Title: To Save Professor Snape

Rating: M

Summary: Takes place during fourth year Yule Ball. Karkaroff
and his students Imperio Snape and Hermione and the only witness is Harry. When
Hermione becomes pregnant it�s up to Harry, Remus, Luna, and Draco to insure
that Snape isn�t sent to Azkaban.

Chapter 3: One Stop Before Freedom

�� The Healers
kept both Hermione and Snape in St. Mungo until they were all satisfied that no
lasting harm on Snape�s end had been done and that he was still the brilliant
Potions Master that people all hated to love. Hermione was kept in because they
wanted her to spend time with her babies and also to recover from having them.
Fudge came by to ask how Hermione was doing and to file paperwork on the
Godfather and Godmother. Hermione decided to name all that had believed her as
the Godparents and even added Narcissa to the list.

�� Now you all get to
share them and fight over them,� Hermione told Lucius, Narcissa, Draco, Harry,
Luna, Remus, and even the witch that she hadn�t know her name which turned out
to be Tonks.

�� Well who says
their not going to have love,� Narcissa told them, making little kissy sounds
around Lily.

�� I think that Lily
is going to be heartbreaker,� Harry told them. �I mean, she even has my mum�s
eyes.�

Hermione grinned, glad that Lily had gotten her aunt�s green
eyes.

�� Oh Severus better
like his kids,� Narcissa said. �Because they are so CUUUUUTE, makes me want to
have another one.�

She eyed her husband and Hermione laughed.

�� Stay away from me
woman,� Lucius warned.

�� Oooh I think that
was a threat,� she teased.

�� I�m surprised that
Snape could bless the world with cute kids,� Tonks teased, pressing her finger
against Salazar�s nose.

At once his hair changed from black to red and then to
purple.

�� OH HE�S JUST LIKE
ME!� Tonks stated.

Hermione was just plain surprised.

� �Oh I can just
imagine the horror in Professor McGonagall�s eyes when Salazar beats her in Transfiguration,�
Remus said and then chuckled, �Speaking of Professors. Where�s Snape at?�

�� Getting checked
out one last time,� Harry told him. �I�m planning on using Luna to get him into
the room.�

�� Good idea,� Lucius
said. �I swear sometimes she acts like a Slytherin.�

�� Don�t we all,�
Harry said.

Meanwhile Luna and Draco were outside Snape�s room, while
the man in question complained.

�� I wonder if anyone
has told him that he doesn�t have a job anymore,� Luna said.

�� Fudge told him,�
Draco said. �He offered him a position as Chief Researcher of Potions
Production at the Ministry of Magic. A job that pays even more then father�s
job does.�

�� It won�t be the
same without him,� Luna told Draco.

�� I know,� Draco
said. �But he really needs the extra money since he has two little ones to take
care of.�

�� Well I hope he
likes them,� Luna told him.

�� If he doesn�t dad
has threatened to hit him with his cane,� Draco told her. �And trust me that�s
a threat.�

Luna laughed just as Snape came out.

� ��Hello, sir,� Luna said.

�� Hello, Miss
Lovegood, Mr. Malfoy,� Snape said.

�� Are you free?�
Draco asked.

�� Yes but Fudge came
in and told me that I don�t have a job at Hogwarts, like I want to teach or be
around dunderheads,� Snape said. �Well I�ll see you both later.�

�� Sir, can we show
you something before you leave,� Luna asked him. �It will only take a few
moments of your time.�

Snape glared at them but Draco insisted so he went with
them.

�� When Snape
walked in he saw a whole crowd of people, some he really didn�t want to see and
one that he had considered his friend. He sneered at the others and then Lucius
came to him.

�� You�ve got to see
this,� Lucius told him.

�� Lucius the last
time you asked me to see something I was drunk for a week,� Snape told him.

Lucius grinned. �Glad you still have your memory,� Lucius
told him. �This, however, won�t leave you drunk for a week.�

He pushed Snape forward and that�s when he saw them.

�� Aren�t they cute,�
Narcissa said. �Now you have your own brood to take care of.�

�� What the bloody
hell happened while I was out of it?� Snape asked.

�� Well I got
pregnant by you due to be under the Imperius Curse that Igor sent our way and
this is Salazar Remus Snape and Lily Maria Snape,� Hermione told him.

Snape went white.

�� We all worked hard
to keep you out of Azkaban,� Harry said. �I was the one that overheard what
Igor said and what him and his stinking students did.�

Snape backed away and then bolted from the room. Everyone
stared at his retreating form.

�� What bloody hell did he do that for?� Tonks
asked.

�� Give him time,�
Remus said. �He�s just shocked that he had missed something.�

�� I�m not bloody
giving him time,� Lucius said. �I�m having a talk with him and if that doesn�t
work I�m sending to him the most dangerous person in the Wizarding world.�

�� Who?� Draco asked.

�� Minerva
McGonagall,� Lucius answered and everyone laughed.

�� Now that
Snape was free of teaching no one could find him, not even Lucius. However one
day, a week after Hermione had given birth, the one person that Lucius
threatened Snape with found him in the Leaky Cauldron.

�� Finally, I found
you,� McGonagall said setting down. �What are you doing here?�

�� Deciding if I want
to take the post in the Ministry of Magic,� Snape told her. �What are you doing
here?�

�� Getting a few
things for my class,� McGonagall told him. �I�ve heard that you�re a father
now.�

Snape went white. �I don�t want to talk about it.�

�� And why not?�
McGonagall asked him, �You have a son and daughter that needs to know their
father, why don�t you want to be apart of that?�

Snape looked down at his bowl of stew that he had been
eating. Why didn�t she see the sense in not him being around, of not polluting
the room with what he had done?

�� I raped Miss
Granger,� Snape told herm �I violated my oath as a teacher. I don�t know how
Granger can even look at her children and not hate them.�

�� Because Hermione
is different,� McGonagall said. �Her, her friends, your friends worked hard to
keep you out of Azkaban. Hermione saw what had happened for what it was, both
of you had been controlled. She loves her babies and she really wants you
around.�

�� I don�t deserve
anything, I deserve to be in Azkaban,� Snape told her.

McGonagall got mad. �How dare you say that about yourself,�
she snarled. �What happened to the Severus Snape that didn�t let anything get
to him? Hermione has done nothing to deserve the treatment that you�re giving
her and also you have no right to scoff at what�s been given to you. Grow up and
act your age and stop lowering your I.Q to that of Neville Longbottom.�

She got up and stormed out of the Leaky Cauldron.
