Chapter 02: Unanswered Questions

A/N: Will I think I am going to give you all some chapters before I return to working on the Golden Fate and my other Dragon Ball Fanfics so how does that sound to you all. ^-^

When that happen Harry jumped because there was some one at the door of the house then he got up and ran into the dark part of the room as who ever that was behind the door keep knocking. Then the knocking stopped for a bit and it was quiet. Harry was scared to move so he staid where he was in the dark corner of the room.

When Harry thought the knocking has stopped there was another loud bang at the door this woken Dudley and he looked at Harry. “Are we being attacked by Cannons.” Dudley asked stupidly then he jumped when he heard a crash then he turned and saw his parents coming into the room and his father was holding a rifle. “Daddy what are you doing to do with that.” Dudley said as he looked at Vernon.

“Son get behind me” Vernon said then he looked around. “Where is Harry?”

“He is over there in the corner yet you can’t tell that he is there.” Dudley said as he pointed to where Harry was hiding.

“Good Harry you stay there.” Vernon said then he looked at the door. “Who ever you are I want you to know that I am armed so you better leave as fast as you can?” Vernon said as he walked closer to the door with Petunia behind him yet Dudley was to scared to move behind his dad.

There was no noses coming from out side then there was a load bang. This bang caused enough force to throw the door off the hinges and the door crashed onto the floor with a load bang. When the door fallen to the ground in came a really tall man. He looked to be like a giant almost to the Dursleys. He had long shaggy head of hair and a mess beard that covered his face yet you could still see his eyes and they looked like beetles that shinny in the darkness. Once he was all the away in his head lightly tapped the ceiling then he bent down as he picked up the door so he could fix the door. When the door was fixed he looked at the Dursleys. He smiled then he looked at Petunia. “Can yeh make me a cup o’ tea please. It has not been easy trying to find you all.” He said softly then he moved to where Dudley was sitting at then he looked at him. “Yeh will get sick if yeh not dressed right yeh know.” He said as he sat on the sofa by Dudley.

“Ahh” Dudley screamed then he ran behind Vernon in fear.

“Huh so where is Harry at!” The giant said as he looked around.

Harry jumped before he stepped out of his hiding place. “I am right here yet how do you know me.” Harry said as he looked at the man.

The man smiled at Harry. “Ah yeh gotten big yet still little short for yer age. Las’ I saw of you, you where just a tiny baby.” He said with a smile. “Yeh look so much like yer father yet you got yer mother’s eyes.”

Vernon made a displeased sound with his nose then he looked at the man. “I am ordering you to leave this place if you know what is good for you. I have a gun and I am not afraid to use it.” Vernon said as he point the rifle at the man.

“Would you shut up you old prune if you know what is good for you.” The man said then he pulled the rifle out of Vernon’s hand then he made it into a knot like it was nothing just like rope then he throw it acrossed the room.

“Eek.” Vernon squealed like a mouse that was caught in a tarp.

The man looked back at Harry. “Anyway Harry I would like to say Happy Birthday to you.” He said then he pulled out a smashed up box. “I got you a birthday cake for you. It is good still and I thought you might want it because it is your birthday.” He said as he hold out the cake.

Harry took the box and open it. What he saw was the words Happy Birthday Harry on it yet it was messed up yet still readable. Harry looked at the man with his head tilled to one side. “Who are you?” Harry said as he looked at the man.

This made the man chucked. “Oh forgive me for not tell you who I am. Will my name is Rubeus Hagrid, The keeper of keys and grounds of Hogwarts.” The man said before he took Harry’s arm and shocked it as to say hello. When that was done he smiled. “So what about some tea it is kinda cold out and we have a long journey ahead of us or do yeh want summat stronger to keep yeh wake because yeh look half sleepy.” He said then he looked at the fireplace before he lend in so they would not see what he was going then he pulled back when there was fire in the fireplace. This warmed up the house and Harry enjoyed the heat. When the fire was lite the man sat back upright and pulled out some things out of his coat. They where kettle, sausages, a porker, a teapot, mugs, and a bottle of some odd colored amber stuff that he took a drink of then he started to make the tea while he cook the sausages which made Harry hungry but not just Harry but Dudley too.

Dudley looked at the sausages with his mouth open as it water. Vernon pulled Dudley back behind him. “Stop boy I would not trust this man. He might poison you with his food, Dudley.” He said as he pulled him behind him.

The man just chuckled then he looked at Vernon. “Do not worry yer son is already fat and he can lose some weight. This food is for Harry. He looks under weight and needs his energy before he comes with me.” The man said before he gave the sausages to Harry. “Eat you would need it. We have a lot of things to do once we get were we’re going.” He said.

No one talked for some time when Harry ate when he was done he looked at the man. “I am still lost on the whole thing. Who are you, sir.” Harry said as he looked at the man.

The man was drinking some tea before he swallowed it then he looked at Harry after he wiped his mouth. “You do not have to call me sir. You can call me Hagrid because everyone does. An’ like I said, I’m the keeper of Keys at Hogwarts. Yeh’ll know all about Hogwarts don’t yeh.” Hagrid said.

Harry blinked then he looked down. “Er.. Um no.” Harry said with his head down and his eyes close. Hagrid looked at him with total shock. “I’m sorry did I say something wrong.” Harry said.

“You should not be sorry, Harry.” Hagrid said then he looked at the Dursleys who where backing away into the darkness of the room. “It should be them that should be sorry not you, Harry! I when I was told yer where not getting yer letters I thought the owls could not fine yeh yet but this I never thought was be the chase of this that yeh were never told about Hogwarts, fer cryin’ out load! Did yeh ever asked yer self about who yeh where, who where yeh parents, and where did they learn about all of it?”

Harry tilled his head as he looked at Hagrid. “Huh learn what?” Harry said.

“Learn what?” Hagrid yelled loudly that it sound like thunder crackling. “Now hold on jus’ a second here!” He said as he jumped to his feet then he looked at the Dursleys, who where pushed up onto the wall in fear. “You mean ter tell me that this boy. This boy that we put in yer care does not know a thing about who he is, who his parents were, what bloodline he came from, and about his powers.” Hagrid said with his hand pointed to Harry.

“Um I know few things like...” Harry said yet stopped when Hagrid turned to him. “Like math and stuff like that. Also aaa boy um who is my age yet I do not know his name yet that is it.” Harry said as he made him self smaller then what he was.

Hagrid waved his hand in the air as he looked at Harry. “That is not want I mean. Like about our world, I mean. Your world. My world. Yer parent’s world. Also your fated one’s world.” Hagrid said calmly.

Harry looked at Hagrid like he was clueless. “ Huh what world and what is this fated one.” Harry said.

Hagrid looked like he could blow up the top of his head off then he looked at the Dursleys. “Dursley!” He yelled again then he looked at them with cold and hateful eyes. Vernon was trying to speak yet he could not fine his voice to speak. Hagrid looked back at Harry. “But yeh must have known somethin’ about yer mom and dad.” He said. “I mean they’re famous and so are you. You’re famous, Harry.”

“Huh what? My parents were not famous nor am I. I am just me. I am no one else but me. I am nothing special will besides my um wings yet that is it but that is it there is nothing to me but that.” Harry said.

Hagrid looked at Harry. “You don’ know you say. You don’ know a thing but that you have wings.” He said as he ran his fingers through is hair. “Yeh don’ know what yeh are at all, Harry? Yeh are what we call a rare child yeh....” Hagrid stopped when he heard something.

“I order you to stop this and don’t tell him what he is. He is just a child. He is to young to know what he is. I forbid you to speak to him about this. He should not know. He should never know.” Vernon said as he looked at Hagrid yet he was scared of what could happen to him if he did something wrong.

Hagrid looked at Vernon then he looked more mad. “So you never told him what he was and what was in that letter Dumbledore left for you to give to him when he was seven. You had to tell him at the age of seven about his life and who he is along with what he is to become. He is not just any normal child that was left on your door step. He is the key to keeping our world and your world safe yet you keep it from him all these years. Now he has been in the dark for this long. He should know the truth not be keep in the dark any longer.” Hagrid said as he turned to Harry again.

“Huh tell me what? What have I been in the dark about all my life? What is going on?” Harry said.

Before Hagrid could speak Vernon walked up to him and got in between Harry and Hagrid. “I said stop! I forbid you to speak any more to the boy.” Vernon yelled.

“Vernon please be careful.” Petunia said as she hold out her hand.

Hagrid looked at them. “It is about damn time this boy knows the truth about him self so yeh two shut up and go put yer head under hot water would yeh.” Hagrid said as he looked at them before he turned to Harry. “Yer a wizard yet not just that yer a child of the moon. It had been fifty years since a child of the moon as been born. Yet yer not just that yer the reincarnation of one of the creators of magic and life.” Hagrid said after that was said the room filled up with silence the only thing that could be heard was the sound of the wind and sea that was out side.

Harry looked at Hagrid oddly. “I... I... am a what? What are you saying I can’t be what you are saying that I am.” Harry said as he backed upped.

“A wizard and child of the moon, o’ course. What else would you be?” Hagrid said then he walked back to the sofa and sat down. “An’ a thumpin’ good’un, I say. But with trainin’ and teachin’ yeh be just like the one you are reincarnation of. He was a good wizard even if he was an angel but he was the best. So I reckon yeh be just like him when yeh get more hold of yer magic. So I think it is about time yeh read yer letter for school then once that is done I tell yeh more on are to where we need to be.” Hagrid said then he pulled out a letter and gave it to Harry.

Harry read the letter then he read it again. He did not know what to say. He had so many things he wanted to ask that this letter was only given half of his unanswered questions he had more. He wanted to know who the boy of his dreams way and who was this fated one that Hagrid spoken of. He looked at Hagrid. “Um what does this part mean that they be waiting for my owl? I do not know what that means I have no clue this is so new to me.” Harry said as he pointed to the part about the owl.

“Oh thanks for reminding me.” Hagrid said before he pulled out a real live owl from his coat then he wrote something down. When he was down he rolled it up before given it to the owl. After that he got up then he send the owl out of the door into the storm. When he was done he sat back down on the sofa before he looked at Harry. “Hmm where was I.” He said as he ran his hand over his beard.

“He will not be going.” Vernon said again.

Hagrid looked at Vernon. “I like to see how can a muggle like your self stop him from going to Hogwarts and learning about magic along with who he is. Also how can yeh keep him from his fated one. If Harry does not come with me I bet his fate one would feel Harry is calling him and appear to your door step. You where to keep Harry to the age of eleven and after that he would pick where he should go from there. And now that he is eleven it is time you let him be a man and pick where he wants to go.” Hagrid said.

“Um Hagrid what did you call uncle Vernon.” Harry said as he looked at Hagrid.

“A Muggle.” Hagrid said then he sighed when he got an odd look from Harry. “It’s it a term us magic folk use for people like them. They are nonmagic folk so we call them muggle.” Hagrid said then he looked at Dudley and Vernon.

“But I never seen muggles as fat as yer uncle and cousin.”

Vernon looked mad. “You hear me you block head. He is not going to that school. Once we taken him in we vowed to put a stop to this magic nonsense and as go for his wings we are going to have them remove when we get back so he will never let them out ever again. He will be a normal boy and be raised like a normal boy not some wizard. We will find a way to rid of him of his magic and his wings.” Vernon said as he pointed at Harry.

“Wait what you knew I was a wizard yet you never told me.” Harry said he tried to ignore the part about removing his wings. He just could not believe that Vernon and Petunia wanted this for him. He thought Petunia loved him yet the look in her eyes she was giving him told him another story. This started to make him feel unhappy so this made his wings come out.

Petunia looked at Harry with hate and disgust as she looked at Harry yet it was not because of the wings or him being Lily’s son it was because he was James’ son and a wizard and that now it was out in the open. “Knew!” Petunia said then she walked to Harry and made him look at her. “Of course we knew. Every thing was great before your mother gotten her letter. She and I were close. Yet when she left for that school she changed. She was not her old self. She disliked me. She treated me like dirt because I was not happy for her. I was always in her shadow when she came home. It was like I was nothing to our parents. Yet when she was done with school we started to be a family again then James shown and taken her away.” Petunia said as she rubbed Harry’s cheek then she grabbed his chin when he tried to look away.

“When he showed up on our door step and asked my parents for Lily’s hand in marriage. I hate James for taking my sister away. When we started to get along again yet your father hate me. He wanted me out of your mother’s life. Then you where born. I wanted to see you yet your father keep me away. He said he would not allow me a muggle to see you a pure gift of the gods that is what he called you.” Petunia said the she slapped Harry. “You started to look like your mother when you were little yet with each passing day you start to change and look like your father but with Lily’s eyes and smile. I wanted to raise you and love you with out the thought you be like your father a cold hearted bastard that would hate me for being not gifted like you. If I know you look like him I would have never keep you when your parents were blown up by some wizard that wanted to kill you because you what you are a child of the moon.” Petunia said then she starts to slap Harry some more yet then she stopped crying and hugged him. “Why do you have to be like them why could you not leave me. I love you, Harry. Please stay I do not want to lose you like I did with Lily.”

Harry was shocked then he pulled away from Petunia before he looked at her. “So you lied to me that my parents died in a car crash but way did you lie.” Harry said in tears.

Before Petunia could speak Hagrid looks mad. “A car crash!” He yelled loudly. “You told this boy his parents were killed in a car crash. How on Earth can a car crash kill Lily an’ James Potter? It’s unheard of to hear and that is how you see their death to be when it was so much more then that.” He stopped then he looked at Harry. “This boy saved both our world and your world from a great and powerful dark wizard that wanted to kill all half breeds, Muggleborns, and your muggles. You owe Harry your lives yet no you treat him like dirt. Heck even people in our world and your world know of the story yet Harry does not even know it at all.” Hagrid said loudly.

Harry looked at Hagrid. “How did I save everyone. What do I have to do with this all. I do not know what is going on.” Harry said he was calmed down now and his wings were back in his back.

Hagrid looked at Harry in shock. “I never thought I would have to tell you this yet it can’t be helped now. You are old enough to know and you can’t go to Hogwarts with out knowing the story about how you saved the world.” Hagrid said. “Yet when Dumbledore said there he trouble getting you I never thought that this would be this bad.” He said as he shoot death glares at the Dursleys then he looked back to Harry. “It is better yeh know before school starts or you be clueless about why people are coming up to you thanking you.” Hagrid said the he sat down then he looked into the fire. “It begin with a person had a dark heart. He was evil to the core and no one dares to speak his name yet with you not knowing it I guess I should tell you yet everyone in our world knows his name and they fear it even to this day.”

“Who?” Harry said as he sat down by Hagrid.

“Harry I hate saying the name. I do not like thinking about him.” Hagrid said.

“Why does it scare people still it is just a name.” Harry said.

“Harry if you know what he done to so many people you would hate the name too and fear it like we do yet you are to pure hearted and you were just a baby when he killed your parents.” Hagrid said.

“Then can’t you write it down.” Harry said as he looked at Hagrid.

“I would if I could spell the stupid name.” Hagrid said then he sighed then he looked at Harry. “Just because you’re the child of the moon I guess I’ll say the name yet just this once got that, Harry.” Hagrid said then he was glad he got a nod from Harry. “Okay his name was Voldemort.” Hagrid said then he shivered. “There now I said it do not force me to say it again.” He said.

“I will not make you say the name again.” Harry said.

“Okay good now were was I. Oh yeah will it started twenty years ago when the wizarding world was in get pain and sadness. You see at that time we had no hope because all was last. Some blamed it on the falling out of the children of the moon that were mated at the time yet they were not for life like the others before them. Will at that time the dark wizard was getting followers to kill the next children of the moon so we would not have another false hope like we were having with the children of the moon we had at the time. So some wizards and witches joined the dark wizard out of fear, some because they wanted the power he had, and some out of the same ideal he had to stop our world from being lied to by the children of the moon by giving us peace an’ hope. Will you see it was the beginning of the Dark Ages for us, Harry. We could not trust no one, nor did we befriend other wizards or witches that we did not grow up with. Bad things happen back then. So the dark wizard took that as the time to act before another fifty years came an’ another children of the moon were born to fix the mess the other two caused before them. Yet if any one stood up to the dark wizard they would have been killed in painfully. Yet there was only one safe place in the wizarding world at that time and that was Hogwarts. I think Dumbledore was the only wizard You-know-who feared at that time even if he had one child of the moon under his control an’ the other one was ter scared ter face him while he had their ex-mate under his control. But the dark wizard didn’t dare try the school because he was not powerful yet even if with his followers, anyways.” Hagrid stopped then he sighed.

Harry just watched Hagrid and waited for him to start talking again because he wanted to know more about their world. “Will then there was yer parents they were both good witch an’ wizard that I ever knew. They were head boy an’ girl back in their days in Hogwarts. Yet the myst’ry is why did You-Know-Who never tried to get ’em on his side before made me question things. Maybe it was because they were close ter Dumbledore ter think about getting or could it have been another matter I never know that even to this day. I question why did he not try to turn them.” Hagrid said as he looked at Harry.

Harry was about to speak say something yet he stopped when Hagrid started up again. “Will when he plot to go look for your parents he could not find them to Halloween night ten years ago and you where born. You were just one years old when he came ter your home. He came to...” Hagrid stopped and started to cry the he blew his nose in a handkerchief. “I am sorry.” He said as he looked down. “Yer mum an’ dad were the nicest and kindest people yeh ever meet.” He said then he looked down. “You-Know-Who killed ’em before he tried to kill you yet what I did not know why to the day I found out you were a child of the moon when we left you on the Dursleys’ door step. You most have had yer wings out when he tried to kill you. You see that scare on yer head not a normal scar it was caused by dark magic. But no one lives through that curse will not to yeh yet you are not a normal wizard after all, Harry. Only few knew that you were a child of the moon. So you better keep that hidden yet if you meet yer fated one he would know what you are right away so do not fear him.” Hagrid said with that he was done with his story about the past and Harry’s life that was not known to him.

When Hagrid was done Harry got a glimpse of bright green light that was more clearer then the other times followed by dark laughter then there was a flash of pure white light that he never seen before then he saw wings which he know where his wings around him. When that was over he shocked his head because he felt dizzy for some reason then he looked at Hagrid. Yet before he could say a thing Hagrid said some thing yet Harry did not know what. “Huh.” Harry said as he looked at him.

“I said are you okay your look like you about to pass out.” Hagrid said.

“Oh yeah I am okay I just felt real dizzy yet I think it has past now.” Harry said.

“Oh okay but that is good now. You know I watched over you to Dumbledore know what he wanted to do with you. You where not that bad yet you where manly sleeping when I was watching you yet I do not blame you after what happen that day.” Hagrid said then he sighed.

“This is a load of nonsense.” Vernon said after hearing what Hagrid said about Harry’s past. Harry nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Vernon because he forgotten that they were here still. “Now listen to be boy. You are nothing but trouble yet a good beating would fix you before you know it. Yet as for your parents they were nothing but good for nothings. It be better off that they are dead now and the world is a better place with out them in it.” Vernon said as he walked to Hagrid and Harry.

Before Harry could say a word Hagrid was up on his feet point a pink umbrella at Vernon. “I dear yeh to say one more word a bad about Lily and James or the boy because I am not in the mood for your mouth.” Hagrid said as he looked at Vernon with hate. Vernon shut up and backed to the wall were he staid there in silence. “Good that is were you belong.” Hagrid said then he sat back down by Harry.

Harry looked at Hagrid as he moved his feet. “So what happen to Vol... I mean you-know-who?” Harry asked yet he still had more questions like when would he meet his fate one and if he was a child of the moon too just like himself yet that is all Harry could ask because he wanted to know that too.

Hagrid leaned back then he thought for a bit. “That is a good question. No one knows really. One person that saw him at your house said he turned to ash and just blow away in the wind like he was not even there. Yet I do not believe that. I think he is somewhere hiding to he gets his revenge on you for what you did to him. Yet no one really knows for sure. Some say he is laying in wait to get his full power back to get his revenge yet what he does not know is that you are a child of the moon and if you had your fated one at your side you be ten times for powerful then what you are now.” Hagrid said.

Harry was shocked then he looked at Hagrid again after he looked from the floor. “So who is my fated one, is he like me a child of the moon, and when would I meet him.” Harry said with a blush because he was thinking about the boy from his dreams.

“Will yes he is like you he is a child of the moon yet when would you meet yer fated one I do not know. Also your fated one is the one that you should have a dream about. He should have came to on yer seventh birthday because by that time yer mind would be seeking out yer fated one. Yet after you meet him you two would be tested by fate. If you two meet three times or more that means you two would have a better chances of being mates for life. Will that is what I was told by a half child of the moon. She knows more then me and would be teaching you about yer bond and chances of being mates for life.” Hagrid said.

Harry blushed when Hagrid said this. “Oh okay thanks.” Harry said.

“Any time, Harry.” Hagrid said as he messed with Harry’s hair.

Yet Harry was still unsure about him being a wizard. He just did not know. He was wondering about his powers never kick in and made the Dursleys into frogs by now or worse when they hurt him. Yet he still was unsure of all this yet was glad he got the answers that he always wanted to ask and know. “Um Hagrid.” Harry said with his head down.

“Yes what is it, Harry.”

“Um how can I be a wizard. I am a normal boy will besides being a child of the moon there is nothing special with me.” Harry said.

Hagrid throw back his head then he chucked then he looked at Harry. “So your think you not a wizard. So tell me have you ever made things happen when you mad, angry, upset, or doing it with out meaning to do something.” Hagrid said as he looked at Harry. Harry started to think about all the odd things that happen to him then he smiled at Hagrid. Hagrid smiled back and messed up Harry’s hair. “See you are a wizard and if your were not then how could you be a child of the moon if you were not one. You’ll be famous at Hogwarts yet you better keep it a down low about you being a child of the moon because some wizards and witches do not believe that you will bring hope and peace back to the wizarding world.” Hagrid said with a sight.

Vernon was not done he still wanted to see if he could change Harry’s mind about going to Hogwarts. “I haven’t given him the okay to go to that school” Vernon hissed. “He is already enrolled into Stonewall High and he will not be going to that school. I read the letters and he would need nothing but useless junk at that school like wands, spell books, and other junk.” Vernon said.

“He will be going and you a great muggle will not be stopping him from going to his rightful place were he belongs.” Hagrid said. “I would like to see you try to stop Lily an’ James Potter’s son from going ter Hogwarts were he should rightfully be at. If Dumbledore had it his way you would have never had Harry in the first place yet no the creator of the children of the moon had to order him that Harry be sent to live with you. Also he will be in Albus Dumbled...” Hagrid said yet he as stopped when Vernon start to yell.

“I am not paying for some old fart to teach him magic tricks and useless stuff that he would not need.” Vernon yelled over Hagrid.

Hagrid had it that was the final strew and it was time for him to teach Vernon some manners and to never mock magic again. “Never ever let me hear you insult Albus Dumbledore with me around again.” Hagrid yelled then he pointed his umbrella at Dudley then he flicked his umbrella and made a flash of violet light before Dudley started running around squealing like a pig while he had his hands on his bottom and there was a pigs tail on his bottom. Vernon and Petunia where trying to get the son to calm down while they were busy so Hagrid looked at Harry. “Ready to go.” He said.

“Oh okay.” Harry said before he got up and ran to the bag that was by the wall on the other said of the room then he gone to the door. “Yeah I am ready to go.” Harry said.

“Okay yet you would not need that bag but you can bring it.” Hagrid said then they left before the Dursleys could stop them. “Oh if any one ask you if this ever happen do not tell you see I am not allowed to do magic out off the school grounds yet you might be able to use magic off the school grounds.” Hagrid said then he stopped. “Will um unless it is in the wizarding world you can yet that is it. But in the muggle world it is not allowed. Also I was meaning to turn yer uncle into a pig yet it was more funny with your cousin. Also I was given this job to get the letter to yeh and get yer things for yeh then head back to Hogwarts after that.” Hagrid said.

“Oh okay yet why you not allow to you magic.” Harry said.

“Will I was kicked out of school in my third year yet Dumbledore keeps me on the grounds because I know a lot about the grounds and stuff.” Hagrid said.

“Why where you kicked out of the school?” Harry asked

“Will it is gettin’ late and we’ve still gotten a lot of stuff to do tomorrow before you start at Hogwarts.” Hagrid said as he took off his coat and given it to Harry. “You can use that to kip warm because we do not want you sick for your first day at Hogwarts do we.” Hagrid said then he got onto a motorcycle that he borrowed from Remus again so he could get Harry.

Harry got in the passenger side sit before he covered up. “Yeah I do not want to be sick. It would be bad if I was because I do not want people hating me for my first day.” Harry said. With that said they where off. Harry was shock that they took off into the air. Hagrid smiled that Harry was enjoying his time then when Hagrid was about to ask Harry if he liked the ride yet he saw Harry was asleep.

“Sleep will, Harry.” Hagrid said then he smiled as he took them to were they were they need to be.
