Admiral Roark rose to his feet, a wide smile now gracing his lips as he looked at him. "First," he began, opening his arms to him, "come here to me, my precious baby boy."
Roark was up in less than a heartbeat and across the small space to burrow into his arms, feeling them close around him, holding him close to him. "Papa," he breathed suddenly.
Roark's head lifted to look down into silver eyes, eyes so much like Selina's, he felt his heart hurt. "I do believe I like that very much," he told him. "How about you keep calling me that, hum?"
"I can do that," he said as he was released. Leaning up, he pressed a kiss to his jaw. "Hello, Papa."
Roark Sr.'s smile widened and his eyes sparkled. "Hello, my son."
Dacian was there then, reaching out to draw him into his arms, hugging him. Roark's head tilted up and murmured, "Dacian," in a tone that brought tears to his eyes, well...MORE tears anyway. Finally, they had their precious baby brother back where he belonged.
"There now, baby brother, you're finally home where you belong."
Then Gabriel was there, demanding to have his turn to hug him, bringing laughter as he was immediately followed by the rest of the brothers, then the cousins, until finally...FINALLY, Thorin was able to move forward to draw his nephew against his broad chest.
His head lowered, beginning to murmur into Roark's ear in a husky tone that had him beginning to cry once again as he burrowed closer, feeling his big hands moving slowly up and down his back.
"Alright, Thorin, let him go," Severus finally spoke up sternly, moving up to lay a hand on his shoulder. "Let him go so that we can examine him," he said as Sebastien, Robin, and Schyler all came forward.
"Really, Severus, I'm fine," he told him.
"We," he waved to the four of them, "will be the ones to determine that, brat," he said fondly as he gave his hair a yank.
Finally, after it was determined that he was, indeed, fine, they allowed him to return to Rodolphus' side, the four of them declaring that rest was all he really needed at that point. He sat, laying his head on Rodolphus' shoulder, feeling his arm wrap around his back, hugging him to his side.
Harry, sitting down beside him, leaned lightly against him. "Okay, little brother?" he murmured.
Roark turned his head, suddenly tired silver eyes looking at him. Knowing full well that Harry could tell exactly what he was feeling, he saw no point in trying to lie to him. Giving him a smile, he said softly, "I will be." His eyes took on a sudden stern look. "And I do hope you realize that this changes nothing between us. You are still, and will always BE my brother."
A small smack upside the back of his head had everyone chuckling. "Well, of course I will, just as you will always be mine." He hugged him, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Besides, I'm nearly as much a part of this family as to be one of theirs anyway."
"You are at that, Harry," Dacian said with a warm smile at him. "Now," he returned his gaze to Roark, "the rest is up to you," he said, his eyes taking on a look of concern when he saw how pale Roark had become. A glance at his husband saw that he too had noticed.
Giving a small nod, he knew that he and the other three would be keeping a very close eye on Roark. "We would like nothing more than to claim you as our father's youngest son, missing these nineteen yahrens."
"I would like that very much, Dac, but I would like to keep the Peverell Potter name."
"Of course, you would," Raphael said with a warm smile from where he sat on a loveseat beside Schyler, "and so you should. We would expect nothing less. James and Lily legally adopted you, and while they died when you were but fifteen sectar old, it changes nothing. You were raised with love and care by Lily's parents."
"But..." a pause as he looked around the room, "what of Rodolphus? Our relationship?"
