Chapter 3
His First Letter
My Dearest Angel,
You saved my life, but I do not know why. I also don't know how to thank you for what you have done for me. I keep thinking what I could have done to be worthy of such kindness from you. I have enjoyed your company as of late. You are very knowledgable, and you provide stimulating conversation. You are so mature for your age and I feel as though I have grown closer to you since you started visiting me.
When you began telling me about everything you went through as a child, and the transition you went through when you got to Hogwarts, I felt as though I have a special connection to you. I shared similar problems and obsticles throughout my childhood as well. I chose to share some of the more embarrassing memories with you because I knew that you would not laugh at me or make jokes. I have never opened up to someone like this since Lily.
I am starting to feel things for you that I never thought I would feel again. I am scared to share this with you for fear that I am going to scare you away by telling you that I think I am falling in love with you. Relations between a professor and a pupil are forbidden, but we are neither to one another anymore. I have not been your professor in a couple of years, but that is just to throw that out there. I don't see how you could ever find me attractive, but if the day were to ever come I would gladly welcome such a relationship. I also wanted to thank you for all that you have done, though I still do not understand why.
