Title: Blood and Roses

Summery: It�s Harry, Ron, and Hermione�s seventh and final year at Hogwarts. Hermione�s life has been full of surprises, but mix magic, uncontrolled magic, and other things thrown into the mix and you have one unusual term, Sequel to The Law of Horus.

Chapter Three: The Problems with Life

Hermione now had two problems to tackle. One how in the world was she going to keep from hexing her best friend once he found out that he was going to be a father and two how in the world is Ginny�s child not going to be born a werewolf. The first one however was going to be tackled sooner then expected. Ron appeared and well as Lavender.

� Lavender tell Ron what you want to tell him.�
� Ron I�m pregnant,� she told him in a small voice. � It�s yours!� That simple statement made him pull his wand out.

� YOU LIAR,� he screamed.

� Ronald Weasley you will put that wand down,� said Hermione in a stern voice. Ron didn�t listen and then she pulled her out. � Expelliarmus.� The wand flew out of his hand and Hermione caught it.
Lavender was crying harder then Hermione had seen her when she told her about taking the Lust Potion and giving it to Ron. Suddenly she erupted and vomited all over Hermione�s office floor.

� Yuck,� said Ron. � I�m out of here.� Hermione waved her wand and the door became sealed.
� Not until you understand that you�re going to marry her.� Ron went beet red at those words. She knew that he was about to explode.

� There is no way that I�m marrying her.� Hermione put her hands over her hips.

� Yes you are.� She grabbed him and unlocking the door she threw him out and with him his wand. Then Hermione cleaned messmess up and took Lavender to the hospital wing.
Ron didn�t say anything to anyone for the next few days. He barely spoke during Quidditch matches and when Ron asked what happened he said nothing. Hermione told Ginny and Remus what happened and Ginny was horrified that Lavender would have to resort to a Lust Potion.

� I can�t believe that she doesn�t think anyone wouldn�t like her.�

� I know, but Lust Potions are the biggest temptation that I�ve ever seen. I can�t wait until Severus returns. Then I can get his info.� Remus looked at her as to say, � you won�t like it.�
Severus did return to the school at the very end of September. Hermione at once filled him in on all the exciting and nerve racking things that he had missed. He of course was delighted that the Blackheart�s would soon have another family member, very upset over the whole Lavender/Ron thing, confused about the idea that Ginny�s child wouldn�t be a werewolf, and at least glad that Merlin had somewhat given up on the whole � bouncing cat,� idea.
� Can we spend sometime alone?� she begged. � I hate it when you�re with that foul man.� Severus moaned at what she wanted.

� I have to report to the Headmaster about what I�ve seen.� Hermione licked her lips and he hoped that the report didn�t take to long, because he wanted to be with his wife.
The report took three hours to explain and when he was finally done Hermione was fast asleep. He cursed this war and couldn�t wait for it to be over. He wanted to be with his wife at all times. And as he settled into a fitful sleep he wondered if it would ever be. When he awoke he felt himself inside her and from how she was moaning she was enjoying it. He moaned as well and her kisses woke him up.

� I couldn�t wait,� she told him. � I want you so much.� He turned her over and for the first time the second years had Potions off.
� You should be arrested for what you did!� He pointed out, as they got dressed. Hermione giggled.

� I thought being married meant that I could have a little fun.� Severus rolled his eyes at her idea of � a little fun.� They left their quarters and headed up to the Great Hall for lunch. Hermione was hungry and Madam Pomfrey was busy feeding Merlin, while Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall were feeding Kiki and Garnet.
� There you two are!� said Dumbledore. � Dobby wasn�t feeling well and so we took over the whole feeding thing. Harry said that he wants to spend time with them this afternoon.�

� So what do you think about what happened between Ron and Lavender?� asked McGonagall. � The whole school knows.� Hermione shook her head.

� Everything that happens at this school everyone knows. I mean I�m surprised that nothing surprises them.�
� I agree,� said Remus who had suddenly appeared. His hair was a mess and his clothes were even more lose then before.

� Now what in the name of god have you been doing?� demanded Hermione.

� That�s for me to know and you to find out.� repeating a popular muggle saying. Severus looked at his wife.

� It means that it�s none of our business.�
� Are you hurting Ginny?� asked Madam Hooch.

� No I�m not,� answered Remus, who looked offended at what the Madam had said.

� You better not be, or else.� She made a motion with her hands that made the men wince.
Hermione noticed that during Defense Against the Dark Arts Remus looked more like his old self and she didn�t have to guess why that was the case. It seemed at last that the whole marriage thing was finally agreeing with both of them. That afternoon while Hermione was busy working on her homework for his class (he wanted a two roll essay on the bite of a vampire), there was a knock on the door.
She got up to open it and was met with a very angry Argus Filch. He lookike ike he was ready to murder her right then and there.

� Argus why must you disturb me right now,� she asked.

� This is all your fault Professor.� Hermione stared at him.

� And how pray tell is it my fault?�
� Your stinking rotting little flea ball got my cat pregnant.� Hermione dropped her mouth in shock. � I give you my word Professor you�ve haven�t heard the last of me.� And he turned and left. Hermione closed the door and looked for her cat, she couldn�t find him and she knew that this was trouble. Ten minutes later Harry appeared and saw that Hermione was in a sulky mood.
� What�s wrong with you Moine?�

� Argus came to me and told me that Crookshanks got Mrs. Norris with kittens. Now he�s going to do something horrible to me.� Harry looked at her and then burst out laughing. � It�s not funny?�

� Yes it is as its Filch.� And then he couldn�t stop laughing. The tears were rolling down his face.
Hermione had to admit that it was funny and soon she joined him in laughing as well. The next day since Harry and Hermione had it off Hermione filled in Severus with what happened with Filch. Severus thought it was funny as well. Hermione also started to work on the answer to how in the world Ginny�s child, which the nurse told them would be a boy, wouldn�t be born a werewolf. She worked hard on the problem as the middle of October approached.
