The Second Task

Goku was walking to his next class when he ran into Cedric; literally. “Oh Ced! I’m so sorry!” he held out his hand and helped the teen off of the floor.

Cedric dusted off his clothed and smiled “Eh, It’s alright Goku.” he titled his head at him “Hey, have you figured out the egg yet?”

Goku grinned and put his hands behind his head “Yeah, figured it out um… two weeks after getting it i think?”

Cedric gawked at him “Really? How did you do it that fast?”

Goku shrugged “It wasn’t that hard when you think about it.”

Cedric studied Goku “Huh, I guess…” he shook his head then smiled again “See you later or in two days then.” he waved then kept walking.

Goku looked after him then shrugged and kept walking to his class.

“Come on Kakarrot! You better not be getting soft on me!” Vegeta growled as he lunged at Goku, his fist aimed for his jaw.

Goku ducked out of the way then blocked a roundhouse kick “In your dreams Vege!” he got back into a fighting stance then licked a drop of sweat from his lip “The task is only two hours away, what else should I be thinking about?” Goku heard a bass growl behind him:

“How about your other opponents Son.”

Goku ducked then flipped away from the green fist that threatened to make contact with his skull. Goku let out a small grunt as he felt a foot connect with his lower back then he whirled around and punched Gohan in the stomach.

Gohan gasped then coughed. He lunged backwards then rubbed his stomach “Damn…”

Goku grinned as he dodged another fist from Vegeta “Gotta be better than that Gohan!” he grabbed Piccolo’s oncoming fist and swung him into Vegeta’s front, making both of them fly backwards. Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta then formed a triangle around Goku and growled. They then lunged in unison and Goku fought them all at once while keeping to the same general spot. They fought like that for the next half hour before they stopped; they sensed someone coming. Goku took this opportunity to rip off his tattered top and dab his face with a towel he brought; even though it was night, the fighting was still sweat inducing. Then again, they’ve been fighting for three hours now. Piccolo also took this time to quickly slip on his cape and hood. They watched as Karcdob walked towards them, his arms crossed.

Karcdob stopped in front of the group and looked at them all “Vegeta, McGonagall would like to see you. Now.”

Vegeta pulled up the bottom edge of his muscle shirt and wiped at the sweat on his face. He then gruffed out as he pulled his shirt back down “Fine,” he nodded to Goku “See you at the task.” he glanced at Piccolo and Gohan then walked back to the castle with Karcdob.

Goku watched him go then sighed “Well, I guess we should be heading back too and preparing for the task.”

Piccolo nodded in agreement “You should, have you been practicing the spell Gohan taught you?”

“Yeah,” Goku put his towel around his neck “I want to take a quick shower before the task, wanna come with?”

Gohan whipped his forehead with the back of his hand “Yeah, a shower sounds nice.” he put his hand on Goku’s shoulder and Piccolo put his hand on Goku’s other one.

Goku then IT’d the three of them to the showers and they went into their separate stalls. Gohan snuck into Piccolo’s stall a minute in, but they all managed to get clean five minutes later. When they exited the shower, room full dry and freshly clothed, they stopped in the intersection and Gohan hugged Goku.

“Good luck Otousan, remember to stay focused and don’t show off too much.”

Goku hugged him back “Thanks Kabu, for everything.” he pressed their foreheads together and grinned “Cheer for me yeah?”

Gohan grinned back “Always Otousan.” their clasped their hands together then went their separate ways, Piccolo escorting Gohan to his House entrance and Goku ITing to his room.

Goku got undress to his boxers then laid down on his bed and put his hands behind his head. He glanced over at Harry who just got into the room and started to get ready for bed. “Hey Harry, you nervous?”

Harry looked at him and shrugged “A bit. You?”

Goku looked upwards and grinned “I’m excited! With the clues all figured out I should be all set for whatever comes!” he looked back at Harry as the boy pulled on his night shirt “You figured your clue out right?”

Harry froze then continued to finish putting on his shirt “Uh, yeah.”

Goku hummed happily, his tail waving between his legs lazily “Well, good night and see yah tomorrow.” he closed his curtains then curled up in a ball like a cat and fell asleep with a grin on his lips.

Goku met up with Draco briefly in the woods so Draco could give him a quick ‘goodluck make out session’ before Goku met Piccolo and Gohan near the docks.

Draco caressed Goku’s jaw as Goku pressed him up against a tree “Good luck out there Kakarrot, I know you’ll do great.”

Goku smiled toothily “Thanks Draco.” he leaned in and murmured into the blonde’s ear “I think your sweet kisses will give me the luck I need to win first place...”

Draco grinned “Is that so? Let me give you more then, for extra luck…” he pulled on Goku’s orange shirt with his name on the back of it and kissed him deeply.

Goku plunged his tongue into Draco’s mouth and their tongue slid and twisted with each other. When they parted for air, Goku murmured “Have you seen Vegeta? I thought he’d be here with you but i haven’t sensed him at all.”

Draco shrugged “Maybe he’s already on the island stands.”

Goku glanced at the lake through the bramble “Maybe…” he turned back to Draco and nipped his neck then licked the red mark. He leaned back and smiled “See you at the islands then,” he planted one last kiss on Draco’s lips then flew away to the docks. He landed near Piccolo and Gohan and grinned “Hey guys!”

Gohan grinned back “You ready Goku?” Piccolo tapped his ears with his wand while he waited; he put the same volume control spell on his ears like he did at the Ball.

Goku punched his fist “Oh yeah! I’m pumped up!” His tail waved excitedly behind him “Let’s go!” The three of them floated up and flew over to the island stands were. When they got there, Goku put a towel around his waist and pulled off his shirt; he was basically naked now and only wore the towel at Gohan and Piccolo’s request. Dumbledore then spoke loudly to everyone:

“Welcome to the second task. Last night, something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These five treasures, one for each champion, now lie on the bottom of the Black Lake. In order to win, each champion need only find their treasure and return to their surface. Simple enough except for this: They will have but one hour to do so, and one hour only. After that, they’ll be in their own.”

Goku stood on the edge of the wooden launching point and had his wand ready, he was between Cedric and Harry. He looked behind him and grinned at Piccolo and Gohan, Gohan waved with a grin and gave him a thumbs up. He then glanced down at Harry in concern; he had started choking “You alright Harry?” as Harry choked, Dumbledore said this:

“At the sound of the cannon, you may begin.” suddenly the sound of a cannon when off and Goku quickly sat down with his legs together. As the other’s dove into the water, Goku waved his wand over his legs and everyone watched in awe as his legs morphed into a beautiful, black, shiny mertail. Goku then pulled off the towel and slid into the water.

Goku looked around then saw Harry swim upwards and flip into the air then dive back down and swim away. Goku grinned then did the same but arched beautifully when he was in the air then dove back into the water gracefully. He then hightailed it to the first location he could think of; the merpeople city. When he got to the kelp forest he just kept swimming to were he remembered the underwater city being. When the ruins got into sight, he grinned and swam faster; he sensed all the other champions far behind him because of how fast he was swimming. When he got there, his eyes widened at the sight of the five tied up humanoids. He swam quickly up to the tied up Vegeta and quickly caressed his face “Oh Vegeta!” he swam back a bit and shot a Ki blast at the rope holding him in place He sensed Harry and Cedric not too far behind him but far enough away to not worry. He looked at the merfolk then spotted the one he recognize and waved at it “Hi! Nice to see yah again!”

The Mercreature rolled it’s eyes then waved it’s tridant at him “Go!” it hissed “No time for socializing!”

Goku laughed “Oh right! Sorry!” he held Vegeta to his chest then swam up and over to where he sensed the crowd.

When they broke the surface, Vegeta gasped and sputtered. He then growled as he wiped the water from his eyes “That was humiliating...”

Goku chuckled then kissed his cheek and purred “You were an excellent treasure for me to find my mate.” Vegeta blushed then the two of them swam over to the islands. When they got there, Goku put his arms on the deck then waved over to Gohan “Hey Gohan! Can you get my pants?”

Gohan chuckled “Sure, here.” he knelt down and handed Goku his swimming trunks.

“Thanks Kabu.” Goku grinned then hid himself as he dispelled the transformation and slipped on his swimming trunks. He then swam back over to the deck and hoisted himself out, water rivulets cascading down his muscles. Goku shook himself off like a dog then flicked his tail, spattering water around him. Dumbledore noted to the cheering crowd:

“Goku has arrived in first place first at eleven forty-one.”

Vegeta scowled; he took off everything except for his training shorts and was wringing them out “Dammit Kakarrot! I’m trying to get dry not get wet again! Stop splashing me!” he threw down the wet clothes and scowled at Goku.

Goku hugged Vegeta and rubbed his back “Better?”

Vegeta narrowed his eyes then wrapped his tail around Goku’s waist “...Yes…” he muttered into his mates chest and he put his hands on Goku’s pectorals. Goku kissed the top his his head then raised his Ki a bit to warm his mate up. Vegeta glanced up at him “You know I can just do that too.”

Goku smiled down at him “I know, this is comfier though.”

Vegeta blushed then muttered “Can we at least sit down...”

Goku chuckled then sat down against a pole, Vegeta sat down between his legs on the floor. Goku wrapped his arms around Vegeta’s waist then put his chin on Vegeta’s shoulder. Piccolo sat crossed legged with Gohan in his lap next to Goku and Vegeta. He raised his own Ki to keep Gohan warm from the chilly air, Gohan purred in approval and snuggled into his chest. They four and the crowd watched the lake and at 11:52, Cedric burst out of the water with Cho. A couple seconds later, Krum emerged from the water with his shark head and shook his head around as his turned back to normal, Hermione by his side. The Bulgarians chanted “Krum! Krum! Krum!” as Victor swam towards the deck. When Victor started to dry himself off, he kept throwing glances at Gohan who had his eyes closed and a smile of his lips as he snuggled with the hooded Piccolo

A couple minutes later, Goku and the other aliens jolted as they senses dozens upon dozens of energy signatures swarm around Harry’s familiar one. Piccolo looked at them “He’s near the forest, grindylows?”

Gohan nodded as he stared at the lake “Most likely. They attacked us last time but not this many. I sense over thirty.”

Piccolo grumbled “Fifty-seven… Fifty-nine… I swear they are just spawning.”

Gohan laughed “Probably.” the four aliens continued to watch the fight through their senses, feeling the energies move around Harry’s larger signature. Suddenly the swarming energies froze and swam away from Harry. At the stroke of twelve, a blonde girl and Ron broke the surface of the water, gasping and sputtering.

The female champion, Fleur, ran down the steps and knelt down to the water. She wave dover to the little girl as Ron helped the small girl over to the deck.

Suddenly Harry was propelled out of the water, wand first, and onto the wooden deck. Vegeta hopped off of Goku and the larger Saiyan rushed over to Harry “Harry!” Goku gasped out as he quickly put a towel around Harry and rubbed his back.

Fleur then came over and knelt before Harry, the little girl from earlier behind her “You... saved her even though she wasn’t yours to save. My little sister!” she grabbed Harry’s head and kissed his cheeks “Thank you!” she stood up “And you!” Fleur looked at Ron “You helped!”

Ron blushed “Well… Yeah… A bit.”

Fleur laughed then kissed Ron’s cheeks. She then grabbed her sister’s hand “Gabrielle, ma belle, vien.”

Ron blinked as she left and rubbed his cheek “Merci…” he gasped.

Goku rubbed Harry’s back a little harder “You’re freezing! Here, lemme help yah with that.” he hugged Harry and raised his Ki so his body was warmer like he was doing with Vegeta.

Harry blinked then blushed as he snuggled up against Goku “W-wow, that’s r-really helpful ac-ctually.” he chattered his teeth as Goku wrapped his arms around Harry’s arms and rubbed them.

“It’s no problem, getting a cold is the last thing you want!” he chuckled then settled his legs on either side of Harry and help him close to warm him up.

Hermione then rushed over and knelt down infront of Harry “Personally, I think you behaved admirably.”

Harry hugged Goku’s arms and shuddered “I finished last Hermione.”

She kissed his head then ;lughed “Next to last! Fleur never got past ‘ze Grindylows’!”

Goku grinned “That’s great! Huh, I thought I felt her energy signature drop down to the base of the forest…”

As Dumbledore tried to get things organized, the crowd chanted Goku’s, Krum’s, and Cedric’s names excitedly. “Attention!” his voice was drowned out by the chanting. He pointed his wand at his throat and shouted “ATTENTIOOOON!” everyone cringed at how loud his voice was. Goku helped Harry stand up and continued to rub his arms. Dumbledore then shouted “The Winner is… Mr. Goku!” the crowd cheered wildly as Dumbledore continued “Who showed a perfect example of the transfiguration spell! Second place is… Mr. Diggory who showed innate command of the bubble-head charm! However, seeing as Mr. Potter would have finished second, had it not been for his determination to rescue not only Mr. Weasley, but the others as well, we’ve agreed to award him... third place!” the crowd erupted into two emotions; disappointment for Krum not getting 2nd or 3rd, as well as excitement for Harry “For outstanding moral fiber!” the Headmaster finished.

Goku rubbed Harry’s arm “Third place Harry! That’s great!”

Harry laughed “Wow, I wasn’t expecting this!” he grinned at Goku “Congratulations on getting first place Goku!”

Goku grinned then spotted Draco on the stairs. He smirked “I guess it was luck.” Draco smiled at him then gave him a thumbs up.

Back on the docks, the twins jeered at Harry playfully “All that moral fiber huh?”

“Well done Moral Fiber.”

Goku laughed as he nudged Harry’s elbow “Your just full of Moral Fiber eh?” he looked up and saw a man standing at the end of the dock.

Gohan, who was standing next to Piccolo, bristled at the sight of Barty Crouch Senior. His tail fluffed up and he glared at him menacingly. Piccolo put a hand on his shoulder to calm down his mate and steered him away from Barty.

Ron waved to Harry and said “See you at Hagrid’s Harry!” Ron then turned to Goku and grinned “You coming along?”

Goku shook his head then put his arm around Vegeta’s shoulders “Maybe, I wanna talk to Geta first. See you guys later.” he then walked with Vegeta over to where he sensed Draco deep in the woods.

When they got there, Draco lunged at them and wrapped his arms around both of their necks “That’s was fantastic!” he kissed Goku’s cheek then Vegeta’s and grinned “You did amazing Goku, I’d expect no less from you.” he turned to Vegeta “So, this is why you didn’t go to the Slytherin Commons last night?”

Vegeta crossed his arms and scowled “Yeah, that Minerva bitch told me that since I was one of the Champions ‘treasures’, I’d be put underwater like how I was.” he growled in his throat “What ever they did kept me conscious and I wasn’t happy about how those scaled bastards were looking at me. I’m pretty sure they remember me, but I still didn’t like it.” he smirked at Goku “Since I was conscious, I did my own part to make things on even grounds for the rest of those champions; I hid my energy signature so your couldn’t Instant Transmission or swim straight to me.” the Prince scoffed “Well, you seemed to have done the last one but only because we’ve been there already.”

Goku chuckled “Yeah, it was find of unfair for the rest of the champions.” Goku jolted as he was poked roughly by Vegeta in the chest “Wha?”

Vegeta raised an eyebrow “I didn’t like how you were all over that Potter boy Kakarrot.” he growled “Just seeing you surrounding him like that made my blood boil.” his tail lashed behind him “You’ve made your Beta upset and jealous Kakarrot, how do you feel now?” Draco watched them with a raised brow, he was confused by the terms Vegeta was using.

Goku frowned then scratched his head “Oh, I’m sorry Geta. I didn’t realize it would affect yah that much.”

Vegeta pressed himself against Goku and bared his teeth “You still smell like that runt… I don’t like that.. Not… One… Bit…” he growled then leaned up and bit Goku’s bond mark, hard.

“Ah! OW!” Goku pushed against Vegeta and pushed him away. He hissed at his now bleeding bond mark and put a hand over it “What the Hell Geta?!”

Vegeta licked the blood from his lips and teeth then smirked “That’s what you get for letting him get his scent all over you Kakarrot.” He floated up and kissed the shocked Goku. He grinned then said “And that’s for winning first place.”

Goku rolled his eyes then hissed slightly at a small stinging sensation on his wound. He turned his head and saw that Draco had put his arms across his chest and was licking the blood from behind. “Fuck… Draco…”

Draco gave the bite mark closest to him a long lick then hummed “Problem?”

Vegeta narrowed his eyes and growled in his throat “That’s fucking sexy…” He licked his lips then pressed himself up to Goku and licked the bite mark closest to him, earning him a low groan from Goku. Vegeta then looked at Draco, cupped his head with his hand and pulled him into a french kiss to taste the blood in his mouth.

Goku bit his lip at the corner-of-his-eye veiw of his mate’s making out with his blood. He cleared his throat “Ah… Um, as much as I want to continue this… Um…” Draco and Vegeta looked at him and Goku gulped “We should probably get going. Maybe save this for later or tonight?”

Vegeta and Draco looked at each other then back to the nervous looking Goku. Draco wrapped his arms around Goku’s neck and kissed his neck “Sure, why not.”

Vegeta slid his hands around Goku’s waist and smirked “I guess I can wait.” Goku let out a breath of relief then yelped when Vegeta and Draco groped him; Draco from behind and Vegeta from up front. Vegeta grinned then purred “Can’t wait till then Kakarrot.”

Draco chuckled in Goku’s ear then nipped his earlobe “Mmm, I can’t wait too…” The two slytherins then got off of Goku and walked away, Vegeta swaying his hips and tail a bit at Goku.

Goku rubbed his face “Ugh… What have I gotten myself into?” he chuckled then wiped any excess blood from his wound and walked away.

Karcdob followed Alastor closely as they watched Barty Senior walk with Harry. Alastor then walked up to Barty and said “Bartimaeus. Not trying to lure Potter into one of the Ministry’s summer internships are we?” Barty smiled uncomfortably at Alastor as he continued “The last boy who went into the Department of Mysteries never came out!” he then licked his upper lip. Karcdob watched as Barty Senior’s face dropped and he went up to Alastor and looked at him closely. When Alastor licked his lip again quickky, Barty Senior had a look of disbelief on his face then he walked away quickly. Alastor called after him “And they say I’mmad!”

Karcodb watched at Alastor took a swing from his flask and then Bardock took a drink from his own. He grumbled “Damn it Cro, you almost.. Ugh…” he glared at the Professor “Don’t slip up again.” He growled and narrowed his eyes “Mort is not going to like this.” Alastor was about to snap at him when Bardock snapped his teeth at him “I’ll take care of it!”

Now long after, Bardock led Barty Senior into the woods via imperius curse. He hid his Ki before coming here since he sensed his son nearby. Bardock stood in front of him wearing his skull mask and cloak then waved his wand in front of Barty.

Barty blinked as he came out of his daze then widened his eyes “N-No…”

Bardock grinned widely and pointed his wand at his face “Oh yes Barty, this is real.” he flicked his wand and hissed “Avada kedavra!” a green light shot out of his wand and hit Barty in the face. The man staggered then dropped to the ground on his back; dead. Bardock smirked, he would have prefered killing the man with his bare hands but Voldemort told him not to and to use the killing curse. He flicked his wand at the man’s fallen hat then moved it over some; a trail to lead to the body. Bardock sneered down at the body “That should do it.” he then silently crept away back to the castle and the remaining Barty Crouch. Bardock plopped down on his bed and stuck his hands behind his head.

Alastor glanced over at him from his desk “Well?”

Bardock snorted “Easier than killing a cub.” he pulled out a strand of wheat, stuck it in his mouth then chewed on it.

Alastor raised an eyebrow “A cub?”

Bardock glanced over at him then back at the ceiling “A kid.”

Moody blinked “Oh,” he turned back around and looked at the papers on his desk. ‘How do I keep forgetting that this guy is a professional planet purger? A God sent sexy one, but a psychotic murder all the same’ he bit his lower lip as his magic eye rolled backwards to look at the lounging Bardock ‘Damn… Am I seriously falling for this guy? I wasn’t even concerned with sex till this guy came around and casually talked about his latest shag…’

“You okay over there old man?” Bardock jeered “I can smell your testosterone levels rising from over here.”

Alastor flinched “Shi- Um, no I’m fine.” He gritted his teeth then picked up his quill and continued to grade papers.

Bardock barked out a laugh then switched the sides the wheat stalk was on “Whatever. If you go back to your old body and wanna shag, just bring that ass over here and tell me, yeah?” Alastor picked up a book and threw it at Bardock who blocked it then laughed “Hey! No need for that!” he grinned “I was only offering!” he winked at Alastor “You seemed to enjoy it last time. Imagine if we went all the way.”

Moody’s cheeks burned red then he threw another book at Bardock and the alien dodged again “Sh-Shut it Bar! Seriously!” he turned around and stared at the papers.

Bardock snorted in amusement “Heh, you Earthlings are too shy about the subject of sex. Everyone does it, how else do you think you were made?” he laughed.

Moody twitched then reached for another book “Will you please shut the Hell up Bar!”

Bardock looked at Alastor’s back closely then got up and sat down on the edge of his desk “Hey, is it your pops that’s bothering you? If so i’m sorry you didn’t get to turn him in.”

Moody let go of the book then rubbed his scarred face “I don’t know, I… I’m ecstatic that the bastard is out of my life. But…” he then grinned manically “I wish i was the one to see the light leave that bastard’s eyes.”

Bardock smirked at the mad look on the other male’s face “Well shit, I really am sorry now.” he shrugged “You weren’t missing much though. He just stuttered ‘No’ then I killed im.” he chuckled “Went out like a bitch.”

Alastor glanced up at Bardock then back at his desk “Hmph, good.” he put his arms behind his head “Finally, after years of his bull shit, he’s gone.”

Bardock grinned then purred “Well, once you get out of that bod we can celebrate. You know where to find me Cro...” he then walked away with a slight sway of his hips, if he had a tail it would be swishing back and forth. He plopped down on his bed again and grinned up at the ceiling.

Moody glanced back at Bardock as the man walked away then turned back to his desk and rubbed his face “Merlin’s beard…”

Goku caught up with Ron, Hermione, Harry and hagrid a little bit later and was walking with agrin as Hagrid regaled them of the past,

“Now, I remember- I remember when I first met these three.” he told Goku as the Saiyan walked next to the half-giant. “Biggest bunch of misfits I ever set eyes on!”

Goku let out a laugh “Really?”

Hagrid grinned “Oh yeah. But I suppose they remind me of meself a little.” he nudged Goku’s shoulder with his elbow with a chuckled “And here we all are, four years later.”

Ron scoffed “We’re still a bunch of misfits.”

Hagrid shrugged “Well, maybe, but we’ve all got each other. And now you too Goku o’ course.” Goku glanced over at Harry as he wandered off from the group a little bit then turned back to Hagrid who shouted excitedly and put his massive hand on Goku’s shoulder “Soon to be the youngest Triwizard champion there’s ever been! Hooray!”

Goku laughed “Aw come on! You’re embarrassing me Hagrid!”

Hagrid and Ron then started to sing “Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts!” Hermione joined in and Goku laughed then sung along as well, “Teach us something please! Whether we be old and bald, Or young with scabby knees!”

Goku faded off and stopped walking; something didn’t feel right in the air. He spotted Harry over a few yards off and quickly walked over “Harry?” he stopped a few feet away; he smelled death in the air.

Goku slowly walked next to Harry as the teen said softly “Mr. Crouch?”

Goku knelt down and put two fingers to Barty Crouch’s neck, just to make sure. He then shook his head and looked at Harry “He’s dead.”
