"It'll make sense once I explain it, Granger. Look, have you heard of Maiden's Blush?"

"I thought - " she paused, blushing, "but I thought... female ejaculation, is a myth, isn't it?"

"No, I can tell you" he smiled, very proud of himself for knowing more than her, "and from personal experience, mind you, that female ejaculation is not a myth. Much like multiple orgasms, it is something insecure clumsy blokes don't want the gals to know. But both are real-life happenings for most women... with patience or the right partner, that is."

"What exactly are you proposing, Malfoy?" She was giving him her full attention now.

"Not many guys know how to please their partners to the point where the woman can have multiple orgasms, or ejaculate from the sheer pleasure they're giving her." He was still smiling like the cat who got the cream, as he finished speaking, "but I do."

"So you're saying that your tomcatting Mr. Don Juan ability," the scorn was audible in her voice, "is going to help us when you teach me how to bring myself to -" she trailed off.

"Give me a bit of respect. I may be tomcatting around, as you say, but the birds all know what they're getting into with me. I'm up front about no strings attached phenomenal sex."

"A bit full of yourself, aren't you?"

"It's the truth, Granger, and I actually work hard to make it so. Think about it: have you ever heard any complaints?" He paused and looked at her meaningfully, before continuing, "it would not help my case if I left the girls unsatisfied. So I can be as proud about it as you are about your publication record."

She snorted, as he smiled, and teased, "They both keep us up at night, yeah?"

His tone turned serious as he spoke again, "Look, if we're going to be partners in this, you'll have to both trust me in sexual matters, and respect my experience. After all, you'll be reaping the benefits of my encounters. If you don't want me to look down upon you because you've chosen not to bed anyone thus far, you'd better not look down upon my choices either, alright?"

"Fine," she huffed. "So for teaching me how to bring myself to - to -" she gesticulated, blushing, "you want fifty percent of the profits?" Her tone was incredulous.

"Granger, you're showing your lack of knowledge." She sputtered an inarticulate noise. "Hear me out - I'm the brilliant Potions Trainee here, and for all your reading, you may not recall the finer points of Maiden's Blush. There's a reason for Maiden's Blush being an expensive potions ingredient."

And here the bastard paused for dramatic effect, looking at her with the huge proud smile firmly in place.

"Well? Are you going to tell me, or sit there gloating?" She asked, irritated once more.

"First of all, are you going to treat me and my sexual experience with respect, Granger?" He waited.

She huffed trying to wait him out, then nodded her agreement. "Alright, Malfoy, I'll try to make no comments on your hedonistic lifestyle choices. Now tell me."

He nodded, then continued speaking. "Secondly, there'll be nothing by yourself."

She opened her mouth to speak, yet he held his hand up again to stop her, and explained, "Maiden's Blush needs to be collected by a man, Granger." Her mouth slowly opened, and he gave a quick nod once he saw her understanding. "A sexually excited male, to be precise, for it to have any of its famed properties. Check any reference source you'd like if you don't believe me."

She was blushing furiously now, beginning to understand the strange conditions Malfoy had set upon their agreement.

"I won't be teaching you," he continued, as her embarrassment grew, "I'll be next to you, doing things to you to generate, if you wish, the Maiden's Blush." He paused and smiled, as she raised her hand to her burning cheek. "Just like that, yes," he smiled, pointing to her face.

Then he changed his tone, "If you were dating someone right now, I would ask for a small share of the profits for instructing both you and your partner. Most men are ignorant as to what Maiden's Blush is, where it comes from, how to generate it, and how to collect it. Also, it is quite challenging for the partners to be sufficiently excited to make the Maiden's Blush, while preventing themselves from..." he paused, looking for the right words, "consummation, climax, whatever you want to call it, until after the Maiden's Blush is collected."

"So, if I were to find someone to be in a relationship with -" she was speaking slowly, confused between the embarrassment of discussing this topic with Malfoy, and the brief emotional pang she felt. The realization that he was not interested in having a relationship with her, if his terms about a future boyfriend were any indication, hurt more than she thought. She quickly compartmentalized her feelings and put them aside, to be analyzed once she knew all the facts.

"Then obviously our agreement would need to change, because I doubt the bloke would want me to continue making out with you, even if our association was as lucrative as I believe it will be."

"And meanwhile you ...?" She left the end of her question open to his interpretation, curious as to what changes in his lifestyle he would be offering as part of their deal.

"I'll adhere to the same deal, which should make your egalitarian heart go pitter-patter in excitement. I won't bed other women, as long as our agreement stands, and as long as three other ... let's call them conditions, as long as three other conditions are met." He held up his fingers, signaling each condition in turn. "First, we will both be satisfied by the end of each session, independent of the number of orgasms each partner achieves. That means you, and me, reaching at least one climax after we collect the Maiden's Blush. Secondly, we will agree on a schedule that allows us to... achieve this satisfaction two to three times each week. Thirdly -"

"What - " she interrupted, unsure of what exactly her question would be. Fortunately, Malfoy had guessed.

"I know you need to schedule your days, Granger, and I also know you're likely to let your other commitments squeeze our meetings out of time. I need sexual release two to three times a week."

She scoffed at this, and his lips hardened into a fine line, then he continued speaking. "And I am accustomed to it after all these years. If I can't get it elsewhere because of our agreement, then you'll have to make the time for me." At this he paused and turned his tone cajoling, "Come on, Granger, take a chance. You won't regret it. It'll be an experiment to see how many times you can come each time we meet. Think about it: have you ever experienced that much pleasure?"

"Patient M," said a disembodied voice, "we're ready for you in room 4."

"And that'd be my cue. Look, Granger, wait for me if you're done before me. I'm going to get my clean bill of health certified by these kind healers, so that your mind can be at ease with all the naughty things we'll be doing to each other. It won't take long. Think about what conditions you'd like to set for our experiments, eh?" He strolled towards the door at the back, while she stewed in an emotional maelstrom.

Chapter Notes: Giving credit where credit is due: A different definition of Maiden's Blush was given in an earlier fanfic story, "Through the eyes of a child" by jameslady . That Maiden's Blush is also a potion ingredient that takes two people to create in an act of love, yet her version is a mixture of several ingredients.
