Hey hey everyone! I know I'm a day late. I'm not making excuses just having people understand. Thursday, Century Link went out in a decent section here in Colorado. It didn't come back on until yesterday. My grandmother is also now in a rehab facility trying to get her stregnth back so she can go home (it's not been a fun week). Anyway, here is the next chapter. It has more Draco than Hermione because of the situation, but I think it's a good chapter anyway. Answer to reviews are at the bottom. Please leave me some more.
“So let me get this straight,” Mr. Granger said. “My little girl wiped our memories because some wizard was trying to take over your community and decided that it was fun to torture muggles, like us, and muggleborns. And because she was friends with you, her life was in more danger.”
“She removed your memories, but yes.” Ron said.
“But you defeated the evil guy seven months ago and are now here to get us and take us to our Hermione.” Mrs. Granger said.
“Yes, ma’am.” Harry said. “I understand that this is all a bit over whelming-”
“Why didn’t Hermione come get us?” Mrs. Granger asked.
Harry and Ron looked at each other before Harry said, “She didn’t want to bring you back right away because she knew she was going back to finish school. She didn’t think it would be fair to you.”
“So than who’s idea was it to come get us?” Mr. Granger asked.
“That would be Draco’s.” Ron stated.
Everyone turned to the blonde who was standing in the corner quietly.
“I think I remember Hermione talking about you. Weren’t you the one that bullied her during school?” Mrs. Granger asked.
Draco bowed his head and answered, “Yes, ma’am.” I knew I shouldn’t have done this without Hermione.
“And why would you want to bring us back? Weren’t you one of the evil guys followers? What do you get out of bringing us to our daughter?”
“Dear, I’m sure there is an explanation, but you don’t need to be so harsh on the boy.”
“Actually, Mrs. Granger,” Ron started, causing the Grangers to look at him. “Things didn’t work out between Hermione and I. I messed up big time, and Draco was there to pick up the pieces. They have been together since shortly after school started.” Ron looked at his hands and chuckled before continuing. “I was a mess after the war, and became even more angry after Hermione chose him over me. I couldn’t figure out why until she started actually smiling again. He helped her with her nightmares. She had - what was it Harry?”
“PTSD,” Draco said.
“Yeah, that!” Ron continued. “He helped her through that. More than I ever could.”
The Grangers looked back at Draco. After what felt like hours to Draco, but was actually a few minutes, Mr. Granger got up and walked over to Draco.
“Well, m’boy,” he said holding out his hand, which Draco took. “I would love to sit down with you and talk, but right now I would really like to see my daughter.”
“Of course, Mr. Granger.”
“How exactly are we getting home?” Mrs. Granger asked from the couch.
Kingsley stood, drawing attention to himself. “We need to exchange our currency to get some planes tickets. How soon would you like to leave?”
“As soon as possible, please,” Mrs. Granger stated. “Well, I guess as fast as possible given these casts and bruises.”
“Oh, yes. Would you mind if I fixed you? It would make things a little quicker.”
“By all means, fix away.” Mr. Granger replied.
A few swishes later, their bones were healed, their bruises were gone, and their casts were destroyed. The Grangers whisked away to gather their things for at least a few days away. As they were getting ready, the boys were waiting in the front room.
Draco broke the silence by turning to Ron. “Thanks,” was all he said.
Ron smiled and replied, “I meant every word.”
Draco began looking closer around the room when he felt his pocket start to vibrate.
HG: I’m done with my last final. Are you still safe?
DM: For right now. How was your final. I know you did wonderful.
HG: What do you mean for right now?
DM: Everything is fine, love, I promise. I miss you so much.
HG: I miss you to. When are you coming home?
DM: I’ll be back by midday Christmas Eve. So tell me, has Theo and Blaise planned some big party for tonight?
HG: Yes, but it’s not going to be the same without you.
DM: And why do you say that?
HG: Because there is going to be alcohol and you remember how I was last time I drank.
DM: Hahaha. Yes, I do. You were amazing.
HG: Thanks. But what am I going to do without you?
DM: I’m not sure. Maybe you can imagine I’m there.
HG: That’s still not the same as you being here.
DM: I know, love. I have to go, but I will message you in a couple hours, okay?
HG: Okay. I love you.
DM: I love you, too.
“Okay. We have our new currency and bags packed. Let’s get to the airport so we can get home to our loved ones,” Ron said when he, Draco, and Harry got back into the car. Draco had stopped writing Hermione about forty-five minutes ago, and he couldn’t wait to hold her again.

“So where is everyone staying during the holiday’s?” Pansy asked as everyone sat down in the open train car.
“My parents are expecting me home,” Daphne said. “Thanks to Astoria leaving.”
“I’m probably going to stop in at my parents place,” Ginny started, “but I’ll probably stay at Grimmauld with ‘Mione. At least until the boys get back.”
Conversation continued easily until the lunch troller came. That’s when Hermione’s pocket began to vibrate.
DM: How was the party last night?
HG: Fine. I didn’t drink a whole lot. It’s not as fun if you aren’t here drinking with me.
DM: Well, I’m glad you aren’t nursing a hangover. Have you heard from my mother yet?
HG: Yes, actually. We have planned to meet at Malfoy Manor with Ginny, Mrs. Weasley, Pansy, Mrs. Parkinson, Daphne, and Mrs. Greengrass on the 23rd.
DM: Splendid. She’s never thrown out any gowns so she’s probably going to offer one to you to wear for the Fundraiser on Christmas Eve? What do you plan to do until then?
HG: I’m staying at Grimmauld with Ginny. We will probably go into muggle London tomorrow.
“You should ask Draco to ask Harry if Daphne and I can stay with you the day before the tea,” Pansy said looking over Hermione’s shoulder.
“I wonder what he would say.” Ginny said grinning
Hermione smiled too. “There’s only one way to find out.”
DM: That sounds exciting.
HG: We might actually go the day after now. Ginny, Pansy, Daphne and I were wondering if Pansy and Daphne could stay the night at Grimmauld the night before the tea (two days from now). Can you ask Harry for us?
Minutes passed with no response. After about 5 minutes, Hermione looked at the girls. “He probably got caught up with something. I’ll let you know if he replies.” She then pulled out her book to read, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t stop looking at her parchment.
After what seemed like forever, the train finally pulled into Kings Cross Station. Still no word. “Well, I guess I’ll owl you when I get a response.” Hermione said gathering up her book and bag.
The girls agreed and started exiting the compartment with Blaise, Theo, and the rest of the eighth years. “Why don’t you come to the burrow with me. Just for a minute. Than we can go to Grimmauld. It might help distract you,” Ginny said to Hermione. “Besides, mum is going to want to talk to you more about this tea.”
Before she could reply, Mrs. Weasley had made her way over to them. “There you are, girls,” she said pulling them into a tight hug. “You both look as if you’ve lost weight. Come now, dinner should be ready when we get there.”
The girls looked at each other smiling, and followed Mrs. Weasley out of Kings Cross.

Draco sat down in his seat next to the window. Mr. Granger sat down next to him. “Nervous?” Mr. Granger asked.
“Yes. Terrified, actually,” Draco said, rubbing his hands on his pants, trying to get them to stop sweating.
“Not to worry, m’boy. This one will only take a few hours. Once we land in Darwin, we will have thirty minutes to get to our next gate for our flight to Singapore. So Draco, tell me a little bit about yourself.”
Draco was about to answer when he felt his back pocket start to vibrate. “Just a moment.” He pulled out his parchment and began to read. A small smile crept onto his lips. When he was done reading, he turned in his seat to show Harry, who was right behind him.
“No, absolutely not. I don’t want four girls in my house,” Harry said when he had finished reading the note. “My girlfriend and best friend are one thing.” Draco signed, causing Harry to ask, “Are you seriously on their side right now?”
“Well, I’m guessing it was Pansy’s idea to begin with because they are having tea with my mother. She and Daphne can teach them some of the things my mother might expect from them. Mother is trying to change everything, but somethings are a little more difficult.”
Harry stayed quiet for a moment longer before agreeing. “Fine. But nothing is to be moved and it better be clean when I get back.”
Draco smiled, turned back around and began to write his response when Mr. Granger asked, “What is that?”
“This? Oh…er…this is a way Hermione and I communicate. It’s faster than an owl.”
DM: After I told him that Pansy and Daphne were going to help you understand more about traditional tea with my mother and other pureblood witches, he clenched his jaw, said yes, and also said that nothing is to be moved and it is to be clean when he gets back. I know it is very late back home. I am on an arrow-plane right now (because we have to travel like muggles to avoid detection) and I am being told to put my tray up. I am safe. I love you and miss you. Very much. I’ll write again when we reach our destination.
Draco folded up the parchment, put it in his pocket and turned back to Mr. Granger to return his pen, only to find him smiling at Draco.
“I’m beginning to get the feeling that my Hermione doesn’t know you came to get us.”
“No, sir. She doesn’t.”
Mr. Granger pierced his lips together. “Right. Well, why don’t you tell me more about yourself.”
LadyShire: Time will tell lol. As for the letter, I don't think that will be revealed for quite some time. But don't worry, there will be some suspense coming up. Right now, we have to get Draco and her parents back home. It's a long trip back from Australia which means there will be a lot of conversation between Draco and Mr. and Mrs. Granger. I'm trying to focus on that because even though Draco recieved the Weasley's blessing, that doesn't mean that the Grangers will be so giving. Just a heads up, the next chapter will most likely be late just because it's going to be full of conversations between Draco and the Grangers (I'll still throw in some Hermione but it most likely wont be a lot).
Thunderbird: Hermione actually seeing her parents is still at least two chapters off, but we will learn a little more about Patrick in the upcoming chapters too. I'm trying to keep the story moving forward. There are just some scenes I can't seem to leave out so it's taking a little longer than I thought it would.
