Last Time:
The sound of slight stuttering from Remus made Draco smirk. He knew he made his point …

Remus blinked barely noticing a curious Sirius shift into his human form, “But … I smelled Harry’s blood and he was running away from you-“ Remus was silenced when Bellatrix shoved a fox under his nose. “That’s Harry’s scent, but how…”
“This is Vesta, Harry’s familiar. Apparently, Harry tried to get you here because he trusted us and put blood on Vesta to do it.” Lucius said as he and Narcissa went over to Draco to check his eyes. “You gave them such a fight that she was knocked out by a stray spell … that really doesn’t look good. Come on, Draco. Back to bed.” He said worriedly after he got a good look at his son’s eyes.
Narcissa nodded, “Be careful where you step. Dobby, will you and Flippy begin cleaning up. This will be a big project.”
Remus winced as he took in the damage he caused, “Oh … I’m so sorry about that.”
“Saves the apologies for another time. Right now I have to contact Gringotts to keep everyone here out of trouble.” Lucius said as he ran back up to his office.
Sirius huffed, “If no one did anything then why are you damn Slytherin covering your tr-“
With one swift motion Narcissa spun around and stepped right up into her cousin’s face, “Remus is in just as much danger or do you think the ministry won’t find out about him being in that forest?”
Bellatrix smirked, “and keep in mind cousin that you aren’t dead, but for some reason Dumbledore told Remus you were. Isn’t that something he could’ve checked at Gringotts?” She said, noticing the stubborn fool visibly deflated at the harsh reminder of the betrayal. “Not always a bad thing to think first huh.” She said as Vesta leapt out of her arms and disappeared. The little fox was probably ready to return to Harry.
Lucius came back, “I just finished sending a letter to Gringotts. After our representative arrives we’ll contact the ministry. Hopefully before they jump to conclusions.” He said gesturing from the young witches and wizards present to to go off and find a safe place to wait as some major repairs began.
“Didn’t think Slytherins had the balls to bring the goblins and ministry into this.” Sirius murmured he may not have been the brightest, but he knew there was something else going on here. Though, perhaps he was simply annoyed because he didn’t see what they apparently saw from the beginning.
“Despite what you think, we aren’t cowards. We just know how to survive.” Lucius said sharply. The simple comeback made Draco pause on the stairs for a moment before he went back to bed with Dobby’s help. Something about what was said made a nagging feeling in his mind, but it wasn’t clicking completely yet.
Peter chuckled when he looked more carefully down the hole in the floor, “and here I thought I was the one who had the most excitement. I guess werewolf beats acromantulas this time.” He said as two house elves began repairing the gaping hole in the floor. Peter nudged Sirius playfully with his elbow to avoid hurting his ribs , “Trust me, you’re lucky we got to you before you used that portkey Dumbledore gave you.”
Rabastan saw Remus’ eyes sparkle for a second and saw the werewolf’s arm move towards his pocket, “Bad idea.” He said as flicked his wand to bring whatever Remus tried to grab straight to Peter’s hand. Though he miscalculated how well Peter could move with his injuries.
“Ow!” Peter yelped in pain when he stretched his arm to try to catch the object. He couldn’t reach out effectively with his busted ribs and the object collided with his head. Despite shooting the sheepish mind healer a pout he picked up the object, which was a little worker bee figure, to examine it.
Narcissa twitched in annoyance as Bellatrix and Sirius dared snickering, “You could’ve waited until everyone got some healing potions in them before throwing portkeys.”
Rabastan laughed sheepishly, “Right … I’ll go help with that.” He said as he raced upstairs.
“They're the same as the ones on the branch and the pawn. Check for yourself.” Peter said, handing it to Sirius, who was once an Auror and should be able to compare the runes’ coordinates, as Narcissa summoned the other two portkeys mentioned.
As the two other portkeys landed on the spot where a very nice couch was murdered Sirius compared them, “Ok … so they go to the same place. Why does that matter-“ he paused as Rabastan ran back.
“Went to the wrong room.” Rabastan muttered quickly. Of course, Rabastan initially went to the potion’ lab, but realized he had to go to the room Draco and Vincent were in. After all, the three house elves took the healing potions when the made their makeshift infirmary.
Peter sighed painfully wishing Rabastan would hurry up, but focused on the task at hand, “Let me just show you where I landed when I touched that branch.”

Quirinus stepped out of the vanishing cabinet with Alecto and Amycus, “Wait here and I’ll pinpoint Dumbledore.” He whispered before shifting into his tiny bird form and flew out of the hidden area.
It didn’t take long for him to get out a nearby open window. After flying around and scanning all the windows he finally located the headmaster. He was deeply disturbed to find that Dumbledore was, not only awake in his office, but watching Harry through a mirror. Of course, they always suspected that Dumbledore had something like that mirror, but that didn’t make the image of Harry laying on the infirmary bed any less creepy. The ominous looking potion filled vial Dumbledore had on his desk only added to the unease,
(I should warn Harry first.) Quirinus thought as he flew to the infirmary windows and started tweeting loudly.
Harry only managed to get a tiny amount of sleep before he heard the sparrow at the infirmary window in Hogwarts. The second he heard the tweets and felt a tug on his mind he knew it was Quirinus. He let their minds connect, but there was a lot to go though. Too much to go into detail when Dumbledore was watching him!
After the quick summary of Remus’ rampage and the warning about Dumbledore, Quirinus flew off. Apparently, he had to warn Alecto and Amycus that it was safe to collect the kneazles. Harry was sure he wanted to catch Severus and Tom up to speed too.
As nice as it was to know everything has settled for now and Lucius was preparing for any legal issues Harry still felt restless. It was more than the possible problems with the ministry or that a creepy wizard was watching him. He was concerned about the last horcrux. Really they were limited in how much they can defend themselves because they can’t tip off Dumbledore. If they could locate that final horcrux then it’s over …
The best update that night came from his dear fluffy familiar, “Vesta! I’m glad you’re ok!” He exclaimed as the fox leapt up onto his bed. It was a bit of a relief to feel the illusion wrap around him, but he was beyond happy to see his friend ok. Over the next few minutes she explained some of the other details that have occurred. “Really? At least, Remus calmed down-“
The slight creak of the infirmary door being opened made Harry freeze. He wanted it to be Tom or Severus, but he knew they were too smart to run around especially after Quirinus would’ve told them about Dumbledore’s watchful eyes. Sure enough, Harry was right to not expect his intendeds for it was actually Ron who poked his head in …
A still ill Ron just grinned excitedly as he leaned in a little more to see Harry on the bed, “Soon you’ll see.” He could be heard saying before slipping back out the door.
“What the hell?” A very confused Harry exclaimed. Despite the odd appearance of the sick Weasley Harry’s mind was finally ready to accept sleep. He gave one final puzzled glance at the door where Ron disappeared before lying back on the cot with Vesta curled up on his chest, but the night wasn’t done for anyone …

Dobby watched Draco take every step back to bed, “The bed is one step in front of you, master Draco.” Dobby said as he snapped his fingers making the sheets float up and out of Draco’s way. “Lady Black wants the repairs to begin immediately. Flippy, you’ll help Dobby with repairs. Flopsy, you stay here and help with treatments.” He said as he let the sheets gently fall and tuck the Malfoy in.
“Flopsy will do that! Flippy and Flopsy already started!” The friendly house elf pointed to Vincent who was fast asleep. Dobby nodded in approval before disappearing with Flippy. “Would master Draco like some more ointment?” The elf asked as she added some to a cloth before placing it back on the open wound in Vincent’s leg.
“Yes, I think it’s getting dry. Is Vincent close to being given the other potions?” Draco asked knowing full well that Vincent’s leg couldn’t be healed until after the acromantula hairs were removed.
“Flopsy only gave him a blood restoring potion and a dreamless sleep potion to deal with the pain. There are too many hairs left to heal him.” Flopsy said sadly as he removed Draco’s eye cloth and added a very generous amount of ointment. “Maybe Flopsy can in an hour … is something wrong, master Draco? Are you in pain?!” The worried house elf asked when she saw Draco frown as the dripping cloth was placed back over the swollen eyes.
Draco hummed thoughtfully, “Not really. My neck hurts from the burn-“
“Burn?!” Flopsy yelped and immediately charmed Draco’s pillow to prop him higher up so the wound could be looked at clearly. “Oh! Master Draco should’ve said something! … Flopsy sees only a few stuck hairs so maybe Flopsy can apply the burn ointment after a couple minutes of the other ointment.”
“Thanks, Flopsy.” Draco said, albeit a bit absentmindedly. As the house elf got another cloth soaked in acromantula hair removing ointment ready Draco was mentally grappling with a stubborn thought that seemed puzzling. “We do what we can to survive …”
“Most creatures do.” Flopsy agreed while carefully wrapping the burned neck in the cloth.
“Yes … but our attempts to survive are seen differently by Gryffindors. That we’re sneaky and are afraid to … break the rules.” Draco trailed off and was lost in thought as the elf lowered the pillow back down so he could rest.
A knock was heard and the door creaked open, “Hope I’m not disturbing you guys. I just need some healing potions.”
Flopsy pointed to the bag on the foot of Vincent’s bed, “Everything is in there. Flopsy has only used the ointments so far so there’s plenty of potions.”
Rabastan sighed in relief and went towards the bag, “That's good. Peter needs a Skele-gro and everyone else needs the healing salves. I think we may need more bruise and cut salves … I even got a few small burns so-“
“Rabastan!” Draco exclaimed as he bolted up right. Unfortunately, he strained himself so badly from his sudden movement that he clenched his teeth in pain.
“Draco!” The concerned mind healer stepped forward to check on the young, but the house elf was way ahead of him.
Flopsy was already perched next to Draco and fixing the cloths that slipped off, “Are you ok, young master?! Should Flopsy get help?” The worried elf asked.
“No … I’m fine. Just moved too fast.” Draco gasped between pained breathes. “Rabastan … I need you to run an idea passed Uncle Peter.”
“Yeah, of course. What is it?” Rabastan asked as he made sure the young wizard was tucked back in. As Draco spoke his eyes widened …

Sirius shrugged, “Fine. We’ll see.” He huffed as he reached out to touch the brachial much to everyone’s horror.
“No!” Narcissa snapped and promptly shot the branch with a spell and very quickly levitated it away. “I’d rather not have my Peter nearly die again to save you two so how about using a pensieve instead?” She said pointedly and Rodolphus took the cue to go grab said enchanted bowl. After all, several others were too cautious to have too many people leave the newcomers unwatched … or many were too tired to move ...
“I’m not going to shove my head into a memory and leave Remus exposed around you guys. Right, Remmy?” Sirius asked firmly expecting his friend to agree, but when he looked at the werewolf he saw a defeated expression grace his friend’s face. Sirius’ face fell and he sighed, “Fine.” He said reluctantly. If it was only himself then he’d have no problem, but he couldn’t stop his protective instincts towards Remus from chiming in. “I guess you guys aren’t going to try anything.” He admitted.
Peter twitched in annoyance, and a little pain, “Gee, thanks for trusting us.” He muttered dryly as Rodolphus returned with the pensieve, which was placed on the table in front of them. “This won’t be easy to see so I really do think you should go in together especially since someone is afraid of spiders.” He said with a slight teasing tone as he used his wand to pull out a long silvery ribbon from the depths of his mind.
“Hey! What happened in school doesn’t count-“ Sirius stopped talking when he felt Remus tug at his arm. He huffed, but dropped the subject and finally dipped his face into the pensieve with Remus.
Narcissa sighed, “So stubborn.” She muttered knowing the two people who had their heads in the memory couldn’t hear her.
“To be fair you say the same about me.” Peter said with a smile. Narcissa simply smiled and kissed him. The sound of meowing caught their attention and they looked over to see Alecto and Amycus with an army of kneazles. “Everyone ok?”
Alecto looked at the kneazles, “Yes. It seems everything went well and none of these guys are hurt …” she said while glancing curiously at Remus and Sirius.
“A little show and tell.” Peter answered the unspoken question before looking at the kneazles. “Thank you. If not for all of you I might … Draco and Vincent would not b e here.”
The magical felines mewed happily, but jumped in surprise as Rabastan rushed down the stairs, “I think Draco figured out where the last horcrux might be.”
