- Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger walked into the lobby of St. Mungo’s. “I can’t believe Dumbledore let those Muggles bring Harry here! I mean, you’d be a bit nutters too if you had to fight Vo...Vol...Him all the time!”
Hermione nodded. “Yes, but Sirius was the only real family Harry ever had. Maybe his death did more to Harry than he let on... And besides, I’m sure Harry will be able to go to Diagon Alley with us to get our school books.”
The teens walked into Harry’s room. “Hi Harry!” Hermione walked over to her friend and hugged him firmly.
“Hi, Mate,” Ron greeted.
Harry waved erratically at his friends. “Hi! How are you two feeling?”
Ron leaned over to Hermione and whispered, “He doesn’t look sick...”
She nodded in agreement and whispered back, “You’re right about that. Doesn’t sound sick, either.”
“Someone’s sick?” Harry questioned, digging into his pocket for something. “Oh, well, I’ve got just the thing for that! Lemon Drops, don’tcha know?”
“Le-lemon Drops?” Hermione inquired. “Did you say Lemon Drops?”
Harry nodded enthusiastically. “Yes. Lemon Drops. They fix everything!” He waved the tin around. “Surely you know that, Hermione, with all the reading you do! Gave one to Lockhart just this morning! He should be back to writing books in no time!”
Ron scratched his head in pure confusion. “Uh, Harry, mate...you feeling all right?”
“Yes, yes! Never felt better! I had a Lemon Drop this morning with breakfast!” He waved the tin in his friends’ faces. “You sure you don’t want one? You look a bit upset...they’ll make you feel better, I promise!”
Hermione’s eyes brimmed with tears. “Harry, dear, do they have you on any medication?”
”Yes! My Lemon Drops! Dumbledore sent them to me!”
“No, Dear, I mean real medication...”
“Lemon Drops fix EVERYTHING!” Harry said irritably. “They fix curses and poisons and broom crashes and embedded spines and bites and stings and burns and dragon pox and scrofungulus and death and wand backfiring and memory loss...and even heart attacks and the Bat Bogey hex!” he insisted as he nodded vigorously.
Hermione began to back out of the room slowly. “I...I think I’m going to get a mediwitch. You stay here, Ron. I’ll be right back.” She turned and ran out into the hallway.
