of a pissed off vampire being in her office concerned her a great deal especially with students not far away.
"Trocar stays well feed. He won't snap because of a little rudeness no matter what the rumors say." Cache said the second he realized the Headmistress was trying to calm Trocar down as if he would go out of control at any moment. It was offensive to think someone would even consider that the motherly vampire would hurt someone over a stupid reason.
"Yes, my apologies. Vampires are not normally seen in a good light so I admit that this is different for me." Minerva commented feeling a little more at ease with the knowledge that Cache didn't seem worried at all. In fact, she was curious on how insightful the boy was. Was he insightful enough to hide another life along with surviving with dark creatures? "I know how much you trust the creatures you live with, Cache. You lived through a hard life according to your words from last night so I should, at least, trust the ones you say saved you … may I ask how long you've lived with Trocar? It was definitely long enough to learn to trust him." She said finding it interesting that someone so young would choose the place you did unless they had no place to go and needed to hide. More importantly she wanted to know if Cache moved in around the same time as Harry Potter's disappearance.
"You're right, I needed a safe place and I found that about two months ago." Cache said and noticed Minerva looked concerned. "I know what you want … Harry Potter is safe, but he won't come back until he's ready … he may never come back, but he's safe with people who care." He said with a glance at Trocar. Cache did not outright say who he was, but he knew it was enough.
Minerva frowned understanding the subtle message, but while the relief from knowing her student was safe flooded her body it was soon followed by concern, "With a name like that you may have trouble hiding. What made you think choosing a French phrase was a good idea? Yes I know. Both Poppy and Severus had to fill in some apprentice paperwork so you could work here. Cache Devant Vous? Really?"
"It was the first thing that came to mind!" Cache exclaimed rather shocked this turned on him so fast! Even Severus didn't flip out like this.
"You could have chosen something that sounded like an actual name. Any translation spell or person with even a small degree of knowledge in the French language, like myself, will reveal your obviously fake name." Minerva warned.
Trocar stepped up to Minerva, "You're right to worry, but not in your logic. The muggle world has several strange names for kids like Samsung or Internet. There are even lists of names that can't be used in several places because people are dumb enough to use them." He said even though he knew Minerva wouldn't understand why they were odd names. "A wizard from the muggle world having a strange name wouldn't be weird at all and translation spells don't work like that. Those spells work solely on everything except words considered name. Cache will never be translated because he sees it as his name."
The stand in headmistress stared at the vampire for a few moments before sighing, "Perhaps I am thinking too much into it. We can talk about you later, Cache. Let's return to the point of this meeting … but thank you for telling me." She said smiling softly at the boy who has grown a great deal, both physically and mentally, since the end of his first year. Then returned to a serious demeanor as she shifted her gaze to Trocar. "Tell me about your qualifications."

Ron glared at his ghostly babysitter, "Why can't you leave me alone for breakfast?"
"All the madness in this school right now and it's my presence that offends you?" The Bloody Baron scoffed in annoyance at the child's foolish comment.
"It's not that bad-" Ron trailed off as he looked around what should have been a crowded Great Hall, but saw next to no one there, "Where is everyone? It's nearly time for breakfast."
"No one seems to have much of an appetite with everything going on." The ghost said seriously. He quirked a transparent brow as he noticed the thoughtful look on Ron's face. The Bloody Baron wasn't sure if he should be happy that the severity of the situation was finally sinking in or disappointed that the thought of someone being too depressed to eat was the shock that triggered the epiphany. Even in life he never knew someone so motivated by food.
"Dad?" Ron blinked as he spotted his father enter the Great Hall and the impudent brat sneered as his father came up to him, "What do you want?" he snapped like a whiny kid sulking over being punished, which he was.
Arthur's eyes narrowed, "Acting that way won't help your punishment go faster. If you keep that tone up I'll ask for it to be extended, understand?" He said sharply making Ron hang his head in silence, "Good, now I have to talk to you, but we're going to Gringotts-"
"Gringotts?! Is something wrong with my account?" Ron blurted out and stood up so fast that the rat in his pocket nearly flew out.
The Weasley father gaped slightly not sure what Ron was talking about, but the sight of that damn rat reminded him to play along for now, "... errr yes … yes. The goblins said that there's an issue and it involves your mother too." Arthur said not liking the fact that he didn't know what his son was talking about. "If you don't mind, Bloody Baron, I will be taking my son for about an hour-"
"Wait! We're going right now? Breakfast is in a few minutes!" Ron sulked looking a little torn between food and his bank account.
The ghost scoffed at the, once again, immature behavior, "I understand things need to be discussed. Did you floo in from Professor Snape's floo like before?" He asked ignoring the boy whining about food.
"Actually no, I came through the Headmistress's floo. Come on, Ron. Gringotts serves food for early meetings so you and Scabbers can eat there." Arthur said hoping the ghost would understand that this was a little more serious than a typical trip since special permission is needed for that floo. Right now Gringotts and the Ministry have control because of the investigations. Thankfully, the Bloody Baron was clever and simply followed after them quietly.
Now there was only one thing that needed Arthur's full attention at this moment. At the moment that thing was hanging out of Ron's pocket and crawling up to perch on Ron's shoulder. It was taking everything he had to not swat that rat and he wasn't the only one. The two kneazles on the stairs playing with the kids there glanced at the rat and flexed their claws as they passed. Arthur did briefly considered throwing the rat to the kneazles, but he refrained because of the children present.
"Let's hurry. I'm hungry!" Ron grumbled as he patted the rat.
Arthur sighed, "We'll be there in a minute." He said as the statue moved revealing the stairs going to the Headmistress's office. Arthur knocked on the door.
"Come in." The headmistress's voice was heard through the door and they entered the dark office seeing Cache, the headmistress and a young man with red eyes in the candlelight.
Arthur hesitated at the sight of an obvious vampire despite his impatient son tugging at his arm, "Umm … Headmistress-"
"It's quite alright, Arthur. I'm interviewing a new professor. You have some business to take care of, yes? Ron will have a pass for whatever classes he misses. You shouldn't wait." Minerva said subtly telling him why a vampire was present and reminding him of the reason for the visit.
"Oh … yes. Thank you, Headmistress." Arthur said taking his son, who was oblivious to the vampire's presence as he glared at Cache, towards the floo.
The Bloody Baron paused at the floo, "I'll wait here for you to return."
Ron smirked feeling great about finally ditching the ghost and it only got better. After flooing into the wizarding bank, they were met by a goblin and personally escorted to a room. He felt very important and loved every minute of it.
"The meeting is in that room." The goblin said pointing to the room and looking at Arthur to make it clear that the ambush was right behind that door.
Arthur breathed in relief, "Thank you-"
"Alright! Food!" Ron exclaimed excitedly and started practically running to a table filled with food that was placed in another room in the opposite direction.
"Ron! Get back here." Arthur snapped, but his son wasn't listening.
Panic set in and it made Arthur break in1to a run. The Ministry employ wanted that bastard away from his son so badly that he grabbed the rat. With the rat in one hand and his wand in the other Arthur threw the rat hard while spelling the door to the chosen room open.
"Dad, what are you doing to Scabbers?!" Ron screamed as he saw his pet go flying into the room and saw the door slam shut. "Scabbers!"
"Ron .. " Arthur said as he held Ron back from going to get the rat as he kneeled to look his son in the eyes, "Ron … Scabbers isn't a rat. He's a Death Eater-"
"There's no bloody way that's possible! Bill! Dad hurt Scabbers!" Ron yelled at his brother who he saw coming down the hall towards them.
Bill nodded approvingly, "Good. I'd do it too if I had the chance." He grumbled before looking at Arthur. "Dad, my employer informed me on some things off the record ... we need to talk about some-bloody hell!" He gasped after Ron kicked out at him and got him in the shin.
"Ron!" Arthur barked and held the boy harder to prevent more attacks.
"You're both bastards! Scabbers isn't- ..." Ron paused as the door Scabbers was thrown behind swung open and he started struggling hard to get to his pet.
Arthur saw he confusion go across his son's face as the team of aurors came out dragging a screaming rat like man with them, "I'm sorry-"
"No … he would've known." Ron muttered in disbelief as he watched the man being taken away and not seeing a rat.
"He? Ron do you mean Dumbledore?" Arthur asked remembering the times he saw Dumbledore at his home that he couldn't before due to the potions.
The goblin scoffed, "Dumbledore isn't kind or loving or selfless. Either he never noticed that your rat lived far too long, which I doubt, or he did and knew, but didn't care enough to say anything. He let a Death Eater stay in your home … with you." The goblin emphasized looking right at Ron.
Bill kneeled next to his brother, who looked pale, and sighed, "Speaking of Dumbledore we should discuss cutting ties before the trial. That means get the divorce pushed through now and ... there's apparently an extra account we weren't aware of." He said looking at Ron.

"Let me go! I'm the victim here!" Pettigrew screamed as he tried to struggle against the team of aurors as they lead him a holding cell at the base of Azkaban.
"You fucking traitor!" Pettigrew paled as he recognized the voice.
By an insane amount of chance he was being dragged in at the exact same time Sirius Black was being taken out. Sadly for Peter, Sirius' auror team was not as good at holding back their charge. Sirius got out of their hold and attacked the rat man in a rage.
"We should stop him." One auror said, but 4 minutes passed before Sirius was pulled away from the bloodied Pettigrew. "If anyone asks we reacted faster."
Sirius smirked, "Yeah, thanks." He said grateful for the chance to get some revenge. Today only better for him as he got fresh clothes, his wounds treated and at the end was someone he missed for so long, "Remus ..." He whimpered nearly in tears.
Remus immediately hugged and kissed Sirius, "When the Minister sent my a letter explaining … I'm so sorry I didn't try harder to free you-" He was silenced with a kiss.
"I missed you." Sirius choked softly nearly crying with happines while holding the werewolf close to him. "What's happened while I was away? How's Harry?" Sirius noticed the healer, who only just finished checking him, paled and quickly left. That action made Sirius feel anxious, "Remu-" Sirius was pulled into a kiss.
"We'll talk later. Don't actually freak out at what you hear when we leave this room, ok?" Remus said and Sirius nodded, but when they left the room and he heard bits and pieces of what happened to Harry he nearly broke down. The only thing keeping him sane was the fact that Remus was hiding something and would tell him later.

Hermione looked up as Ron sat down at the potion table with his ghost following him, "You missed breakfast. We have a new professor. A vampire believe it or not. What the hell is the headmistress thinking? Is she trying to kill-"
"Close your account." Ron said bluntly as he pulled out his cauldron.
"What?" Hermione gaped in shock that Ron would say that out loud.
"Dumbledore won't protect you … Dad and Bill said Gringotts has a set of payment plans and loans for underaged students if you need help with money for school." Ron said never once making eye contact with her. It was like he was trying to not cry, but what could've happened to make him this way?
"There ... is?" Hermione commented strangely stunned for someone who should've been told these things before she came to Hogwarts. Perhaps Dumbledore neglected to tell her some things …

"Excuse me? What do you mean Dumbledore won't be going to trial?" The Minister asked trying to keep his temper in check so he didn't scare the already nervous healer in front of him ...
