This one came to me at work (um, yeah, scary and weird - I know, I KNOW! I'm sorry! Just couldn't help it!). I know I have other stories in progress but, well, yeah. So, here we go . . . . not exactly fluff, folks. But then again, you don’t see me writing much fluff, now do you? I have the whole story plotted out - just have to find time in the waking hours to type it up!

The day came and went. If either Harry or Draco was worried about what Snape would do in Potions they left with nothing but confusion. The Professor had neither deducted points or given a detention the entire two hours.
“Draco,” Harry called from behind the Slytherin who was quickly exiting the classroom, trying to keep his distance from the other, raven-haired Gryffindor. “Draco, would you wait!”
Draco felt a hand on his shoulder and turned around to glare at Harry. “I told you to stay away.”
Harry was out of breath from having to catch up to him, “And I told you that that was impossible. Do you want to go somewhere -“
”No.” Draco stated quietly. “Go back to your common room, Harry and stay there.” And with that he walked away leaving a frustrated Harry behind.
Harry watched as Draco left in a swirl of robes, and bit his bottom lip. He looked once in the direction that his Slytherin counterpart had left and then turned to face the dungeon classroom that he had just left. With a deep breath he turned and made his way back to the potions classroom and Severus Snape.

Severus Snape was not a bit surprised when a solid knock sounded on his classroom door only five minutes after everyone had left for the day. “Enter,” he stated crisply. He looked up, expecting Draco Malfoy but instead felt a sharp smirk covering his features when he eyed who had stepped into his doman, “Mister Potter.”
“Professor,” Harry stated quietly.
“Did you wish to speak with me?” Severus Snape stood tall, in his dark robes, moving forward to tower over the boy who carefully made his way further into the room.
Harry swallowed and tried to hide a glare of disdain, “I accept your offer.”
“Oh do you,” Snape stated silkily. “And what does Mister Malfoy think of this?”
“He doesn’t know I’m here. He seems to feel the noble thing to do would be not to involve me and take responsibility for whatever it is you’re blackmailing him, us, with.” Harry stated trying to stay calm but his voice shaking with anger.
“Ah. And yet you care enough about him to submit yourself to what I have planned,” Snape sneered. “How very considerate of you, Mister Potter. Ever the brave and noble Gryffindor.”
“Does that bother you?” Harry sneered back. “That I love someone enough to sacrifice myself for them? Does it bother you that its him I love and not you?”
Snape stalked forcefully forward, pushing the other boy backwards so that his back hit the door he had just entered from, “Love has nothing to do with this, you ignorant brat.”
“Ah,” Harry stated just as crisply. “I see.”
Snape backed off and went back to his desk where he sorted papers. “I will deliver Mister Malfoy to us tonight. You need only be here for your part at midnight. No doubt you have ways to ensure your presence successfully. You are excused, Mister Potter,” Snape stated eloquently.
Harry nodded his head silently and left.

The day came and wait, sometimes too quickly and at other times all too slowly for Harry’s liking. He could barely eat at dinnertime and kept glancing up to try and catch Draco’s eye, but the other boy was constantly ignoring him. Harry sighed and pushed his mashed potatoes around with his spoon. He hated to be going into this alone without talking to Draco first.
“Harry, what is wrong with you?” Hermione asked quietly, concerned.
“Nothing’s wrong,” Harry lied.
“Are you and Draco having problems?” she asked tentatively. The trio had long ago found out and accepted the love that Harry and Draco privately shared. They had the best of hopes for them for when the war ended that they would one day be able to openly embrace their relationship and not have to worry about repercussions.
“Everything’s fine,” Harry continued, not looking up from his plate.
“Harry-“ Hermione started again.
“I’ll handle it, alright!” Harry snapped and instantly regretted it. “I’m sorry, just - leave me alone, alright?” he asked quietly. He sighed and glanced at the long table, at the front of the great hall where all of the professors where seated. He chanced a glance at Snape and sighed when he received a knowing smirk, over a glass of blood red wine, in return.

The darkness of the night continued to lull above Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, masking the dark intentions of those housed there.
Harry sat quietly in a stiff, wooden chair, in the middle of the stark potions classroom in the dungeons. It was so different now, with no fellow classmates and their chatter, no boiling and steaming potions in cauldrons . . . . just himself, alone in a chair . . . waiting. Snape sat at his desk, dealing with paperwork as if nothing were amiss.
Harry sighed and slumped further down in his seat . . . it was 11:07 PM and just when he thought he would sigh again the door to the classroom banged open on its hinges and in stalked Draco Malfoy, magic rolling off of him in waves of fury.
“How dare you!” Draco hissed.
Harry shrunk into his chair and tried to figure out whether he was talking to Snape or himself.
“Ah, Mister Malfoy. I’m pleased to see you’ve made it and in such a mood as well,” he clucked his tongue. “Might come in handy, wouldn’t you say?”
“Shut up, Severus!” Draco glared and stalked over to where Harry sat in the chair. He grabbed Harry by the front of his shirt and dragged him across the room. “We’re leaving - NOW!” They reached the door only to be thrown back slightly by a ward that was in place to keep intruders out and the occupants in.
“I’m sorry to say that that is no longer an option, Mister Malfoy. You and Mister Potter are unable to leave this room until the time that I so grant it.” Severus Snape stated silkily.
“You did this!” Draco turned on Harry. “I told you I forbade it and you did it anyway! Do you know what you’ve done?”
“I did this for you . .” Harry stated quietly.
“Yes, Draco . . .” Snape stated smoothly and walked closer. “He disobyed . . . why not . . . punish him.”
“No.” Draco shook.
Harry bit his bottom lip and looked at his lover. “Draco -“
”I won’t do this!” Draco roared.
“Then I will!” Snape growled and grabbed Harry roughly, pushing him so hard that he slammed into the Professor’s desk. Harry cried out as he hit the desk, his side banging roughly into it, knocking the wind out of his lungs. He lost his footing and fell to the floor.
“Don’t touch him, you bastard!” Draco moved so quickly it took Snape even by surprise. He stood in front of Harry, panting in rage. “Don’t you dare . . .”
“It is either myself or you,” Snape stated with a simple calm, unbuttoning his cloak and laying it over his desk.
“Draco . . . please,” Harry stated. “Let’s just do this and get it over with. I can’t stand what’s happening to us . . . please . . .he won’t win in the end . .” Harry stood up and turned to face Draco, all the while rubbing his bruised side.
“So sure, Mister Potter?” Snape chuckled. “We’ll see. Hit him, Draco.”
Draco hesitated, looking at Harry’s face full of apprehension but determination. He hesitated only until Snape stepped forward, towards Harry, his hand raised.
“Fine,” Draco stated moving forward and slapping Harry across the face.
Harry felt the slap, his cheek warming red under the affront. He felt his own hand come up to cradle his cheek and looked at the floor.
“Harder,” Snape stated. “After all, he did disobey you. Remember your rage when you first walked in . . . so easily betrayed . . .”
“I’m sorry,” Draco stated quietly.
“Just do it,” Harry stated dully. He felt Draco backhand him, felt it so hard that he landed on the floor in shock. He felt a small trickle of blood trail over his split lip to run down his cheek. It hurt - it hurt physically and also emotionally - Draco had never since they first made love ever marred him once. Even when keeping up their facade to others - it had always been limited only to harsh words - never violence.
Snape bent down, and lifted Harry’s face up by the chin, ever so gently, to show Draco his handy-work. “Lovely,” he stated simply. “Such a price to pay. Undress, Potter.”
The time had finally come . . . they were heading straight for damnation.

To be continued . . . .
::wail:: I’m so depressing myself with this! Agh. It’s hard to write - usually I love Severitus fics and ones where Snape is the good guy in support of Harry and even Harry/Draco . . . but ugh . . . I did read those darker fics recently . . .and I guess this just has to get out of my system! ::WAIL:: So sorry. ::sniffle:: those excellent dark fic writers inspired me to do it. Damn them. Heh.
