A few things to be aware of:
Each chapter will state who she is being paired with. The name will be in ( ). So the main pairing will be Luna with said male. Also some of these may end up being a two-shot or maybe in a three-shot. If that is the case then the chapters will ALL be titled the same. Example: Luna's Choice Pt.1, Luna's Choice Pt. 2 or so on. If the chapters are connected then they will share the same title
This theme/prompt was #15 Meant To Be
Pairing: Luna/Sirius
And it is the next part of Worth Waiting.
"Not now, Teddy." Remus Lupin pushed down the feeling of bitterness as his son began to pout at being denied a bottle. There were plenty in the bag draped over his shoulder but he was running late. He should have gone with his first impulse and told his wife to pick up her own shopping. What was so urgent about this damn cream? The two times he’d managed to convince her to become intimate in the last two months he hadn’t noticed any remaining stretch marks from giving birth. Carry both bags while carting a nine month old was rather difficult. At times he forgot he was a wizard.
He made a path through the many bodies aiming for the public floo. He had one destination in mind. He’d received an invitation from his old friend last night. Having nothing more to do he figured he’d visit Padfoot after shopping. If it stalled the return home then he would gladly spend a few hours reminiscing over what was lost.
What was lost. It saddened him to think of all those who had died. How close his son had been to becoming an orphan. If not for Sirius’ untimely aide during the last battle he wouldn’t have survived that curse from Dolohov. His long time friend had managed to knock him out of the way in time so the curse merely struck him in the left shoulder instead of in the chest. Then he’d only managed to find his wife in time to spare her a killing curse from the Lestrange bitch. It had struck the wall instead of Dora. So many had been taken away that evening.
As he stepped into the floo his mind brought back another image. As much as he grieved all those lying dead his soul had grieved for something else. A past that couldn’t be changed. It had been years since he’d seen the Lovegood girl. Many times during class he had watched her with great interest. The spitting image of the girl that he had once known. She had carried herself the same way, the voice was eerily similar, along with some of the comments about mythical creatures. He knew that the similarity in looks was easily explained through lineage. When he’d done his research the Lovegoods were related to the Deveroux line. He could only assume that some beliefs ran strong in their family. It wasn’t until he’d seen her again at the final battle sitting next to Longbottom that it struck him just how much the two were alike. His student had matured and grown over the four years. It had brought back images of his deepest regret.
There was a chance that his student’s distant aunt was alive somewhere but he had never been able to find her. Nor had he really tried to look. There was really no point in doing so now. True, seeing the Lovegood girl made him realize how much of a fool he’d been but he had already made his choice. He was already married and had a son, thinking of an old crush would accomplish nothing.
The floo activated as he shouted his destination. He coughed as Teddy fidgeted from the stirred soot. He really hoped there was something hot to drink. The days were getting colder. Pity, his nights were just as frigid. Dora had been acting odd for the last two months. He had no idea what was going on with his spouse. He was hoping that she’d get over the depression as soon as she returned to work.
"Remus, you’ve got him dirty." Ginny groaned seeing the soot all over the baby’s face. Seeing as the other two weren’t going to get up to assist she quickly reached out for the baby. The poor thing was whining and filthy. Without waiting for approval she also got a hold of the diaper bag. They could talk while she tended to the baby. Maybe seeing her in action would give Harry ideas. She knew he wanted a family one day. This way she could prove that she’d make an excellent mother.
"There you are, Moony. Come, Harry was just about to inform us of the reason dear old Sluggy is about to be canned." Sirius poured another tumbler of the whiskey as the other man dusted off his clothing. He had just sat down to enjoy the hilarious conversation. Ginny was telling his Godson about Granger’s latest campaign through the school. Instead of freeing the elves from slavery, she was freeing the students from stupidity. From what he could gather someone had gotten blown up. "He’s done gone and blown some poor git up."
"She wasn’t blown up, Sirius." Harry said nothing as the alcohol was handed over towards his former professor. He was used to seeing his Godfather have a drink or two in the evenings. He didn’t care what the two did as long as it didn’t jeopardize Teddy’s safety. Seeing as Ginny was currently changing a smelly diaper he figured it was safe to let them relax while he complained about his best friend’s antics.
"Now, tell me, was someone hurt?" Remus took a seat on the couch next to Harry. He had never cared for Slughorn. It made him regret not accepting the position that had been offered. Potions had never been his forte. Also, he felt that at least one of them should remain home for the first year of Teddy’s life.
"She wasn’t hurt, but Hermione is going on about how it could have turned out worst." Harry was glad that Luna was safe. Two months had passed since the accident but tempers were still flaring. It didn’t help that another student had fallen into a coma after attempting another potion in the man’s class. "Ginny says she disappeared for several minutes but seems fine now."
"Yes, she was a little disoriented at first but Luna was in perfect health when she went home for the holidays." If a bit out of it. Ginny was sure her friend was still suffering from strange side effects of slamming her head into the floor. The poor girl would stare into space more than usual.
"Shite," the damn glass rattled as it rolled across the floor. There went his drink, the drink he seriously needed right now. Sirius said nothing. He stood to retrieve the fallen glass. The name shouldn’t be that huge of a shock to him. He’d heard it many times in the last two years. Ever since that day, the day he’d seen her face again.
"The Lovegood girl?" Remus glanced over at his friend to see the man’s reaction. It was a discussion they had already had. Not long after the battle at the Ministry. He’d shown up to find the dog drinking heavily. A little prodding and he’d learned the reason his friend was so upset. He had completely forgotten the fact that he had already been around Lovegood to notice the similarities. As for Sirius, that day at the ministry had been the first time his friend had set eyes on the blonde. They had discussed the similarities and they both accepted that she was indeed related to someone they use to know but that’s all it was.
It had happened. Sirius ran a finger along his chin in silent contemplation as Ginny started to go on how that cauldron could have blown up. Only a few minutes? Impossible, he knew otherwise. It was a secret he had kept to himself for so many years. That secret had been one of the things he’d always recall whenever he felt like giving up. While rotting in that cell he would often recall her departing words. Never forget who he is. He had realized then that she had known something would happen to him. He had let that promise and the fact that he was innocent keep him strong all those years. Although he had recalled her words he hadn’t thought about the chance of ever seeing her again. Knowing she was from the close future hadn’t prepared him. She could have been anywhere during this time frame. To see her again, it had been a shock.
While fighting he had quickly glanced over to ensure that no one was trying to flank him on the right. What he didn’t expect to see was his Luna fighting alongside his cousin, Dora. It had such a shock, he had forgotten that he was up against someone like Malfoy, to stumble forward to touch her. He had called out her name while giving into the urge to rush forward. What stopped him from sweeping her up was a nasty killing curse hitting that damn mirror to the void behind him. The blast had caused it to shatter and the shockwave of magic had sent him flying into the wall. The next thing he knew he was waking up in the hospital with a crying Harry. His Godson had believed him dead and ran after that bitch and almost gotten himself possessed by the Dark Lord.
Once out of the hospital everything came back to him. Why she had left, who she really was. The problem was, she didn’t know him. She was still too young to be the Luna he had known. She knew of Moony as her former professor but that was all. The girl that he’d found once more had no idea who he was. The girl he had been waiting for. He had spoken to Moony but his friend had simply accepted the fact that they weren’t the same person. But he knew the truth, the truth she had entrusted him with.
An accident in Slughorn’s classroom had brought her to them. Luna Lovegood had an accident in that poof’s class. What were the odds? The time frame added up. Did this mean Luna had returned with memories of them? Would she recognize him now? The important question was, what should he do with the information? There was no changing what had already happened but he couldn’t help but wonder if it could be possible. If he went to visit the girl would he find a stranger or someone he had never forgotten?
~
Holidays were the worse. Luna pushed the box aside to search for another bag of sugar. The sound of glass clinking had her wincing inwardly. One day she’d finally get round to unpacking everything. It had taken weeks of packing to rush and get father’s things stored away in the attic. Then school had started. The repairs to her home had been finished prior thanks to the Weasley family. Molly didn’t like her living here alone but she was of legal age. The sale of the Quibbler was final last month.
It was sad that her home no longer looked like her home. Unable to keep it the same as when she’d shared it with her father, she had cleaned house. All his clutter had been stashed away. Her home was bare except for the boxes and supplies she recently bought. Sitting in the corner was her Christmas decorations. The tiny tree was laying on it’s side waiting to be decorated. It would be a lonely holiday with no one to keep her company. Molly had sent her a message inviting her over for dinner. Six more days to decide if she wanted to spend the day alone.
Two months had gone by since her return. Not much had changed due to her slight trip to the past. The only differences she’d come across was the fact that Sirius Black and Remus Lupin were still alive. The trio had still snuck off during their last year to do whatever it was they had done. Somehow Remus Lupin and his wife had managed to survive the attack on the castle when they had arrived to help Harry. She was thankful they were alive for whatever reason. Thankful, but hurt.
Two days ago she had gone shopping for some quills when she had spotted Sirius Black. For weeks while accepting what had happened, she had wondered who she missed more. A large part of her missed the younger Remus Lupin. Her female sentiments couldn’t help but ponder what could have happened if he hadn’t more or less told her to get lost. What if she would have stayed? Would she have eventually given in to Black’s antics? After all she was a girl that appreciated positive attention. He had appeared so sad to see her go. The disappointment and hope in those gray eyes had remained in her mind. Had he really liked her?
She knew there was no point in thinking about the past, it was the past. Both men had long moved on. One hadn’t really wanted her to begin with and the other had been a large flirt to many. Yet, why had seeing him with another woman hurt? She would have thought it’d be Remus to cause the disappointment. Perhaps because she had known from the start he’d end up with Tonks had prepared her for that. However, seeing Sirius Black walking down the street had stung. He was the one person that had discovered the truth. A part of her had been hoping that she’d get to see him and speak to him about everything. She should have known it wasn’t possible. The man was trying to live the life he’d been denied for years while falsely imprisoned. There was a good chance he didn’t even remember her name.
With a huff of annoyance she poured the sugar into the container. It wouldn’t bode well to sit down to tea and not have sugar. Or to leave Neville’s letter unanswered for so long. He was wanting to come visit her. She knew she should allow him to come. Was he still talking to Hannah? He had mentioned something about meeting up with the girl last month. She kind of missed him. He wasn’t what she wanted in a boyfriend but he was a dear friend. Maybe she should send a favorable reply. What could it hurt?
~
This wasn’t a good idea. Luna was positive this was a mistake. She did want to visit her old friends. She could exactly call them close friends but she had known them. Why was she here instead of seeking out the one that she had kissed? Just dropping in and saying hi to either was taking a big step. A part of her wanted to see her old professor but she knew that was the worst idea she could come up with. She would not intrude upon his life. However she had a desire to speak with Black. Speaking with someone that knew of her mistake could prevent her from going mad. She had to know for sure if she had dreamt it all or if it had really happened.
Standing in front of former Headquarters brought about a wave of panic. What if he didn’t remember her? Did she have permanent brain damage? There was one way to find out. With courage she didn’t really have she spoke the new password that would bring forth the home. Ginny had believed her lie about wanting to stop by and see Harry during the holidays. She knew that the couple was spending the weekend at the Burrow. The plan was to catch the man at home alone. The chances of someone like him spending his nights alone were slim.
Luna opened the door without knocking. If he got angry she’d use the excuse that she thought Harry would be in. There was the distant sound of screaming coming from further inside. Definitely from the kitchen, something went flying out of the door to roll into the hallway. A voice she recognized was hollering obscenities. Before she could prepare how to introduce her sudden visit, a very ugly house elf came scrabbling down the hall holding it’s ears.
"Kreacher, clean this mess up before I gift you with a pair of dirty socks."
"Shameful, Mistress would be appalled at such.... Oh, hello. How may Kreacher assist?" The house elf examined the intruder, at least this one was of pure blood. He’d rather serve her instead of what was left of the Noble House of Black.
"Don’t worry, I’m sure he won’t give you dirty socks." She liked to think that he’d at least give the elf a clean pair if he intended to free him. At least she knew that he was home. The question was if he was alone and if he’d welcome her. This elf kind of reminded her of Dobby. Her heart still clenched at the loss. He had died after rescuing her.
"Kreacher!" Sirius wondered if taking a belt to the creature would help with his attitude. It was just him that the little disease acted up for. His own house elf had taken an odd like to Harry. Seeing as his Godson wasn’t home, he was being forced to listen to the constant complaints of being forced to serve a traitor. One more remark of the family line ending before the seed of treachery could be passed and he’d remove an ear. He refused to clean up the mess that had been made while the elf prepared his lunch. He knew the bastard to rush to his mother’s portrait to apologize, so he kicked aside the bowl of slop to follow. He turned the corner to enter the hallway. Seeing the house elf speaking politely to an intruder caused him to halt. The blonde head was bent over as if whispering something to his servant. His heart clenched at the curls that brushed the floor. It couldn’t be. "Luna?"
She straightened up at the sound of her name being spoke. Her first thought was that he looked a lot better than she remembered. The same middle aged wizard that her mind could recall from the Battle at The Ministry. His features weren’t haggard or withdrawn. The grey eyes didn’t hold the insane spark she had once seen on a wanted poster. The man was healthy and apparently content with his life now. Ginny had said that Harry and he were getting along great. "Hello, I’m sorry if I’m intruding."
"Not at all. But I’m afraid Harry isn’t here." Why else was she here? She looked as he remembered from that day, the day he had watched her disappear. Had she experienced the past yet? Or was his assumption incorrect? He knew better than to bring the subject up in case he was wrong. Of course, she had to be here to see Harry. If she would seek out anyone from their past it would be Moony. If the man knew the truth he would seek her out regardless of his current position. He had been there when the others returned to school after the holidays. All during the break Moony had constantly moaned about what his chances were that Luna would forgive him for what he’d said. His friend had every intention of trying to form a relationship with the girl when returning. Sirius had sat there, unable to tell them what he already knew. Moony had desperately wanted the blonde and any fool could see that Dora was just someone to fill the void.
Did he not remember her? How to approach the subject? She didn’t feel right just asking him outright. What if she came off as being the loon many accused her of being? "That’s alright, I’m not here to see Harry. I actually stopped by to speak to you. That is, if you have a few minutes to spare."
"I have plenty." He let his eyes roam over the white flowing skirt and the frilly top. The leather sandals were so Luna it made him smile. She still dressed the same. Or maybe he was getting use to seeing Ginny’s attire. "I would offer you lunch but I’m afraid there is a bit of a mess in the kitchen. However, I do believe Ginny left some Vanilla tea. I’m sure if I looked hard enough I could even find some honey."
Luna knew her jaw was hanging open by the quizzical look on his face. Didn’t he realize what he had just done? Only one other person should know her favorite flavor of tea and how she liked it. She doubted Ginny had informed the man. The only way he could know is because he had seen her drink it on many occasions. "You remembered what I like? What do I like on my pancakes?"
"Peanut butter and raspberry syrup." That he could recall. Many mornings he had wondered how she survived the nasty combination. When called upon he could remember a lot of things. "You also prefer your meat baked over fried. You also have the tendency to grind your teeth while you sleep."
He remembered that?! Luna could remember waking up the one night after falling asleep in the Common Room to find him staring down at her with a huge grin on his face. He wouldn’t tell her that night what he found so hilarious. It wasn’t a dream. "So, you remember me? I wasn’t sure if it was a dream or if I had imagined it all. Things are different than what I remember."
"Why don’t we take a seat and talk? I assume this is what brought you here. To discover if I remember you?" Sirius wasn’t sure if she wanted to hear that she was the main thing he had thought about while being in prison. His one hope was to be free one day so he could find her again. His innocence and her face helped him keep his sanity. "I’ll fix you that tea."
~
She hadn’t laughed so hard in a long. Luna leaned her head back onto the soft cushion. It would be so easy to fall asleep. There was a fire going, the cushions were extra comfy and the company was wonderful. Talking about things brought about a sense of peace. She knew she wasn’t crazy. Her accident had allowed her to visit the past and know several beautiful people. One of them was sitting next to her. She was enjoying herself so much she didn’t protest moments ago when he had reached over to grab her hand. Or maybe it was the bitter drink he had offered up after the tea had run out. "I did want to tell you, about Peter."
Did she have to mention his name? Sirius inwardly cringed at the sound of that traitor’s name. Hearing of his death from Harry hadn’t eased his anger at the rat. It didn’t matter that he had felt some remorse at what he was doing. That bastard had been the cause of a lot of problems. The death of his best friend and the rise of the Dark Lord. He got what he deserved. "I understand. Your trip already caused a few changes and you couldn’t risk a major time paradox. Though I must say I am very grateful to be alive."
"Yes, I’m glad as well. I’ve been meaning to ask you about that." She wasn’t sure she wanted the answer but she was curious. She had already informed him that she had watched him die in that battle. From what she could gather his life being spared allowed him to spare Remus Lupin at the last moment. Which kept Tonks from being slain at the hands of her aunt.
"You mean why didn’t I die? I saw your face. You were a little younger than my memories but I knew it was you. I think it was such a shock that I stepped forward with the impulse to see if you were really there. I remember hearing the glass shattering before being knocked back. Of course, I could not say anything to the others. You didn’t know me and Moony didn’t believe it was you. I mentioned the likeness since I knew he had taught you. I never told anyone the truth." He felt that the secret they had shared had made him special to her in some way.
"Thank you, I’m not sure they’d believe us. Ginny says I was only gone for a few minutes." She reached out to place her hand on top of his. It was nice to know that she wasn’t alone with the truth. She could share this with him. It was a shame she hadn’t been able to prevent his imprisonment. "I wish there was something I could say to express how sorry I am. I thought about it many times. Seeing you with the others and knowing what would happen to you. That you’d be betrayed by a friend, imprisoned for a crime you didn’t commit, only to be slain by family before you could reclaim your life."
"Don’t apologize, you did enough. It is because of you that I am here now. While I did not enjoy my incarceration, I don’t regret it. Having your life taken from you, it can cause a man to reflect on what he’s done and what’s important." the soft caress of her palm sent a shiver down his spine. She had a gentle touch. He knew what he wanted, he’d known it the moment he had seen her reappear. He had made a promise to himself waiting patiently while others risked themselves. He had swore that if he were alive as soon as the war was over he would never again pass up a chance at being happy. He would risk anything to be happy and would protect it with everything he had. Fate had smiled upon him that day in the hall. True, he had just come back from spying on some Ravenclaws undressing but fate had allowed him to notice her walking away with the Headmaster. "It also makes a man realize what he wants."
She didn’t have time to ask what it was he wanted. His left hand came around to cup the side of her face, forcing her to look at him. The kiss didn’t start out timid or sweet. Instant heat crashed upon her lips. Almost as soon as she realized that it was happening, he began to deepen the kiss. Not heat, more like electricity shot along her nerves. A spark of excitement centered in her stomach. It felt so good, too good. She knew she shouldn’t be allowing it to happen or enjoying it. They didn’t really know each other that well. People changed and she was sure he had changed over the years. Not to mention she was snogging Harry’s godfather and it was an older wizard.
Recalling these facts didn’t prevent her from allowing him to slide off of the seat to come around to embrace her waist. She brought her arms to wrap around his neck, pulling herself closer to the edge of the cushion. Being held close was nice. There was a strength in his arms that made her feel safe. It had been three years since she’d felt safe while being held. The last time had been when her father had given her a hug after the Dark Lord’s official return and her close call at the Ministry. However, her father hadn’t brought upon the sensation of anticipation or excitement. The touch of his hand running along her back caused a strange ache to form. The hot probing of his tongue was also the cause of the wetness beginning to form between her legs. She’d read enough muggle novels from Hermione to know what it was. The needy way he was devouring her mouth was making her aroused sexually.
Sirius couldn’t hold back the moan as the kiss was returned with equal vigor. His brain and cock registered the fact that he was kneeling between the slender legs. Short, slim, warm legs that were starting to part. He didn’t need to be coaxed, he settled readily between them. His stomach managed to push the material enough that it was now settled past her knees. It wasn’t enough, he wanted more contact. With a rough jerk, he slid her bottom across the cushion until her chest was pressed into his.
Luna gasped at the brush of her nipples against his chest. It had been slight but enough to make the buds pebble. He didn’t seem to mind when she repeated the action, rubbing between them. This probably wasn’t a good idea with how much they had both drank but she didn’t want him to stop.
He knew he should stop but he didn’t want to. She was holding onto him, whimpering against his tongue. Gods, he could feel her heat. Just another inch and he’d be able to get a better impression of how warm she was. He brought his hands around to push the unneeded material out of the way. The silky smooth flesh trembled underneath his fingers. He almost lost control as the pale thighs parted further. All it took was a jerky movement forward and he found himself brushing along the intense heat.
"Oh," she almost moved away feeling the hardness pressing into her. There was no mistaking what that was. Or what it caused every time he moved to make it rub along her moist center. The thin piece of cotton did nothing to hinder the feeling. It didn’t help that it was already soaked through to ensure that it caressed with each swipe of the bulge. The ache was almost unbearable by the time the skilled fingers made it to find her panties ruined. It only intensified when a thumb dipped beneath to run along her slit.
There was no sign that he was to stop as he impatiently grabbed the sides of her panties. He was forced to break the kiss and lean back in order to maneuver them down then off. Just as quickly he had his pants undone and pushed down to his knees. Getting them further was an annoyance since he had to take a few seconds to remove his shoes. The next thing that was discarded was his shirt then hers. Only when he had them completely nude did he settle himself back, allowing her to reinstate the kiss he had broken.
He was so hot. She loved the way he felt pressed into her. The feel of his hard chest pressing into her breast was erotic. She knew she was about to be made into a woman by a very experienced man. His hands were caressing the small of back, easing her mind away from the slight brush along her folds. Her brain registered what it was. The tip of his cock ran along the slit, stopping just before her opening. Teeth nibbled on her bottom lip managing to distract her until something hard as steel pushed into her core. Or it felt like it was going to then nothing. She was sure she’d felt him trying to enter her.
"Try to relax," Sirius took a deep breath to calm his emotions as he brought a hand around to reach between them. He gripped the tip of his cock and realigned it so he could feel where he wanted to be. The other arm held her around the waist as he began to push forward. The girl hissed as he managed to get the head firmly seated. He almost yelled at her to stop when she suddenly clenched around him. He was going to have a time doing this without her squeezing the fuck out of his cock. Which was exactly what she was doing as he proceeded to force more inside. He had only about three inches inside before he was forced to withdraw. Without giving her time to bear down, he penetrated deeper with the next thrust.
She saw stars as he withdrew for the second time only to fill her once more. It hurt so much. She was sure he was splitting her wide open. Used to pain she allowed the next few entries without making a sound. Up until he went almost completely out then swiftly in. Her nails dug into his shoulders but she endured. She knew it was supposed to be painful during her first time but Ginny had said it was a slight pinching pain that didn’t last long. This was more of a tearing sensation than pinching. She was aware enough to notice that beneath the pain was the sensation of being stretched. Him pushing along her walls had a different kind of pleasure to it. If only he weren’t making her open so wide.
Without thinking he drove in hard. He was tempted to go in ball’s deep but feared hurting her to the point of ending things. He didn’t want to cause her that amount of pain despite knowing that she had to be wanting to call it quits by now. He’d only slept with one other virgin during his time in school and it was something he swore he’d never do again. Having to stop because his partner couldn’t handle it put a damper on things. Merlin knew he didn’t want to stop. She felt so damn good wrapped around him. Even while she whimpered he could feel the moisture getting sloppier around his cock. His sweet Luna was getting further aroused the more he proceeded to cram more into the slick passage. With each thrust he could feel the tight walls not wanting to give way.
"Oh, Sirius!" Luna wasn’t sure if she wanted him to keep going or demand that he stop. There was a strange heat surrounding the thick member. Now every time he was going in the pleasure was outweighing the burning. Or maybe she really was mental and got off on pain. Whatever the cause the ache grew until she felt consumed to do nothing but cry out. Just as intense as the buildup, she screamed as the tension broke. She had heard an orgasm was when one experienced a heightened burst of pleasure. She trembled as wave after wave of pleasure crashed through her core. It didn’t help when he kept massaging her muscles while it tore through.
He was trying to hold off, to let her ride it out before emptying himself. His fingernails dug into the soft part of her bottom feeling her teeth biting down on his shoulder. The stinging of nails raking down his arms only further incited his orgasm. With a fierce thrust he went as far as her tiny womb would allow. His cock pulsed rapidly, his balls throbbing as he let go.
~
"Are you sure you don’t want some pie?" Ginny almost insisted as the blonde shook her head no. Seeing as it was more for her she dug her spoon into the warm apple filling. This was so good. It was way too early to be having cravings but this was definitely going to be on her list for the next seven months. The only thing that could make this day greater would be if Harry could stop by after work to help.
Ginny looked around the large shop at the many things needing to be done. Instead of returning after the holidays she had convinced Luna to buy the shop that was for sale. It had been their plan after graduation anyways. Luck would have it that one that fit their needs had come available during their Christmas vacation. Harry had given them what was needed to purchase it and buy some starting supplies. It would be a few months before they could officially open up for business but the idea of having her own shop was exciting. Not to mention she and Harry had a secret. Well, sort of. She had already informed Luna of the baby.
Luna was sure if she had to watch Ginny take another bite of that pie she was going to vomit. The sound of her best friend chewing made her stomach turn. It wasn’t fair. Life often wasn’t but this time it was having a good laugh at her expense. She had done something really bad. So bad she had run home the moment her eyes had opened to find a snoring Sirius Black in bed next to her. She could remember most of that night. The sad part was that she couldn’t really blame it on the alcohol. If she could recall everything then it hadn’t been enough to impede her judgement, right? The man had sent her over a dozen owls asking to talk but she couldn’t bring herself to face him. What could she say to him? Especially now? "Ginny, I’m go..."
"Ehhhh," Ginny barely managed to scoot back in time to prevent the spew from splattering all over her food. What the hell? It didn’t stop with one throaty hurl. The sound of retching echoed in the room as three more sprays hit the carpet. She could distinctly make out potatoes, orange things and brown goo. "I really hope you have a virus and it’s not my cooking. My first homemade meal and my best friend blows chowder. Oh dammit, I think some got on my pie. I was going to eat this."
"Sorry," Luna reached for her wand before the smell caused another attack. What could she say? She wanted to confide in her best friend but wasn’t sure how the girl would take to it. She’d performed the test on herself but she wasn’t that good at it. She’d looked it up in a text before quickly casting it once. The spell was to indicate a pregnancy by glowing a certain color. Red for a girl and yellow for a boy. Hers had glowed an orange blurry color. So she wasn’t sure if that meant she was expecting or if she had gas.
"Was it the stew?" Ginny placed the uneatable pie aside. Even if that tiny speck wasn’t vomit, the idea was enough to turn her stomach away from the dessert. "Maybe you are coming down with something. You are looking rather pale these days. Have you been running a fever? I can ask Mum to drop by if you want."
"No, not her. I mean I don’t want anyone to know yet." Luna took a deep breath before speaking. What could she say? That her one and only time to do something was going to have a major repercussion? Ginny was in a delicate condition because her and harry had been trying. The ginger had bragged on how she and the Chosen One had shagged every night for three weeks straight. That was asking for conception. She’d only spent one night in Black’s bed. True, they had done it more than once but it was still only one night. "Ginny, I need you to do something for me. I was wondering if you could cast a Conceived Charm on me. I tried but it didn’t work."
"Luna, do you realize that charm is only to test for pregnancy? Why would you want to test for conception if you haven’t...ooh, is that why you were busy during the holidays? I told Harry there was a reason you didn’t come over for dinner. Alright, who is it?" Ginny wanted all the details. When had Luna gotten the time to get a boyfriend? It sure wasn’t Neville. Who had touched her friend?
"I’ll tell you after you perform the charm. Please," Luna wanted to make sure before blurting that the father of her possible child was Harry’s godfather. Without having to be asked again, the ginger muttered the charm while waving a wand repeatedly over her still flat stomach. Just as when she did the charm, the glow was a sickening looking orange color. "Am I broke? I’m sure it’s wrong. I haven’t had my monthly since before the holiday and I’ve been getting ill for the last week."
"You do realize that would put you around eleven weeks along. Hmm, you know I think I know what this means. Mine is showing a bright yellow color. The stronger the baby’s magical core the brighter the color. I think you’re having two. You aren’t that far so it would be very difficult to separate their magical cores without a more sophisticated charm. Yellow and red do make orange but yours is a icky orange so I’m willing to bet that the yellow is the more dominant core it’s picking up." Ginny ended the charm. That wasn’t what she expected. Twins ran in her family, not in Luna’s. "Alright, so who is going to have to lose a cock? You promised to tell me."
"I did and thank you for confirming it. I want to ask you to promise to not get angry but I’m sure you will. Don’t worry, it’s not Harry or one of your brothers." Luna didn’t want her assuming she had sunk that low. Although what she’d done was almost as bad. What would Mrs. Weasley think? There was no way she could keep others from finding out. "He’s an older wizard, that I shouldn’t have done something with. It’s Harry’s godfather."
"No way! You shagged Sirius Black? Merlin’s sagging arse, I didn’t know you had it in you. Are you the reason he’s been so damn snappish all month? Harry’s been bitching about the man’s foul mood for weeks." Ginny reached out to touch the trembling shoulders. Was she crying? "Don’t worry, it’s going to be alright. First, you’re going to tell me what happened and then we are going to discuss what you should do."
~
Harry mentally scooted over at the angry curse. He wished to be elsewhere instead of listening to the constant growling coming from the man standing next to the fire place. Ginny was due at any moment. She had sent a message saying she’d be arriving to speak to them both. She had asked Harry to make sure that Sirius was there. He had no idea what she wanted. Well, they had a guess. Molly was insisting that they marry before the baby was born. Seeing as he would want his Godfather in the wedding, she most likely wanted to discuss wedding plans.
"About bloody time," Sirius sneered as the floo activated. Leave it to a woman to leave them waiting. He wanted to be part of their wedding but he wasn’t in the best of moods. Yesterday another one of his letters had gone unanswered. He knew she was receiving them. This was his own fault. He was getting what he deserved. The girl had every right to hate him. First, he had used her trust to get her intoxicated. He shouldn’t have let things go so far. He didn’t regret it, he regretted that it happened that way. She deserved to be pampered and courted. Rutting like a rabbit was beneath someone so pure and sweet. How could he apologize when she refused to speak to him?
Harry didn’t remark as his fiancé stepped through the floo. He immediately noticed that she wasn’t alone. Before he could greet the blonde, his bride to be took three rushed steps forward before slamming a fist into his godfather’s face. The poor man didn’t have time to see it coming as he had been standing right next to the floo. Mirth and confusion had him unable to speak. Not even seeing the blood running down the man’s chin could stir his voice into action.
"That is for not asking my permission before seducing my best friend. You have broken one of the cardinal rules of best friendship. Luckily for you I would have given my consent or you’d be missing your balls." Ginny crossed her arms and dared the man to deny her accusations. He was holding his nose and gawking at her like her head had been invaded by Wrackspurts.
Without speaking, Harry walked over to the man. With a flick of his wand he used the spell that had been taught by the wide-eyed blonde. He was positive he’d heard the words best friend and seduced. "Ginny, calm down. I’m sure whatever you are accusing Sirius of isn’t true."
"Don’t, Harry." Sirius wiped the blood from above his mouth and turned to look at the girl he’d been trying to contact for two months. He wasn’t surprised that she had eventually confided in her friend. This wasn’t the way he wanted for things to come about. This conversation was best left in private. "She had every right to strike me. While I didn’t know I needed her permission, I did indeed do what she has accused me of. However, I’d like the chance to speak to Luna in private before this conversation gets out of hand."
"You slept with Luna? What the hell were you thinking? She’s young enough to be your daughter." Harry wanted to pretend he hadn’t heard that. His godfather with Luna? He didn’t realize that the two knew each other. "When? Do you even know each other?"
"That’s a good question. I asked it myself. It seems that the two ran into each other right before school began. She says they decided to have lunch together that day. Since that point they have been secretly owling each other. The reason she didn’t spend time with us during the holidays is because she was sneaking off to spend time with him." Ginny rehashed the version of the story she’d been given. "And that’s not all he’s done."
"Ginny, please. Seeing as Luna has informed you of how we’ve been spending time together, I’d like to believe that you can understand how it came about." Sirius was glad the girl had thought up something passable. The truth was best kept between them. He couldn’t say that his twenty year reunion with an old crush had taken an unexpected but pleasurable turn. He’d go along with this fabrication.
"What I understand is that you put her in a family way then haven’t spoken to her in two months."
"Not from lack of trying. I have sent many requests to.... what did you say?" Sirius blinked rapidly as his brain processed the first half of that accusation. He had put it to his Luna in many ways; missionary, with her riding his cock and even while spooning but none of it was in a family way. What family way? She couldn’t mean.. "Are you implying that I have put her in a compromised position?"
"You bet your black hairy arse you did. I did the charm myself. Now, what do you plan to do about it?"
"Can I speak to him alone?" Luna found her voice finally. From the look upon his face he hadn’t been expecting that part. This was something they needed to discuss alone. She wasn’t going to demand anything from him. This was her problem.
~
"I’m going to vomit," Ginny groaned as the smell of burnt meat assaulted her nose. Someone had forgotten to turn the meat. She rubbed her hand along the pink cotton maternity dress. So far she had only a small bump to announce her pregnancy. Unlike the blonde standing next to her wearing the same design but in a light blue. The garment was made to be comfortable but cool. The weather was already warm for April.
Luna smiled happily in the vain hopes that her friend did. Two weeks had passed since she had lost any food. There was a chance she’d still lose control of her stomach at this rate. Today was Molly and Arthur’s anniversary party. It was time to make the big announcement. Well, it was time to stop hiding. Six weeks ago she had become a wife. It had taken over two weeks for Sirius to convince her that marriage together could work. She wasn’t opposed to the idea of trying to be with him, she just didn’t want him to feel trapped into doing the right thing.
"Well, from the sound of it, we will be the last to arrive. Our best bet would be to walk around the back to let them know we are here." Ginny advised hearing the shouting. Everyone would be here today. It was their fortieth. The only two that knew of the other couple was her parents. They had agreed to keep it to themselves until Luna and Sirius felt ready to inform all of their friends and family. Denying the pregnancy wasn’t going to be possible since Luna was showing.
Sirius nodded in agreement. This was the moment he’d been trying to avoid. There was bound to be some comments on him marrying someone younger. There was only one person here he wished to avoid. What would his old friend say? Molly had already scolded him like a five year old. He had assured the woman that he would do what was best for the girl. He had wanted her before, now he knew why he’d never been able to forget her. For six entire weeks he’d woken up next to her angelic face. Their wedding was performed with just Harry and Ginny present. Their wedding night had been one he’d never forget. She had come to bed wearing nothing but a white silk slip. He had taken her three times before getting around to removing it. Every night since then had been splendid. Only twice they had fallen asleep without indulging. Those nights he was just as content to watch her as he sought slumber.
Not only were his nights pleasant but his life had begun to improve. A week after the wedding he had gone to the Ministry to see about a job. With his fortune he didn’t have to but he thought it best if he did something with his time. He had done some brushup training to take up his old position as an Auror. In the morning they’d wake up together, shower and have breakfast. She would always beat him home and would welcome him with a warm smile. He knew it wasn’t in her to put on false airs or to pretend. He had a wife that he had always believed he’d never get.
Ginny grabbed the slender hand, leaving the men behind. Pregnant women needed their food. She would forgo the burnt meat and eat some salad. Unlike Luna she was putting on the pounds. All of the blonde’s weight was strictly babies. The outline of her Mum could be seen standing next to a bushy haired witch. Hermione had gotten permission to leave school just for this weekend. Not like the witch wasn’t already a month ahead in her studies.
Luna felt like she’d been punched in the gut seeing the large group of men standing near the grill. Mr. Weasley had fallen in love with the muggle cooking contraption. The rest of the Weasley clan was standing around talking amongst themselves, along with Kingsley and Remus Lupin. This was the first time she had seen him since her return. He looked exactly as she remembered from the time prior to her trip. All the females were gathered near Molly.
"Ginny!" Hermione rushed forward to give her sister a giant hug. Someone was getting fat and someone was showing. "Luna? You look like Luna but what is that? I thought you were the pregnant one."
"I am, but I’m not the only one." Ginny smirked seeing the stunned expression. She loved Hermione like a sister but she was the only prude here. Poor Ron was being made to wait until marriage to dip his wick. "Luna is actually two weeks behind me."
"She looks two months ahead. What is she having, twins?" Hermione saw the positive nod. Twins? When had the girl gotten a boyfriend? "Wait a minute here, when did you get married? That’s a wedding band on your finger. Is that why you quit along with Ginny? I always believed you too bright to drop out but this explains things. Whose the lucky guy?"
"I am," Sirius spoke loud enough for the witch to hear and many others. After all, Hermione had screeched loud enough to draw the attention of the entire yard. If the nosiest witch of this era was going to pry then they might as well make their announcement. Not caring how it would be perceived he came to stand behind his wife. She readily leaned back into his embrace as he wrapped both arms around her middle. Just one of the many things he loved about her. No matter how often, she was always accepting of his affection. She made his heart burst with adoration as she smiled wide before turning her face to allow him to lean down and place a chaste kiss on the pink lips.
"We’ll be having none of that today. You’ve already ruined her for her own generation, you’ll be allowing her to get some dinner." Molly spoke up while walking towards the couple. It warmed her heart seeing the girl looking so healthy. She gave both girls a quick hug. "You are looking well, dear. I see he took my threat seriously."
"You knew about this Molly?" Tonks spoke up as the group came closer. She had known about her cousin returning to work and had pondered the cause. The man had changed in the last month. Not only did he have an air of self-assurance but seemed genuinely happy. It was easy to see now why he was always smiling. Even after that command her cousin still had a possessive arm wrapped around the blonde’s waist.
Sirius chose to ignore the comment about knowing all about his indecent behavior. If only the old crone could have witnessed his lovely Luna’s performance last night then he could argue which one of them was indecent. His balls had almost burst as he watched her pleasure herself while begging for him to fuck her. He prayed no one noticed how much his sweet little wife was yawning.
"Something smells delicious, I’m starving." Luna tried to cover up the yawn threatening to escape. Tonight she was going to curl up in bed as soon as they got home. Naturally, this would be after he rubbed her feet and spent some time rubbing her ever growing stomach. While he was ecstatic about the upcoming birth, she was nervous. There was still plenty of time to prepare. Her only thought was if it was still uncomfortable when he rode her hard, how was it going to feel to have a baby squeeze out of her? She did love it when he drove repeatedly in her core. She’d grown accustomed enough to feel mostly pleasure.
He felt extreme anger. Remus swallowed back the bile that rose with the announcement. Seeing the wizard placing a possessive arm around the round waist has his blood stirring. It was hard to keep the beast inside from reacting. Every time he saw the girl he had to reinstate the fact that it wasn’t the same Luna. He refused to believe it possible. She hadn’t aged a day and he had seen her as a young witch. Just twelve years old sitting in his classroom while he taught. Her scent had stirred his wolf then. There was no way he could replace the one that got away. What pissed him off was that his old friend was doing just that. He had known that Sirius had wanted the same girl. How could he do something so selfish? That girl was innocent.
"I’ll be right back." He was being addressed. Sirius saw the quick nod to the right indicating that he was wanted. His wife gave him a sad smile as he began to follow the wolf. For twenty minutes he trailed behind Moony until the man came to a stop. He knew his friend wouldn’t be happy with this development. Should he tell the truth or just admit to being a pervert? He didn’t want anyone to think of ill of him. He cared for his wife. No, it wasn’t just care that he felt. It went deeper than that.
Remus waited until they were just inside the strand of woods before reacting. He’d known the mutt to do a lot of foolish things but this topped them all. That girl didn’t deserve to be used so the man could relive the past. He spun and struck out with all the pent up frustration of the last five years. His fist made a solid connection with the aristocratic nose. "What the hell do you think you are doing? Do you have any idea how selfish you are being?"
This was the second time he’d been slugged in his nose for touching his wife. This time he’d been expecting the hit and allowed it. He knew it was only going to get worse. He knew he had to tell Moony the truth. "Selfish? How is marrying the woman I love selfish?"
"Love? You don’t love her!" Remus couldn’t believe that the man couldn’t see that they weren’t the same. "You don’t even know her. Don’t you think I’ve thought about it? I admit she is the splitting image of her but I taught that child in my class. You are cruel by marrying her. She isn’t Luna."
"Yes, she is." Sirius ran a hand through his hair. "Dammit, Moony. I wanted to say something before but you’re right. I am a selfish bastard. She’s Luna. Luna Deveroux didn’t simply go home. I wasn’t on the train that holiday break because I was saying goodbye to her. Our Luna is and always was Luna Lovegood. The accident Ginny told us about in Slughorn’s classroom is the accident that brought her to us. I knew the truth then. I knew, I knew all along that they were one and the same. I kept it to myself waiting for the day she would return from the past."
Remus felt like he’d been punched in the chest. They were the same? No, he wouldn’t believe that. All this time he had constantly made himself believe that he was merely wishing for what couldn’t be. And his friend had known and hadn’t told him. "She is Luna." The Luna that had reached out to him and he had turned her away. The first woman to stir any form of emotional attachment. His Luna. No longer his, but the wizard’s before him. His friend had waited for her to return to make sure he got a chance. "You waited so you could have her."
"Do you want me to deny it?" Sirius hollered in frustration waving his hand frantically in front of him. He didn’t know what else to say. "Yes, I lied. I will not apologize for what I did. You had your chance and you turned her away. I may have discovered the truth by accident. That doesn’t change the fact that she is now my wife. Do I regret having to lie to a friend, the answer is yes but I’d do it all over again."
"Even though you knew how I felt?" Remus couldn’t believe his friend would be so selfish. The man had no excuse for what he’d done. "You knew all this time who she was! You knew even before I married your cousin. I know James told you how I felt. You knew I loved her then. You even knew that she was the reason I was so reluctant to marry Dora. We talked about it! I told you how Moony reacted towards that girl. I confided in you."
"Dammit, I know. I’m a lousy friend and an arse." Sirius couldn’t believe it had come down to this. "You say I knew how you felt then. You knew how I felt. You weren’t the only one that wanted her. I didn’t tell you the truth for one main reason. I wanted you to consent to Dora’s pursuit so you’d be out of the picture. There I said it. I wanted you out of the way so when she returned I could have my chance. She’s my wife and I will not let you near her."
Remus took a deep breath and felt his stomach tighten. He should have known. The year he’d taught he’d made a point to ignore and keep away from her for that reason, especially near the full moon. Now, he knew what his instincts were trying to tell him. "You knew I too was waiting. When we returned you pretended to understand when I said I wanted to search for her. For over a year you stood there as I worried about never seeing her again. You knew I loved her. When you saw her again at the Ministry I told you how I felt still. I confided to you that the reason I didn’t want to be with Dora was because I still loved another. You bastard, you convinced me to give your cousin a chance because you wanted me out of the way. I listened to your lies."
"I’m sorry I lied, I am but I love her too. The hope of seeing her again was the only thing that kept me from giving up while I rotted away in that hell. Hate me if you must but for once in my life I will not step aside." Sirius wouldn’t give her up. Remus did have a wife, this changed nothing.
"Very well, I forgive you." Remus unclenched his jaw. He wasn’t sure what to do with this new information. What he did know was that the only reason he hadn’t given into the temptation of pursuing the blonde because he didn’t want to try to replace his Luna with a fake. Now that he knew they were one in the same he wasn’t sure how he’d proceed. He would never cheat on his wife. It didn’t matter that he wasn’t in love with his wife, he did care for her and he loved his son. There was nothing he could do now. "You’ve gotten what you wanted. Seeing as I’m not in a position to do anything. Pray that doesn’t change."
~
It was hard not to belch as she sat the glass down upon the table. Luna tilted her head to the side seeing her husband trailing slowly beside Remus. The two had taken some time to speak. She knew what they were talking about. How would he take the news? All of it? It would be a shock to learn that she had been the girl that had once visited. To also learn that she was now married to his friend. Would he think her wrong to end up with someone old enough to be her father? Hermione had already had her say on the matter. Stating it might not work out but wished them well all the same. For the sake of the two she carried, she wanted to do her best to make this marriage work.
A blush crept into her cheeks thinking of her marriage. Sirius was being very attentive. Not once since they were married had he not come home at night. Each night she waited up and they’d go to bed together. Her only complaint so far was she often woke up cold because he stole the covers. He’d be cuddled up next to her but the covers would be on him and the rest behind him draping to the floor. Every time it happened he’d apologize while trying to warm her up. It was very sweet of him. It made her wonder about the rumors that had surrounded him during school. For a notorious flirt he never paid any attention to other females whenever they went shopping. All the girls that had gossiped about his shagging and leaving without so much as a thank you. Their first time she had been the one to leave without speaking to him. From the first night as a couple, he would always hold her or spend time together afterwards. Ginny said the man’s attentiveness came from years of being alone in prison.
"Did you leave anything for me?" Sirius eyed the glass of pumpkin juice that had only about an inch left at the bottom. It kept his attention away from the frowning werewolf. He was positive that she would ask about their conversation. He had no problems informing her of most of the conversation. He however would not tell his wife of the threat. He knew Remus would not do anything while married. Seeing as his dear cousin was completely devoted to his old friend, there was nothing to worry about.
"A sip," Luna smiled as strong arms wrapped around her waist. It was nice to lean back against the hard chest. Was it wrong to enjoy how warm and safe it made her feel? The tender way he caressed her stomach. The way his mustache tickled the shell of her ear before the moist brush of his mouth sent shivers down her spine. Or the way her body reacted feeling the stiffness beginning to press into the curve of her backside. Her hormones seemed to be in overdrive. So many emotions blossomed having the man so close. Being a wife hadn’t been planned but she had vowed to love her husband. "Promise to rub my feet later and I’ll let you have some."
A/N: Glad it was decent enough that you read long enough to get to this point. LOL. Please review, for me. Would like any comments or suggestions. Sorry, if there was any horrible mistakes, I do my own editing. Also, this title will only have one more part which I'm currently working on. After that I am up for suggestions on what the next pairing will be. If you want to see a certain pairing or if you have a theme/prompt you'd like to see I'm all ears. Thanks again!
