Chapter 3- Damon

Hermione knocked on Draco's door with force.

"DRACO! WAKE UP IF YOU WANT TO GET BREAKFAST BEFORE POTIONS!"

She yelled, her breathing shallow from screaming. She sighed, thinking it was no use. After a week of being friends with him, she soon realized that Draco was not a morning person. She giggled as she suddenly remembered yesterday morning. His hair was every where, sticking out in odd places. She knocked a little bit louder this time, and heard a groan in response.

"Draco I'm Hungry...and I am going too eat something before facing Snape..."

Her tone of voice told him she was irritated. He Knew if he didn't get up soon, she would be more irritated than she is now. Giving another groan, he got out of bed and summoned his robes along with his uniform. With his clothes on he left his bedroom and came face to face with Hermione. He gave her a weak smile before saying

"Good Morning sleepy head. Ready?" And she nodded in response smiling. She even laughed at that,He chuckled as he went and opened the portrait door for her. They set off to breakfast through a secret corridor that they found out about.

" So what do you want to do for your birthday tomorrow, Hermione?"

Draco asked with a smile. He really thought about having a secret party , just the two of them. Hermione stopped to look at him. She for a moment just took a calming breath as she knew that he might feel hurt when she told him but he would understand right?

"What is it Hermione?"

"Draco I want too hang out with you tomorrow. I really do. It's just I have too spend time with Harry and Ron. Especially Ron, he is my boyfriend after all Draco..."

Her voice trailed off and she looked at the floor, just too avoid his glaze. She hadn't told Draco or anyone about Ron slapping her or how she had come to the common room and fell to her knees crying. She had sat there that night for a longtime but then got up and went right to bed. Ron had apoligized the next morning feeling horrible and she had forgiven him.

She knew if Draco had found out however,or even Harry.. It was better to keep Draco and Harry out of her and Ron's business after all. Truth was Draco was now her friend and she was happy when she was around him, she didn't want to lose his friendship now especially since she now knew the real him.

" Hermione I understand , really it's okay."

He said looking at her with sincere eyes . Hermione looked up at him and smiled . She was glad he understood, for she loved his friendship. She glad she gave this Draco a chance instead of rejecting him. Then she had an idea too make him happy.

"Draco... I'm not spending time with them my whole birthday. You can spend time with me tonight when I get back, I promise..."

She gave him a sweet smile which he returned. They had arrived at the great hall entrance. Draco gave her one last smile before turning into the great hall alone. Hermione then followed him, two minutes later.

At the Slytherin table Draco didn't really eat much. He just poked at his plate, not paying attention to his so called friends. Pansy kept trying to get his attention by nibbling at his neck, and when that didn't work she moved her hand down to his crotch. He didn't know why but he snapped at her, completely irritated by her intentions.

" PANSY! WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM? I AM NOT IN THE MOOD."

The words shot out of his mouth like Venom. He then looked up to see Pansy, Crabbe,Goyle, and Blaise's shocked faces. He didn't want them to get the wrong idea, for he was looking at Hermione.

" I'm just worried about Transfiguration class today, and of course being around the Golden Trio you know."

They all shook their heads at him as if agreeing with him. Pansy was about too say something but Professor Dumbledore cut her off beginning a speech.

" Good Morning students, I have an important announcement to make."
You could see the twinkle in his blue eyes as he continued. His voice was a soft baritone as it filled the Great Hall.

" We will have a Transfer student from Durmstrand to stay with us for the rest of the year."
At these words the Great Hall that was quiet before, now became buzzed with excitement. Hermione was curious as the rest but she wasn't about to lower herself by giggling loudly like those silly bints,Lavender and Pavarti.

" SILENCE! ENTER DAMON MCKNIGHT, TO FIND OUT WHERE YOU BELONG HERE AT HOGWARTS"
The noise quieted down, and was now silent as the Doors of the great hall opened. There with his legs spread slightly apart, his hands behind his back was no other than Damon McKnight.
His hair,was the color of beige and his eyes were of gray. These were the first things women noticed as he stood there a moment and just looked around the room. Everyone watched in amazement as Damon walked up the great hall and sat in front of the sorting hat. Professor McGonagall placed the hat on his head, but before the hat touched his head the hat said the answer with a deep voice of determination

"SLYTERIN!" Draco clapped along with the others as Damon grinned and sat between Blaise and Theo Nott.

Over at the Gryffindor table, Hermione and her friends were talking about Damon. Hermione stole a glance at Draco, and he gave her a quick smile. He didn't seem very upset with the other Slytherin like they were. Then Hermione thought of something that made her jaw drop.

" Hermione what's the matter?" said Harry and Ron. Hermione shook her head as too say nothing. But they wouldn't leave her alone about it so she told them what was on her mind.

" Don't you think it's strange, But didn't the sorting hat do that also to Draco his first year?" They didn't answer, but their mouths were open in shock

"What?" she said with annoyance.

"Nothing. Just that you said Malfoy's first name!" Harry and Ron stood there like she was insane. But they stopped as soon as she gave them a look of disgust.

"You guys know I meant Malfoy obviously! Gosh that's not the issue for crying out loud! It's about how the sorting hat choose Damon without him putting on the stupid hat! Just like Malfoy. In first year!"
Ron still looked at her weird, but Harry realized what she was talking about and laughed. As soon as he started laughing Ron and Hermione did, and it took them forever too stop. When they finally stopped laughing, Ron stood up.

"May I have everyone's attention Please?" Ron coughed a little, and the Great hall fell silent once again. He then faced Hermione , with a blush of embarrassment .

" Hermione Granger, will you marry me?"

he gave her a hopeful look and continued

" I mean after we finish school my love?"

Hermione's eyes bugged out as she looked at him,she didn't know what too say. She did love Ron and he does her. So she said what she truly meant. Though a part of her was screaming at her to run as far away from him as she could. She didn't heed this warning, after all it was Ron not like it was someone like Blaise or Theodore Nott or.. Or..

He is just your friend Hermione! Draco will never feel that way about you. You should settle for Ron he at least cares and loves you and he's promised not to hurt you again.

" Yes Ronald Weasley of course I will"

Ron Kissed her , forgetting they were in the great hall. The whole hall erupted into applause and wolf whistle could be heard .

How dare he do this? That weasel, with his Hermione? No Draco she is not yours.

But he argued with himself, to him she was his and only his.
No Draco! She is happy, and you know that's what you always wanted, for her too be happy . She is so deal with it. But I can't deal with it, my heart hurts why too much. I love her dearly.

The transfiguration comment was not a complete lie. He was having trouble with his Animagus assignment, all because he couldn't concentrate. His mind wondered to Hermione instead of the damned assignment. He was beyond furious, he was heartbroken

. Draco Malfoy had never felt this way before.

Maybe once, his mother left him heartbroken. But this was not the same thing, he knew it. He could feel it coming from the pit of his stomach. The feeling of heartache and pain. He sighed as he went to his room, for some alone time. At least she is my friend, and with that in mind he felt slightly happier.

Hermione saw Draco walk out of the great hall, the look on his face said it all. He was mad about something. But what about though? She stole a glance at the Slytherin table, and saw his friends laughing. That's what's wrong with him, they probably went too far about talking about her that he left the table.

He really does care about me, I care about him too, he really is a great friend to have around.

She just wish she could spend more time with him, but to do that they would have too risk there friendship. And were both not ready for that, she knew. Being friends in private was nice it felt right,no one gave them pressure or tried to fight with them,but if it became public. Hermione shuttered to think of the chaos that would cause. She envisioned even Slytherin's and Gryffindor's at each others throats.

Tomorrow she would be 19 years old, we will celebrate when everyone else is in bed. That would be nice ,some good quality time with Draco.

She hoped they would have a great time tomorrow and with that in mind, she walked up to her room with a smile on her face.

She didn't see Damon McKnight staring at her from afar. He grinned knowing that everything was working the way he planned it. He couldn't wait until midnight. At midnight Hermione will transform, she will be a beauty by morning. And phase one will already be ready too take action. He smirked as he let at least five girls show him too his dorm, they were attracted to him for some reason. But what reason?

( A/N- OKAY THIS CHAPTER WASN'T THAT LONG I KNOW. BUT NOW DAMON MCKNIGHT IS AT HOGWARTS,SO WE ASK ARESELVES WHY IS HE AT HOGWARTS?AND WHAT DOES HERMONIE HAVE TO DO WITH IT? IM THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THE ANSWERS TOO THE STORY, SO CONTINUED TO READ AND REVIEW THEY MEAN ALOT.)
