The Leaky Cauldron, Diagon Alley & Draco Malfoy
Finally
after what seemed like months of waiting, which in reality was only
about three weeks, the day arrived to head out to England. Robby Ray
had arranged for himself and the kids to travel by Hannah’s
private jet so that they could talk more freely about their thoughts
on the new life they were about to start. But as soon as they were in
the air it was a scrabble to find something to do other than talk
about Hogwarts. It seemed like that had been all they talked about
and Robby Ray was glad for the next few hours of silence, or relative
silence. Sooner than expected they touched down in an English airport
and were cramped in a cab on their way to the address that Dumbledore
had given Robby Ray on his first visit.
As
soon as they stepped out of the cab and looked at the shabby building
before them Miley and Lilly made faces of disgust while Jackson and
Oliver smiled. The rickitty sign above the door read The Leaky
Cauldron with a picture of a cracked cauldron behind the text.
"Looks
like my kind of place." Jackson said and started toward the door
but Robby Ray reached out and stopped him.
"Hold
on there bud. I think being the father and only adult present I
should go in first." He started toward the door while the kids
followed quickly behind.
"This
is the place where we are supposed to go shopping. How can there be
all the things on this list in there. I mean come on I thought we
were going to a place called Diagon Alley. I want to go shopping."
Lilly whined as they stepped through the door of the rugged looking
pub. Immediately they all pushed a little closer together as they saw
the patrons inside. Several mean looking men and women sat at the
dirty and dark tables around the pub and several more were walking
through a door at the back that lead onto a concrete floor with a
brick wall behind it. Miley turned to look at her father but he was
gone. She quickly made to find him and saw he was approaching the man
behind the bar. Together in a tight group they walked fast toward him
Jackson bumping into him when he stopped. Robby Ray shot them a look
before turning back to address the bartender.
"Excuse
me sir, I’m looking for a man by the name of Albus Dumbledore.
We were supposed to meet him here to go to Diagon Alley. These
knuckle heads are getting ready to start their first year at
Hogwarts. Well technically they’ll be sixth years, except for
my oldest he’ll be a seventh." The man behind the bar
looked like at Robby Ray as if he were dumb but before he could say
anything Dumbledore burst through the front door of the Leaky
Cauldron and several of the men and women around the old pub rose and
walked out whispering insults under their breath as they did. Some
looked even angrier than before while others looked scared. The pub
was almost empty by the time he reached the small group of people.
"Well,
it’s nice to see all of your smiling faces again." No one,
with the exception of Robby Ray, was smiling.
"Well,
howdy do Professor. How have you been?" The two men started up a
quick chat before Dumbledore took out that funny looking watch again
and glanced at it.
"I’m
afraid that I’m not going to be able to accompany you for most
of your trip here. I’ve got a prior arrangement but I’ve
got just enough time to show you what needs to be showed. Now if
you’ll follow me, we’ll get going to Diagon Alley. Don’t
want to be out to late at times like these." He started toward
the back of the pub where Miley had seen people going into and
immediately she hesitated before stepping through the door and
letting it fall shut behind her. Once again she found herself cramped
into a tight space between Jackson, her father. Only this time there
was a brick wall and not the door of a car. She watched as Dumbledore
raised his wand and tapped the bricks in a sequence of one after the
other. She was about to say that this was completely insane when the
bricks folded back and revealed a wide cobblestone street lined with
shops of all different kinds. Her mouth dropped open and her eyes got
wide. She heard Lilly make a soft yelp and turned to see the young
girl was already following Dumbledore and Robby Ray through the
archway. Miley hurried after her and left Jackson and Oliver to pull
up the rear.
"Keep
up ya'll." Robby Ray called over his shoulder as Jackson and
Oliver caught sight of a shop that said Weasleys’ Wizard
Wheezes on the window which displayed several objects the likes of
which none of them had ever seen.
"Oh,
the boys have already found Fred and George Weasley’s joke
shop. Great little store, several interesting inventions inside. They
are quite the pranksters. I've found myself inside on occasion, just
to see what the two have come up with." Dumbledore said as they
hurried off down the street toward the largest building that was
seated at the end of the street. A sign high above their heads read:
Gringotts Wizarding Bank. Miley looked at her father but he was busy
chatting with Dumbledore and wasn’t paying them any mind.
"This
would have to be the most awesome place I’ve ever seen before
in my life." Jackson said coming up beside Lilly trying to look
at everything at once. A young woman with long black hair breezed by
them, her arms filled with shopping bags that tattered dangerously as
she walked faster, a younger girl with the same color hair and
freckles hurried after her trying to keep up and look into all the
shop windows as she did.
"Forty-five
Gallons for an ounce of dragon’s blood, that's outrageous."
An older man with silver hair gasped as he put a bottle of what
appeared to be red blood back on a shelf outside of a shop that had
several other odd looking things crammed in barrels and on shelves
both inside and out. But they were not allowed to stop and look as
they reached to door to the Wizarding Bank. The group followed
Dumbledore inside but the group of teenagers came a screeching halt,
Lilly doing the screeching. Immediately several of the occupants of
the building turned around looking at them and a goblin carrying an
arm full of paper money dropped his load and wheeled around to look
at her.
Dumbledore
gave a laugh and with a flick of his wand the mess of paper money was
cleaned up and business returned to normal.
"What
was that?" Lilly asked rushing forward to stand between
Dumbledore and Robby Ray while Miley crowded behind her with Jackson
and Oliver.
"That,
my dear girl, was a goblin. They run Gringotts. There isn’t a
safer place for your money or valuable than a Gringotts vault, except
for Hogwarts of course." They walked passed lines of people and
goblins all busy doing something. When they reached an empty counter
where the goblin who had been carrying the money was now standing
this time reading what appeared to be a sheet of ledgers they
stopped.
"Hello
Grater, how are you this fine day?" The goblin bowed slightly to
Dumbledore and glared at Lilly who dunked behind Robby Ray for
protection.
"Fine
until that little human scared the wits out of me." He said
looking at Lilly who was peeking out from around Robby Ray, who kept
trying to turn around and see what she was doing. "Muggle born
and raised obviously." Came the next comment and Miley turned
and looked at him. Well, he didn’t have to say it like that.
"Yes,
they’re a group of late-bloomers and from the States."
Dumbledore offered before getting down to business. "They’ll
need to exchange money and start up accounts." Immediately the
goblin pulled out several fresh pieces of paper, a quill and a bottle
of ink.
"Well,
who wants to go first?" Robby Ray looked at Oliver and Lilly who
shook their heads and handed him the envelopes of money their parents
had sent with them. He shook his head but took them and pulled two
envelopes out of his jacket pocket before turning back to the goblin.
It wasn’t very long before they were out of Gringotts each
teenager carrying a large bag of coins with them.
"Okay,
how do these work again?" Jackson asked looking up from his
money bag at Robby Ray who sighed and moved them all to the side of
the street. Dumbledore smiled at them as Robby Ray opened his own bag
and pulled out the three different types of coins.
"Okay
gold is a Galleon, silver Sickles, bronze Knuts. Am I right Albus?"
Dumbledore nodded before speaking.
"Yes
you are Robby Ray, now if you will excuse me I must be going. You all
have your lists right?" The kids nodded. "Good, have fun
and remember only two more days until your journey from King’s
Cross Station to Hogwarts. I’ll see you at the school."
After this he started off down the street and disappeared.
"I
really wish he’d quite doing that. It kind of freaks me out."
Oliver complained as they all pulled out their list of school
supplies.
"Okay,
where do you want to start Lilly?" Miley asked as together they
scanned their lists.
"How
about we go get the robes then a wand and an owl. I can’t
believe I get to buy an owl." She gave a soft squeak so as not
to draw attention to herself as they looked over at Oliver who was
already head to head with Jackson.
"Okay,
I say we go for wands then make our way back up the street and then
double back to that joke shop with whatever’s left over."
Oliver seemed to be consider it for a moment until Miley cut in.
"What
makes you think he’s going with you?" She asked watching
as the two turned to look at her. Oliver, sensing the forth coming
argument, stepped back and so did Lilly. Jackson rolled his eyes at
Miley who crossed her arms over her chest and tilted her head.
"Because
he’s a guy and we are going to do guy stuff while you girls do
your girl stuff." He responded mocking Miley’s stance
which only served to infuriate her more. But as they were in public
and she didn’t want to draw attention to herself she simply
stood up a little straighter and turned to Lilly.
"Fine,
you can have him. But when I get my books and my wand you can bet
that on the train to Hogwarts you’re getting a curse put on you
the likes of which the wizarding world has never seen." She
grabbed Lilly’s arm and together they marched off up the street
toward a shop called Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions
while Jackson looked over at Oliver who had suddenly gone very pale.
"Why
do you let her push you around like that Oliver? Man, if I was you
I’d tell her where to go." Jackson said as they started
off toward Ollivanders wand shop. Leaving Robby Ray standing alone in
the street. Several witches, young and old alike, passed by him and
smiled, some blushing, when he smiled back while other giggled and
began whispering to their friends. He caught sight of an ice cream
parlor on the other side of the street and rubbed his hands together.
"Nothing
better than a little ice cream and good lookin’ women." He
said as he started toward the shop with a smile on his face. Yep, his
kids would live just fine without him for a couple of hours.
In
the robe shop Miley and Lilly were wondering through the racks of
robes when a woman appeared out of nowhere are their sides.
"Well,
hello ladies. Shopping for new school robes." She asked with a
bright smile. She was a very attractive looking short woman wearing
magenta robes that resembled the ones Dumbledore had worn on his
visit.
"Actually
this is our first time shopping for robes." Miley told her as
she and Lilly watched the woman whip out a wand and flick it at a
couple clothe tape measures that instantly began to take their
measurement and a quill leapt up and dipped itself into a bottle of
ink and began to scribble down those measurements. The woman laughed
and watched Miley and Lilly hold their arms out on the urging of the
tape measures.
"A
bit old to be first years aren’t you?" The woman said as
she looked over at the measurements the quill was scribbling. She
pursed her lips and seemed to consider something before turning back
to the girls awaiting her answer.
"Well,
we're late-bloomers ya see and we’ll actually be starting out
in our sixth year." Miley told the woman as she once again
glanced at the measurements.
"So
Hogwarts then?" She asked and when both girls nodded she smiled.
"Oh, you’ll love the school. I attend there for my magical
education. I absolutely loved it. You’ll be needing dress robes
to I suppose." The girl shrugged and she smiled. "Of
course, you will. Well, what colors do you like?"
Miley
and Lilly went on to name off every shade of pink, blue and purple
there was. The quill stopped writing and if it had eyes would have
looked at the woman. She laughed and with a flick of her wand the
quill sat back down on the counter and the piece of parchment floated
into her outstretched hand.
"Well,
I believe I can find you something that will fit your interests. I’m
Madam Malkin’s by the way. What are your names?"
"I’m
Lilly and this is my best witch friend Miley." She said smiling
as the other woman laughed.
"Well,
if you two will follow me we will get you into some nice robes."
She turned and lead the way to the back of the shop, where a girl
with bushy brown curls was being fitted in a very pretty red dress
robe. She looked over her shoulder at the two and smiled.
"Hello,"
she said shortly and turned back around as the woman who was putting
pins in the material rose and looked at the neckline. They gave her a
wave in the mirror she stood in front of and watched her smile back.
When the woman instructed her to take off the robes carefully she did
and handing them to her turned and watched as Madam Malkin’s
told Miley and Lilly to get onto two stools in front of mirrors
similar to the other girls.
"I’m
Hermione Granger, I’m in my sixth year at Hogwarts. What about
you two?" She asked talking a seat on the stool she had been
standing on and watching as Madam Malkin and another woman brought
out black robes and told them to put them on.
"We’re
going to be sixth year students at Hogwarts as well. I’m Miley
Stewart and this is my best friend Lilly Truscott." Hermione
looked at them for a moment and Miley realized that she hadn’t
explained their situation. "We're late-bloomers, we get to start
out as sixth years."
"Miley
and Lilly," Hermione repeated the names out loud and then made a
face as if she recognized the names. "Yes, I believe I remember
Harry saying something about Dumbledore telling him we were getting
some new students from the States. I thought he said there were four
of you though." Miley snorted and rolled her eyes as she thought
about Jackson and Oliver, the traitor.
"Yeah,
there is. My brother Jackson Stewart and my best friend Oliver Oken.
They went to get their wands first." She said watching as
Hermione looked off to the side of the room and smiled at something
in the doorway. Miley turned her head slightly and noticed two boys
standing there looking inside.
One
had shaggy looking black hair and glasses with the brightest green
eyes Miley had ever seen. He looked over at her, his hair was brushed
slightly to the side revealing his forehead and a lighting bolt scar.
He smiled at her and she smiled back.
"Oh
my gosh, that’s that Harry Potter boy Dumbledore was telling us
about. And you must be the best friend Hermione Granger, whom he also
told us about. And are you Ron Weasley?" The other boy had a
shock of red hair, an over abundance of freckles and blue-green eyes
that shinned but not like the green ones of his friend. Miley found
her eyes immediately drawn back to him and he continued to smile at
her. She felt a blush creep up her cheeks and turned to look at the
red head who was nodding.
"Yeah,"
he said looking at Lilly as if she was some sort of alien. Miley
chuckled and moved a little on the stool causing Madam Malkin to pock
her in the leg with a stick pin.
"I’m
so sorry dear, but if you’ll hold still this will go much
faster and be less of a hazard." Miley nodded and held perfectly
still. The other woman who had been working on Hermione’s robe
when they walked in came out with a large bag and a ticket. Hermione
gave her some money and then turned to look at the girls. Lilly was
staring down at the woman who was stick pinning the bottoms of her
robes and Miley was stealing glances at Harry.
"These
are two of the new students that Dumbledore was telling you about
Harry." She told Harry and Ron who looked at her funny for a
moment before realization dawned on them.
"Oh,
really. Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you." Harry said
waving his hand at Miley and Lilly. Hermione went on to tell them
their names and about the other two boys who were off getting their
wands.
"I
don’t blame ‘em for going for wands first. That’s
the best part." Ron said and received a glare from Madam Malkin
for the comment. He turned a rather cute shade of pink and dunked his
head. Hermione stepped forward and kissed his cheek. Immediately
Miley noticed that the two of them were a couple.
"Ronald
has a bit of a big mouth." She told the two girls as she slid
her arm around Ron’s waist and gave him a small hug which he
returned. It was Harry’s turn to blush and dunk his head. Miley
could see that he was not all together comfortable with the public
displays of affection his two friends were giving each other.
"Well,
we’d better get going before Mrs Weasley comes looking for us.
She’ll pitch a fit if we don’t hurry." Harry said
quickly and waved to Miley and Lilly. "See ya at school."
Then he, Hermione and Ron disappeared out the door and down the
street.
"Yeah,
see ya." Miley said a little sad because they had left in such a
hurry. Lilly looked at her and did a double take noticing the
dejected look on her friends face and sighed.
"You
already have a crush and we haven’t even made it to the first
day of school yet." Miley whipped her head around and stared at
her.
"I
do not have a crush on anyone. And even if I did what’s the
difference, it’s not like I have a boyfriend in the Muggle
world or anything." Miley realized that she had just used to
word Muggle and smiled. She already sounded like a witch.
"Uh,
hello, Jake Ryan, hot actor, Zombie High, America’s Hottest
Teen winner two years in a row. Come on Miles work with me here."
Miley rolled her eyes and stepped down from the stool when Madam
Malkin told her to remove the robes carefully. Once they were off she
waited until Lilly had done the same before answering her.
"Jake
and I have been over with for months. I’ve moved on and so has
he. What about that new girl he was seen partying with just last week
in New York, Emily…something?" Lilly pursed her lips and
looked up at the ceiling thoughtfully. Apparently magic had been used
to make the sky scene that was painted there move. Miley looked up
and watched the clouds as they rolled by, her thoughts instantly
going to Harry.
"Well,
I guess you do have a point. You haven’t heard from him in
months anyway so I guess that means its over. Though I really think
you two looked great together." Lilly admitted as Madam Malkin
came out of the back with a bag and a ticket. Miley looked down into
the bag and noticed two very pretty colored dress robes in blue and
pink and happily paid the woman for her robes and waited for Lilly to
do the same.
"Okay,
now we go for wands." She said as they made their way toward
Ollivanders. They passed the ice cream parlor and Miley noticed her
father was talking to some chubby witch who was seated at the table
with him. She had long dark hair and when she smiled her brown eyes
looked like they swirled. She had an air of grace and sophistication
about her that instantly made Miley like her and she looked like she
was keeping Robby Ray entertained as he smiled and licked ice cream
off of the biggest cone that Miley had ever seen.
"I
swear no matter where we go or what we do your father is like a chick
magnet or something?" Lilly said noticing Miley’s
attention had been focused elsewhere.
"Yeah,
well, this one seems like she’s nice."
"Yeah,
from a distance." Miley watched as the witch looked up at the
old man who came to stand beside their table and smiled. She said
something and the man disappeared but returned just as fast with an
ice cream cone that resembled the one that Robby Ray was eating. She
smiled as she took the first taste and Miley shook her head. Robby
Ray must have said something the witch thought was funny because she
laughed and placed her hand over her mouth to keep the ice cream from
coming out.
"My
Dad could fall in love with anyone I think." She said as if only
just realizing that the woman was a witch.
"Ya
think." Lilly said mocking her and they continued on a little
faster down the street. They were just about to open the door to
Ollivanders when it came open and a pale Oliver and an excited
Jackson stepped out.
"That
was awesome. Did you see the fireworks that shot out of my wand when
I held it? They were all like whoosh and I was like yeah and then you
were like ahh and that creepy old guy was smiling and clapping his
hands." Jackson was laughing and making hand motions rapidly to
illustrate his story when he spotted the girls. "Hey, you guys
have to go in and get wands right now. That’s the greatest
thing you will ever do, it’ll be better than shopping for
robes. Which by the way, where is the shop?" Jackson asked as he
and Oliver stepped out and the girls started in. He went on like he
and Miley had not been on the verge of a knock down drag out fight
only moments ago.
"Up
the street across from that book story Flourish and Blotts which we
have to go to after we get our wands." Miley said to Lilly who
nodded her agreement and after a quick 'see
ya later' Miley and
Lilly entered the wand store.
The
room appeared to be empty except for several thousand long thin boxes
that were stacked to the ceiling and along every wall. Several wands
were arranged in a display in the dirty front window and the place
looked and smelled like no one had cleaned it in years. Cobwebs hung
from the ceiling and strung from one box to another giving the place
an abandoned look. But no sooner had Miley and Lilly stepped toward
the small counter that was arranged in front of several rows of wand
boxes that appeared to be ready to fall than a creepy looking old man
appeared out of nowhere.
"Hello
there young ladies. What can Ollivander do for you today?" The
old man asked looking at the two young girls who were standing in
front of his counter. The short blonde girl entwining her arm with
the slightly taller brunet.
"We
need wands." Miley explained pulling away from Lilly who was
acting as if Ollivander was going to jump over the counter and attack
them at any moment. And if he did what good was Miley to her anyway.
"First
time wand shopping." The two nodded, creepy man smiled. "Well,
the wand chooses the witch or wizard. No two wands are exactly alike
and when you have the right one we will know it. Now lets see what we
have here, shall we?" Mr Ollivander came around the counter with
a tape measure that had silver markings on it. "Which is your
wand arm Miss?" He asked Miley. She looked down at her arms. Did
it really matter?
"I’m
right handed if that helps." Miley offered and creepy man
reached over and held up her right arm. Immediately the tape measure
went to work taking her right measurements. Miley rolled her eyes as
she watched the old man read them. The tape measure stopped and
Ollivander disappeared between rows of boxes. He stayed gone for what
seemed like forever before he returned with an arm full of wand
boxes.
He
placed them on the counter and pulled one box out. Extracting the
wand from its velvety wrappings he held it out to her.
"Here
you go, eleven inches, Yew, with a unicorn tail hair." Miley
took the wand and felt a little tickle of power. She gave it a test
wave and sent boxes of wands to the floor and Ollivander went flying
backwards. Miley dropped the wand and turned to see Lilly pressed
against the wall by the window, the only one not covered by wand
boxes.
Ollivander
rose and walked back over to Miley who was on the verge of tears. He
bent, picked up the fallen wand and put it away.
"Not
it." He said simply and reached for another box. Similar
incidents followed each time for several more wands. Some wands she
didn’t even have to wave because Ollivander would just shake
his head and take them back. Miley was just about to give up when
Ollivander reached her a darker color wand.
"Thirteen
inches, mahogany, a dragon heart string, a very sturdy wand indeed."
As soon as Miley’s fingers closed around the wand she felt it.
It was like the wind had picked up and was blowing in the shop,
whipping her hair around her face. The tingle of power was
unmistakably and when she waved it and a pink streamer came out of
the end and wrapped around her arm before it disappeared.
"Excellent,
excellent." Mr Ollivander smiled and Miley sighed with relief.
Lilly’s
luck was must better, no one went flying across the room at least,
and she found hers on the second try. Ten and a half inches, cherry
wood, with a phoenix feather core, a very stylish piece of work.
Miley paid eight Galleons for hers and Lilly paid six Galleons and
two Sickles. Both girls left Ollivanders in a good mood.
They
were on their way back up the street to Flourish and Blotts when a
boy with white blonde hair, pale skin and bright eyes pushed past
them in a hurry.
"Move
it." He snarled and continued walking. A woman with the same
hair and features along with a man who also looked similar to the boy
and the woman curled up his nose as they walked past.
"Filthy
Mudblood’s." He said and even though Miley didn’t
know what it meant she was sure that if the word filthy was attached
to it that it was meant as an insult.
"Weird
vampire guy say what?" She asked whipping around noticing that
the boy had doubled back to the two grown-ups.
"You
heard me." The tall man said putting a hand on the boys shoulder
as if to contain him.
"My
father is no vampire." The boy retorted as he scowled at the two
girls. Lilly was cowering behind Miley again, fearing the worst.
"Well,
would it kill ya to get a little sun? Ya’ll look like a more
modern version of the Adams Family." Miley shot back and Lilly
squeaked in distress.
"Don’t
antagonize them." She whispered in her ear, shaking as she
looked back up at the tall man. "He looks like he is really mean
and his son doesn’t look any better." Miley snorted and
shook her head.
"They
don’t scare me." She said loud enough for the three to
hear and watched as the boy turned a bright shade of red.
"You
had better pray you don’t ever see me again where I can do
magic or…"
"Or
what Malfoy. You’ll talk her to death." Miley turned to
see Harry, Ron and Hermione all standing behind them. The boy named
Malfoy gave a mirthless laugh and a malicious smile.
"Always
have to be the hero don’t you Potter." Malfoy shot back
and several people stopped to watch as wands were drawn and aimed.
This time Miley and Lilly both hid behind the three teens who had
come to their rescue.
Before
anyone could do anything however Malfoy’s father put his hand
on his sons raised arm and pushed down his wand.
"Put
your wand away Draco. Save your fire for a real fight." And with
that the three blondes walked off down the street and were lost in
the throng of the crowded streets.
"Draco,
Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy are three of the most evil people you will
ever meet in your life." Harry told Miley who was still clinging
to the back of his shirt with her eyes closed and head buried in his
back. She pulled back a little and cracked one eye open to see if
they were really gone and seeing that they were she quickly let go of
Harry and stepped back. Lilly looked at her and gave a shaky smile
before taking a deep breath and blowing it back out. She looked pale
but the color was coming back to her cheeks fast.
"Thanks
for…the rescue I guess." She smiled and watched as he
smiled back. Once again she was lost in the green of his eyes and how
handsome he looked with his hair all messy and his wand clinched in
his hand. Hermione cleared her throat and smiled when the two looked
at her.
"What
did you do to get on their bad side?" She asked and heard Ron
grunt, mumbling that they probably hadn't done anything because the
Malfoy's were no good for nothing arse's. She shot him a glare over
her shoulder and raised her wand at him. "Just because we’re
dating don’t think I won’t hex you." She threatened
and they all watched as he nodded and held up his hands in surrender.
"We
were just walking and that boy Draco or Malfoy or whatever pushed us
and told us to move it. Then those two showed up and the big guy
called us Mudblood’s." Lilly told them and watched as all
three of the wand wilding teens clinched their teeth. "What?"
She asked looking at them.
"Mudblood
is one of the worst insults you can get. It means dirty blood. It’s
a name for people who are born to Muggle parents but are witches and
wizards. Not many people use it anymore, mostly arogant purebloods."
Hermione explained as she shook her head. "Malfoy, Draco that
is, often calls me that but only when I can’t hear him or am to
far way to really do anything about it."
"So
you’re Muggle born to?" Hermione nodded and smiled at
Miley and Lilly.
"Yeah,
Harry is a half-blood because him mother came from a Muggle family
and Ron is a pure blood but I’m sure there is some Muggle blood
in him as well." Miley nodded her understanding while Lilly
spotted Jackson and Oliver coming out of the Madam Malkin’s.
"There’s
Oliver and Jackson, do you want to go and see if they want to shop
for books together and we still have to get cauldrons and ingredients
for potions and I still want an owl." Lilly rattled off as she
started to walk away and Miley was left with no choose but to follow
her even though she wanted to stay and talk to Harry, Ron and
Hermione some more.
"I
guess I’ve got to go." She said smiling at Harry who
smiled back and waved as she started to back away. "I’ll
see you on the train." She said before turning and taking off up
the street toward where Lilly, Oliver, Jackson and Robby Ray were
standing in front of the book store.
"You
can bet on it." Harry said to himself and smiled as he watched
the group enter the crowded book store. Miley Stewart was new and
interesting and Harry wanted to know more about her. Much, much more.
