Author’s Note: Ha through Remus
Lupin in for an extra oomph to the story. How does Snape fit in? Wait and see
kiddies, the funs only beginning.
Professor Dumbledore heard the secret password being used and
moved swiftly to look as if he had been in his other office all along.
ad jad just finished sitting down when there was a knock on his door.
“Enter.” Dumbledore masked his surprise at seeing both Severus and
Remus entering the office at the same time. “Well now this is a
surprise. Remus. Severus. To what do I owe this unexpected surprise
visit?”
Severus through Dumbledore a look and then glanced over at Lupin.
“I haven’t a clue. I was walking towards my classroom when Professor
Lupin grabbed me and told me we had to see you at once. Something to do
with a werewolf being amongst the students. I don’t see how that’s
possible. But I came along to see wolf man here be proven wrong.”
Remus glared at his fellow professor and barely repressed the
urge to growl. “Indeed headmaster I smelt the familiar scent of
another werewolf as soon as they entered into the great hall. I
couldn’t figure out who it was until I followed it to a wall, where it
suddenly vanished. And then after a few minutes the student reappeared
and I knew for sure who it was. I only wanted Snape here to agree to
make more monkshood for the student and make possible allowances.”
“I assume that you want to reveal the students name to Severus?”
Dumbledore mildly said, his heart starting to beat a little faster. So
there was more to the story then Hermoine Granger had let on. “Well I
certainly didn’t expect this. The student in question never mentioned
such an affliction to me while we were discussing how she had survived
the attack. Maybe she doesn’t know? No the student in question is too
smart to overlook something like this. But my question is why? Why would
such a trustworthy student become untrustworthy?”
Severus glanced between the puzzled headmaster to his fellow
professor. “So you both are saying that we have a female werewolf
running around the school at this moment. You both have lost your bloody
minds! You Lupin even admit that the monkshood doesn’t really work on
you anymore that is why you have to chain yourself in every full
moon…and you seem to think that it will help a student?
Wait…survived the attack! You’re talking about that know-it-all
Granger girl aren’t you?! How was she bitten?”
Dumbledore held up a hand to stop Snape’s further rantings.
“Miss Granger survived the attack by being brave, true to her
Gryffindor style. Voldemort is using werewolves to do his dirty work now
Severus. Yes werewolves. That is how they are finding all the hidden
people. Like Remus here was able to smell Miss Granger as soon as she
arrived in the hall with his sensitized human sense of smell, think how
well werewolves can smell. Miss Granger hid in her pool all night
long.”
Remus nodded his head in admiration. “Well thought of. I can
track by sight, smell or sound but if I can’t see you or hear you I
depend on smell. Water washes away the scent so it couldn’t find
her.”
“And by the time morning came a muggle raised alarm and
Hermoine was taken to the muggle hospital where she was treated for her
injuries. She has taken precautions not to leave herself unguarded for
another attack. So for the time being this will remain between the three
of us. Severus I trust you will brew extra monkshood for Miss
Granger?”
“Of course headmaster.” Snape said, threw Lupin another
disgusted look and exited the office.
Dumbledore heaved a relieved sigh and looked towards Remus.
“I’m assuming that there was something that you didn’t say in
front of Severus.”
