Same deal, I own nothing.
My roommate has a raging love for Snape so I worked him in. Just assume his name was cleared with Draco's and pretend it isn't a gaping plot hole.
No smut here, just boring plot advancement

CHAPTER 3

Draco woke with a start in the morning to loud footsteps approaching and felt himself being lifted by the collar off the couch.

Professor Snape dropped him unceremoniously to his feet and scowled down at him.

"Mister Malfoy, one Mister Finnigin woke me in quite a panic this morning. It appears you cast a rather distasteful spell on his companion, who has since gone missing. Is this true?"

Oh shit oh shit why didn't it occur to me that he would go running to the nearest professor� I should have obliverated him when I had the chance�

Draco nodded

"It was an accident professor, but it's all sorted out I-"

"I can look past your flagrant misuse of magic Mister Malfoy, but Miss Weasley has not yet returned to her dormitory. And I have a sneaking suspicion I'll find her here. Your father would not be pleased to hear you were fraternizing with such a caliber of person"

Malfoy flushed and thrust his chin up.

"Sir I have no idea where Weasley is, probably didn't notice any difference from my hex"

Snape swept past Malfoy and with one flick of his wand the room to Draco's room blasted open. Ginny shrieked rather foolishly and Snape spun and stared Draco down.

"You're a terrible liar Mister Malfoy. Three months detention. And 50 points from Slytherin"

he turned and addressed Ginny

"Miss Granger I couldn't imagine what would cause you to spend your night out of your house, but you'll have 6 months of detention to try to explain it to me. And 100 points from Gryphindor. I'll escort you back, now if you please"

Ginny scrambled out of Malfoys bed and followed Snape to the chandelier. As she scampered past Malfoy he gently patted his hand against her bottom and muttered "remember your promise, I'll be seeing you in detention".

She glared at him, mortified but just then Snape cleared his throat rather loudly.

"today ms. Weasley, if you don't mind. Some of us weren't up late gallivanting around the castle."

Ginny hung her head and disappeared from Draco's sight as the chandelier descended.

And so began their annual detention sessions together. Every Tuesday and Thursday night they were forced to do all sorts of degrading tasks, sometimes together and sometimes alone.
Typically they were silent as they scrubbed out cauldrons and replaced fading labels on potions bottles. The did share a brief mutual laugh when they were forced to clean Snapes desk and they came across something that looked remarkably like a vibrator (Malfoy eventually figured out that it was a �very- oddly shaped bottle cork, but for a long time they both held a higher opinion of professor Snape).

Malfoy of course sneered and mocked her. But not to the level he used to. After she slept that night in his bed, his sheets smelled like her. Mostly earthy and natural, with a hint of lavender and grapefruit shampoo. It made his stomach twinge and despite knowing what filthy things she had done in his bed, he couldn't bring himself to wash his sheets.

He also found himself wanting to see her smile. Although he relished the cross glances she constantly threw his way. He knew she blamed him for everything, but he couldn't bring himself to care. He wanted to touch her. Defile her. Put her in her place. He certainly didn't want forgiveness though.

He constantly found himself thinking about her promise.

Ginny also felt herself looking forward to detentions. Sometimes when he wasn't facing him, she found herself eying the strong outline of his shoulders as he bent over hard at work. By the end of each detention he often had his perfect hair looking disheveled and falling into his eyes. Sometimes she had an impulse to touch his face and brush the hair away. Whenever thoughts like this crossed her mind she would place a hand under her robes and pinch her leg sharply to shock her out of such fantasies.

Honestly, he was a Malfoy. But that was the other thing. She stopped thinking of him as Malfoy. He became Draco. Her Draco.

Oh fiddlesticks this was becoming problematic.

They had to serve their detention on Christmas Eve. That came as a shock to both of them. Draco, who still was out of contact with his father had been planning on spending the holiday at Hogwarts, blissfully without Crabbe and Goyle for once. Ginny however had been planning on spending the holiday with her family and it came as a cruel shock when she realized she would only have Draco as company. (even Harry was spending the holiday at the burrough, but she didn't want to make a big scene so she simply told her family she wanted to stay at school to catch up on work. She was a little hurt when no one made a fuss though)

Snape broke the news to them in early December.

"Mister Malfoy and Miss Weasley" he called them aside from the great hall during lunch one afternoon.

"I want to make it clear to both of you that the spirit of the holiday season will have no impact on your punishment."

The both gasped and Ginny cried out

"But that's not fair! Detention never runs into holidays!"

"yes well miss Weasley you threw away your rights to a holiday with your actions. Let that be a lesson".

Ginny spent that nights detention crying. Draco didn't speak a word to her.
