As usual individual review replies are at the end of the chapter.
Big Thank-you’s to my wonderful beta’s BlueTribalRose and Serpent Of Light, love you guys.
Disclaimer: I don’t own anything. I know, I was shocked too.
Anyway, on with the show…I mean story.
Last Chapter:
Both Ron and Hermione stood facing other Harry, giving each other a small glance before turning back to Harry. Harry’s eyes were dark with anger he stood silently glaring icily at the two, knowing saying nothing would make them feel worse.
After a few minutes of deathly silence Hermione spoke up.
“H- H- Harry, what’s wrong?”
Chapter 3: An Entrance
“H- H- Harry, what’s wrong?”
Harry studied her pale and clearly distressed face before he exploded.
“ONE LETTER.”
Ron stepped forward. “Actually…”
Harry turned his glare towards Ron and he stopped dead.
“Oh sorry. ONE LETTER FROM EACH OF YOU, ALL HOLIDAY.”
“Listen mate…” Ron tried to reason with him but Harry was having none of it. He was well known at Hogwarts for his temper, and at the moment it seemed he intended to live up to that reputation.
“ONE FUCKING LETTER.”
“Oi!” Sirius who had been watching amazed over Harry shoulder butted in.
“Language.”
Harry turned round to stare into Sirius’s eyes.
For the best part of the short ‘conversation’ Sirius had kept silent knowing it was better to let Harry blow off his steam than making him keep it bottled up and have him explode with greater force.
But for the first time in his life Harry had actually made him speechless, never had those emerald had so much anger in them that he had seen, and never had all that anger been directed at him before. Harry, upon seeing Sirius’s reaction, crossed his arms across his chest and narrowed his eyes with such venom that Sirius stepped back away from him. Sirius found the kitchen table and leaned against it to stop himself from falling over in shock.
As Sirius leaned against the table he took the time to study Harry, and as he did he caught a glimpse of the pain hidden behind the anger in his eyes. Knowing what he was going through, Sirius knew he had to do something before Harry completely lost control. So he held his hands up in surrender and as Harry turned back round to face Hermione and Ron he gingerly took a shaky step forward, and remembering that he was a Gryffindor he placed a firm hand on Harry’s tense shoulder and gave it a small squeeze.
Harry let out a small gasp and immediately relaxed, all the tension and anger leaving him at once, and all that was left in him was an overwhelming feeling of sadness at having been so malicious and callous towards his two best friends.
He turned his head away from his friends, turning questioning eyes onto his godfather again.
“Thanks,” he said meekly, staring directly into his dark eyes. Sirius nodded.
“No prob, kiddo.” Sirius squeezed Harry’s shoulder lightly before letting go and giving him a playful punch on the arm, and then made his way over to the kitchen counters in the far end of the room and began sifting through the cupboards.
Harry turned back to face Ron and Hermione, who were still standing at the bottom of the stairs which led up to the entrance hall, a safe distance from Harry as they waited in silence that was only broken by Sirius emptying pots and pans out of the cupboards with a lot of banging and crashing.
“Sorry,” he said, still unable to look either of them in the eyes, and instead choosing to fix his eyes on the stone floor.
“Oh Harry.” Hermione cried running the short distance between them and throwing herself at the stunned Harry. Harry looked down at the now sobbing girl and gently slipped his arms round her back, and gently rocking her to quieten her sobbing. Ron walked over to where they both stood and placed a hand on Harry’s shoulder.
“Welcome back, mate.”
The kitchen door opened and in came a grinning Remus and Molly. They both looked at the three Gryffindors and smiled, having heard the shouting from upstairs, both very glad that Harry had calmed down.
“Hello Harry good to see you agai…” Molly stopped as her eyes found their way to the other end of the kitchen.
“WHAT’S GOING ON HERE,” she shrieked.
Sirius jumped up from the floor, which was covered with pots, pans, bowls, jugs and every other kitchen essential you could think off. Apparently Sirius had taken the liberty of emptying every cupboard in the kitchen and leaving the contents sprawled over the kitchen floor. Sirius looked back at Molly, a too-innocent-to-be-true expression plastered over his face.
“I didn’t do it,” he said quickly, a little too quickly.
Remus, who was standing behind Molly in the doorway, snorted, knowing all too well that Sirius was lying, not that it was obvious or anything. Sirius scowled at him but Remus ignored him.
Molly moved slowly towards Sirius like a lioness stalking her prey.
“Oh really, Mr Black?” she smiled, the words slipping off her tongue smoothly.
“Uh, yeah, really.” He managed a small smile, and tried to take a step back because he did not like the smooth tone of Molly’s voice, only to find himself tripping over another pot. Thankfully he managed to keep his balance, but not his composure; he began shifting his feet and glancing at the door like a school kid who had just been caught.
“Then why, my dear,” she asked, her sickly sweet voice echoing round the kitchen she smiling at Sirius, “Are you holding a frying pan?”
Sirius looked in horror at the pan he was holding in his left hand. SHIT he was in for it now. He swiftly dropped the pan and it clattered at Molly’s feet, breaking in half as it hit the floor.
“I was just looking for… SHIT.” And Sirius was gone, darting quickly past Molly and the three Gryffindors, managing to mouth a weak, “save me” to Remus as he fled out the door.
The five remaining occupants listened as Sirius’s footsteps faded up the stairs and with an almighty roar they all burst out laughing, tears running down their cheeks.
‘God, its good to be back’ Harry thought as he sank to his knees, his body doubled up with laughter.

After they had all calmed down Molly shooed them out the kitchen so she could start to prepare the dinner. Leaving them all to go their separate ways.
Remus departed up the stairs the way Sirius had fled minutes before, intending to see if he needed any more ‘saving’, leaving Ron, Harry and Hermione to their own devices.
The trio trudged their way up the stairs to what was now Harry and Ron’s room. It had originally been just Ron’s room but now Harry was here and Ron was more than happy to share.
The room had a homey feel to it, and had Ron’s personality splashed all over it. Posters of the Chudley Cannons, Ron’s favourite Quidditch team, covered the pale walls, the players from the posters zooming in between the writing, trying to catch the Quaffle.
Harry made his way over to one of the two single beds situated in the far end of the room and sat down, bouncing on the mattress a bit to test how springy it was. He sat facing Ron’s bed.
‘Oh my god’ he thought to himself ‘I bet they hate me now, I haven’t lost my temper like that in ages, what am I going to do?’
He was interrupted by Ron who was sat on his bed with Hermione opposite Harry.
“Alright there, Harry.”
Harry looked up to see Ron’s grinning face and he immediately knew he had been forgiven, after all it wasn’t really his fault. Things weren’t looking so bad after all. He had his family and friends near; it was no Hogwarts, but it was close enough, and frankly Harry was actually looking forward to the rest of his summer holiday. They sat talking about the next year at Hogwarts until the sound of Molly’s voice interrupted their conversation.
“DINNER’S READY.”
The three jumped as Molly’s voice carried up the stairs, and they all stood up and made their way downstairs. The smell of the home-made dinner wafted up the stairs, making their stomachs churn with anticipation.

Downstairs the kitchen table was groaning under the weight of the sea of dishes that covered its surface. There were dishes of every size, shape and most unnervingly colour.
The rest of the house was already seated; Arthur sat the head of the table ,Molly on his left, Remus on his right. Next to Remus was Sirius and then a spare seat, and after the spare seat sat the twins and then Tonks.
Harry sat next to a grinning Sirius, and Hermione slipped into the seat next to Molly, Ron sitting next to her and opposite Harry. On the other side of Ron sat his sister Ginny, his brothers Percy and Charlie, and finally at the end of the table facing Arthur sat the oldest of Ron’s brothers, Bill.
“Dig in,” Arthur’s voice chimed once the last chair had been pulled up to the table, and everyone willingly complied.
*BANG BANG*
Two loud knocks sounded at the front door. Everyone quieted, heads began turning in the direction of the door.
“It’s okay everyone.” Sirius said cheerfully. “It has to be one of the Order.”
With that reminder everyone visibly relaxed.
Sirius jumped up from the table as everyone began to eat again and disappeared through the kitchen door watched closely by Remus and Harry.
“Remus, Harry.” Sirius called poking his head round the kitchen door, a worried expression on his face.
Remus and Harry jumped from their places at the table and rushed up the stairs closing the door behind and into the hallway coming to a halt as they met a grinning Sirius.
“Just in case it’s not someone from the Order,” he said, smiling. Harry rolled his eyes.
Sirius cracked the door open and gasped before pulling the door fully open to try and take in the scene before him. There in the doorway stood Severus Snape but that’s not what had made Sirius gasp. For cradled in his arms lay an unconscious, battered and bleeding Draco Malfoy.
Harry stood, his eyes transfixed on the boy lying in front of him. Draco Malfoy, one of the people he hated more than anything, was lying half-dead in his godfather’s arms, his arms hanging limply at his side. Harry felt his insides churning and a wave of nausea hit him. Who could do that to someone?
He scanned him over with his eyes looking for the source of the red liquid, which covered the pale boys, robes, his once platinum blonde hair now matted with blood. At this moment Harry felt something he had never felt for the blonde boy, he felt sorry for him.
“Oh dear God,” Sirius choked, the only one out of the three who had regained enough composure to allow the words to spill out his mouth. Sirius had seen things like this everyday as an Auror before he went to Askaban, so he was kind of used to dealing with this kind of thing, but nothing, absolutely nothing could prepare Harry or anyone for the initial shock of seeing someone like this. ‘Dying’
“I think you better come inside.” Sirius pulled the door gently back and let Severus step into the dark hallway.
Severus nodded his thanks, he didn’t really trust himself to speak at the moment; the person he cared about most in the whole world lay dying in his arms. He forced his mind off the subject knowing that if he thought about it again tears would soon fall; he tore his mind away and turned his mind to the one thing that was crucial at the moment. Saving Draco.
“Where should we put him?” Sirius turned to Remus as he heard him speak.
He looked first the door leading to the kitchen.
“I don’t think Draco would want the Weasley kids to see him like this, so I guess we should take him to our room for now, okay Moony, Snape.”
Snape just nodded again, silently thanking Black. Draco would be eternally grateful that he hadn’t let ‘the Weasels’ see him like this.
Sirius led the way upstairs, Snape followed behind, holding Draco in a loose but firm grip. He didn’t want to hurt the boy even more than he had been already. Remus walked a few steps upwards before turning to Harry who was standing at the foot of the stairs eyes wide mouth gaping. He turned and walked down the stairs and caught Harry in a tight hug.
“There are some sick people in this world.”
Harry pulled back and nodded.
“Go on, we will need all the help we can get, considering none of the Weasley kids will be able to lend a hand.”
Harry turned and began to walk shakily up the stairs. Remus shut the front door and made his way after him.

Draco was laid on Sirius’ double bed; the white silky sheets were now dyed a deep red.
Snape and Sirius were rushing around pulling all the medical supplies they had out of cupboards hidden in walls and behind paintings.
“Remus,” Sirius paused in front of the pair, his hand full of potions of all kinds, bandages and in his left hand grasped tightly was his wand.
“Run downstairs and get Arthur, Bill and Charlie, Harry.” He turned down to look at his godson his eyes filled with worry. Sirius was as much a hero as Harry was, if he could save someone he would regardless of who it was.
“Could you take Malfoy’s robes off and try to find where the bleeding is coming from.”
“No.” Snape’s voice echoed through the room, “No Weasley kids.”
Remus froze in the doorway, not sure whom to listen to.
“Snape,” Sirius snarled, “I know Malfoy wouldn’t want them here but if you want him to survive he needs the best help we can give him, and unfortunately Charlie and Bill and most certainly Arthur fall into that category, and they’re not exactly kids anyway.”
Snape nodded reluctantly and returned to the cupboards, searching for everything that could help Draco. Remus sprinted down the stairs, his mind searching for a quick excuse to get the three Weasleys upstairs.
Harry made his way over to the bed, and he slowly managed to tug the robe off Malfoy’s shoulders and pulled it out from under the blonde before he threw it into a heap on the floor. He turned his attention back to Malfoy and began undoing the buttons on his white blood stained shirt.
“Harry, we haven’t got the time for you to be doing it so slowly he’s going to bleed to death if we don’t find where that blood is coming from.” A voice that Harry couldn’t place with all the noise going on the background stated.
At that moment the door burst open and in rushed the three Weasley and Remus. Bill on hearing Sirius previous words marched over to the bed and began to help Harry strip Malfoy, whilst Remus and Charlie left in search of more medical supplies.
“But he’s just a kid.” Arthur stood in the doorway mouth open his mind still trying to process Remus’s brief explanation of the situation.
“If you’re not going to help then you can sod off, Weasley.” Snape sneered at the red head, which for once didn’t even provoke a response from any of the men. Instead Arthur went into the bathroom joined onto Sirius’ room and began rummaging around.
Harry stared at Malfoy who was lying limply on the bed now clad in only his boxers. Bill who was slowly examining him soon located the source of the major bleeding: a 12-inch gash across the whole of his lower abdomen.
Snape moved forward pushing Harry away from the bed and tilted Draco’s head back and began emptying a vial of blood-replenishing potion into his godsons mouth, massaging his neck to make him swallow it. Sirius moved forward again dumping the large amount of potions he had collected at the foot of the bed.
“Snape, let Harry do that, come and help me with these potions, I don’t know what half of them do.”
Snape sent Harry a half-hearted sneer as he handed over the half-empty vial before helping Sirius sort through the heap of bottle situated at the end of the bed, which was steadily increasing as Remus, Charlie and Arthur joined them in the room.
Harry pulled forward from the wall, which he had been leaning on when he heard Sirius call his name. He inched his way to the other side of the bed grasping the potion bottle Snape held out to him. He gently placed a hand on the top of Malfoy’s head, marvelling at the softness of his skin even though it was still matted with blood. Harry slowly, with shaking hands, poured the contents through the blondes slightly parted lips whilst massaging his throat.
They all stayed like this for some time, Harry emptying bottles down Draco’s throat and the adults dealing with Draco’s numerous injuries. Eventually Remus stood up from where he had been cleaning the blood from Draco’s chest.
“Charlie, could take over from Harry please.”
Harry looked up to stare into Remus’ tired amber eyes.
“No, I’m okay Remy.” And he turned back to massaging Draco’s throat again but this time a little softer than before as some bruises had begun to form, Harry had freaked out a little when he first saw the bruises appearing, but after being reassured by the adults that he had not caused them he had soon got back to work.
Sirius looked up from the bed staring at Harry, and then across the room to the clock on the wall ‘12:39‘.
“Harry, bed now. It’s late.”
“But…” Harry stopped as he saw Sirius’ face, there was no way he would let him stay. Charlie clapped a hand on his shoulder and he released the half-full potion bottle into his grasp. He silently moved round the bed stopping when Snape rose from the bed blocking Harry’s path.
“I know,” Harry muttered, moving round Snape. “Not a word to anyone.” He moved towards the end of the room and he felt a hand propelling him out the door. Before the door shut in his face Harry caught one last glance of Draco lying on the bed, and he made a promise to himself he would make sure Draco got revenge for this, he was still a kid after all, and no child deserved this.
Harry would make sure Lucius paid.
