In the days since Lord Voldemort's initial defeat by baby Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore has carried a heavy secret. This secret, so inane and enormous, has been both joyous and worrisome for the Headmaster, and now he is extremely glad he has kept it.
Sitting in front of him, the Muggle-born man* of medium stature, and his wife, a woman with the same stature as Petunia Dursley. She was a beautiful, elegant woman with graceful strides, sparkling blue eyes that told of her protective streak and her birth as a Black.
"Hello Theodore, Andromeda." Dumbledore began with a waning smile.
"Hello Headmaster, it has been a long time." Theodore or Ted as everyone else calls him stated. "What have you called us here for?"
"Yes headmaster, I too was surprised you fire called us, as I remember specifically asking you not too unless it was a dire emergency."
The headmaster's grin faltered at that point as he sighed. "Yes, yes I remember that Andromeda. And we do have an emergency at this point. Three weeks ago, your cousin Sirius was struck down in a battle."
"WHAT! What do you mean Sirius was struck down! Why would he be in a battle in the first place, last I heard he was still imprisoned?"
The Headmaster sighed. "Three years ago, Sirius broke out of Azkaban prison using his Animagus form of a Grim. After his escape, he went on a crusade to find the one responsible for his incarceration, Peter Pettigrew. Peter, come to find out, was also an Animagus, and the one responsible for the deaths of those muggles, and betrayal of the Potter family.
He was killed defending his Godson, Harry Potter."
"And what does this have to do with us?" Ted asked, curiously.
The Headmaster smiled, his plan would hopefully work. "Well, his will was read after he was posthumously exonerated. Because of his status as criminal, however, certain documents he came by through legal means were negated, declared null and void, and so he was left without a legal heir. His will stated that the estate was to go to Harry Potter, forty-nine percent, and fifty-one percent to Nymphadora Tonks, or the "only other member worthy of the money" as he stated."
Andromeda grinned. "I still don't see a problem, Headmaster."
"Certain parties have taken exception to this arrangement and have declared Writ of Blood Heir. With the return of Lord Voldemort, I believe it in the best interests of the Wizarding World to make sure this does not happen."
Andromeda growled. "It was Narcissa, then?"
"You always were the smart one, Andromeda. Yes, it was your sister Narcissa. Vladimir, the Goblin in charge of Wills and Bequeathment has, however, been my spy inside the bank for about one hundred years now. He has, unbeknownst to himself, come up with a way to save your family fortune, and allow you back into the family."
Ted Tonks sighed. "we'll help any way we can, Headmaster, I swear it."
The Headmaster smiled. "Thank you, Theodore. I do have a solution, not one you will be pleased with, but one that will make the world safer."
Andromeda glared. "What?"
"I, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, in heed for Harry James Potter, hereby ask for you daughter's hand in an arranged marriage, to be held in a day and a half."
Ted was shocked. "WHAT! NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!"
Andromeda, on the other hand looked at the Headmaster with growing suspicion. "What is your offer to suit, Headmaster?"
The Headmaster blushed. "As head of the Potter family, Harry meets all the ancient requirements of suitor, heir of an ancient pureblood family, carries a seat on the board of Governors at his ascension to adulthood, and most importantly the wealth of a millennial family. If you will agree, Andromeda, your daughter will have married into a noble and ancient family, one with the weight, and the power of the will behind it to usurp the Malfoy claim of inheritance."
Andromeda sighed. "Headmaster, I swore when I left the family that I would not uphold the tradition of arranging marriages for my children. So, it will take more than even that to stop me."
The Headmaster sighed. "Andromeda, this may very well be the last time I may serve as Headmaster of Hogwarts. IF I do not get Harry ascended by the reading of the will, Draco will have taken the vacant Black seat upon his ascension. After that, there will be seven loyal seats on the Board who will place a new administration on the school.
After that, the Ministry of Magic will have no choice but to accept it as their children are placed under torturous curses and forced to do vile acts. If not for your family honor, then the children."
Ted looked at his wife, and as a muggle-born did not really understand the situation. "Headmaster, it seems to me like this is all personal to you. Isn't there a way we can gain a benefit from this arrangement?"
The Headmaster nodded. "Of course, how silly of me, I forgot tradition for a second there, Theodore. In anticipation of your agreement, I have agreed to the transference of one-hundred million galleons to the Tonks vault at Gringotts."
"Wow, Bella only got fifty-million, Headmaster. You really are serious, aren't you?"
"I have never been more serious, or less happy, about anything in my life, Andromeda."
She sighed, as the pureblood heiress; it was her duty to invoke the spell.
"I, Andromeda Black Tonks, hereby lend the hand of my daughter Nymphadora Tonks to Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, in stead of her marriage to Harry James Potter. Let the bells toll."
Nymphadora Tonks was sleeping peacefully, in her one bedroom single person apartment when all of the sudden, her head filled with the sounds of nine bells ringing in a familiar tune.
As she invoked the spell, Andromeda fell to her knees and held out her hand to Professor Dumbledore, who said, "And as his legal guardian, I invoke Harry James Potter's marriage contract valid."
Tonks wearily got up the next morning, her head ringing from the bells in her head. The owl pecking at her window, a snowy white owl, was urgently trying to get in her house. She sighed and opened the window, watching as she landed on her arm.
Taking the letter, Tonks looked at the headline first and paled, paled drastically knowing exactly who the letter was from.
Boy-Who-Lived to Marry in Surprise Ceremony!
That's right, ladies and gentlemen! In a surprise turn of events, this reporter has learned that Harry Potter and Auror Nymphadora Tonks are to be wed this evening at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! After this wedding, it is speculated that Harry Potter will receive the rest of his Potter ancestry, including an estimated one billion galleons!
Whether this woman is marrying Mr. Potter of her own free will, or not, is unknown, however we are told that Mr. Potter proposed to her in a very formal dinner at Chez Gerard, in London.
I know I speak for many of the female populace when I say, "Please, Mr. Potter, don't rush into this!"

She looked at the letter wearily, gulping as she carefully slit the envelope.
What the bloody hell was that! When did I bloody effing propose to anyone, Tonks! I mean, it's not enough that I've got a bloody headache from those bloody rings in my head! Come on! What's going on here, Tonks! I mean no offense but still! I'm too young to get married! What is going on!
I'm sorry... I just realized that if I didn't propose, you didn't accept, Tonks.
If... when you find out what's going on, head to Grimmauld Place, I'm heading there on my Firebolt, I'm using a pensieve on loan from Professor Dumbledore to draw a map to where I have to go from here.
Tonks, I don't know what's going on, but I'm hoping to find out.
Harry
She struggled with herself, knowing that Grimmauld Place was still up for grabs, and the outcome of Draco's ritual would basically force the Order to relocate. Dumbledore had already started on the relocation, leaving them a parting gift of Weasley Wildfire Whizbangs as soon as the door was opened and locking the door with a locking charm.
She made her decision a split second later, apparating to the outside of Grimmauld Place, and tripping immediately. Since she landed on the front porch, she just had to wait for the whirring sound of someone flying at break-neck speeds.
Sighing to herself, Tonks resolved herself for Harry's temper, all the while contemplating the meaning of the nine bells.
Harry was disgusted, and for once the reason wasn't the man standing in front of him. "What do you think you're doing, boy? We lock those things up for a reason! You cannot just go about picking our locks! How dare you!"
"Uncle Vernon, please, I have a headache and I just found out that I'm being married off to someone. That means that more than likely you'll never see me again! So, I'm taking my things so you don't have a visual reminder of the freak."
The man was appeased and backed away, "Just make sure you make an honest woman out of her, boy."
Harry looked startled before nodding at his uncle and saying, "thanks."
The man nodded as Harry got out his Firebolt, tied his trunk and the things from his hidden floorboard compartment on and with a silent stomp said, "goodbye, Uncle Vernon."
Not expecting a response, Harry was startled to hear a silent, "Goodbye Boy."
Grinning to himself, Harry followed the map, making sure to keep clear of the muggle eyes that watched the night skies.
Tonks sighed as the signs of apparition met her ears. "Keep watch Mundungus. I expect him to show up here as soon as he finds out what has happened. Also, if Nymphadora shows up, have her come to my office as soon as possible."
"Right' Professor Dumbledore. I'll just make sure, shall I that no one is in the house?"
"No, there is no one in the house, nor is there anything worth anything, Mundungus."
Tonks stifled her laugh as confusion set in. As the whir of the Firebolt met her ears, Tonks apparated to a park, where it was partially secluded and sent up sparks.
Harry saw the sparks and landed. "Harry?"
He looked over to the woman, his fiancée, and nodded. "Hey Tonks, do you have any idea what's going on?"
She shook her head. "No, as far as I can figure, Professor Dumbledore does. I think it may be best that we go to my mother's house, she and my father swore off Wizarding traditions and sot it's a mostly muggle atmosphere."
Harry nodded. "It sounds like a good idea, what do I do?"
"Here, let me get on the Firebolt and you follow my directions."
Harry agreed, seemingly confused.
As they arrived, they saw Dumbledore out of the south window, talking to her mother. The bells increasing in volume every second. "That's it; I can't take it anymore, Harry. Land, I need some medicine."
Harry thinks about it and kicks the side of his Firebolt, taking them to break-neck speeds again, flying into the middle of the country ten minutes later. Sitting down, the boy looks at his fiancé. "Tonks... umm... I hate to ask but can you unlock this?"
She sees his trunk and nods, hitting it with an "Alohomora!"
Opening the trunk, Harry jingles around and pulls out his pensieve and a small vial. "I found out they don't care about potion brewing as they don't consider potions to be "a real art of Magic", much to Professor Snape's chagrin. I've been practicing; it helps me with my headaches."
She takes the reliever and sighs in relief. "Thanks, what are you doing?"
Harry shushes her for a second, apologizing before doing so, and pulls his memory of when he and Ron flew to Hogwarts in a car. "Tonks, I want to surprise Dumbledore and force him to answer some questions. If... if you want to come with me, I need you to apparate us to Kings Cross and Platform 9 and ¾."
"Alright, but why Hogwarts?" she asks, curiously. Harry grins. "It's the only place I'm allowed to do magic during the Hols. And, believe me, if he's done anything that offends you, or me, I'll hex the man into next year."
Tonks laughed. "I don't doubt that, but can you... kind of... please... not do anything too badly as I want to play too."
Harry nods, and following the same procedure again mounts his Firebolt, with her behind him. As he finds the proper tracks, the only ones in the general vicinity, Harry gets close to the tracks.
"If I'm right, all we should have to do is fly this, we're already going faster than the train."
She smiles. "Thanks, Harry."
After a few minutes of silence, Harry looks over to see Tonks looking at the ground. He smiles. "It's nice up here, isn't it? Away from all the troubles, from all the fame and, the heartache, the pain?"
She gasps as she realizes that Harry was still there, she'd been transfixed at the ground below them. Nodding her head, Tonks smiles. "It's beautiful, Harry. Um... err... can I ask you a question?"
Taking his grunt as an affirmation, she smiles. "Harry... err... did you know about all this?"
He shakes his head. "No... err... actually I didn't even think of you... well, I never thought something like that would actually happen to me, you know? I'm marrying someone that I respect... but... I'm still... what's the word... err... confused. I mean... why did this happen, Tonks?"
She shrugged the signs of Hogsmeade, and the wards protecting the train washing over them as they pass the halfway mark.
"Can I ask you a question?"
Tonks looks startled at the tone of his voice. "Yeah, sure. Wotcher Harry?"
He smiles. "Um... about Sirius, Tonks. I mean, I know he left me some money, but... did you get any? I mean, the reason I ask is that you're one of his descendants. Are you going to get any?"
She sighs. "No, it's looking more and more like the Death Eaters are going to get that, Harry. The Malfoy's are fighting, contesting the will to make it seem like Dumbledore was being preferential by allowing the will to pass and that they have some right to the money."
"Does that mean... will Voldemort get that money?"
Tonks flinches at Voldemort's name but says, "It is looking more and more like it, Harry. We don't really know what's going to happen yet."
As the town gets closer, Harry flies closer to the ground. Looking over the ground, Harry sees many house-elves scattering around the ground, taking packages and snapping their fingers.
Flying past the elves Harry is surprised to see a congregation at the doors of Hogwarts.
Reporters... reporters and Ministry personnel. Harry looks at his blushing bride-to-be and says, "What are they doing here?"
She gulps. "Well, it was in the Daily Prophet, Harry. More than likely, as soon as we get there, we'll be asked to make a statement."
Setting down at the gates, Harry hides behind them and opens the trunk. Tonks looks at him closely and he blushes. "Err... we'll... you're already my fiancé, so it really doesn't matter that I have a... err... slightly illegal document here, right?"
She snorts. "You're really taking this entire "fiancé" thing personally, aren't you, Harry?"
He nods. "Yeah... but... I solemnly swear that I am up to no good"
She gasps as a map of the school comes on. Harry taps the screen like Professor Snape did.
"Secret passage inside the school from the grounds."
Tonks gasps as a tower lights up, the only one. "Harry, that tower there."
He nods and gets back on the broom, taking off. They ride to the tower, to find it is the Owlery. Groaning, Harry slides off and almost screams as Tonks falls off, grabbing the handle. Grabbing her hand, Harry feels the grip slipping as he pulls.
Hitting himself in the head, Harry grabs her wand and says, "Wingardium Leviosa!"
As she floats, Harry moves his wand in an overhead motion and grabs her as she floats in.
She sighs as she hits the ground. "Thanks."
"Really Tonks, what's so hard about not falling down!"
She growls, "well, you and your break-neck flying didn't help much either!"
He sighs and says, "Well, we're here, aren't we? What say we go... confront a certain Headmaster?"
She nods. Gliding the halls like an expert, Tonks was hard pressed to keep up with Harry. He headed straight to the Gargoyle.
