Chapter 3
Here I am again! Woho! ^.^ I already got two more ideas for HP-fan fiction, I am so proud of me. ^_^’ A one-shot and one with more chapters even when I am not sure how many. Maybe I when I finish with one of my stories one day. We will see. -.-‘
However, for this chapter . . . oh they have a little . . . or some kind of it and . . .
Have fun! ^-^
After that day, they had spent with Ryan and Neville he had not seen him again. It felt strange to him that he already missed the man when he had only met him the one time. He remembered his bright smile and the fun they had had and missed it.
He remembered the moment they had looked so deeply into each others eyes and the moment the blonde had asked for a piece of cake. A little smile played around his lips while he allowed his mind to drift away.
He had tried to find him but had not had a chance. What was strange too! He had searched through the data’s in his computer at work but had not found a house or even flat that the blonde could have rented or brought. After that he had went to search through the hotels but he had not checked in, in one of them.
He felt that something was definitive not right with the blonde but until now, he did not know what.
Harry however was sure that he wanted to meet him again. He had noticed that he was falling for him since the moment he had run into him and knocked him down; of course not on purpose. He remembered how sweet the blonde looked when he pouted and he had done that often during dinner.
He remembered how it had felt when they had been on the way to his house and then Ryan’s, when they had been alone. They had bickered around just for fun and . . .
He needed to see him again!
That blond beauty.
Draco.
He sighed tiredly and shook his head slightly. For a moment, he looked around for orientation and almost missed that blond hair that was walking off, away from him. A sudden predatory smirk played on his mouth and his eyes sparkled while he watched his prey for a minute.
His step fastened without him noticing it and he just stopped himself from shouting aloud. A little growl left his throat nevertheless.
Draco had noticed a presence behind him but he did not know who it was and his pride refused him to turn. So, he waited and listened until he heard the steps coming faster and faster, was now almost running and panic gripped him. It was not unnatural! It was just normal, after all no one had ever followed him since now and he did not really know what he should do.
With a little screech, he finally started running away now. Frightened he tried to look behind him without moving his head too far so his pursuer would notice . . . till now he still could run just because he was late to . . . whatever!
Then he heard the little laugh that almost sounded like a growl and his eyes widened drastically. He speeded up and ran as fast as he could now without noticing where he was running to. This time a scream broke through his lips when he heard the person behind, getting to him even faster.
‘Blaise should have told us that it’s dangerous out here! But he did not forget to remind me that I am not allowed to harm other people! Am I allowed to protect myself, or what? Just you wait till you have one less worker! I want to see if you change that stupid rule then!’ his mind screamed while he tired his best not to brake down because of a sudden lack of air in his lungs. Could he die because of that?
“Draco! Goddamn you! Stop running away from mw!” he heard the shout and shook his head. He knew enough of this world to know not to stop running when someone told you to. He really wasn’t tired of life right now! How was he supposed to perform his duty when he was dead?
“Draco! Stop! Come on you goddamn beauty! Stop!” he heard again and actually considered stopping. Did a killer call his prey beauty? But he couldn’t be sure of that, humans were strange after all! But wait . . . this voice sounded familiar to him. Where had he heard it before? He was not sure because it felt like this running was influencing his hearing somehow too. Was that normal as well?
Harry huffed in annoyance. That just was not right that the man he had longed to see again was now running away from him. So he had to take drastic measures to catch the blonde! He took a deep breath and ran even faster. It was a good thing he had training every week because of his work.
Only five meters . . . four . . . three . . . two . . . and he dived forward. He gripped Draco’s arm and suddenly the both of them were flying through cold air. He tried to turn them so he would not land on him and squash him while the blonde screamed bloody murder.
With a miffed thump, they touched earth again and wrestled around. Draco abruptly tense and blinking in puzzlement and Harry hard breathing with the man in his arms.
“Why are you running away from me?” the man who held him close demanded to know with an annoyed snort in his voice. That voice . . . Harry!
“You idiot! You gave me the fright of my life!” the blonde screeched angry and . . . shocked and . . . overwhelmed and . . .
“Why were you running away from me?!” the raven-haired man huffed again and tried to get to his feet. He did not mind holding the other one close to him but with his luck he would catch a flue, he was sure of it!
“I didn’t know it was you!”
“You could have turned and look at me.”
“No, I couldn’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because . . . “
“Mhm . . . ?”
“My pride refused to let me!”
“Aha.”
“Now stop pouting like your five years old and come in with me. It’s too cold outside to stand around here.” Harry mumbled and pushed the man gently to his doorstep.
“Maybe I don’t want to!”
“Of course you want to.” he chuckled and hauled the blonde into the warmth of his house.
“You’re right . . . but that doesn’t mean anything.” Draco demanded just to make that clear after a little silence from his side.
“Right.” Harry replied absently and wandered directly into his kitchen. He needed a coffee, badly. Automatically he grabbed two mugs out of his cupboard and put some coco in one of them. He had not forgotten that Draco loved hot coco or chocolate.
Draco grinned happily and stood close to the man to watch him work on their drinks. “So . . . how was your day?” he asked and smiled charmingly at Harry.
“Better since you’re here.” the raven-haired man replied without thinking of his words.
“No, really now.” Draco laughed and nudged Harry’s arm softly.
“Don’t know. Normal I think. And since it’s that cold outside now there are almost no criminals to catch. Do you think that weather influences with crime?” Harry mumbled and snorted with amusement of his last thought.
“How should I know? You’re the police officer here not me. What do you think?”
“I’m not sure . . . but it must be . . . somehow. There is no one out there doing forbidden things. Or we just live in a very . . . legal little city.” he thought and believed himself being stupid right now.
But Draco only laughed pleased and shook his had. “That must be it.”
The raven-haired man chuckled satisfied and tipped his head from side to side. He had already forgotten his suspicion about the blonde and his two friends. He was so thankful to have him with him again that he didn’t noticed how his whole being calmed down in his presence.
“Come on you. Let’s watch some TV because I feel the need to sit down.” Harry mentioned and took their drinks with him, grinning like a maniac. He got the pleasure of hearing Draco’s soft giggle . . . that sounded so sweet.
“Oh! What’s that?” the blonde cried out when he got sight of the TV screen but Harry only blinked in confusion.
“Some kind of movie I’d say.” he mumbled uninterested in it.
“No! Don’t! I want to see that!”
With a lifted brow, Harry watched the blonde settle down beside him and staring at his screen in awe. Why did he have to look some teenage movie . . . which played at Christmas too? Wasn’t it his right to say what they would watch? It was his TV after all.
“Hush now. I want to see that.” Draco hissed gently but patted his knee to soothe him down . . . again.
After a little introduction how to use a remote control, which got Harry’s brows quite high, Draco switched through channels and was so bewitched by his TV that the raven-haired man could only shake his head.
Now Draco was laughing himself silly while he had forced him to watch ‘Mickey’s troublesome Christmas’.
Christmas again!
But when he felt the blonde lean into him, still watching the screen fascinated, he did not mind any longer. It somehow felt so normal to sit on his couch and watching TV with Draco but he could not explain it, even to himself.
“Oh watch this! It’s so funny!” the blonde giggled again and earned a small smirk with a playful lifted brow.
“Maybe. However, I really need some food here. If you haven’t noticed, it’s already dark outside and I think . . . yep! Dinnertime is over.” Harry said as if he spoke to a little child with a look at his watch.
“Mhm . . . I had planned to take you out this evening.” the raven-haired man mumbled softly still looking at his watch.
Draco’s eyes widened silently. He was not sure if he wanted them to go out for dinner. He would actually prefer to stay here in Harry’s home and have some quiet dinner.
Insecure he looked out of the window and blinked a few times, concentrated deeply on his wish.
“Ha! See, there is a snowstorm outside! We have to stay at home!” he cried happily when his magic had granted his wish.
With a strange look on his face, Harry lifted a brow. He was sure that there hadn’t been a storm just a few minutes ago.
“Did you just call my home our home?” the emerald-eyed man asked with a big grin on his face.
‘Oh oh.’ Draco thought and shook his head. “You must have misheard me. I hadn’t said anything like that.” he then replied snottily and turned away from him in a swift movement, biting his lip.
Shortly Harry noticed questions rising in him again but the urge to ask was not strong enough so he kept his silence for a while. Sometimes . . . most of times actually, Draco was . . . odd.
“. . . Okay, let me make us some . . . sandwiches.” the blonde mumbled again a bit unsure of things and got up. He had seen this look on his face so often now . . . and he wanted to tell him so badly what he was and what he was doing down on earth.
“Nothing like that Blondie. We watched TV together. We make dinner together.” the raven-haired one shook his head and strode into his kitchen. Still a bit troubled but he already was forgetting what just had happened.
“Uha. Let’s get done with this fast because it had gotten Goddamn cold in here already.” he then demanded and rubbed his hands together. Had he forgotten to turn on his heating?
“Where’s your bread?”
“Eh? Oh yeah . . . the bread.” Harry mumbled confused when Draco tugged him out of his thoughts. Rapidly he pushed a door of another cupboard open and tore his bread out.
Draco just furrowed his brows und took it from Harry. “Let me do it. You’re too . . . hectic.”
Carefully he made their sandwiches with turkey roast and only a bit of ketchup for him on them and told the raven-haired man to make some more drinks for them.
“What? It’s cold in here! But don’t force me to watch some stupid Christmas movie again! This time I choose what we watch!”
“Why? Mickey Mouse had been so funny! I didn’t know it before and I laughed so hard. Next time I think, we should have an oxygen tent and a tissue near by if I start laughing like that again because I think I really would need it then.” Draco huffed, close to giggling again when some scenes repeated themselves in his mind.
“Why that tent and a tissue? You didn’t know Mickey Mouse?” Harry enquired of the blonde with a confused look in his emerald eyes.
“The oxygen tent is . . . well my breathing got a bit troubled when I laughed. And the tissue . . . you see my eyes were watering so badly from laughing that it was really difficult to watch that movie . . . yeah . . . Mickey Mouse? No, I hadn’t known him. So what?” Draco explained and confused himself with it.
“You’re strange.” Harry just snorted and shook his head while he passed the blonde on his way back into his living room.
“You noticed?” Draco smirked proudly and wandered after him.
He just entered and saw Harry take the remote control to change their program and his eyes widened for a moment. Then that smirk was back on his lips and he giggled softly.
“Put that thing back on your table or you’ll have to deal with the consequences.” he drawled softly and his silvery eyes sparkled dangerously.
The raven-haired one knitted his brows in surprise and looked at his companion silently. Suddenly he seemed to be another person. “I don’t like to repeat myself Potter.” was his only reply before the glitter in Draco’s eyes got even darker and that smirk deepened.
He laughed nervously but kept the control in his hands.
“You asked for it!” Draco mumbled shortly and put their dinner on the floor. Then he lifted his eyes again and fixed Harry with them. Silently he took a deep breath and jolted towards the shocked man on the sofa, with a loud battle cry.
Harry could not help himself but growled amused at the blonde stormed his way.
A challenge?
Well then . . . right into battle!
Laughing he caught the suddenly flying blonde and tried to wrestle him down. But, Draco was fighting unfair . . . crafty and . . . insidious.
All at once, Harry felt his ribs and sides tickled while Draco still used his hands to try to remove the control out of his own.
Laughing like a maniac he tried his best to win and keep the control but Draco was a strong opponent.
They rolled around on the couch and almost fell to the floor often enough. Every time Harry twisted so Draco would not fall before he concentrated on their little battle again.
Laughing hard and already out of breath Draco turned and found himself sitting . . . or mostly lying on top of Harry and somehow the both of them stopped, panting and gasping for breath.
Deeply they looked into their sparkling eyes and lost themselves in them for a little time before Draco remembered his task. Slowly he trailed his hand softly over the muscular stomach and chest. Tenderly he caressed his collarbones and neck then down again and up his arms. He noticed the other mans’ irregular breath and the soft trembles in his body underneath him. Smiling softly he bent down even more until their mouths almost touched and noticed satisfied how Harry’s eyelids got heavy.
Carefully he linked their fingers and squeezed his hand shortly. Then his soft hands trailed down again, the remote control forgotten on the floor. Gently he leaned more into Harry and kissed his cheek softly while his right hand scoured about on the floor trying to find the control.
Suddenly with a pleased laugh, he set up again and looked down on Harry with a satisfied glitter in his darkened eyes. Confused and still a bit unfocused Harry watched the blonde straddling on his hips, waving the control and grinning madly. Then his eyes widened dramatically and an angry snarl left his lips. However, Draco only sniggered and petted his shoulder friendly.
“We watch what I want to watch!” the blonde cried happily, waving the remote one last time then stood up and pushed Harry from his couch panting only a little bit. God help him but the raven-haired man was a heavy piece of flesh!
Silently Harry sighed and showed his giving up. Swiftly he took his place beside the blonde again and pondered in his mind why he forced him to watch this crap about Christmas and endless love and happy families. But what could he do? He had lost fair and square. . . maybe not so fair but. . .
Draco picked up their . . . late dinner again and set it on the table. Smiling he looked at him and nodded.
Harry wondered what was wrong this time when Draco’s features darkened with every passing minute.
“Eat! You were hungry!” he demanded and motioned towards the plate with sandwiches.
Oh . . . of course. Harry nodded to but kept looking at Draco silently. It really amused him how easily he got the blonde out of his reservation because Draco was now twisting uncomfortable beside him but unable to end their eye contact.
Finally, he took one of the pieces and looked back at the screen, amusement clearly visible in his emerald eyes.
***
“It’s time. I need to go.” Draco mumbled after a . . . relative peaceful afternoon and evening. They had watched more Christmas movies, of course. Draco had hoped to inspire Harry of it but it hadn’t worked as he had planned it. It was true that the raven-haired man had relaxed more and more while they watched all those lovely Christmas movies.
He wished to give him one of this unforgettable Christmases too, with all the joy and peace, family and friends. But he had no clue how he should do it. Maybe he needed to talk to Pansy and Hermione about it again.
Now Harry was silent but accompanied him to the front door nevertheless. “I want you to stay.” the man whispered and watched the blonde closely. He noticed that he was suddenly close to tears and was huffing slightly to keep himself in check. Silently Draco bit his bottom lip and shook his head.
When he felt Harry’s soft touch under his chin, he lifted his watery eyes again. “Then . . . thank you for a very enjoyable evening.” the raven-haired man mumbled with a gentle smile on his lips and bent down a little.
Draco almost sobbed with frustration. He did not want to go but had to and Harry could have been a bit sadder about it! He sniffed softly and suddenly followed his own wishes. With a quick movement, he pressed himself close to the taller man and tried to bury his face deep into his neck.
Smiling Harry embraced the blonde tightly and bent his head down even more to nuzzle his cheek against Draco’s. He felt the other one tremble slightly in his close touch and tightened his arms around him.
“Now come on you. You said it’s time for you to leave.” he breathed into Draco’s ear while he still held him close.
“Yes . . . yes it’s . . . it’s time.” Draco sobbed silently and refused to look at Harry again. He heard the other man’s soft chuckled and felt him lift his chin again. But, this time their lips almost touched when he focused his sight on him once more.
His breath ragged faintly and he felt like time was standing still. Smiling Harry lowered his lips towards Draco’s and let them finally touch. Sighing he felt the blonde press into him all the more and push up on his toes. With a gentle mumble that left his mouth he kissed the blonde lovingly and felt his heart break with the thought of him leaving.
Draco whimpered softly when he felt a tongue slide over his already parted lips. With a deep breath, he pushed his own tongue against it and then let it slip into his mouth.
Harry felt something strange in his heart, maybe his soul . . . some kind of remembrance and pushes even deeper, pressing them together closer. Moved intensely he explored Draco’s hot mouth before he pulled away softly to separate them.
“Stay.” he whispered again and touched their foreheads together. Draco was looking at the floor again trying to catch his breath quietly.
He wished to stay here with Harry but he knew it was against the rule. Actually, he was not allowed to bond with his charge. Whatever kind of bond.
But, hadn’t they already . . . ? With this kiss, their second kiss. What would Blaise do if he got him into deep trouble because of it? Would he be allowed back home? He felt trapped in his thought and tears were running down his cheeks silently but suddenly he nodded softly.
Harry had watched the blonde wordlessly, had seen the battle he had fought and had seen the tears. He felt moved deeply by this. He hadn’t known that it would affect him like that to see the other man so unsure, sad and embraced him tightly again when he saw the little nod of the blond head. Thanking whatever god heard him that Draco was staying with him.
“Do you have a guest room?”
A/N: Oh well . . . I really thought this would be easier but it was not. I was wrong again. All that I had planned for this chapter was the little kiss but everything around it . . . ˜_˜
