Chapter 3: Video Girl
Harry rushed into the flat and yelled, "HERMIONE ARE YOU HOME?!" He didn't wait for an answer as he turned on the TV and turned it up. Hermione came rushing out of the bathroom wearing her bath robe, "Harry why are you shouting?" she asked, "Watch this," he turned the volume up and there they both saw Kelsey and Riley both with smiles on their faces.
"Hey Europe Kelsey and Riley here from Outsiders and we have a special announcement." Kelsey said then turned it over to Riley.
"We are looking for a 'Video Girl' to be in our new music video."
"Finalist will meet us and the rest of the guys here in Paris."
"We will not reveal who is the winner until we premiere our video next month."
"Good luck and we will seen you soon." They both waved at the camera and then it switched to a woman, "Well there you have it. If you want the information..." Harry turned down the volume and looked at Hermione who was tightly grasping his hand. "Hermione you have to do this," he told her and before she could say anything she heard her cell phone go off.
She got up and grabbed it off the corner table and answered it.
"Hello?"
"You have to be my video girl," the voice said. She didn't know what to say or do.
"Hermione, please, I don't know what it is about you but I can't stop thinking about you. I'm going to send you the information and I really want you to audition. Please Hermione," and with that Riley hung up. "Hermione?" She turned around and saw Harry standing there with a look of concern on his face. "You okay?" he asked putting his arm around her. She just nodded and heard her phone go off and noticed she had a new e mail. She looked at Harry and nodded, "Okay I'll do it."

Riley sat back in her chair as she heard the crew and her friends going over what they wanted for the video. Riley just sat back as they were all arguing at once. Just then the door opened and Danielle came walking in. She went up to Riley and gave her a small kiss. Riley smiled and watched as she walked to the front of the room. "Now boys let's hear some ideas," she said as she sat at the head of the table.
"Okay well we all can agree that we want water involved some how," Ryan said.
"Something like that rain water fall thing in the background as Riley's singing and the girl is wrapping her arms around her," Eric noted.
"Like water shadows and as we're playing the song we have the same back water fall and jamming out," Mike piped in.
"Pretty much we want to keep it simple. Plus we want to show flashback type of story between Riley and the video girl. So pretty much they have to have chemistry and be able to be all 'in love' with each other," Kelsey said looking at Danielle.
"Okay now what does the crew want?"
"The fucking crew wants me in the bed the entire fucking time with the girl singing to her pretty much," Riley said standing up and lighting a cigarette. Every one looked at her in shock. She hasn't said a word since they walked into the room. "They don't wanna focus on the rest of the band just me and the girl. I like the water idea where there's shots of me and the girl. Then shots of the guys playing. With the water shadows happening the flash backs are projecting on me and the video girl and we dance and have fun as I sing to her."
"But the bed thing works every one has done a video like that it's what's hot right now," the guy with a beard and sunglasses said.
Danielle sat back and saw how upset Riley was. The band had a great idea and the director didn't. She looked at Riley and she was looking out of the large window puffing on her cigarette. She looked at the director and smiled, "If you're not going to do it the way my band wants it then you won't do it at all." With a smug look she gathered up her papers and got up. She put a hand on Riley's back in a loving way and then left the room.
The guy with the beard looked stunned as he watched Danielle walk out of the room. One by one Riley's friends began to leave. Riley looked at the director and the crew he had with him, "You have forty eight hours," she said and put out her cigarette. The crew watched as she walked out of the room and they started to talk amongst themselves about what they were going to do.
Kelsey waited for Riley to come out of the conference room. "What a day," he told her and she just pulled out her phone and sent a message to Hermione wanting to meet up somewhere after the audition. Her best friend just shook his head as they got into the elevator. "So according to Ryan we have a lot of girls that want to be the video girl. But why do I get the feeling you already picked the girl?" he asked with a smirk.
"Well I do have a girl in mind that isn't Danielle."
Kelsey knew who she was talking about but he didn't want to give anything away. He wanted the get them back together and hopefully Eric and Susan as well. He looked at his watch and sighed. It was time for them to check out some of the girls for the video. He knew Danielle wouldn't be part of this and she did leave up to them to choose the girl. But he was worried that if Danielle and Hermione do meet it would cause a lot of problems. He just hope nothing drastic will happen between the two of them.
The doors opened and the two friends walked into another lobby and they heard cheers and saw flashes of light. Luckily they brought their sunglasses and were wearing them because of the flashes. They smiled and waved and signed autographs then went to the front of the room and some one gave Riley a mircophone.
"Thank you all for coming out today. There's a lot of you and we will be sitting in on this audition we are pretty much looking for some one to have chemistry with me. Yes I know I'm a girl so if you're just here for your fifteen minutes of fame then the door is right there." She paused and looked around and about ten girls left. "In this it will be focused on a couple me and the girl and we just need to get that chemistry down. So if you change your mind and don't want to be seen all over the world with another girl again please leave." Another ten girls left. "One last thing you be afraid to kiss me." This time no one left. "Okay let's get started." She smiled and gave the microphone back to the person and walked into the room with her friends.
Hermione, Ginny, Emma, and Luna were all waiting in line. "Thank you guys so much for coming with me," Hermione said looking at her friends. "Hey anything to get you guys back together," Emma said giving her friend a side hug.
"Yeah plus didn't you two have like a coffee date or something?" Ginny teased. Hermione just blushed and smiled. She wasn't trying to hide it at all, "Ginny keep it down you never know who could be the press around here," she whispered. Luna just laughed, "You forget I'm the press." The friends laughed and then some started to call names for the audition. The girls all held hands, "So it starts," Emma smiled at her friend who looked to be over the moon.

"Oh come on Riley what's wrong with Luna she was perfect! Blonde blue eyes, great body!" Mike said as they told the doorman to give them a moment. "Mike I need chemistry and I wasn't getting that from her."
"You said the same thing about Ginny and Emma they were amazing as well," Ryan said looking at their resumes.
"We have two more to look at so let's get it over with," Kelsey said and the doorman called a name.
Meanwhile Hermione was waiting to get her name called when they called the other girl instead of her she again had to get her heart under control. Emma, Ginny, and Luna were sticking around to offer her support. "Why am I last?" Hermione asked her friends who all shrugged, "I don't know maybe because they're saving the best for last?" Ginny suggested. Before Emma could answer the girl that went before her left in a hurry muttering something about them being shallow.
"Granger, Hermione" the doorman called. Hermione bit her lip and her friend gave her a reassuring hug each and she slowly walked through the door way. As she walked in her heart started to race again. There was Riley sitting in the middle talking with her friends. Again she was wearing her famous black hoodie with a tank top under, skinny jeans and her favorite black and white converse. Her hair was in a mowhawk again but this time it was longer and slicked back. It was times like this that she just wanted to feel Riley again.
"And your name is..." a voice came bringing her back from her thoughts. She looked and Eric was waiting for her to answer, "Sorry I'm Hermione Granger," she said walking up to the table and giving them her resume and head shot. She walked back to the center of the room and Riley stood up and walked up to her and stood facing her friends.
"Okay so we're gonna come up with a situation and you two act it out from the top of your heads," Mike explained then the four the started to whisper. She caught Kelsey's eye and he smiled and winked at her letting her know it would be okay. Riley turned her head to Hermione, "Just act out what you feel, say what you feel," Hermione took a breath and nodded.
"Okay so here's the situation. Hermione you haven't seen Riley since she shipped off to fight some war or something. She's back and you're with some one else. Now Riley comes to your house and you're surprised to see her cause you thought she was dead, and go," Ryan said.
Riley walked away from Hermione took off her sunglasses and hoodie and took a deep breath. Hermione turned her back closed her eyes and did the same thing. Riley got shook out her arms and rolled her shoulders and then nodded. She walked up to Hermione and Ryan knocked on the table pretending it to be a door. Hermione turned around and pretended to open the door and stood in shock.
"Hey I'm home."
Hermione shook her head, "They told me you were dead." Riley shook her head and put her hands on Hermione's arms, "No, I mean I thought I was but I'm here and I'm alive." Riley tried to pull her into a hug but Hermione backed away, "I've moved on I'm with someone else. Someone who cares and loves me."
"I came back for you. You kept me alive while I was away. I only thought of you. After everything we've been through you couldn't wait for me?"
"I'm sorry but I've moved on and seeing you again...I just I don't know how to feel about it."
Hermione turned her back and Riley went up to her and wrapped her arms around her, "What about the love we had. We told each other forever and that's what I'm holding onto right now." Hermione closed her eyes and the tears began to fall. She turned around and looked into those eyes she missed so much. She brought up her hand and touched Riley's cheek, "I've missed you so much," she whispered.
Riley took her hand, "I promise I won't leave you. Not now not ever," she whispered. The two stood like that just staring into each others eyes not saying a word.
"This is the best so far," Eric whispered to Ryan who nodded his head. Mike couldn't help but agree as well. Out of all the girls this was the best they had all day. Kelsey smiled, "Okay you two that's good enough for today."
Riley and Hermione came back to reality and slowly pulled away from each other. Kelsey grabbed a piece of paper and walked up to Hermione, "So we've decided that you make it to the next round. For the next round it's gonna be a little bit of dancing so here's all the information and let's see if you can make it to the finals."
"Thank you," She said wiping her eyes and Kelsey gave her a tissue. "This means a lot to me." Riley came up to them and she gave her a hug, "So I will see you soon," she said and Hermione nodded and left the room.
"Well Riley looks like you've already picked, but you know you have to play fair," Mike said coming up to her. She nodded, "Yeah honestly she was the best one yet. Now I just have to see if she can make it through." Her phone went off and she checked it and tried to hide her smile. "I'm gonna go and get some coffee; alone, after today I just need to breath."
"Okay that's fine we have to be in the studio on Monday anyway so I'm gonna go and explore more of the night scene," Ryan said clapping his hands together and the other guys agreed. Riley laughed, "You guys have fun and I will see you Monday." They all hugged Riley and went their separate ways.
Riley snuck passed the press and met Hermione at their new spot. A small cafe that was hidden on the outskirts of the the city. She smiled as she walked up to her and gave her a lingering hug. They pulled away and smiled, "Shall we," Riley said and opened the door for Hermione.

"As far as I know they still don't remember a thing. I mean the charm is working perfectly. Nothing can stop it so far. I know, it's only a matter of time now. We've waited this long. The wedding is still gonna happen on the day. She's totally smittened with me she has no idea what's to come."
"As far as my brother and they others they have no idea. We finally got her where we want her. No, I haven't seen any signs of Potter or Granger. I will let you know as soon as I see them. You will get my report in a few days. Of course. I love you too."
Danielle hung up the phone and then looked out of her large window over the night lights of the city of Paris. It was only a matter of time before everything finally came into place. She smiled as she looked out and sipped on her tea. Riley wouldn't know what hit her on the day of their wedding. This was a plan that has taken years to come into play and now nothing could ruin it. Not even Hermione Jane Granger.
